"Until Knife closes and reopens as something new in August, its burger will have a place on this map. The Ozersky is a classic, but it also offers the Beef Cheek; the Pimento, which comes with a healthy serving of pimento cheese; and the Magic, which is served on an English muffin (the last two are only available on the lunch menu). Burgers here are cheaper at lunch, running between $20 and $25, and $25 and $28 for dinner. The fries, which come with salsa verde, are practically irresistible. Despite chef John Tesar’s recent departure, the quality stands. The staff here have been making these burgers for a good long while. "Knife’s avocado fries are an outlier on this list, but they bear mentioning. Tempura-battered and lightly fried until the insides are impossibly creamy, they’re also served in a adorably kitschy deep-fryer basket. It’s like State Fair food, if State Fair food was actually good. As for potato fries, the ones here are pretty great and very unique: Extra thick-cut, crisp throughout, and covered in an addictive chimichurri-esque salsa verde." - Amy McCarthy
