Metropolis Roof Garden

This is the place where we enjoyed a delicious dinner with a stunning view of the Parthenon and the city of Athens. Although the terrace was closed during our visit in December, it didn't affect the view at all. Thanks to what seemed like special glass, the Parthenon appeared magnified, as if it were right in front of us. The Greek salad we ordered was absolutely delicious - the cheese and dressing were exceptional. The steak was incredibly tender, melting in our mouths, and the sauce was excellent. The squid pasta was unbelievably tasty as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the dessert too. The service from the staff was flawless. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance.

This is a wonderful restaurant in Athens, offering breathtaking views of the Acropolis. Located on the 10th floor of the Electra Hotel, it provides a fantastic dining atmosphere. We booked our dinner online in advance, although we couldn’t select an outdoor table through the website. Luckily, arriving early allowed us to secure an outdoor table with an incredible view. We three enjoyed our meal a lot. Both the appetizers and main courses were delicious and expertly prepared. The food truly met our expectations. While the service was generally okay, though some staff seemed less friendly and not helpful. Nevertheless, the exceptional food and stunning scenery more than made up for it. Overall, we agreed this is a restaurant we would love to visit again.

This was definitely my top meal of 2025 so far! Everything was perfect from the service, to the view, to the fresh delicious food. Too often you must choose between a great view or good food, but this place has both. We ate her for lunch, which I recommend because as the sun sets they need to draw the shades as the sun hits the restaurant directly later in the day.

If you’re in Athens and you don't eat here, you'll regret it. At the very least have a drink on that balcony with that view at night. Every dish was fantastic, perfectly played and they paced the food so well.

The view is amazing. Unfortunately, I arrived late and the kitchen was already closed, but I had a plate of mixed cheeses, ham, and jam, which was lovely. The cocktails and wine were also very good. Service was excellent, and the prices were fair for the quality, service, and location.

The view takes it all!! It's amazing, our waitress was super kind though the hostess at the entrance and the manager seemed a little rough, but I guess it was understandable? My friends were taking a lot of pics even before we got our table. The drinks were very good as well.

TL;DR: an uneven meal experience that the staff went above and beyond to correct and turn into a great experience, and I would return. Overall the food was very good and the setting is incredible. Recommend. Firstly: the views are absolutely stunning as, atop the Electra Metropolis Hotel, you are high and reasonably close to the Acropolis with a nice three quarters view of the Parthenon and Erechtheion. They have inside and outside seating; it was 82F at 8pm so inside with AC was delightful. The meal experience: booked a sunset time table hoping for a nice golden hour into dark experience. With my 2 kids. Our server Henri was friendly and jovial, and offered kids/children menu items. The food courses came out poorly timed (entrees came while apps still on table) and a wrong entree was brought out. Our server and the manager did sort it all out and took some pointed feedback on one food item which was new and needed some reworking IMO. All staff were friendly and receptive and happy to make the experience as good as it could be given the missteps before. The desserts that followed were outstanding. I really appreciated that the staff and manager took the time and care to correct errors and put forth an excellent product in food and service.
