Metro Balderas Aztek Food

This is a locally owned restaurant by a couple from Mexico City. Their tortillas are made fresh by hand when you order and their salsas are amazing (Love the guac and coffee salsas)! They have been around about a year or more, but i dont remwmber them being here thay long. but they are so nice and grateful for their customers. My favorite things are the machete (get flor de calabaza and longaniza), their sopes, and their huaraches! You can see them make your food from the dining room and they are happy to talk to you as long as they aren't neglecting other customers, so friendly! My wife is from Mexico City/Toluca and she loves this place and they are in su h a convenient location! If you're looking for some DELICIOUS street style Mexican fast food beyond just tacos (they have these too tho), then this is the place!

Hole in the wall spot, nothing fancy by any means, but the food is solid. I had an al pastor machete and it was great! A touch greasy, but large and great flavor. A number of fresh salsa/sauces were also available.

Best tacos I had in a long time. Perfectly cooked Barbacoa, Asada and Brisket Tacos. The best part? They are all halal. Highly recommended!

What awesome food. We had Dip Takos (deep fried meat and cheese tacos) with Consome. Sooo good! Also the Takos Dorado (deep fried flautas covered with lettuce and cheese and avocado) there are sauces in the fridge to try. These were the best part. Coffee salsa, guakas salsa, red hot chilli sauce, tomatillas sauce,. You have to try this place!

We came here to have lunch and we were pleasantly surprised with the food options, the food is authentic Mexico City street food. They make everything at the moment, with fresh and good quality ingredients. We had the machetes and the sopes and they were super delicious. we meet the owner and she’s a very nice lady and she went above and beyond to customize our order and she also gave us an excellent service! We will definitely be back soon.

It’s a good place but it definitely needs more life! it’s super silent, the food was decent. i bought chips with salsa and the salsa was very tomato like it tasted almost like marinara. it’s also pretty pricey, i did give a $5 tip, but it still came out to $50something for two people.

Very tasty! Salsas are on point. We sat in. Be patient food takes a little bit because it's fresh. Will come back :)

We're visiting Aurora from out of state, so we aren't familiar with many places here. We were hungry for Mexican food, and saw that this place is highly rated and very close to our hotel. We picked a winner! We had the machete and tacos, which were amazing, fresh and delicious. One of my favorite things was the different sauces you can choose from the cooler--great tomatillo and arbol chili salsa, and even the salsa served with our chips was fantastic. Nice people too. Highly recommend.

Amazing food! Really taste homemade true authentic Mexican food, literally straight outta mom's kitchen highly recommend this place!! Staff is so nice and so friendly!!

Basic counter service. Order off the menu on the wall, pay at the counter, take a seat, and they bring your order to you. I had 4 shredded beef takos. I'll describe them as flautas. Good flavor. I liked the 2 salsas on the left. The two on the right were good but common. I'll look forward to trying more menu items.

I'm addicted to the Taco Arabe. The meat tasted like it had a middle eastern flair; I've never had anything like it in a Mexican restaurant. Watch out for that guacamole salsa though, it's got a bite! These were also the best Birria Dip Tacos I've tried. Mind you, I'm not a connoisseur, but I never understood the hype. Now I do! The street tacos are ok, but Birria and Tacos Arabe are amazing! I'll come back for those in a heartbeat!

Had lunch here today after seeing this place on social media and WOW! The elote was sooo good and the quesabirria was AMAZING! Also the restaurant was so clean!

I heard about this place through a friend. I had a passed by the location before they opened always anticipating and hoping the Mexican food was good. Let me tell you, delicious! We had a little bit of everything Asada Al pastor Árabe Our favorites were the Al pastor with the bits of pineapple. So yummy! As a foodie sometimes you don't know how to stop so I ordered a torta that I ended up eating the next day. Only regret was not getting Al pastor. Great service, friendly people at the mom and pop taco spot. Will come again. :)

Big place with good tacos. I really enjoyed the tacos Al Pastor. The are the real deal, made on a spit-grilled trompo with the pineapple on top. Salsa bar has good options for decking out your tacos. The Taco Arabe wasn't my favorite. This place reminds me of a taco restaurant you'd find in Mexico, right down to the scribbled out menu items. Staff was really friendly.

The best birria tacos I have had in Denver! The tacos are super fresh and the lady is super nice. Amazing hot sauce choices. Additionally, can choose the type of protein in your birria taco. A fast casual restuarant.

What a hidden gem in Aurora. I saw this place come up a few times, drive by it a few times, and saw it on social media so I just had to try it. The food here is super delicious. I ordered a barbacoa burrito and when I unwrapped it, I had my doubts because when restaurants serve a huge portion it's usually ok at best. The barbacoa is very good (full of flavor), it had rice, beans, cheese, and it did not need any additional help like hot sauce. Its perfect the way it is. I will definitely be returning to try more.

Needed food while visiting family at the Hampton Inn...the craving for Mexican food was high and this was a close place, so we decided to try it. The food is AMAZING! I had a steak burrito which was too much food, and I likely ate too much because it was just so good. Husband had an al pastor machete, and he said was also very good. Sister had the mushroom machete and was very pleasantly surprised. The chips are some of the best I have tasted and the freshly made guacamole was also a hit. (We ordered for ick up, so no comment on ambiance and such)

This place is AMAZING! I've tried different things- al pastor huarache, birria tacos, Al pastor tacos, rice, beans. Their salsas are incredible, perfect amount of spice. The green one is my favorite. Their consomé is so flavorful. And it's always fresh. I highly recommend!

Stopped by here to pick up some tacos tonight. I needed some flavor after I got a bland meal elsewhere. I got one arabe, one al pastor, and one lengua. All three were absolutely fantastic. I will be back for a torta and a machete as soon as possible.

The Al Pastor and Arabe tacos here are really good. The quesadilla is really good also. I can't wait to try some of their other menu items!

Wowowowow yummy yummy birria tacos!!! And their selection of sauces is great. Some actual spicy options! Can't wait to go back soon.

This place is one of those that isn't super fancy, but BIG on flavor. Just visiting the Denver area for work and found this place because i was starving. I went for lunch and got thr tacos al pastor. A-MAZING!!!! Went back later in the day with my daughter (who is not the biggest fan of Mexican) and she LOVED it! We're planning on going back tomorrow before we head out of town!!

Best Al Pastor tacos in Denver. Amazing flavor. There is a spit (trumpo) and serve with onions, cilantro and pineapple.

Everything is excellent and completely authentic. Try the zucchini blossoms machete, aqua fresca, jamaica or any of the tacos. Salsas are unique and great.
