"Much can be solved over margaritas, jalapeños and lashings of melted cheese and MexiCasa is a great stop for bona fide Mexican flavours as well as the too-long vilified Tex-Mex. Food is consistent and bright, featuring well-balanced flavours, particularly the guacamole and deliciously moreish shrimp tacos, with a citrusy, smoky finish. Go for this, but stay for the bowl-sized dirty margaritas, pugnaciously fiery with thick slices of jalapeño." - Shekha Vyas

Ok but nothing special, I've had way better Mexicans around the country. The fries were nice, the restaurant was clean and today and the waitress was very friendly but that's about it. The enchiladas were bland and the tortillas were dry, hard and tasted stale. The beans were nice but the rice was stodgy. I felt it was a bit pricey for the quality and they also stuck a service charge on which I didn't like. Safe to say I won't be returning again 🙅🏻‍♂️

Located within walking distance of Stratford station. This little hidden gem is definitely worth a visit. When you walk through the door, the atmosphere reminds me of being in rural Mexico. The staff were very friendly and provided great service with a friendly smile. The menu was varied, and the food was impressively tasty. We didn’t have to wait long either. We went for the platillos, and we were impressed by the portion size. Three are more than enough for two people. Overall it’s a fantastic place if you are looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant, which is good value for money and leave you wanting more.

𝗠𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗮 Located in Stratford, @mexicasa377 serves authentic halal Mexican cuisine. The extensive menu will leave you with something to taco about🤭 We tried the following: 𝗡𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝘅𝗶 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 (𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀). 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀 𝗔𝗹 𝗔𝗷𝗶𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗲 (𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗼𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗽) 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗮: 𝟲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗳 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮 Upon entering, we received a very warm welcome from the waiter. We were seated promptly & I was instantly impressed by the menu. I asked for recommendations & opted for those dishes. The nachos were delicious & extremely filling. The portion size was huge, you could easily share this with a few people. I love wings and more often than not, if I spot it on a menu, I’ll order it. We chose the Chipotle bravo wings. They were tender & had a spicy kick. The delicious marinade will certainly make you want to lick your fingers as they were very flavoursome. The Quesadillas (3 in 1 portion) were loaded with beef, beans and lots of cheese. I absolutely loved these. They were well seasoned & the sauce complimented it well. Who doesn’t love a melty, cheesy quesadilla😋 Whilst the Ternera en salsa (6 hour braised beef) was cooked well, I found the dish itself dry. If it came with some of the juices/gravy, this would have been a great dish. The garlic shrimp tacos were relatively small, I was expecting more filling as you had to take a few bites before getting to the filling. However, the prawns themselves were tasty. The Beef Enchildas were served with frijoles (black beans) and Mexican rice topped with Tinga sauce. This was scrumptious, all the flavours worked very well. I loved the fact that their children’s menu had a varied option! Overall, we had a lovely evening & really enjoyed most of the dishes. If you’re looking for a casual, dining experience with a great ambience, it’s definitely worth checking out. #halalfood #mexicanfood

Very nice little place close to Stratford. I went with a few friends and the server was very accommodating. Food was great, nachos plate is pictured and it was a very large portion, easily enough for 3 people. I had the beef burrito, it was decent quality but I wouldn't order it again. It wasn't particularly flavourful and the salsa it came with was too tangy. I'd visit again but try something else next time. Definitely worth a visit

Came here on Friday evening and totally disappointed! Food only came about 45 minutes wait! As you can see the photo, tacos was ok some meat was salty. My friend had the fish main and the rice and vege were soggy and didn’t taste good. The meat platter, everything didn’t really taste well, meat over cooked! The most disappointing part was the kitchen. It was so messy and wasn’t organised well at all! Definitely won’t recommend anyone to come here!

This was a pleasant lunch, have been walking past this place for the past few months only had a chance to go in today. The venue is nicely decorated, the high ceilings, colours and art give it a nice homely feel. The dining chairs are a mix of armchairs and comfy chairs. The pleasant atmosphere made me feel like having a nap but was rudely kept awake by my colleague. I went for the lunch menu which was pulled beef burger with chips. The burger arrived in good time. It was presented nice and the portion was good. The burger tasted great, the meat was soft and tasty. The salad inside was lovely, the bun was also fresh and soft. Chips were fries covered in peri salt, they tasted nice. The only down part for me was the burger meat had cooled down from the salsa inside, this didn't take anything away from the great taste and atmosphere. The staff at the venue were also very nice. This will definitely need another visit.

I ordered a sharing platter but the food was pretty average. There was no flavour, wings tasted like they were microwaved. The beef had at least 80% fat which isn't ideal at all and the prawns tasted as if they were cooked a few days before. All in all, the quality of food was poor however the service and staff were exceptional.

The food was okish but everything else really disappointing. The shop is quite dated with a strong smell of... Something dated. The staff is generally friendly, other than the manager who is also the bartender. I don't understand how she is still working there, rude, with no idea of hospitality and making cocktails without even tasting the alcohol. Our cocktails were margaritas that ended up being virgin afterall. Food as I said okish but desert, don't even think about it. Just what a 5 year old would do, not even the effort is evident. I'd go with something else. Pics of deserts below
