Where to Eat Around Five Points

"Nearing a decade of service on the corner of 26th and Welton, Coffee at The Point is a haven among java lovers and the local community. Integrated within the historical district, the coffee shop hosts a number of events including book clubs and writer’s groups, while also functioning as a calm retreat to get some work done. A.M. warriors can energize with Coda Coffee and a selection of breakfast sammies. By afternoon, find hot and cold sandwiches, salads, local beers, and wine glasses." - Morgan Carter

Google
One of my favorite coffee shops in Denver! The drinks are really good, and the atmosphere is incredible. There’s plants EVERYWHERE, and plenty of seating whether you’re studying, hanging out with friends, or just enjoying a cup of coffee alone. Their espresso isn’t super bitter, and their specialty drinks are high quality tasting as well. The service here is also a solid 10/10

Google
A delicious mocha and exquisite latte art in a place with plenty of natural light with a wall of tall windows. Yes, please! There was one seat available when I arrived, but that was perfect for me. I highly recommend Metropolis. I also really like the Metropolis coffee shop on Broadway; so I was pretty excited when I noticed this was also Metropolis.

Tucked a block from the mayhem of Larimer, Metropolis Coffee is my quiet favorite when I want to slow down with something warm and well-crafted. The lattes are reliably smooth, and their maple cardamom latte? A total standout. The vibe is airy, vast and inviting, with just enough seats to feel cozy without being crammed.

i'm so happy i stopped by here during my trip! the barista was super friendly when i came in. the croissant is the perfect pastry to start the day. i also got an oat milk latte, and the way the barista frothed the milk made it taste as if i was drinking a latte with whole milk. the atmosphere in here is super cute! i adore the fact that the entrance is a ramp instead of stairs for accessibility reasons!

Husband and I have been trying small batch coffee shops all over the Denver Metro and wherever we travel. Today’s adventure was Metropolis Coffee. Generally we get vanilla lattes so we can compare fairly. Husband is currently enjoying his latte but I’m absolutely delighting in a delicious oat milk vanilla chai. Ohemgee it’s yum! Metropolis shares space with AVA apts 5 days/wk so it’s quite a large space. We got our cups to go because there was no room to sit but then we went and sat by the fireplace on the other side. It was quiet (except for the girl FaceTiming someone without headphones😂) and very peaceful. The shop is accessible and clean, including the restroom and the ladies at the counter were so friendly. We will definitely be back.

Coffee was very good and the interior was very beautiful - aesthetically pleasing. The milk in my cappuccino was a tad cold but flavor made up for slight coolness in drink. My husband ordered an americano and it was good & hot! They do serve some baked goods- keep in mind they do not have a source to heat up these items but the chocolate croissant was still tasty at room temp.

Google
My fave iced latte in all of Denver. Bold and smooth. I tried Roast over in Wash Park and it didn’t hold a candle to Metropolis. Plus, how can you not love sitting in a green suede wingback chair to sip and savor said latte and get some work done? Love it all the way around.

Google
This is an overdue review for a visit quite a while back so I hope the coffee shop has upped its game because I didn't have the best experience. The beautiful shop in the ground floor corner of a condo building is modern, slick with high-ceiling and really raised my expectation but my cappuccino was plainly bad.

Yelp
Great ambiance! The service was quick and expedient and the barista was very helpful. I ordered a vanilla Latte, with oat milk. The coffee had a great bold taste and the syrups are made in house. So, if that's something you appreciate I recommend!

Yelp
If you're looking for a spot to grab some delicious drinks and experience super nice ambiance in RiNo, Metropolis Coffee is your spot! The large windows and high ceilings make this the perfect coffee shop for wfh days when you need space and bright natural light. The plants and the decor make this place super warm and welcoming too. I also wanted to mention the seating. There were tons of outlets by the booths across the coffee bar area and they have large more enclosed tables for a little more privacy. Also definitely try the iced oat milk chai if you're looking for a coffee alternative, it was probably one of the best I've had in the city!

Yelp
Solid lattes here in this lowfi RiNo coffee shop on Lawrence, off of the greater activity on Larimer. Quiet shop when I stopped in. So service was great. The ambiance is very comfortable with great bench seating! See picture.

Yelp
Trendy with decent coffee Came here late morning for a little pick me up. Plenty of street parking and it is inside of an apartment complex, or connected to it. The barista was quick and friendly. Nothing to write home about but reliable coffee, beautiful plants, pastry options and many places to work or chit chat inside. 4/5

Yelp
Ahh, this coffeeshop is so cute!! I stopped by in between appointments to check it out and order a hot Brown Sugar Latte. It's located at the base of the new AVA RiNo apartment building complex. Glad I don't live here, or I'd come all the time! The coffee was pretty good. Seems to be a popular place for working remotely. Lots of chatty regulars. Tried the Wi-Fi to answer a few emails. Would definitely come back again to hang out.

Yelp
This location is new and I was impressed by the ambience and coffee. It is open and airy and good for sit down, studying reading, or just catching up with friends. The interior was modern, and stylish and service was friendly

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop with a modern, cute interior and lots of plants! I stopped here with friends to get quick coffee while walking around RiNo. I loved the vibe inside. They offer really yummy espresso drinks, coffee, iced tea, and a few snacks. There are dairy free milk options and I loved that the syrups are house made. I ordered an iced, oat milk latte with cinnamon brown sugar syrup. It hit the spot! Definitely check out this coffee shop for friend meet ups, a cool workspace, or pop in for a pick me up!

Yelp
My favorite latte in denver. South Broadway has so many coffee shops and they all have their strengths. But when I need my mood lifted with some espresso that just tastes good, this is where I go. Staff also always makes me feel like im an old friend they're happy to see.

Yelp
This delightful spot is bathed in natural light, creating a warm and invitingatmosphere that's hard to resist. There's are plenty of seating options so it's a great place to get work done. To top it off, the friendly staff are alwayson hand to make your experience even more enjoyable.

Yelp
I had an incredible experience working from Metropolis Coffee in RiNo today! This location was very spacious, with tons of natural light coming in to brighten up the very aesthetic coffee shop. I loved the decor, especially the plants! And there are outlets accessible from nearly every table. Onto the drinks and snacks - we tried the iced maple cardamom latte (heavier on the cardamom, in a unique and tasty way) and the dirty chai (recommended by our friendly barista and oh-so-good) and enjoyed them both! To eat, we ordered the cacio e pepe croissant and the everything bagel puff. I'd tried the croissant at another coffee shop, but the everything bagel puff was new to me and SO good! There was an interesting savory-sweetness to the Dijon mustard cream cheese. I'd order this again for sure!

Yelp
The coffee tasted so odd, and the coffee was just lukewarm. We had to leave and go to another place.

Yelp
Coffee place inside of my apartment building so I finally decided to check it out. I don't drink coffee so I went for a hot chocolate, and was not impressed at all. Not sure how you make bad hot chocolate but this place nailed it. Hopefully the coffee is better but I wouldn't get my hopes up. The barista at the registered didn't even acknowledge my presence, had to wait until the other guy noticed me and came to take me order. Give it a try, maybe the coffee is good, they're affording the rent somehow

Yelp
This is such a cool coffee shop! I ordered a Chai with oat milk and it was great! The atmosphere was very calm, and has plenty of natural lightning. The shop is attached to an apartment complex, but is easy to find from the street.

Yelp
Amazing cortado! Great staff and super cute Place! It's brand new so no reviews yet but will definitely be coming back!

Emma P.

Yelp
I got a vanilla iced latte with oat milk and vanilla. All I could taste was the burnt coffee flavor. The service was good but there was very little seating so I took mine to-go.

Yelp
If you want rock hard croissants and pastries that are several days old, look no further, this is the place for you!

Yelp
Great spot with plenty of space to hangout, work, etc. the black iced coffee was a bit too bitter for our liking but they have a lot of options!

Elliot A.

Yelp
Impossible to get a bad photo in this place. Certainly passes the (oh no the dreaded phrase) vibe check. Truly though, the service was wonderful, as was my iced mocha. They had a solid selection of pastries as well and truly SO many places to sit and enjoy your coffee and do some work if that's your thing. It's a little far from my place, about a 15 minute bike ride, but I'll be back soon. One of the most impressively designed coffee shops I've ever been in! Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Metropolis coffee is one of the main staples when it comes to quality coffee in Colorado. My judgement of a good barista is always based on a cappuccino and best judgement of coffee beans is typically the drip. With that being said my last few experiences with my cappuccino were great but not excellent. Either the shots that are being pulled aren't pulled correctly which gave the espresso a slight bitter bite. That or Herkimers beans were slightly a darker roast (I prefer my cappuccinos to be rich with hot chocolate notes for reference to my palate). Their pastries are always great as they get them from a local bakery. The only real complaint I have is that they only have cold brew on tap and not Nitro but this is a very small inconvenience for me personally. If your looking to be productive at this location it is very ideal as most of the clientele are working remotely or working on college projects silently while dialed in to their laptops. However, the apartment complex that is attached to the coffee shop at times will close off the extended area to their lobby making the inside cramped with little room during their popular hours. All in all, great spot and great coffee. Would recommend.

Yelp
Great coffee. Good pastries. Wonderful people. Serving up OG Seattle coffee roaster Herkimer and the owner is a Seattle guy which made the experience for me being a Sesttleite myself. Worthy go to cafe.

Yelp
Amazing everything- service, drinks, ambiance. These baristas know what they're doing, they made the best chai I've ever had. I only found this spot towards the end of my trip in Denver but wish I came here every morning!

Yelp
Located on northwest facing corner of a quiet shaded residential block, I found this gem randomly one morning. The space itself a plant lover's dream. The shop is a 2 story atrium with curtain windows the full height and breadth of the space, warmed by copious plants everywhere, and warm bleached natural wood accents. The space is both voluminous and cozy. There are ample USB and conventional plugs for devices, making the space ideal for work. The cafe seating outside stayed shaded and cool the full morning, which was great for enjoying the ambiance of the neighborhood of new build apartments. The baristas are friendly, skilled, and helpful. Coffee was great, but I'd drink tap water to be able to enjoy the space alone.

Yelp
Super beautiful shop, great staff, coffee ehh. Sorry, if you're looking for a super high quality espresso this isn't the place but everything else was perfect :/
