Had a great time here. The portions are big, filling and the price is just right. Our server was Kelly and she was very helpful, friendly and made sure our food arrived fast. Would come back here again for lunch.

Always great food at reasonable prices. Teriyaki Salmon and rice bowl was good. The Italian beef sandwich was really a good size and very good. Wait staff is always very welcoming

Nice place. My waitress, Cathy, was very delightful. I ordered the special that was a shrimp platter. I loved the french fries. Everything was great. Service was excellent. Staff members were all very nice and friendly. Definitely worth a visit, no disappointments.

This was actually a very good experience! We all got different things and got to try each other's food. The atmosphere, service, and food were great! Cloey was our waitress and she was very helpful and professional. We actually planto go more often after church!

First time eating at Metro and it was awesome! We did not have a long wait for two of us on a game day. Dawn was our server and did an excellent job. She asked us good questions to make sure our food came the way we wanted it. She always made sure my mug was full of coffee. All staff were kind and the food was delicious. Very pleased with our experience.

Family group of 8. Called ahead seating worked great for a ND game weekend. Baileah was our server and did a wonderful job. She was very attentive, polite and kind. We love the atmosphere! You can tell as soon as you open the door that it is a great place by the sounds of laughter and chatter.

I can’t say enough good things about this diner. I do locum work in town 1-2 times a month and I make sure I get to stop at least once every time. The food is DELICIOUS, the staff are always SO friendly and I’m usually on a time crunch and I’ve yet to wait more than 15-20 minutes from the time I sit down to the time there is food in front of me, even when every seat in the house is taken. 20/10 would recommend!

The food was very good, the environment was nice, and our waitress Baileah was excellent. She had a fun personality, and conducted herself professionally. She was friendly and efficient. I would happily dine there again

I used to like this diner more than I do now. I had the steak tips. Some of them were chewy. The taste of my meal was good, but it didn't sit well with me shortly after I left. The most surprising part of my visit was when I paid for my meal. I used cash, but I didn't receive the full amount in change. I brought this up to the server, and I was told that they don't include coins as part of change. I have never encountered this at any restaurant before. I did end up receiving the remainder of my change shortly thereafter. This soured my experience for this visit.

Always a plus when they have a GF menu! Our waitress was amazing. I had the veggie omlet.

Half of our party had Eggs Benedict and that was very good. One person had steak and eggs and commented that they didn't ask how to cook them. The meat came all cut up in chunks and was burnt and seasoned poorly. Another in our party had a cheeseburger and could eat more than a bite. The cheese was rubbery and the meat was overcooked and too chewy. It seemed to be the quality of the ingredients rather than cooking and issues. We will pass on going here in the future!

Stopped by here along a road trip, it was really worth trying out! Never had chicken and waffles before so I thought this would be the perfect place to check out. The chicken was the perfect kind of crisp and seasoned deliciously! It went really well with the powdered sugar waffles and maple syrup.

This is hands down the best diner in the area for breakfast. Its FAST too. Others in the area I feel like I spend my entire morning there..

Chicken pot pie and an apple cobbler were my choices. Wanted something of comfort and not too spiced. Did not disappoint. Chicken pot pie had good balance of meat and veggies. Crust was hearty and delicious. Took the apple pie as take out for dessert at home. Super delicious. Portions were so generous that in all I had three meals of these two dishes.

Food was very excellent. Fast service. Tasty dinner: we had the shrimp and grits, fried chicken and waffles. Easy on the wallet. Music is rocking and so is the menu.

A local spot for locals. Small menu but food was good. Service was good and food was quick. Have a good line cook and short order grill. Quite a few vets in here so must be doing something right. Pretty casual spot. All in all a good spot to eat. Always busy but always have a table. 3 for food 4 for restaurant. 4 for service.

Waffle smelling heaven! Good lunch and breakfast food without much of a wait. If you haven't tried it....just go.

Stay away from the afternoons! placed an online order for a dinner which stated what came WITH the meat, did not state that it was just a suggestion. Then the website states you need to pick two sides, which we did, not having a clue that the description meant nothing. The biggest mistake was calling and asking about why this happened.....very rude and unpleasant. The morning crew is delightful and food is great.

I stopped here for a late lunch at 1:30 pm and I was seated right away and given a menu. My server came right over and took my drink order, and I also placed my order. I started with the cheese broccoli soup along with the Hot Turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, steamed green beans and cornbread stuffing. She brought me my soup right away and it was very cheesy. I like cheese, but this was almost too much. It was also very thick, so closer to a dip than a soup. The Turkey was sitting on top of the stuffing with the mashed potatoes, Turkey and stuffing covered in brown gravy. The gravy had a different smell to it, it didn't smell bad, but it seemed off a bit. When I tried it, everything tasted just fine. The turkey seemed to be hand cut. There was a large piece of fat along one edge of a piece of Turkey. Outside of that, it was an OK meal.

Chocolate pancakes wer delicious. O got it with a side of bacon it was great. When I wa cutting it there was chocolate chunk in the middle! Very good definitely recommend to anybody with needs. Our waiter was very nice fantastic service. The Ambiance is giving cafe vibes verygood diner.

There's a server named, "Tiffany" super duper sweet like she's literally the cutest human ever made!!! I will literally just come back to only see her and to be served by her !! The food is always amazing and superb!!

Food and service is always good. You get a lot of food and one of the top breakfast spots in the Mishawaka area. Fan favorite of the biscuits and gravy and chicken and waffles.

We were greeted, seated, waitress was friendly and attentive. Terrific ribs, just right size for lunch.

I was wrong. The chicken and waffles provided the perfect bite of sweet, salty, and a slight spice. The service was very friendly and super fast. I can't wait to go back!

I had the southwest skillet.It was very good, if they offered a chorizo option it would be the best ever.

To be fair I only ever order carry out, but without fail they ruin my order every. single. time. LITERALLY, EVERY SINGLE TIME. Their cooks do not care whatsoever. The quality of their food is all microwave chain food anyway, not fresh ingredients. Their drinks especially their juices are disgusting pasteurized chemical concoctions. You're better off at iHop or Denny's to be frank.

Where the locals eat. I think they were all there when we visited. The place and parking lot were packed. There was a short wait but I enjoyed talking with the regulars. I asked what their favorite dish was. Chicken and waffles, Meatloaf and everything was the response. Taking that into account, once we were seated we were promptly waited on. We put in our drink order and received them instantly. Impressive. My wife loves meatloaf so she ordered that. I ordered the chicken and waffles. We had our food in under five minutes. Hot and steamy. The waitresses suggested their sweet spicy sauce which I tried. It is tobasco and syrup. Strange, but intriguing. It is one half fried chicken and a giant waffle. Utilizing my hands to dip the chicken in the sauce was a sticky situation. My suggestion is to provide hand wipes with the dish. Paper napkins tend to stick to your fingers. A trip to the restroom is a necessity to wash your hands. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her meatloaf and mashed potatoes. I ate her greenbeans. Which were fresh and crunchy. The service staff were amazing at turning tables. Efficient. The restaurant was clean and classic diner experience. I am a counter creature so we were disappointed that there were only 4 seats at the counter. This is a great breakfast, lunch and dinner place. Hey, Guy Fieri recommends it and so do I. We stopped here while crossing Indiana, it isn't far off the toll road. We chose this place since it was breakfast and were really happy with everything. It had specials on pancakes, and unique combos for the season. The entire place was clean and well ran. The food came out quickly and to order. I asked for a few unique things and everything was as it should be. Their veggie omelette was puffy and loaded with clean, good vegetables and all with good flavor. Speaking of fast, we had the best waitress named Kate. She was lightening fast on how she inputted the order into the computer! Ask for her, she is very good.

Had a late breakfast at the metro diner. The fried chicken was delicious! Hot, crispy! The rest of the food was standard egg breakfast, exactly what I was looking. The only drawback back was the service. Our server seemed disappointed and was unable to provide the basic service to the table. We will back, hopefully .

My wife and I with our daughter were in town for a volleyball tournament. Looking for a local diner to take Mom out for a Mother's Day breakfast. I came across this restaurant w/ a 4 star rating. The pics of the menu items looked great and especially the protein breakfast platter that was perfect for my carnivore diet. Which was delicious and my wife asked for a side of avocado for her Keto needs. The avocado toast was a hit for our young athlete w/ a side of bacon which was crispy and plentiful. The waitress was so gracious and friendly as well as the hostess. There were plenty of tables yet you don't feel crowded amongst the other diners. You can also join the waitlist on their website to jump the line which I did but really didn't need to use it, we sat as soon as we entered. We will be back next year and make it a tradition for our VB travels. Oh yes, one more thing to add, the staff was handing out flowers to moms as they walked in the door, and our daughter got one as we walked out. What a wonderful experience! Thank you Metro Diner

Just get the chicken and waffles. It's all good but chicken and waffles is where it's at. Friendly staff. Clean atmosphere.

Staff is Unfriendly and unwilling to do their job. Sat us in seats that couldn't accommodate our party size due to our children needing high chairs. unable to move us but unable to sit in the seats we were sat in. Hostess was nasty with us, waitress was nasty about the seats we were sat in. Sat and waited for the manager to come out to resolve it. Left after 10 mins of waiting

First time here ....LOOOOVE IT !!! The atmosphere, employees, pricing, food ALL OF IT !!! Beyond my expectations. Food was great. Simple to the point. Some of the food is next level feel with the ingredients. Can't wait to come back. Gonna try the fish and chips and the chicken strips and season fries.

Great food and great service! Seating can feel cramped in much of the restaurant during busier times, but it's worth it!

We have eaten here several times over the past few years with usually good results. Most of the staff were always friendly & the kitchen always had a quick turn around pre-covid. Today, post-covid concerns we went out to try the Metro again. Very very disappointed. We asked to be seated in the back @ a table & was told none available when we could clearly see empty tables in the back. Secondly they sat us in the first table directly across from the kitchen so you had all the noise of the kitchen plus the constant flow of the wait staff going beside us & behind us & my cane kept getting knocked down by the other patrons going to their table. As you can see by the picture my Philly sandwich was mostly bread & green peppers & very very little beef. "where's the beef!" When I asked the server where the au jus was I was told they don't have any, seriously! I also ordered the mac n cheese instead of the fries & it tasted a lot like the Bob Evans I buy @ any of the local grocery stores, nothing special. I have included a copy of the ticket from our visit so you can see the money invested for the product we received. Over $30.00+ for lunch for 2 people plus the tip is ridiculous. Plus the staff looks irritated now compared to pre-covid, no one asked us how our food or dining experience was. My sandwich sat in the window for 10 minutes before my nephews meal came out, the bread was dried out & so was the beef, thus why you serve au jus with a Philly. If your looking for a good Philly sandwich I would avoid this item on the Metro Diner menu, you'll be glad you did.

OMG!!! Got the chicken & waffles. First time trying this combination. I really didn't expect the WOW factor. The spicy syrup, the STRAWBERRY BUTTER & some of the best fried chicken I ever had. Amazing! My friend ordered the shrimp & grits I've had s&g before, but never like this. The grits were fried in a wonderful sea of gravy & shrimps OMG! & had a decent amount of tasty shrimps. Can't wait to return. People are great & ambiance was great. The best bang for your buck anyday!

There was a really bad sewer smell the morning I went there. I should have walked out. The food was fast and good. The server was efficient but not very friendly. Definitely no small talk. Probably closer to an overall 2.

Visited the Mishawaka, IN area recently and went to Metro Diner for breakfast. The place was pretty busy, which is a good sign. In spite of it's 'busyness', our server greeted us quickly. She was super nice. Ordered the usual breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns...all great. The best thing was the toast! It was a multigrain of some sort and it was delicious!! Returned a few days later for lunch, and again, busy. Server was great and attentive. My sister and I ordered a BLT to share and a cup of soup each. Meal was really good and fresh. They served our 1/2 of the sandwich on our own plate with half the fries (that were piping hot) without us asking. That does not happen often. Definitely visit this place!

Typical diner food. We had a great server though. Her name was Dawn I believe. I tried the fried chicken Benedict which was decent and a mimosa. My total was just under $20. My friends had a salad of some sort, some overly seasoned fries which I'd skip next time and a plate of eggs breakfast. It has an old school feel and is busy! I've had better hash brown at other joints, maybe it's the oil they use here that I'm indifferent to ? I'd Come back if I'm in the area! They have a pumpkin pancake special going on which I need to try!

Saturday morning visit. Nice upbeat atmosphere. Service was good and the food was yummy. It smells really good in here for breakfast time. We picked two dishes and shared: 1st dish was the chicken & biscuit with choice of side (we picked crispy hashbrowns - they did a good job getting them crispy but not dry or greasy ) & they let us sub out the spicy honey for delicious country sausage gravy. 2nd dish was a half order of chicken & waffle (choice of 2 crispy tenders or bone in chicken, we chose tenders - so good) Also served with spicy honey, maple syrup and strawberry butter - all tasty) We ordered a side of link sausages (yum) and my husband had coffee while I drank water. Everything was good - best breakfast in the area that we have had in a few years. We will be coming back with more family soon to try a few more menu items.

Great location in Granger- came here Saturday morning and only had ~5 minute wait. There is free coffee while you wait as well. Our server was nice and our food came out hot, fresh, and quick. I was under-impressed with the hashbrowns- they were browned/ crispy on the outside but inside extremely gooey- I asked for them to be recooked longer which did get some more crispy ones on that outside but still undercooked/soft on inside and very oily. I feel like they needed to not just flip the hashbrowns but also get more of the inside ones on the grill. Besides that, the crab cake benedict was very good. Easy to share as well. I also enjoyed the $2.99 mimosas- can't beat that! There were some really delicious lunch options that I would want to come back and try, but lunch isn't served until 3:00 pm.

***Update*** Checked in again with my friends this Sunday! Still really awesome food and service! Love the Benedict more than omelette! -- Finally checked out this local favorite restaurant. My first impression of it was "CROWDED". I went there on a Sunday morning at around 11am and I almost waited for 40 minutes to get a seat. I asked the waiter and he said it was always crowded (not because football weekend). So prepare yourself enough time if you wanna eat here. Other than this, the waiter was nice and helpful. The food was excellent! I really liked the omelette, and hash brown was just amazing (maybe one of the best I've had). The items on the menu all looked great. I will probably come back again even though I might be waiting for long.

When out of town I look for diners and cafes for breakfast. Nothing better than homemade food. I saw this place on Yelp and there were almost 200 reviews with a high rating. I'm now confused after eating there. The best thing was the staff and speed of in and out service. The problem was the food. I've a attached a pic of the chicken strip Benedict with the (what I assume are precooked and reheated) poached egg removed. That's just chicken from a bag microwaved to perfection. What a let down. Again for what it was not horrible...expensive for processed reheated food I could throw together at home. Maybe the rest of the menu is great but I missed the mark with my order.

I just recently found the Metro Diner and it was fantastic! There is a great variety of food and all I have had was so delicious!! Service was awesome and the ambiance was right up there as well!

I mean, come on, this place is surprisingly good. It's the middle of June and the place is packed, I think I saw one mask in the whole place, but we're back open again, I guess. I have had the cinnamon pancakes and they're particularly good because they come with cream cheese icing. You get a good amount, so don't let your eyes get bigger than your stomach. The benedicts are very good too, if you like benedicts, this is a good choice. Service is good, though it can be slower when they're busy. It didn't happen this past time, but it has happened in the past. We've always got what we ordered and it was cooked the way we asked. Hands down, one of the best places to eat in Michiana.

First time did not disappoint. I stopped in for a mid morning breakfast with coffee and some time to get some office work completed. The staff is efficient and the place is clean. I had a basic breakfast platter. Bacon cooked to perfection. Potatoes are amazing and over easy eggs that spilled across the plate. Really great stuff. The menu is extensive and has a lot to offer. Will definitely return as my travels take me to the area.

First time there really enjoyed the chicken and waffles. I would highly recommend this place and the chicken was so fresh. It just came off the grease and the strawberry waffle was awesome!

We decided to grab takeout today at this delightful diner. I got the Metro Club with mashed potatoes (I don't care for gravy so I got some butter packets on the side) while my husband got a bacon cheeseburger with fries. The hubby started eating his food before I got a picture and his excuse was it was too good to wait for. He thought the fries would've been better fresh (we didn't eat the food right away) and admitted he would've devoured them had we sat down to eat rather than doing takeout. My club sandwich and potatoes were amazing. I really loved the use of red skin potatoes instead of the average everyday potatoes. My sandwich was huge, my pickle was crisp, and everything was just simply on point. I am very much excited to come back for breakfast. The fried chicken and waffles with strawberry butter looks absolutely amazing. I am truly pumped. Thanks for the amazing food Metro Diner.
