I've had some of the best sandwiches here. While the prices are a bit high, the ingredients are incredibly fresh and of high quality. You can choose from their signature sandwiches or create your own. However, the veggie samosa was disappointing and didn't seem fresh, so I'd recommend avoiding it. The service is fast.

Beautiful restaurant with old school vibe! The moment you walk in. you can feel the old school vibe, like being transported into history. Services are top notch, staff is very friendly and helpful. Obviously food is delicious and ambience is great. Everything we tried was top notch. Perfect place to celebrate any special occasion

Just arrived in Seattle. Check in to the hotel and ready for lunch. Just around the corner from our hotel. Not crowded and greeted with a smile. Simple seating inside and out. Just ordered 1/2 sandwich and soup. Looks simple but both sandwiches were amazing. Would have liked a little more substance in the soup but well flavored. Easy choice and fast.

Out-of-towners needing a quick bite for lunch and the Metropolitan Cafe was right next door to our hotel. It’s like a little market with fresh made to order sandwiches. Rueben and a French Dip hit the spot. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bonus points for the Hazy IPA! Seriously, it’s a solid choice.

I came in here to get dinner on my way home tonight and was ignored. The person who was working was hanging out at a table with some friends when I arrived and I stood at the register waiting for someone to notice me long enough to where I thought I'd grab some other things while I waited. Once the man was at the register, he got a phone call and was talking on the phone throughout the transaction. I asked him twice for a sandwich and he didn't even acknowledge my request because he was too involved in his phone call. I paid for my drink and left. As someone who used to purchase food here about 2-4 times a week for the past few years, I can say for certain that I will never be back simply based on how terrible of service I received.

I love coming here for breakfast! Their sandwiches are always delicious and the staff is very nice. The place is always clean and service is quick. They have a wide selection of drinks and snacks as well. Highly recommend coming here!

Employees were nice, but the woman left before making my sandwich, and didn't tell her coworker about it I'm late to work but he gave me extra bacon tho so that's cool ig. The deluxe breakfast sandwich is really good, the latte was decent Vibes are chill, they sell everything in there. Like a really nice convenient store

This spot was around the corner from our hotel. We came here for a coffee quite late and got it. It is a cute breakfast spot and if I needed to get a breakfast, at non-hotel restaurant prices, I could get something. I think they are convenient for the hotel/convention crowd. I say that because they have coffee urn coffee and my husband said it was OK. I haven't been drinking coffee since my surgery, but I did taste his and it was quite good. They have some gluten free options, I had to ask for them and I would have loved to have gotten a sandwich or something on a gluten-free bread. I didn't see this option in the store, but read about it from a fellow Yelper. If I want a Sandwhich and don't want to hoof it all over town, I know that this is the spot to go. We went quite late at night and I was surprised that they had coffee. But I'm glad that they found them. I do wonder why the hotel never mentioned them to us. Especially for the times when the hotel restaurant wasn't in service, but it doesn't matter. We found them, and if in the area and I need something to eat, I'll be back.

A very convenient store to get breakfast bagels and coffee. My fave was the curry chicken empanadas. They were really good. The prices are not bad. They also offer sandwiches for quick meals. This is a place to go if you want to have a quick meal.

I fell in love with this little sandwich shop and market. The owners are so sweet and the selection of items gives you so many choices. Plenty of gluten free options. It's a cute place with small cafe seating. I had a fantastic chicken sandwich on gluten-free. I can't wait to visit again!

Cool little market/cafe spot. Very convenient and closed to Hilton hotel in downtown. Staff was very friendly. Came here for a quick brunch and a few things to get (water, chips, etc.) The coffe i got was just regular coffe. It was good. As for the sandwich it was okay a bit burned. Wouldnt order it again. However, its a nice little store.

Boorshesd meats can't be beaten The menue choices are varied to allow lots of choices the bread was great too Service was a bit sketchy otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars Clean and comfortable setting

Pleasing service in the morning when I walked in. Has free wifi too. The coffee was just right. Took an americano. They have several flavours to add. It has a few seats in case you are interested. Spacious interiors.

I saw a cockroach between two of the machines. Also the lady who runs the register is unprofessional, doesn't do simple things like hand you your receipt. She needs to be retrained or fired. I won't be coming back.

Their Tuna Melt sandwich and their soup were so good! But the most important thing is that the staff were so honest! I left my purse there and just noticed it after eating in the hotel room that we checked in. My husband rushed back there and they handed it back to him. All intact...my wallet with my debit and credit cards and my passport. We didn't get their names but it was June 22, 2024, around 11:00 am.

The sandwiches are really surprisingly delicious, far better than you'd think from the fairly generic decor. Service was excellent as well.

I got a caramel macchiato and it was so deliciou, almost tasted like walnuts, it had a very foreign taste and it was very hot!! I will come again ! the lady working was lovely too

This restaurant is located next to our hotel. Got in before 9am and miss the breakfast rush, we were the only ones in the restaurant. It's a very clean and very well managed. They were fast to get our order done. I ordered Soup and 1/2 sandwich. Soup was Chicken Noodle and Boren St. Reuben sandwich. Both basic originals and very good with my coffee. The wifey had a breakfast wrap which was also good with her Tea. Fast brekkie and on the road we were. I recommend this restaurant for all.

The ladies there a very nice, and the service is very good and the selection is amazing. The breakfast sandwich was huge for the price. And the fruit was fresh. Plus they have sausage and biscuits and egg station.

Having lived just across the street for several months, it would be difficult to not rate this wonderful little cafe/grocery store/take-out. Located on a quiet street just outside Harborview, this location is a popular choice for construction workers and medical personnel alike. To begin, the cafe portion of the establishment is quite good, and they serve a large variety of hot and cold beverages. Likewise the grocery portion boasted an expansive selection of everything from food to household supplies to alcohol. Even though I had access to a vehicle, I still ended up shopping there most of the time. That being said, the real hidden gem of this cafe is their hot bar, which serves breakfast and lunch, both of which boast tasty choices from American and asian cuisine. I would often come here multiple times a day to order food and it was well worth their prices. The food is made in-house and tends to sell out quickly. Overall, I would definitely suggest you utilize this cafe if you live in the area. Not only do they serve as a great place to get a coffee and a donut, but they also have some of the best takeout food in the area.

What can I say but I love this place! It was next door to our hotel and the woman working was awesome. On the second morning I went she remembered me and my order from the day before. We ordered two bagels and a bagel breakfast sandwich and it definitely didn't break the budget. I am already planning to stop there on our way back to the airport and I'm sure she will be ready with my order!!

Walked into this place since it was open till late I.e. 10 PM when almost everything else was closed. Had a Seattle Club and it was gooo goood. Grab a beer to go with the hot sandwich and it was perfect. The turkey + bacon + cheese combination was fingerlicking!

I was staying next door at the Hilton garden inn. Went and got carryout breakfast here. It's a smaller store front that appears to have beer and wine to go, coffee and breakfast and lunch type food. I got the breakfast burrito with sausage as the protein and it was very good. Next time I'm in the area I will be back.

Right next door to Hilton Garden Inn. I have nothing bad to say about this gem. Everything is en pointe from the coffee to the sandwiches to the sundries offered. I was in Seattle for several days and visited Metropolitan Cafe many times at various times of day and it was always .....perfect. Service is fast and flawless. Staff is friendly. It is very difficult to get good customer service lately but thankfully, the Metropolitan Cafe never got that memo.

This place turned a long-term out-of-town project in Seattle into a pleasant experience. The sandwiches were fresh, with generous slabs of meat at a fair price. Over the course of 10-months I probably snagged a salad, or other grab and go snack over 100 times and was not disappointed a single time. Good selection of drinks, and point of purchase snacks, as well as micro-brews and wine. Great go-to with friendly staff!

This place is really lovely. It sits on the 1st floor of my office building and after a few last minute "oh crap I need lunch" visits I already feel as if the staff are good friends of mine. Every day they have alternating specials for lunch; for example this past Thursday it was an amazing spicy basil shrimp with jasmine rice. For about $6 I easily had 2 lunches. This place has everything youd want in a breakfast and lunch cafe, plus some. I'd avoid the noon time frame and try to get here a bit prior before lunch as the line can get long, but they manage it incredibly well so the wait certainly shouldn't discourage you

Great space good Boars Head meat and cheese lots of variety's open a lot had the Philly cheesesteaks

My coworkers and I come here frequently as it is very close to our job site. The sandwiches are great, they have daily soup and hot food, and a nice selection of drinks and snacks. The people are always super friendly and the space is clean and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Good people and good food. In the morning you can come in and good a plate of eggs, hash browns or potatoes, sausage, bacon, and biscuits. Or a breakfast sandwich if you're in the go. They're lunch is also pretty good. They'll usually have a special item for lunch. The other day it was Chicken Alfredo. Yesterday it was barbeque meatballs. They also make a good variety of sandwiches and have a full salad bar. The owners are always nice and a pleasure to interact with and their prices are fair. I'd definitely recommend eating here!

I really love this place. There aren't a lot of good places convenient to Harborview Medical Center, sooo not a fan of the facility bistros. However when my husband saw Metro Cafe, we were so pleasantly surprised. The sandwiches are wonderful and obviously made with love. I've tried the Reuben, Veggie and Capresee and all were amazing. Service can be slower because I think it's literally one couple and their daughter but it's worth it. They also have Korean fried chicken which was SO GOOD! Highly recommend the soy garlic glazed and make sure you call ahead as it takes 25 mins at least to prepare fresh. The food is pricy I'd say but again quality is good-- it feels hearty, healthy and delicious. I'll definitely be coming back!

Breakfast burritos are great, especially when at $4.99. I was surprised this morning to see them at $5.99. I understand the need to raise prices from time to time, but a $1 jump for them seemed a bit steep. I'm thinking others did as well because there were a lot of premade burritos left in the case.

Great sandwiches at an incredible price. They have a wide variety of sandwiches or you can go the build your own route. Either way, you won't be disappointed. They are made while you wait and come off the grill hot. They also offer a wide variety of salad items so you really can't go wrong. The prices are incredibly low when you consider the quality and quantity of food you receive. Definitely one of the best lunchtime food options in the immediate area.

This place is a godsend in an area that's a complete food desert. They have a good food buffet for breakfast and lunch. The sandwiches are amazing and good deal for the cost. Good assortment of booze, snacks and sodas if that's what you're looking for. Great customer service, great food, great spot, super happy I found it.

I'm visiting Seattle for a week came from San Diego. Looking for something near us that was easy and quick. Stumbled on this place and I'm so happy we did! I had a Seattle club awesome the quality of bread meat and cheese worth every penny!! The staff working here was even better. The man behind the counter I think could sense we were from out of town and was so helpful and patient as we didn't know what we wanted. He was always smiling and the lady working with him came out to bring our sandwiches was very sweet as well. We forgot a drink and he noticed we didn't have to ask and brought my family of 4 a large water bottle and glasses to share. Great service and it's only day 2 and we'll be back!!! Not sure why this place had no reviews or stars. I do not like breakfast food. So I searched Yelp for a place open at 630am and this place popped up. Said it was a deli, well, they made me a legit Boars Head sandwich and made my day.

A crowd of us ended up here on Easter morning because it was next to our hotel. The woman who served us and made our food was super friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was affordable and tasted great. It was definitely worth the stop.

These guys make great sandwiches for breakfast and lunch/dinner. Choose from their menu or request a custom sandwich. They are always friendly and have a great selection. I stop in every time I'm in town.
