Really enjoyed their crispy chicken tacos. It’s a generous size. José was super attentive and high energy. Love that they have an outdoor patio here. It’s one of my past time to enjoy chips and salsa outdoors really robust menu for cocktails. I ordered the guava cocktail and while it was a little sweet in my opinion was still very delicious. Highly recommend this placefor your Tex-Mex authentic high-end fix will be back.

Recommended by friends who live in the area. Stopped to have dinner while on the road from California to Reno to South Lake Tahoe. The server was professional and provided suggestions. Ordered asada tacos, which were prepared with veggies and a generous heaping of protein. Salsa was delicious. Ordered the jalapeño margarita that provided a kick of spice and was well prepared. I would recommend this eatery to others and will definitely visit again when I'm in the Reno area.

Amazing and delicious tacos! I love their new spicy lamb taco. This has a great spicy kick to it. They aren't joking when they say it is SPICY! But I enjoy the spice. The Lengua Taco is a must every time now. They cook it so perfectly l, it is tender and full of flavor! Their quesabirria taco is also pretty dang good. You can't really go wrong . Their portion sizes are great for the prices you're paying. Service can vary. Sometimes they are super quick sometimes they seem to take a bit longer to take your order. It's definitely a must try. Their Pineapple Jalapeno margarita is also very delicious!

Very grateful for the friendly staff, and truly exceptional food, which is probably one of the best meals I have had, ever. The steak chorizo was amazing, guacamole, spices and flavors outstanding. I highly recommend, and thank you for the great food and memories!

First of all…service was amazingly phenomenal! Jose was kind, fun and efficient with the timing. My favorite cocktail was the coconut one..if you like coconut. It’s cold, refreshing and has pieces of coconut around the rim and in the drink. Jose brought out chips with guacamole and salsa. The chips were fresh and crispy and the dips were delicious! I had to asked for more chips. Their quesabirria was the hit of the night! The taco shell is so flavorful in the beef stew. Inside was filled with cheese and shredded beef. I have had quesabirria but this…it is out of the world!!!! Pair it with their dipping sauce…mmmmmm sooo freaking good! The duck taco was different. It was my first time. Has pepper and a little dry for me but drizzle the birria sauce over to add nice flavors. I also had lengua (beef tongue) tacos. This was very very good. The meat is tender and so rich in flavorful. Gotta fair it was spicy salsa and birria sauce. I was dancing in my chair with these tacos! Can’t finish the night without dessert. Their churros were served warm alongside melted gooey dark chocolate and whipped cream. The crust is crispy and sweet sugary cinnamon taste. Inside is so soft and warm. The tres leches was moist and delicious (not too sweet). This restaurant has a cute patio and they play good music too!

The dish is very well presented. It tasted as good as it looks. I had duck for the first time and it did not disappoint. The service was a bit slow due to limited staff but we still had a good time. It was worth the wait.

Yelp
These tacos? LOADED. Like dangerously stuffed... in the best way. I've never seen a taco filled with this much everything. They weren't stingy at all -- meat, toppings, sauces, it was all packed in like they were trying to prove a point. And they succeeded. Each bite was flavorful, juicy, and honestly a little chaotic (again, in the best way). You'll need two hands and probably a backup napkin but it's so worth it. The vibe was chill, the service was quick, and I'm definitely coming back. If you like your tacos barely able to hold themselves together (because they're THAT full), this is your place. Drinks 10/10. I'll be back soon enough

Yelp
Another visit to Mexcal, this time to take my sister, her husband, and my niece while they were visiting. Another knockout visit and they were thoroughly impressed. We sat out on the patio this time and service was just as fast as it is inside. Ambiance inside is great, and while the patio could use a little work, it's still nice. The food, everything was great except for the duck tacos were not the same as they were my last visit at all. I'm gonna go ahead and give Mexcal a pass this time and see how next time goes, but the first time I had them they were totally moist, and had nice seared bits. This time the texture was all very soft, no sear, and a little bit dry. But I'll give them another shot, could just be an off day, there were still tasty. This time we also tried the Mahi Mahi tacos, and they were fantastic, I'll be getting those again.

Yelp
What honestly drew me to this place and one of the main reasons I decided to try it was their octopus appetizer. When we arrived, it was peak hour and we thought we'd have to wait a while for a table, but that wasn't the case at all. The hostess was very efficient and immediately seated us in the back area. The service from the entire staff was excellent. The servers checked in to make sure our food was good, and they were all very kind. I genuinely loved how attentive and welcoming they were. Now, the food -- OMG -- it was absolutely delicious! Of course, I had to order the octopus because I couldn't leave without trying it, and it completely exceeded my expectations. It was super tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We also ordered quesabirria tacos, lengua tacos, al pastor, and one more that I can't quite remember but they all had great flavor and a generous amount of meat. As for the ambiance, the music made the whole experience even better. Thank you so much to the Mexcal team for the amazing service I'm definitely coming back!

Yelp
When in the downtown corridor of Reno, NV and looking for a nice place to enjoy some tacos, MEXCAL is calling your name! Rolled in on a Friday afternoon and ordered all three tacos from the Tacos Dorados menu. One Quesabirria, one spicy lamb, and one chicken. Let me tell you something Yelpstars, if you're a spicehead, the spicy lamb taco will light you up. I really enjoyed the tacos...and for the range of $6.00-$6.75 these tacos are nicely loaded with meats for a fair price. I was very satisfied with my first trip to MEXCAL and I'll for sure be back! 5 stars.

Yelp
Came in twice in one week. First we stopped in to get out of the thunderstorm and try out some fun cocktails and the charred octopus appetizer. Drinks were super tasty and the octopus was delicious! We knew we needed too top back in to try the tacos. A couple days later we stopped in for some late night tacos. All 2 we tried were absolutely amazing and piled high with meat, fantastic price and a great way to be able to try as many different tacos as you want. The duck confit is my absolute favorite and I cannot wait to come back and have another! This time we sat outside on the patio, epic ambiance, great music and fun lighting at night. The service here was absolutely amazing both times. Servers are very attentive and the food comes out super quick even if they are busy. Mexcal is by far my favorite taco place in Reno now and we plan to come back soon!

Yelp
Wow- first of all, what a treat!! I was so thankful for the easy parking. We arrived and were seated immediately, served some cold water and soft drinks, it was quick and friendly. The chips, salsa and guac were SO GOOD. How Mexcal dresses their guac had me in a trance. I ordered the spicy lamb taco, the carne asada, chicken and the cauliflower apple. The cauliflower apple taco is SO unique and I loved it. My favorite was the asada taco, so rich in flavor but simple and beautiful. The spicy lamb taco gave me a run for my money (it was so spicy... be careful). Also, the restaurant had a homey vibe and was pleasant to sit in. You can't go wrong here!

Yelp
Mexican cuisine at its best! Great spot for a date night or just a margarita out on the patio. I tried the mahi mahi taco and the short rib taco - the short rib was fantastic. It had a nice balance of flavor, guacamole on the bottom of the corn tortilla with a generous amount of meat topped with crema and cilantro. The service was amazing and you just might find the owner walking around visiting with everyone. We will definitely come back!

Yelp
We loved mexcal! Started with guava and mango margaritas, both great but the mango was beyond. Then the (super fresh) chips came with a salsa flight! The tacos were filling and fresh, and the enchiladas were too. Service was amazing, and we ate in the outside area which was great for a date night. Will be here again!

Yelp
Mexcal has been on my list for a quite a while after a friend and I tried to go on a holiday to find them closed. We tried this time for said friends birthday and I thought it was delish! First and foremost, the service was quick and polite! We visited for lunch during the workday and they got us in and out in about thirty minutes without rushing us. Our servers were very attentive. I ordered three of the Avenue tacos (street tacos) and was delighted hit fully pleased by the amount of meat in each taco. They were all absolutely stuffed full. Of the three I tried, the carne asada was my favorite, followed by the short rib, then the chicken. The carne asada was great, nicely seasoned snd not spicy, which is my preference. The chicken had a slight spice which wasn't overbearing. The short rib was also good. In my opinion, three Avenue tacos is more than enough for a meal. Two tacos is probably good, especially if you start with an appetizer and end with dessert. I treated my friend for his birthday and paid about $36 before tip for the six tacos (no drinks). I think this price is pretty reasonable. The interior of the restaurant was very clean and neat. I can see how it would be lively at night with drinks flowing. Great spot and I will definitely come again!

Yelp
Tacos with a twist and flair! It was time to write a review for this great establishment after being VERY pleased each time I've visited. Cozy atmosphere...almost feels like you're sitting in someone's living room if you're inside and on someone's patio if you're sitting outside...and I've done both. The service has been on point each time I've been in with friendly hostesses and servers. The food is delicious! Very unique spins on street tacos. I've enjoyed a wide variety from the menu...including: Quesabirria ($6) [Braised Short Rib, Cheese, Onions and Cilantro] Amazing consommé...deep, rich flavors...tastes like it's been simmering for days! Very Spicy Lamb ($6.75) [Pickled Red Cabbage, Cilantro, Red Onion, Queso and Crema] I have a high spice level, so these weren't too spicy for me, but they had a great flavor. Carnitas ($5.25) [Pickled Cabbage, Pico, Cilantro and Pickled Jalapenos] A delicious iteration of the classic...the pickled components add a unique flavor. Lengua ($5.50) [Beef Tongue, Onion and Cilantro] I LOVE tongue in many different ethnic cuisines and this was exemplary! Carne Asada ($4.75) [Red & White Onion and Cilantro] Beautifully and simply prepared...a flavor bomb. Duck Confit ($7.95) [Maple Leaf Duck, Red Cabbage, pickled Red Onion and Cilantro] I'm a sucker for Duck Confit and this was prepared perfectly...rich, unctuous...great balance of flavor and texture...this is my favorite... Most of the proteins are available as Enchiladas or Tostadas, too. Great selection of beers...I've ordered some of my favorite Mexican beers...Victoria & Bohemia...every time. We have a LOT of great Mexican food in the area, but this is a standout example of one of the best. I'll be back to enjoy it again. I suggest that you drop by and try it to see what YOU think!

Yelp
This is my go to place for quality Mexican food. The quesabirria tacos are my favorite. I've also had the spicy lamb tacos and mahi mahi tacos. That spicy lamb is not for the faint of heart. I finished it, but it was a struggle and I like spicy. Their alcohol drinks are strong- I'd suggest trying one of their signature margaritas. Service is prompt and attentive, but not overly friendly. I have eaten inside and on the patio both are good options depending on the weather.

Yelp
Quality/Quantity - Simple menu done well. All of the below were very good. Additional descriptions for my choices. It is basically upscale Mexican food. Quesabirria Dorado - House speciality, a must try. Generous filling/meat. Shrimp Enchiladas - Again, generous shrimp fillings. Good flavors. Taco Chicken - Good, see pictures. Taco Lengua - Tongue, good; see pictures. Chicken Enchiladas. Mahi Mahi Taco - Available deep fried or grilled. Of course the deep fried one wins! Carnitas Enchilada. Atmosphere - Decent size location. Indoor and enclosed outdoor dining. See pictures. Table, bar, or booth seating. Limited parking, but plenty of street parking. Open 6 days a week from 11am to 9pm or 10pm. Closed Sundays. Service - Good. Price - $54 + generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2020; we will be regular customers.

Yelp
Attending an event in the area and we decided to have dinner and drinks before attending. Loved their drink options -- can't go wrong with a margarita. The Alyssa Loca was my favorite. Ordered some chips, salsa, and guacamole for the table. The green salsa was really good and their guacamole was super fresh. The staff was attentive and made sure that we were taken care of during our visit. Loved the Al pastor and spicy chicken tacos. Fun atmosphere with good food options. They have a back patio area too. Go and check them out!

Yelp
Great fancy taco spot in midtown Reno. Tacos are always on point, food is quick and delicious and great vibe and outdoor seating area. Couple tv's to watch the games. Good quality food and great tasting, can't go wrong

Yelp
A friend brought me here. He raved about the food. I suppose if you really like octopus and clam, then their appetizers and unique clam tacos would be appealing. I'm more old-school. So I got two of the El Dorado chicken tacos. In the description it says braised chicken taco, but it was really just Tinga. They were really good, and this is a weird knock, but there was actually too much meat in them. I mean I just knocked it out and ate it with chips later . But I think if there was a better balance, the taco would've been outrageous. The mahi-mahi taco, was my only disappointment of the day. I ordered the fried one thinking they battered fresh fish. Did not turn out to be that, and it was a little overcooked. The guacamole was first rate, and yes it was $10 for the giant bowl and well worth it. The salsas, there were three, were all really good. And the drinks are wow. I don't actually drink much, but I had some of my friends mango and raspberry mixed drinks. Those things pack a punch and they're tasty. I'm going to come back and try some different dishes, give the lamb a try. If you like eclectic restaurants, with a different menu than your standard Taqueria, this is a good choice .

Yelp
Mexcal is a place we have been dying to try. Tonight was that night. A lovely, quaint restaurant, near the end of Mid-Town, but before you get to Downtown proper. Mexcal can be best described as an elevated authentic Mexican restaurant. Their specialty is tacos, with many variants on offer. Tonight I started with the Tacos de Lengua (Beef Tongue). While this might be an odd choice for a Taco, but if you have never had Tacos de Lengua you are in for a treat. The Lengua was just the most tender, flavorful meat. And when I say meat, my taco was overflowing with the delicious treat. The taco was absolutely amazing. If I had to criticize, I would say it had "too much meat". Did I just say that ? Another house favorite is the Quesabirria Tacos. Made from marinated and simmered Beef Short Ribs, another amazing offering. The Queso was delicious and provided a nice complement to the Birria. Perhaps because I ate it after the Taco de Lengua, I was a touch disappointed that the taco shell on the Quesabirria Taco was a bit soggy. Not terrible but not the crunchy outer shell I was expecting. In addition to the Tacos, my wife ordered a single Chicken Enchilada. OMG. This had to have been the biggest chicken enchilada I have ever seen ! Filled with rich marinated chicken, this has got to be one of the best enchilada's we have ever had. And while she only ordered on enchilada, it was more than big enough for use to share. What ?!? Closing with the staff. The staff at Mexcal are absolutely lovely. Quick to ensure you have the best experience but not in a hovering way. Well done, Mexcal, well done. Que Bueno.

Yelp
This is an upscale, fancier Mexican restaurant. They have a small menu but all items are so delicious. We got the octopus for the appetizer. It is so delicious. Would definitely recommend it. The short rib tacos are amazing. I could eat like 10 of them. They have a margarita called the Alyssa Loco so of course I had to order it. It had raspberries in it, with blanco tequila, and topped off with rosè. Yummy !

Yelp
Mexcal is one of my go to restaurants in Reno. Anytime we have company Mexcal is one of our top choices for where to go. The food here is consistently excellent, and the not street tacos are very generous in portion. There are a lot of excellent appetizers and tacos, with my favorites being the lengua and octopus. Service is always top notch and they do a great job checking in on you. Glad to see this place popping with business and so lovely.

Yelp
It was good and different, my very first Mexican food without rice and bean. We both enjoyed taco's, definitely come back to try something else on the menu's.

Yelp
Wife and I stopped in for the 1st time and we really enjoyed it. The service was excellent, and the food was even better. The Birria tacos were fabulous. My wife had a lengua taco and a mushroom taco. Both were excellent. We will bring our friend's next time.

Yelp
I have heard a buzz around about Mexcal, so I decided to finally check it out. The buzz around town definitely doesn't do it justice! Mexcal is smallish restaurant that has a warm and welcoming soul. The decor is a great mix of the traditional and new generation. Our server, Jose was fantastic! He was friendly and had an enthusiastic attitude. Jose was great at giving suggestions and listening to what each person needed at the table (this included allergies-I haven't felt this safe in a restaurant in a while). Jose made sure that every need was met, drinks were always full, and all the flavors of the food were on point. To drink, we had the Pineapple Jalapeño Margarita, Playa Rosa, and the Alyssa Loca. The Pineapple Jalapeño was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. The heat was not overwhelming. The Playa Rosa was complex, light, and refreshing. The Alyssa Loca was similar to the Playa Rosa but on the rocks and had more raspberry flavors. For an appetizer, we had the Ahi Ceviche. All of the food here is large in portions-the ceviche was definitely not an exception. The fish was fresh and the knife cuts were spot on. The leche de tigre (tiger's milk) or ceviche juice as most know it was bright, refreshing, complex, and elevated the dish. Bonus tip: add pineapple to it! I had some from a taco fall on top and it was delicious! For our meals, we had the Quesabirria tacos, Mahi Mahi tacos, Lengua tacos, Very Spicy Lamb tacos, and the Carne Asada tacos. All of these were massive. All of the meats were tender and juicy. The fish was flaky and light. All of the tacos were seasoned beautifully. The flavors were complex and complemented each other. The Lengua deserves its own shout out. This is the best I have ever had! The Lengua was tender, buttery, and melted in my mouth. It had a richness and each bite had one doing a food happy dance. For dessert, we had the churros. The churros were crispy and were properly drained of excess oil. They were very lightly coated in sugar. The churros were served with Mexican chocolate dipping sauce. This sauce was to die for! With it being wintertime, I definitely need this in my cup as a drink! I am so glad I followed the buzz and checked out Mexcal! This is a great restaurant with wonderful staff. I definitely found a new place to eat and I plan to quickly become known as a regular at Mexcal!

Yelp
Time really flies because by the time I'm finally reviewing this place they really aren't new anymore, but man are they tasty. They have a convenient location between downtown and midtown. Parking can get slightly tricky at times, but it's worth it. The menu includes tacos, tostadas, enchiladas, but no burritos. They pile their items very full of meat and toppings, which is appreciated from both a taste perspective and value perspective. Not only does it make it more worth it, they taste SO much better when the ratio isn't 20% filling 80% tortilla. I prefer the tostadas here because they have more toppings, but the tacos are great for the true meat lovers. The enchiladas are also delicious. There really isn't an item that you can go wrong with. I truly truly wish there were more vegetarian items here, even just one. The cauliflower apple is insanely delicious, and I wish I could bring my plant based friends here with more options. The spicy lamb is one of their most special items. It's listed hot on the menu, but while most places do that and it lacks, they give you a warning because it's that spicy. I don't do lamb or spice, but my friends adore it and come back specifically for that- even from california. One great thing about this place is that not only are the items so full of whichever protein/filling you choose, it's also ordered by item. This way is fantastic because you don't fill up on mediocre beans and rice, and most importantly you get the freedom to try as many things as you'd like. I typically get a tostada, taco, and enchilada. We get four items each when we're hungry, but this allows you to try lots of items, customize your meal, and also tailor your size to each customer. Such a great way to do it. The margaritas are good here, but the Cadillac margarita is absolutely fantastic. The only downside is the price will be the same as your entire meal. Service here has been good each time I've came, never had a complaint. If they had morning star beef crumbles I can promise you we would be daily customers haha.

Yelp
Tacos and tequila-perfect combination! The tacos are so good here and stuffed with your choice of a large selection of meats. We started with a michelada and pineapple jalapeno margarita-both were delicious as was the guacamole appetizer. We also ordered a trio of tacos-carne asada, shrimp and al pastor. Great meal and love the murals and decor.

Yelp
Tacos here are great! flavor is on point and they're honestly huge. my only gripe was i wanted more onion on all my tacos, it was very meat heavy. the meat itself was delicious though, there's tons of variety and they were all solid. my favorite was this chorizo steak they had on special, it was super unique and tasty. I also had their coconut margarita and it was fantastic, not very strong but flavor wise it's on point. all in all it's a great place to grab tacos, definitely pricey though. service was exceptionally fast and nice as well. ambiance is great, it's always pretty busy and lively here. the outdoor patio is a vibe as well, i always appreciate the option to sit outside. my only deduction here is because the heaviness of the tacos, i think adding some more onion or pineapple where it's needed would help make the tacos feel more fresh and it would keep me coming back for more. i just would get sick of eating the taco 3 bites in because it lacks that freshness. it doesn't take away from the delicious flavor of the meat, but personally my party and i enjoy a nice even combo of fresh toppings to meat.

Yelp
Just stopped in for some appetizers. Tried the ceviche and chips and salsa. Ceviche was good with a nice lime flavor to it. The salsa for the chips was different. You get a platter with 3 options and none of them were to my liking personally. The green salsa was overpowered with lime, the one in the middle that has vegetables and looks robust was way too sweet and the last one just ehh... none of them were even spicy. I would like to come back to try their actual tacos just didn't have time this visit. It's a casual setting with decent service.

Yelp
Another successful dinner date at Mexcal, came on a Saturday night and were able to get a table pretty quickly even though it was fairly busy. Everything was great, I love the Tapas style approach for tacos and tostadas so you can try a little of everything. My one gripe this visit was the price of Salsa and Guac, they charged us separately for each but only brought one small bowl of chips. Ends up being almost $20 and not worth it in my opinion compared to other menu items I would get. Small gripe and something I will note the next time they ask, but my fault for not clarifying and declining the offer when we first sat down. Tip to customers that don't like to pay for the upsell. Overall great dining experience with great service, I'm sure I will be coming back again soon!

Yelp
Elevated street tacos, located at the heart of Reno between downtown and Midtown! This restaurant has been open for quite some time now, and they never disappoint. I ordered a spread of carnitas, octopus, carne asada, and Al pastor tacos, and my husband ordered 4 carne asada tacos. All of which were delicious and filled to the brim with your respective meat option. My only complaint was the dryness of the carnitas, however, overall, very delicious! The service was so helpful and very enthusiastic to help and to check in on us, which is definitely a plus! Additionally, the ambiance is clean and very trendy, we loved and enjoyed the artwork all around us. Overall, a great place for elevated Mexican food, and will definitely be back again to try others!

Yelp
Great Mexican menu and decent portions. I ended up taking some Tacos home. Full bar but the emphasis is on tequila. Mexican beers available. Friendly and quick service.

Yelp
Talk about quality! This place is fantastic, the menu is amazing. The duck taco is my favorite. Honestly though all the food on the menu is amazing. Service is excellent as well

Yelp
Mexcal is a great stop for delicious tacos. While the tortillas may be the smaller street taco size they absolutely pile on the good stuff. The offerings of what fills your taco goes far beyond what you would find in your typical taco joint - from classics like al pastor to mahi mahi or short ribs. The protein is accompanied by a specific fillings and sauces to compliment the main. Most of the tacos are $6-7 but fill you up with 2-3 tacos so it makes for a pretty solid value. The ambiance is bright and upbeat with a pretty legit enclosed patio that gives the outdoor vibes but comfortable. The bartenders are on point with the drinks, especially the amigo malo which I can't help but to enjoy every time I visit

Yelp
Finally got to try Mexcal after having it on my list for a long time. Came by for the first time for dinner and I ordered three tacos, I got the Al pastor, the carnitas and the cauliflower and apple. The carnitas was a little dry for me but still good flavor. The Al pastor was very good. I loved the pineapple on it. But the winner was the cauliflower! I mostly ordered it because it sounded so weird I had to try to but it was fabulous! I'll get at least 2 of those next time I'm back. Very tasty! We also started with chips and salsa which unfortunately are not free. I feel with a Mexican restaurant, I usually expect chips and salsa. I ordered them and they were okay. Probably won't get them again. Parking is limited and the restaurant is small and loud. Despite it not being busy when I went, the sound echos so bad I could barely hear the one friend I was with sitting right next to me.

Yelp
I love a restaurant who can think outside the box when putting vegetarian options on the menu! Their menu is à la cart which gives you the opportunity to try a few different things! I had the cauliflower apple taco and mushroom enchilada. Both were very good. Fresh, beautiful presentation, and delicious! The service was great, friendly, attentive, and the ambiance was great. Indoor outdoor seating options. Thank you Mexical for your delicious veggie options!!!

Yelp
Good stuff! One of the standout dishes at Mexcal for me is the spicy lamb tacos--an absolute must-try for spice lovers. The lamb is cooked to perfection, tender, and bursting with bold flavors - the spice level is high & adds a ton of heat to the dish. The kind of heat you feel the next day so you've been warned. If you enjoy a lot of a kick, these tacos will not disappoint! Mexcal is located at 137 Vesta St & has been great restaurants in the past that didn't seem to make it but I'm thinking it was meant to be. BTW, "Mexcal" is a fusion of the words "México" and "Mezcal", referring to both the country and the traditional Mexican spirit made from agave. Another favorite on the menu is the quesabirria tacos, which my wife loves and always orders. They are flavorful and served with a rich sauce for dipping. Seafood lovers need also try the mahi-mahi tacos, which I've had a few times and have always been fresh and delightful! The service is always in line and the restaurant is clean, inviting, and full of vibrant energy.

Yelp
Their service was super good! Loved the ambiance. The food was good but I wouldn't say authentic as far as Mexican food and the menu is limited. But the drinks were phenomenal and super yummy.

Yelp
Very good food The ceviche and tacos were excellent The atmosphere is alive and friendly Excellent choice for Mexican dishes. It is individual items meaning not with beans rice etc, which I like.

Yelp
Darling restaurant!! Great food, good service, great vibes! Menu is a little different--no rice or beans, tacos and tostadas were very tasty! But be careful with the VERY spicy lamb ones, met my heat match surprisingly. Took a bit of sour cream to tame it! Glad I took server's advice to eat it last. Really enjoyed the pickled cabbage on items. Margarita choices are very good-had the mango one! Not mostly ice- and larger than most! I can't wait for cooler weather to dine on covered patio!

Yelp
We attended first Thursdays at the Art Museum and then headed out for dinner. Right around the corner is Mexical. We joined friends to create a group of 5. We all had various margaritas and shared a guacamole appetizer. Next we ordered. I had the short rib crunchy taco for $6.00 is was amazing. The best taco salsa combination! This taco is their specialty and I highly recommend it. Sorry no picture! I ate it too quickly!

Yelp
It's expensive, because I always order 2 margaritas and several tacos because they offer wicked tacos and damn fine tequila! If nothing else, you have to have their Quesabirria Taco! It's a meal on its own. Gotta go here, but be careful! It could cost quite a bit. But it's worth it!

Yelp
Maybe best tacos in Reno? I have been visiting here since they opened and always have had an amazing quality food and service. Tonight when going, I ordered the Carne Asada tacos and Al Pastor tacos. They were so delicious with huge portions on each taco! I was very impressed. We also got the Carnitas tacos which were sooo tasty. The meat had a bit of a char or crisp to it which really made it mouth watering. They also have this insanely spicy hot sauce there I added to each taco to enhance the experience. This restaurant is a must try! They offer indoor outdoor seating that has a very chill vibe with adequate space where you don't feel too close to anybody else .

Yelp
Mexcal is great! Had dinner and drinks last night and everything was wonderful. The grilled octopus is our favorite appetizer. We were a party of 4 and had a variety of tacos and enchiladas all were amazing. We had the pleasure of having Joanna as our waitress, we hope to get her as our waitress next time she is great!

Yelp
Service: impeccable service, served extremely fast after ordering. We did have an early lunch. We were checked on OFTEN by multiple employees. Our order was correct. Atmosphere: Restaurant is under construction, made no difference we were seated on enclosed patio with heaters and given explanation. It was a non issue. Cleanliness: tables are very clean, restrooms clean, floors clean. Food: The price per taco was like WHAT, $5??? Ok.. the reviews were good let's try! Soooooo glad we did!! The portions are HUGE packed w meat. I ordered as a bari girl without tortilla. My order is shrimp taco and mahi mahi grilled. Presentation was BEAUTIFUL!! Flavors were delicious!! I am a salt girl, wish there was more salt, but this is a ME issue!! Would we dine here again? I CANT WAIT TO COME BACK!!!!! Helllllll yeahhhh!! What did I order? Shrimp taco without tortilla topped with guacamole! It had nice citrusy cumin flavors. I also ordered a very fresh mahi mahi taco also without tortilla. It was topped with a Devine pickled cabbage and pineapple. I wasn't able to eat pineapple due to keto and recent bari surgery. Flavors were fantastic.

Yelp
I can't believe I've never been here! This is definitely a foodie place. I'm obsessed. They had a la carte tacos and I was sold! I'm pescatarian and so they had multiple fish options and also had a ton of vegetarian options. They are also huge! I can usually eat 4 tacos easily to myself but they had so much filling I could only get through 2 in one sitting. They also had amazing guac. Service was absolutely on point. And we also loved the atmosphere. They sat us out on the enclosed patio and it was so nice! This is my new favorite Reno Mexican food spot!

Yelp
Delicious tacos and great service! I've been here several times and have not been disappointed once. The Birria taco, fish taco, and carne asada tacos are my favorite. They also have a fantastic coconut margarita that you shouldn't skip on!

Yelp
Went here today for lunch with my daughter. Everything was nicely plated for a good presentation. My daughter had the ahi ceviche which she said was very good. I had the chicken tacos dorados and the carne asada tostado without crema as im not a fan. I thought they were just OK. The flavors didn't really pop for me but my husband enjoyed my leftovers and said they were good. The service was friendly and efficient. I would go back again and perhaps try something new. They also had a lot of fun cocktails on the menu that looked yummy. There is easy parking in the back of the building which is nice since midtown can be difficult. They do have a posting that a 3% charge will be added to the bill if paying by credit or debit, so bring cash if want to avoid the fee.
