Metcalf BBQ at Mean Eyed Cat

Yesterday I gave my boyfriend my card to go get food while we were at the Mean Eyed Cat. He came back with nachos and a small sandwich for me, no drinks. I though the food was ok. But then today I saw the bill… forty-five dollars??!!! Not worth it. I will be spending my money elsewhere in the future for that price. I was shocked. I could have bought my own small brisket and only received maybe a 1/4lb of brisket between the sandwich and the nachos. You can get much more for your money across the street at the Mexican restaurant.

10/10 (first time) I just had the chopped brisket sandwich with a side of Mac n cheese. My first bight made my eyes open in surprise. I didn't even need to use the extra sauce on the side, the meat was already packed full of flavor and was super moist. I wasn't expecting anything bad, but I most certainly wasn't ready for how amazed I was about to be. I even got myself a tank top for the unforgiving Texas heat. Thank youuuuu

My husband and I went here tonight around 5-6 pm. Food was great but my husband now has food poisoning. He’s been throwing up for hours. I will not eat here again. Great way to ruin my birthday weekend. I know it was their food because we literally had not have any food that day.

The food was fantastic! We left Zilker Park looking for BBQ. This was the nearest in our search. Loved the coleslaw and serrano creamed spinach. They tasted homemade. The brisket was excellent. The ribs were tender and tasty. The turkey was very good. Loved the location and the staff was friendly and knew the menu well. Left wishing we lived close by.

Decent bbq. Mac and cheese was dry.

Will never come back on this place again. The staff on the counter taking the order needs customer service skill, very rude and rough. I've observed him and he treats the same with other customers.

Ordered a 1/2 lb. of sliced beef. Not one BITE of lean meat in the entire thing.

Ignore the 1 star reviews...had brisket mac n cheese, and it was AMAZING!!
