The service here feels like you are visiting a family friend. Our server sereio was outstanding, he will answer any question with care and patience. I’ve came here with big groups as well as a more casual time and each and every visit I am blown away by his care and attentiveness. The drinks are delicious and the food is wonderful, music is just the cherry on top. If you are in the area looking for something that feel comfortable and fun I would highly recommend! Big plus that also offer hookah :)

Very nice quaint Mexican restaurant. They have special days like "taco Tuesday- 3 tacos with margarita for $18". I ordered the chicken burrito on this particular Tuesday. Unfortunately I had to take it to go, instead of sitting down in this swanky and quaint restaurant. The food, I would rage between 8-9. Friendly staff... Everything here is above par ✨️ IMO.

My son and I had the birria tacos, which isn’t expressly on the menu - but nevertheless readily available to order. Food was delicious, drinks were just as good, and the service was very attentive and polite. They also have an outdoor patio which definitely gives the atmosphere a whole vibe.

I’ve been coming to Mexico 2000 for years, never had a negative experience. The staff is very kind and takes really good care of us as regulars. We will keep coming here and we highly recommend.

This place is so perfect to bring your family to. I love the chill laid back vibes and it’s so pretty in the back with all of the fairy lights. I saw someone held a graduation dinner here and now I have to bring my bro here for his upcoming graduation 😻 Also the food and drinks are so delicious! I highly recommend getting the steak and wings no matter what!

My new favorite Mexican food/drink spot. Shrimp tacos are scrumptious and a generous portion. By far my favorite, which has me hooked, are the Tamarindo Margaritas; súper big, súper tasty and súper authentic in flavor!

I love Mexico 2000 they have amazing happy hour deals and ambience with outdoor and indoor seating . I love going to this spot with friends especially on a nice warm day the food is some of best I had definitely recommend trying out . Only thing is they don't have broad music selection other than that great vibe overall

6 tacos/ 30$ 5 shots/ (4 whiskey 1 mezcal) 109$. 6 tacos and 5 shots cost me $139. & I tipped $20. All in all almost $160. Should've asked how much the shots were before asking them to pour em however they were super friendly and $20+ a shot is insane. Feel like they saw a gringo and took me for a ride.

This place is a hidden gem in the middle of Brooklyn, you might miss it if you walk by too fast but it is definitely worth going in. My friend and I had the sugar daddy, and the old fashion both were strong and tasty! We had some chips and salsa while we were looking over the menu and the owner suggested we have the table side guacamole, wow talk about fresh! I had the fajitas de res The steak was so tender and amazing with lots of peppers and onions which I love, and a fried egg on top. Also had three tacos which were super fresh I love a scratch kitchen. If you are in the area definitely stop in

Mexico2000 belongs to stay in the year 2000! i personally did not have a good time here despite the gorgeous back yard and colors. they charged us for random food and drinks that we did not order and there is a clear language barrier with english amongst a majority of the staff. the way they take orders is not efficient and a bad POS system which could explain the price they charged our table. the food was a miss and i wouldn't recommend the taco. the service also took forever for the food to come out and drinks were pretty watered down. i had much better mexican food and don't recommend this place there's much better spots.

Not sure what all the hype is about. Must be the hookah (which we didn't try). We waited forever to be seated and the line kept getting longer behind us. They had no waiting list or system to seat everyone, so the entrance was a crowded mess. If you still decide to go there after reading my review, be sure to make a reservation, especially on a weekend. DO NOT use a Pulsd voucher, as they will not honor it. The manager/owner told us he doesn't know why the voucher exists because they are not involved with pulsd and has told them multiple times to take it down. I also checked in on yelp and a voucher for a free shot popped up. After giving us another story he eventually honored the yelp voucher. This place is pretty big. There's indoor table seating, seating at the bar, and an outdoor patio. The staff communication is terrible. 30 minutes after being seated and no one had come to take our order, but once our order was taken here come 3 other waitresses. The food and drinks took forever. Seems as if they might have been short staffed or just couldn't handle the crowd. The food was definitely not worth the wait. The beans smelled as if they had gone bad and the meat for the fajitas just wasn't good. The seafood dish also didn't give what it was supposed to give. We left annoyed and unsatisfied. I see a lot of people going here, but it's a no for me.

I'm not sure exactly why, but the name Mexico 2000 intrigued me so I figured I'd give it a try. The guac and salsa were fresh and flavorful, although I wish the chips were a bit warmer and fresher when they came out. The Ezquites though was the real star of the show, and I immediately tried looking up how to make the dish at home, but when I tried the next day it definitely didn't taste as good. The flavored margaritas were also very good, from the strong but delicious drink itself, to the sweet and salty rim, to the unique garnishing for each flavor, I definitely wanted to try more. A bit on the pricey end, but I'm glad I came. If I come back, it will definitely be during the Tuesday deal which includes 3 tacos and a margarita for about the same price as only a margarita on other days.

Recently paid a visit to Mexico 2000 after a long dining hiatus to this establishment. The Mole Enchiladas were still fuego, but the drinks were not as good as I remember them tasting. Service has improved tremendously, and the manager is as hospitable as ever. Will definitely visit again for their HH specials!

Nice chill spot I in between jobs and wanted a bit to eat and stopped in . The passion fruit margarita was made very well I definitely enjoyed it. The steak quesadilla was ok the steak was alil over cooked but was seasoned very well. It's a large restaurant. They also have outdoor seating large tv screens and my bartender was very pleasant.

The food was great and didn't take long to come out. I wish there was more to choose from. The margarita was STRONG just how I like it! Great look key spot for brunch. Went on a Sunday and wasn't crowded. They offer hookah as well.

The BEST brunch I've been to in a loooonnnngg time. My friend's birthday was here (10ish people) and everything was *chef's kiss* The drinks were sweet and tasty...but also strong. The kind of strong where you don't know it's that strong until you get up and try to stand. The sangria, the margarita and the rum punch were really good. My favorite was the margarita! I got the tamale mole and I could've licked my plate clean; it was amazing. Service here was so good! They gave us guacamole, salsa and chips throughout the night. We got birthday shots and overall, the staff were fun and attentive.

My go to neighborhood spot. The drinks are always good. They have hookah & the staff is usually nice. Its quieter during the week but the staff will change the music if asked. Food is always good.

The place is solid. Decent drinks (esthetically pleasing but doesn't really hit) the tacos and shrimp ceviche was bomb, everything was fresh but I waited over an hour for my tamal verde and that annoyed my soulllll ! Then to get it and it not tasting amazing was even more of a disappointment, ended up not even eating it. Good thing is the deducted MOST of the cost of the dish (charged $5.00) The server was nice enough I guess ... come back ?? R not . I think I'm done allowing tik tok to select the places I dine . Too much hype .

Went here with my friend since we wanted to take an adventure. This place is near the hewes subway stop. We walked in and the restaurant was full and there was a party going on in the back. The service here was great and the waitress was nice and on the ball the whole meal. **To note they do include gratuity on your check. ** We got the guacamole and chips to start which was decent, unfortunately they don't make their own chips. For my meal I had the enchilada verde which was delicious and came with rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream and tomatoes. I also had a mojito which was strong and huge in size.

Very good Mexican food.. prices reasonable and ample meter parking right outside. Owner is very nice and cares about his customers.

Food was ok! We asked for frozen drinks and did not get them. The drinks were a mix of frozen and ice cubes like they ran out and didn't want to blend anymore drinks. The service was horrible. I'm hoping they were just having a bad day but I will not be returning to see if anything improved.

The food was soooooo good !! The shrimp !! Don't get me started on the shrimp they're huge and flavorful and the price is amazing!! The drinks were absolutely a hit and soo many options you can't go wrong with great margaritas and they offer deals on drinks frequently. They also offer hookah which is a great addition to a fun night. The service is quick and very attentive and the ambiance is laid back but with great music.

Had an amazing time, came for a friends birthday get together. It was about 15 of us, it wasn't crowded so we were seated right away. The food/drinks didn't disappoint !.. I loved that you could play music in the backyard , I wasn't really a fan of the hookah but everything else was a 10/10.

Clean, staff is great. I would not recommend taking your kids since they allow hookah in there. Still we stayed and finished our delicious food! We got the side table guacamole, Shrimp tacos, chicken tacos and stuffed plantains ( can't remember the name of the dish!!!) we ended our meal with the churros ( I wish they had an option of churros without the raspberries inside) they were still delicious. We tried the frozen pomegranate margarita and mango, for mine I asked for it to be less sweet and they did an amazing job honoring my request. Over all ok!

AMAZING!!!!! First, I would like to slap myself 100 times for not stopping by this place every single weekend I drove by it. Like why have I not stepped foot in there in person? I'm so mad I waited this long. I ordered online today and was NOT disappointed! The corn is soooo good. I opted not to have Chile powder on it due to sensitivity to spice and they respected my request and sent me a nice dressed up corn minus the spicy. I also had the carnitas tostadas and the carnitas was so juicy and flavorful and the tostada arrived nice and crisp. The cheese to meat ratio was just so darn good. The rice and beans were $3.00 each and I received a large portion, I absolutely loved it. The carnita taco was also soooo good with a nice toasty tortilla. There is absolutely nothing to complain about because I loved it all. I'm definitely having happy hour here for sure. I'm so glad I decided to give them a try. If you're second guessing it the way I did, don't, they're worth it.

Delicious Mexican food, I love their guacamole and their drinks. Service has always been friendly and professional. I have eaten here a few times, I enjoyed their quesadillas, tacos and burritos I will be back!

Came here late at night with friends. The chips and salsa cost $5 which is fine, but then the salsa tasted weirdly sweet - think Prego marinara sauce with ketchup in it. I have never tasted salsa like that. I was so hungry I barely cared, but in hindsight I wonder what it was and where it came from. The vegetarian burrito I ordered had good rice, beans and guacamole and was overall decent but I was perplexed by some of the vegetables they put in it, which included things like water chestnuts and whole green beans that were half cooked. The meat options my friends ordered, which were the same price as the veggie ones, seemed better. Service was friendly and attentive.

I was taken here on a date for my bday and it was absolutely HORRIBLE!! Reservations were made but I guess that really didn't matter because she never asked for a name or anything, we sat outside because the inside was to cold. Our waiter sat us and never came back but took another parties order that arrived after us. Once we finally ordered our drinks and food it took forever to come. We ordered chips and salsa and the bowl the salsa came in barley had any salsa in it!!! When the food finally did come they forgot my rice and beans which came with the order, when they finally did bring it out it was ice cold!!!! Two other parties that where there the same time as us also complained about there food and service. I ordered the steak and when it came to my table I was floored at how horrible it looked.Drinks where good that's was it!!

This place made us extremely sick and served us overcooked chicken that was clearly defrosted several times. It immediately upset our stomach and the service was slow and shortstaffed. They also added 20% percent tip on the final bill for a group of 2 people. That is very usual for new york. Do not recommend this place at all!!

Service was horrible. Went here to have dinner with friends. I was the first person to arrive. There was no hostess to seat me. I had to find someone to be seated. Then, I asked if I could sit outside and they said no b/c it's closed. How do you have a closed patio area on a holiday weekend, on a hot summer day?? Once the other party members arrived, one person asked if we can be seated in the patio area and we were seated in the patio area- the supposed "closed" patio area, along with following parties. We later learned there was a party in the patio area the previous night and they hadn't "cleaned it" yet. The patio area seemed just fine for the exception of some confetti on the ground. After our waiter took our drinks and food order, it took at least 30-40 minutes for our drinks to come. Our food came before our drinks. We asked for water, the water came with our drinks- after our food. We later learned our drinks took awhile b/c the frozen drink machine was broken and our drinks were being made in a blender. It would've been nice to be made aware of the reason for the delay. Also, people that were seated after us got their food/drinks before us. The waiter never checked on us - we had to keep getting his attention. We asked for a 2nd round and one of the party members had to go inside to order a second round. We got our drinks much faster. We had a friend drop by to join us. She wanted food so she had to go inside to order her food b/c the waiter didn't check on us. The waiter tried to make up for it by giving us a free shot but then it took him forever to bring the bill and when we got it there was an extra drink on the bill and it needed revision. Customer service needs work. Food/drinks were ok. First & last time to this establishment.

To come in on cinco de Mayo I expected things to be slow but to wait two hrs sit and two hrs to get food is crazy. Then for the steak nachos to come out cold and nasty . The drinks are decent though.

- 2 hour unlimited mimosa/sangria brunch FTW * gotta get there by 2, to get your full 2 hours tho * I arrived there at 230, and lost a half hour, but was able to negotiate - chimichanga was good, but too cheesy - the steak (from steak and eggs could have been better) - it was almost completely empty on a Saturday after noon (at most 6 customers, at any one point, including myself) - reggeaton soundtrack - extensive menu - festive decor - plenty food - good green hot sauce - nice service, was inattentive at times tho

My server Aurelio was top notch. Tried the shrimp and chicken tacos which was flavorful. Chips and salsa had a interestingly sweet flavor but i actually enjoyed the difference in salsa flavor. I tasted the Coconut and mango margaritas which was very flavorful. Tried for a passion fruit margarita and It was sour so i exchanged It for another mango flavored instead which wasn't a big deal to me. Hookah was reasonably priced and good. Definitely a spot I'd return too. Music choices was eclectic from rap to salsa to dancehall.

We were in the area for drinks and were walking around to find a place to grab dinner. We walked in here and made a good decision. My wife had steak tacos and I had chicken tacos. They were quite big and filling. My wife said that she had the best horchata. Good place for a large group as they have a bigger sitting area inside. Service was quick.

This place is the damn jam. They have a back porch seating area that's the die for, AND the happy hour runs all wknd long. We had guacamole (made to your specifications), two entrees, multiple drinks, and dessert. The margs were fantastic (I had peach), the flan was tasty, and the tacos were the bomb. The employees were attentive without hovering. The prices were great. The food was bangin'. I can't say anything else because it's something you should go experience yourself. It doesn't look like it's going to be the best thing you've done all week, but give it a chance. It'll set ya on the right path. The only flaw in this place was the salsa. As a Texan, I'm offended by the pasta sauce flavored stuff they say down on my table and claimed was salsa. That was false and annoying. But I swear that absolutely does not remove anything from the five star experience I had here.

Mexico 2000 is located in the South Williamsburg section of Brooklyn on the busy Broadway strip. I actually went here for the first time last year on a date night just before the pandemic occurred. It was a Thursday I believe and it was quite busy. I do remember the food portions being large, the drinks being really good and the service being on point. I remember having a wonderful experience and that's the reason why I wanted to go back and support, especially in these very trying times for the restaurant industry. Unfortunately my experience the second go round did not match the first. The food and drinks were great just like the first visit. However, the service was dreadful! It was an early Wednesday evening and it wasn't busy whatsoever. There were only three tables (including mine) that had patrons. The server was extremely slow in various areas (with the exception of bringing our frozen margaritas and food to the table). It first started with our request for lemon for our water. The lemon took FOREVER, to the point where I made a comment to my best friend "My God, did they have to go out and find a lemon tree to pick them?" After seeing staff going back and forth past our table numerous times with no lemon in sight I got really annoyed. I believe it wasn't until after a third reminder that we FINALLY received some. We told them we needed just a few minutes to finalize our food orders. A few minutes turned into about 20 minutes. Even at the end of the evening when we asked for the bill that even took an eternity. Ugh! As much as I would have loved to give them a 4 or 5 star rating I just couldn't. Based on the service alone it wasn't deserved. They truly need to work on their attentiveness to patrons, especially during these difficult times for this industry. I will give them high marks for the delicious food, incredible drinks and their beautiful, spacious and clean interior.

Awful experience. Took forever to get our drinks and chips. Waitress was not friendly, never asked how we were doing. Food was mediocre, salsa tasted like tomato soup. Sopes were awful. Expensive and tasteless.

Stopped by last night on a whim because they had a table open in their outdoor seating area and WOW so happy to have stumbled across this place. Some of the best Mexican in the neighborhood for sure. First off- the drinks are amazing. Got a passionfruit margarita and also tried the red sangria and both were not only delicious but super pretty! As for the food, definitely recommend the nachos to start! We got steak and they were perfectly balanced and also perfectly sized as an app. We also got the fajitas (which are delish and a really good deal) and a tinga burrito. I was pleasantly surprised the burrito was wet. Super yummy. The service was also great! Super friendly and nice, and they let us sit with out little dogs in the enclosure. Definitely will be back here - maybe even tonight!

Went here on a Friday & had a good time sat at the bar I had the shrimp empanada & I had 2 margaritas which was good..they also have hookah..everything was good the food,drink,hookah the staff was also cool I shall return

Got some takeout from here. Ordered a few quesadillas. They were a little on the dry side. Needed more cheese. But they were filling. And we were hungry. I've had better.

The food was fine but the service was the main problem we were attended/ checked on maybe 3 times total for the hour and half there not including when food was brought and it was uncomfortable to see the waiter standing nearby watching us after getting the check as if we planned on running and even though it was not stated on the menu there is a mandatory 18% gratuity for parties under 4-5 even though it was not earned. And frozen drink ordered was just not drinkable after trying to sip it nothing would come out because of how frozen it is and even after mixing it so much that it would spill it would still be too frozen to drink.Will not be returning to such a bad establishment.

Nice place for cold drinks and margaritas. My friend and I have an appointment around the are and we want to chill out in someplace before. So I look on yelp and find this place. I actually came to this place long ago but today it was very nice and I love the garnish of the drink. We have grilled corn and steak with mushrooms. The price is good and I definitely will come back some time

A literal hidden gem. We were looking for a new bottomless brunch spot since Dzuipla closed and lo and behold, paradise. Amazing food, attentive service, and delicious drinks. Best brunch in Williamsburg.

Oh man. The vegetable burrito was full of raw green potatoes and PICKLES. the second I took a bite into it, i gagged. It was putrid. They agreed to refund which was the right thing to do. But WHO MADE/WRAPPED THIS THING? unreal

gross food. i asked for no jalapeños and they still dumped them on top. they use shredded cheese from the supermarket. i still have a stomachache 24 hrs later

I had dined here once before for a taco and margarita fix. I found the food and (more importantly) the margaritas to be very reasonably priced and delicious. So why the two stars? On cinco de mayo, I stopped in around lunchtime (1:30ish) to treat myself to a taco and a margarita. The restaurant had special menu with "special" prices. And by "special", I mean SUPER pricey. ONE small taco was five bucks!! Aren't the tacos normally $2.50? Since I was starving, I asked for a side of beans and rice but the waiter had to check to see if the kitchen had it. Because of the special menu, many normal items were not being offered. Come on! What Mexican restaurant does not have beans and rice on a menu?!!! I get because of Cinco de Mayo the owner(s) was/were trying to maximize profit for the "holiday". But geez Louise I will say that for 12 bucks the cilantro margarita was decent. For 21 bucks, I had one margarita, ONE small taco, and a side of lukewarm beans and rice. Maybe I will come back on a regular day for regular prices.

Good food! Great service! Great portions! No frills. The seafood soup, mixed chicken and shrimp fajitas was yummy. The seafood soup was also tasty.

Polite, but distracted service when the place wasn't even busy. The food was decent, but that's the best I can say. Dried out chicken in a small order of chicken nachos. The place was bleak, not just because it's under the elevated subway that casts a shadow. Pricing was higher on the bill than in the menu on each item, which annoyed me, but I decided to leave it be. I also determined that I won't be returning. Too many good alternatives around; seek them out.

Brunch at Mexico 200 was amazing. Unlimited Rum punch with breakfast burrito . Everything was amazing. Not crowded around 2pm on a Saturday.

I love this place. I've eaten there and also had the delivery. Eating there: we were seated right away. Service was very friendly. Margaritas were really good. Food was affordable and yummy. I made a meat/chess substitution to go vegetarian and it wasn't a problem. Re: delivery. I ordered through Yelp which was ridiculously easy. I was impressed that the other came 10 minutes earlier than expected and again, there wasn't a problem with the substitution I made. For delivery, the presentation was beautiful. As a lover of Tex mex, I adore the cheese enchiladas with red sauce.

Good fresh Mexican food! Their margaritas are really good too and only $6 during happy hour 4-8pm! They also have a happy hour deal but only at the bar- 3 tacos plus 1 margarita for $15 or 3 tacos and 2 beer for $12...again this is only offered if your sitting at the bar. Their guacamole is really fresh n the chips are good...taste kinda homemade. Their tacos are $3.50 during happy hour...$3.75 for "super tacos" (lettuce, cheese, n sour cream added). The spicy pork taco was really flavorful but the shrimp 1 was a little bland. We also ordered the corn...waste of money...it was not tasty at all and def not the typical Mexican street style corn flavor. I think it might have been the cheese they used. Service was pretty decent too. We got there pretty soon after happy hour started so it was only 3 parties total including us in there n 1 person at the bar. I'll definitely be back
