Went to the store today. I already own a few pieces. The person working today with light brown hair didn’t seem to know more about the products than me and overall wasn’t the strongest representative of the product. I felt I was more passionate and exited about the pieces.

I love my Perriand city bag in Elvis leather and have used EVERY day since I bought it in 2022. It’s accompanied me around the world and I’ve since bought a new wider strap to make long journeys more comfortable. That said, the service, in my experience, is not up to par for a brand that prides itself on customer experience. When I first ordered the bag (I had been in store to view bags but ended up ordering online as I couldn’t get back to S Audley St) I was sent the wrong order confirmation and shipping information and it took a day or two of me explaining the error to the salesperson for him to realize and admit the error before resolving. Since then the bag has broken (minor issue) so I took it to the store a couple of weeks ago. I was told it would be resolved within a week and sent back to me, and that I would be updated. I had to call the store to get an update (no proactive reach out from the team) and was then told that it would take a few more weeks, they didn’t know when it would be returned and that I would have to wait. Ok, fine (not really fine, because I was hoping to have it back before traveling again this week) but good customer service for a luxury brand would dictate being in touch with the customer to let them know vs leaving them hanging with no info until they call. I’ve been contemplating buying a Perriand weekender for my longer travels but I’m put off by my experiences to date of the cost vs quality and experience ratio and I’m disappointed by the rhetoric vs reality.
