"Meteorite is a blink-and-you-miss-it barbecue trailer on the eastern edge of Westlake that’s run by a former Korean kickboxing champion. As fascinating as that story is, the Texas-style barbecue at Meteorite serves is even better. Their signature pepper-crusted brisket is neatly trimmed with just a thin edge of fat right along the edges, yet so tender it pulls apart with a soft tug. All meats are available by the half-pound, but if it’s your first time, go with the three-meat platter to sample the rich pulled pork and spare ribs in mustard-y sauce, too. Just be aware that Meteorite is only open on weekdays until 4pm—if you work Downtown, though, it’s the perfect takeout lunch." - brant cox, sylvio martins, nikko duren

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Metrolite Texas BBQ and it exceeded all my expectations. The food was absolutely outstanding - from the tender, smoky brisket to the perfectly seasoned ribs. The flavors were rich and authentic, and it was clear that each dish was prepared with care and expertise. In addition to the exceptional food, the service was top-notch. The owner randy was warm, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, adding to the overall experience. The atmosphere was welcoming and had a relaxed, inviting vibe that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Metrolite Texas BBQ to anyone looking for delicious, authentic BBQ and a fantastic dining experience. I can't wait to return and try more of their mouthwatering offerings.

This barbecue is not produced or cooked on site. The ribs and brisket that I ordered were meat that was cooked days ago. I saw no evidence on site of meat being cooked so I was skeptical but ordered anyway. I have been looking for good barbecue in the downtown area, this is not it!

Finally a great BBQ spot in DT LA! I tried the pulled pork sandwich and brisket with mac. Both meats were well-smoked, tender and juicy. Similar in style to Bludso's, authentic Texas style. Easy parking in what looks like a kickboxing gym lot that they share.

This place is a rip off!!! The bbq is terrible as well. My experience was 11-30-23 i was charged 50$ for 3 ribs 8oz of brisket and a half scoop of rancid Mac and cheese. When i got home i looked a saw what was in my Togo box and I was robbed. This was not food for 2 i was a plate for 1 person at 50$. I went back to check and see if he have me the wrong plate and he said he didn’t. Requested a refund and he refused!!!! DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS
