Mexico Lindo - Review - East Passyunk - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"This Mexican BYOB in South Philly doesn’t look like a whole lot, but they serve some of our favorite (and cheapest) tacos and quesadillas. Come armed with cash and tequila (or anything else you’d like to mix with the Mexican Cokes). You’ll all probably spend less than you thought possible for dinner, which is an added bonus considering how close you are to the bars along East Passyunk." - Jordan Price

Went in on a rainy, quiet night where we sat for two in anticipation of something authentic and fresh. Well nothing short of that, I promise. Two dudes: the one who took the order and the other who cooked the food. Simple decor and you could smell, almost taste the food while it was cooking. Needless to say it’s intimate. Got the guacamole, Birra and enchiladas. I couldn’t find anything wrong with it other than I would’ve been a glutton and could have eaten more. I’ll save my appetite for next time. CASH ONLY

Found this small place online. The portions were fair and everything was tasty and filling. We ordered the birria tacos which had a solid amount of filling. We also got the carne asada and carnitas which came with a side of corn tortillas. The carne asada was very well seasoned. Lastly, we also got the enchiladas in the red sauce because we were told it was spicy and wow, it was great! Probably our favorite among the dishes but they were all delicious. The horchata is extremely refreshing. The service was good and the place is simple and clean. Will definitely go again. The place is cash only.

Had an absolutely wonderful week day lunch. We chose this spot on a whim given proximity and this was legit the best dining experience I’ve had in quite some time. The attentive service we received was what I would expect from a fine dining restaurant. The food was excellent. The portions were large. The cost was more than fair. I more than recommend coming here.

Great hole in the wall resturant! It's much nicer on the inside than the outside. Heads up, most of the workers speak spanish primarily, so ask for an englush speaker if you call. They are also cash only, but they do have an atm. The food was amazing. The green sauce was really spicy, it tore up my guts. Definitely reccomend the barria tacos.

Great food and friendly service. I eat a mostly vegetarian diet but occasionally eat meat on special occasions or when I get to try new cultural foods. I have been hearing about tacos de birria for some time and finally had them here. They were delicious, as promised. My wife enjoyed the chilaquiles.

Fire Tacos! I had the chicken tacos and added cheese with salsa on the side. The salsa definitely had a kick to it, and I enjoyed every bite. We shared a side of fries as well. Along with the pineapple flavored jarritos drink. The establishment is intimate and unique.

A very friendly local Mexican restaurant that will provide good service and very good food at a low price. As far as I can tell everything tasted very fresh, the place was very clean, the service was good and the staff was kind and attentive. I would very much recommend this place to anyone looking for more local authentic style Mexican food.
