Just an awesome theater that more people should take advantage of. The people working there are extremely friendly and very helpful. The ability to order Mad Mac's right from the concession counter and then enjoy the meal while you watch your movie is top-tier delicious comfort. Highly recommend over the other movie theaters around here.

Google
My dad is friends with the guy who owns the place! I watched The surfer here it was a very enjoyable experience! Only complaint I have is that I wish the food was better. Great Theater. Definitely Recommend

Google
A delightful neighborhood theater with smaller screens in more intimate spaces. This is a fantastic option if you love the movies, but hate crowds. They show everything the big box theaters do. Also, on Tuesdays, tickets are $5. All the regular movie snack options are available, but they also serve real hearty food from the restaurant next door specializing in loaded Mac and cheese and loaded baked potatoes. And yes, you can get a potato covered in Mac and cheese! They have a soda fountain, but also beer, wine, a couple slushy machines with frozen cocktails, and several alcohol free iced infusions of tea and fruit.

Google
What a fun experience! Located right downtown in a busy area. Has all the concessions of a larger theater with comparable prices. The smaller rooms were nice and actually had a large screen that led to a great movie experience. Friendly staff and beautifully clean! The ONLY bummer was having to pay for parking.

Claire Johnson

Google
Our first time going to this theater and it was great! Friendly staff, good popcorn and drinks and fun to support local. Will be back!

Google
WE LOVE THE METRO! Thank you metro for being the best theatre. Inviting, kind, and always screening cool stuff! I have loved seeing movies here while attending UO, and I will miss it so much after I graduate. Their private screenings are a great deal and I totally recommend it! One of my best memories was seeing Bones & All during thanksgiving break with my whole family - it was the weirdest thing but so funny. Thanks for the good memories!

Google
If you want to go to the movies, check out this place and support local. Multiple and small theaters. Staff is really nice. And even some cool things to look at before the movie. Sometimes it can be cool in the theater, so dress in layers.

Google
Best movie theater in Eugene, hands down. Lovely staff, the slushee cocktails and the nutritional yeast popcorn are fantastic.

Yelp
The outside looks like the entrance of a Parisian Metro station, but Broadway Metro (on Williamette) is actually the coolest film theater in Eugene! Great vintage film decor - including a ceiling made of old film reels. Fabulous collection of film posters. Don't miss Secret Mall Apartment if it's still up - hard to categorize but fascinating little documentary. It played in one of the smaller theaters - great sight lines and not a bad seat in the house. Intimate viewing experience!

Yelp
Excellent films. Tickets reasonable. Popcorn and drinks are good. Parking at city parking one block away.

Yelp
I should start by saying I am not a big movie goer. This theater is full of winding hallways and small rooms for movie viewing. Rooms are small so if you don't like being close to the screen, get a seat in back if available Things I liked: -Connection to nearby my Mad Macs means you can actually get real food -Kombocha and other drinks available -Not having to climb stairs to use a bathroom -Good service Things I didn't like: -The buttered popcorn was too salty and general mediocre -Having to park at the Overpark a few blocks away due to only 2 hour parking available on the street and movie longer than 2 hours.

Orion R.

Yelp
I love this movie theater! I've gone here for years and the service is really good, amazing food and drinks, clean theaters and comfortable seats.

Yelp
How have I not reviewed this place yet. To date my partner and I have seen about 400 movies at the Metro (and Arthouse). I cannot express how much we love this place. Good popcorn, good drinks, best gummy worms around. The only things I miss are the pre-Covid deviled eggs they offered and the bulk Reese's Pieces and Raisinets you could get at the candy counter and mix to make a delicious PB&J kinda candy concoction. All praises to the Metro!

Yelp
Higher cost than most theaters. Everything was old and dirty in most areas some would call charming but not for the price of tickets and concessions ! Another downside you have to deal with rich people that think because they drive a Prius they can tell you where to sit and when to be quiet ... no thanks

Yelp
I already have given Broadway Metro a 5 star review but I wanted to leave another one as this is my favorite theatre in town to see new movies. This past weekend, my husband and I completed the 'Barbinheimer' double feature at the Metro and the entire process what smooth sailing. I ordered our tickets a week in advance directly through the Metro's website. Very easy and convenient. As the weekend approached, I got an email from them saying that they relocated 'Oppenheimer' to the bigger theatre and relocated our seats to an area of the theatre that were comparable to the ones I previously picked out. We saw both movies and the entire process went seamlessly. I try to support this small, locally owned movie theatre as much as possible over the bigger national chains.

Yelp
I love this theatre! It is so cute and employees are very friendly. It has a vintage old timely feel to it. They offer a variety of concessions and snacks including candy, popcorn, pizza, beer, kombucha, and more. Tickets are pretty reasonable. The student rate is 9$. As a college student I come here all the time as it is close to campus and just a good movie theatre experience. Definitely check out broadway metro when the next time you wanna see a good movie!

Yelp
I really like this place, but I can't love it due to a few things: Always out of food, other than popcorn... Staff are grumpy and usually pretty unpleasant. Tips: Get food first and make sure you limit your counter service interaction. Otherwise, this place is so great with their movie selection and the newer movie seats in some rooms.

Star B.

Yelp
Fun theatre! Attached to a Mac and cheese place or has some other options like quesadillas for food. Delicious!!

Susie G.

Yelp
Went for a private birthday party. First time for many in our group. The food and drinks are quite reasonably priced. Service was good. It was a fun time and we plan on going back. People - please support this awesome business. It's a great place for movies and parties !
google avatar

Shane R.

Yelp
Great spot for all kinds of movies- mainstream, art, private showings, etc. rented a theater for a private screening of my daughter's favorite movie with a group of 12 friends for her birthday. Awesome concessions and employees.
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
I finally went to the Broadway Metro! What the heck took me so long? I came in for a private screening for a friend's birthday and was pleased to find their commitment to reusable cups and jars for your candy. We ordered a small popcorn which was your basic movie theater popcorn, some chocolate covered peanut clusters and a refreshing chamomile strawberry iced team (yum!). I loved that they had non-alcoholic options other than soda. They had some really delicious looking alcoholic slushies that I definitely want to try next time! We were in a smaller theater but the seats were surprisingly comfortable and we had a great time experiencing our own private theater rental. I will definitely keep this idea in mind for future events with friends.

Yelp
I love this theater so much! All movies here are amazing, but especially cult classics and art house films. From the selection of snacks and beverages (I always have a glass of wine), to the ambience, the array of events any movie buff would find titillating, even the maze you have to go through to find your screen sometimes, I enjoy the experience 100% of the time. The staff isn't a bunch of disenchanted teenagers shoveling popcorn, they love the movies as much as we do and we don't have to try to get a conversation started, they'll chat your ear off with enthusiasm about all things movie. This is where I want to be for the telling of certain cinematic stories. The screens are smaller in more intimate rooms that are clean and climate controlled and the seats are delightful. I can even get away with sitting in the front row comfortably. Get your tickets early, shows sometimes sell out, this is a well loved institution.
google avatar

Mishka L.

Yelp
Cool little art house cinemas. Went her to see Poor Things on a birthday night out. It's a charming space, with a good selection of snacks and beer and wine. Far more civilized than the multiplexes.
google avatar

Cindi L.

Yelp
Six months later, everything I wrote earlier still applies. Great selection of movies, friendly staff, comfortable seats, excellent sound and picture clarity. Love this theater.
google avatar

Ingrid H.

Yelp
What a cool independent movie theater. So glad I came across this theater on Yelp. I would much rather support a small theater like this instead of the larger corporate theaters. Anyhow, buying our tickets was pretty simple using the app. Once we got there, we were admitted pretty quickly. Then we grabbed some snacks. If you're going to order popcorn, you have to try buttered popcorn with the garlic Parmesan. It was sooo freaking good. Our overall experience was fantastic. Wish we had a theater like this in our hometown.
google avatar

Judith M.

Yelp
Now bigger better with extended showings! This was already our favorite popcorn in town, now it may be winning the best selection award as well. The only thing wrong with this location is the dearth of parking & now v with all the bathroom options you need! Yes, they have extended the bathroom situation along with the new screens. OK, maybe occasionally a surly young counter person with attitude, but generally staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. It's wonderful to live in a small city that has such extensive movie options. Deeply appreciated.

Yelp
The Broadway Metro on Willamette at Broadway is a great big city theater with small screenings. Currently I saw "The Quiet Girl," or on Irish like the movie, "An Cailin Cuilin" The 6:45 pm late showing was manageable. It isn't playing anywhere else despite a nomination for Oscar for best foreign film. The.child actor, herself, is winsome and utterly transparent. The story unveils itself in a vivid County cork setting on a small dairy farm. The movie is based on the short story, "Foster" which ran in the Feb 15, 2010 New Yorker Mag. Oh and ask for the nutrional yeast topping on fresh popped.popcorn. alcohol available

Yelp
First time at Broadway Metro and we loved it! The film reel decorated ceiling and the red Kill Bill wallpaper was super cute and definitely gives it a nicer aesthetic than your average mall movie theater. The staff was very friendly and they have a nice selection of concession items you don't typically see at other theaters. The housemade lemonade was absolutely delicious and our popcorn was perfectly buttery. I will definitely need to try their slushie cocktails and iced tea infusions in the future since they looked so good! I hadn't expected the theater to be as large as it was or for the seats to be as comfortable as they were, so that was a pleasant surprise. I will say, however, that parking might be a tad difficult here since it is downtown. As far as we could tell, everything was either metered or pay to park.

Yelp
This is a really wonderful local theater that is worth giving a shot if you haven't already! I went to my first movie here recently and I was really impressed with all of the small touches that makes this feel like a very intimate and personal experience. The staff themselves are really wonderful, and helpful with any questions. The theaters themselves are intimate but not too small. I'd suspect if I picked the first few rows I'd feel a bit too close for my personal comfort. Though, once settled with your snacks and drinks it has all the cozy feelings of being in front of your rich friend's projector TV when you were a little kid for the latest movie during a sleepover but as an adult. The menu is fantastic: The popcorn is very fresh with real butter (and it's all throughout the entire container, delicious!). There's a wide variety of drinks from hand crafted non alcoholic, regular sodas, wines and alcoholic slushies; the last of which I really enjoyed. There's also a nice variety of candy. Everything besides the popcorn is served in sustainable containers such as glass jars and plastic cups and come with-- I believe but I could be wrong-- high quality paper straws not the kind that melt in your drink in just a few minutes. It's the kind of attention to detail that shows they're not just marketing to Eugene but living by the community values. If you've been putting off going to the movies because of the pandemic, they also check vaccine cards at the door, and have assigned seating with spacing between seats, so buy your tickets early. It's worth noting that their bathrooms are down the stairs, so you may need to ask the staff if you're unable to navigate them for further assistance or plan ahead. All and all a perfect addition to downtown.

Lisa B.

Yelp
Clean theatre and sustainable packaging for snacks and drinks, no waste! Comfortable seating, good audio and clear screens. Adore this theatre so much! Love the affogato!

Yelp
Awesome theater! My favorite in Eugene so far. My husband and I visited for the first time last weekend by way of Groupon deal which included two popcorns and two drinks. I love the options of popcorn toppings: *real organic butter* *nutritional yeast* *garlic parmesan* *white cheddar*. Next time, I'll probably try an ice cream bar! After reading some reviews before going, we arrived early to our movie and had no issues with seats, but theaters are small so definitely do plan ahead.
google avatar

Yelp
This is literally my FAVORITE movie theater of anywhere we go. It was hard to beat independent theaters in LA but this theater has unique, amazing films while providing a relaxed yet state of the art experience. The prices are great and the popcorn is the best in town. I suggest that you stop by this theater before going anywhere else in Oregon when looking for top rated independent films. The staff are friendly, the food is amazing and the experience from almost every angle is breath taking, from a first date, to your 20th anniversary, this is the spot to go. It's even a girls night out or a family gathering, this theater has something for everyone in a safe positive environment.

Yelp
Popcorn with Nutritional Yeast. And Movies in DWNTWNEUG Beer Cider Wine Intimate Theaters. Tip: get there early for best seats or just go in the middle of the day like me!

Paul R.

Yelp
Best theater in Eugene, awesome variety and very nice theaters. A lot of choices for food and the employees are great. Highly recommend
google avatar

C G.

Yelp
Totally cool place! Staff is great, the beer choices are stellar and the movie theaters are so damn cute! We were the only two people in a theater that only seated about 15-20 people (Pre-Covid) It's wonderful to have a movie theater that is not your chain theater..

Amanda M.

Yelp
All inclusive environment. They accept proof of positive antibodies against CV, a V card or a negative test.. even a home one. Very accommodating to all of our community!!! Nice that all are welcome. Popcorn is amazing, seats are comfy and there is room to get to your seat without making someone stand up! Wall paper is amazing in the hallways. Super nice experience and kind people. Movies are !! Highly recommend this venue.

Yelp
This little theater knows how to pick films for screening. If you're looking for a carefully curated selection of indie, international, and lesser known films, look no further. I believe there are 5 theaters, each of them maybe 6 rows deep so they are each very cozy with large screens and new, comfortable seats that recline ever so slightly. Seats are chosen when purchasing tickets and can be selected in advance, which I recommend. I personally find row C to be the closest I can handle without feeling like my eyes are scanning all over the place like Alex in A Clockwork Orange. The theater also has this neat offering where you can rent out the whole room or space for private screenings of a film of your choice (as long as they can get the rights to exhibit the film). This is definitely my go to theater in Eugene!
google avatar

Thomas N.

Yelp
First class operation located right in downtown Eugene.Grear choice of movies and friendly employees.Good beer selection as well.I went 4 times on a recent weekend visit from Portland.Look forward to my next visit.
google avatar

Wil P.

Yelp
It's great. I'm a regular. Good films, good popcorn, good beer, good staff, good seats. Some of the theaters are quite small, so often best to plan ahead, particularly with COVID. Sometimes a film will show at one time early in a week and then not be around or not be available at that time later in the same week. The website and phone app are not user friendly at all. But this is the last remaining indy movie house in Eugene. They expanded and remodeled just before COVID hit. This place is a resource for the community.

Jazmin G.

Yelp
Cutest little theater I've ever been too. Try the popcorn with organic butter so good!
google avatar

Aaron C.

Yelp
Rented the theater for a family night. Amazing deal. We were treated well and snacks were included! Felt very taken care of.

Paula L.

Yelp
Absolutely my favorite place in this city. The employees work hard to make it an enjoyable time!

David O.

Yelp
During Covid they were renting out the theatre for showings it was a perfect family outing . Idk if they are still doing it but it was great
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
The most comfortable theaters in Eugene. The intimate and comfortable setting makes a night at the movies special.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
Movies, beer, and food. What's not to love. They have a good selection of independent films along with an occasional Hollywood film. People are friendly. Atmosphere is relaxed. I got to experience there new theaters last night and was impressed. Good use of space without being too much like every other multiplex.

Cat P.

Yelp
This place is seriously so awesome. I love this little theater!! I'm currently sitting here right now while waiting for my movie to start. I love how small and cozy it is. They also have extremely reasonably priced snacks with generous servings! I ordered a medium popcorn for the price of a bottle of water at normal movie theaters (roughly $5). They also offer some great popcorn toppers like nutritional yeast (for all you vegans out there), real organic butter, garlic parm, etc. I also love how they offer tea, coffee, and other adult beverages. I definitely will be back.
google avatar

Jacob L.

Yelp
Best movie theater in town. Competitive price. Spacious and comfortable seating. excellent popcorn and drinks & snack choices are unique. Do yourself a favor and watch your movies here, stay away from the big theaters.
google avatar

Lobelia T.

Yelp
This is a lovely place to see foreign and independent films, in downtown Eugene. It's nextdoor to Townsend's Tea, a big plus. Last time I was in a surprisingly small auditorium, but the sound and view were excellent (from the back row).
google avatar

Julie W.

Yelp
I love this place. The staff is friendly, the concessions are reasonably priced, and the movies are really good. I've been four times in the last month.

Michelle R.

Yelp
I was able to rent a theater for a staff appreciation event for my business. They have beautifully remodeled the theater's with comfy seats, it just looks great in there. They also have a full liquor license, so I could treat my staff to beer, wine and their mixed drinks. They were great to work with and everyone had a great time. Highly recommend getting a group together and supporting this great local business. They have large theater's so you can easily social distance groups within your party.

Deborah B.

Yelp
We rented a theater to watch a movie with friends and it was the MOST FUN I've had in months. Very clean, super-friendly staff, and well organized system to get people in the door at staggered times. I'm so excited for movies to come back again post-COVID, and hope this experience isn't going to spoil us too much!
google avatar

Yelp
I generally dislike movie theaters (think dirty cloth seats, greasy popcorn residue, the collective smell of a hundred other movie-goers sweating through a two hour film, plus no blankets to curl up in... this is a losing situation) but find the Bijou Metro to be the exception. Aside from featuring great independent films, reruns of old classics, and eclectic series/festivals, it's also super cozy and clean, with rooms that seat no more than ~50 people at once. Other perks: It's located in the middle of downtown Eugene, right across from Kesey Square, so you can get dinner beforehand, or ice cream at Red Wagon/tea at Townshend afterward = the perfect casual date. :) And then there's the ultimate draw: The concession stand! Bijou Metro offers a variety of snacks you'll enjoy without regretting later: A selection of local beers, quality loose leaf teas, popcorn with nutritional yeast, Noisette pastries, frozen Junior Mints (yay!), kombucha on tap, and Euphoria chocolates. The only thing is... I hear there used to be a resident cat at the Bijou... and I think it's a loss that there is no cat to occupy the theater's seats now. A new cat would greatly enhance the atmosphere of the theater and draw in business. Something to think about, owners. ;)
google avatar

Heather D.

Yelp
Totally didn't know what to expect. Little funky theater that serves beer, popcorn and Tom's Organic Nuts (or something like that). I went to theater 2 and counted 16 comfy chairs. I have never been to a film in such a small space outside of my own living room and the experience was super intimate and enjoyable!
google avatar

Mark A.

Yelp
In a small city like Eugene, you get some amenities like big cities, but as often as not there are compromises you must make. An art movie theater is one of those little niceties you don't think about until there isn't one, and you're stuck fighting the mall crowds for seats at the latest mass-market dreck. Fortunately Eugene has the Bijou, but the main location is itself a compromise, a converted church inelegantly showing its seams. The new Metro location aims to rectify that situation, but it's stuck with compromises of its own. The location is prime, right in the thick of downtown near Kesey Square. It's in a brand new building surrounded with restaurants and bars, so it's easy to make a whole evening of it. The concession stand is loaded with grown-up goodies to match the grown-up movies being shown. Four theaters are there, running 6-10 movies in a given week. To make economic sense, however, the theaters are tiny, not much bigger than the average millionaire's TV room. If you have to drive parking isn't very convenient. The panhandlers who hang out in the area bother some people, but I've never had a problem. A mixed bag of a review here, because it's not a very movie-like experience. Still I appreciate that it's there, because I wouldn't get to see these films otherwise.
google avatar

Zonne B.

Yelp
What a lovely theatre. Great films and wonderful staff. Clean, nice seats. Compact. Good food and drink selection. Prefer watching films here rather than being creeped out in a converted funeral home :-(

Tanner L.

Yelp
My wife and I would come here nearly every weekend before Covid, and I miss it so much! The concessions, the customers service and the atmosphere all make this place an excellent local threat.
google avatar

Emma P.

Yelp
Great variety in concessions, amazing popcorn and awesome independent movies! The concessions are delicious, the theaters are nice and cozy and the films they show are unique and very entertaining. Absolutely would recommend.
