Mexico Taqueria

I am sadden to say this place isn't like it used to be. I used to think they had the most flavorful tender beef fajitas but that's not the case anymore. They are tough, burnt, and have no flavor. Their nacho chips are stale. Their beef enchiladas used to be good too but they are dry and flavorless, as well. Their chalupa barely has beans and way too much cheddar cheese. Their chalupa shell is stale. The crispy taco taste like grease. We went right when lunch time was beginning so everything should have been fresh. Their starter of chips and salsa isn't good as well. The salsa is the salsa they put on huevos rancheros. Very disappointing.

Good food. I haven't been inside only through the drive through so expect a atmosphere rating change eventually more then likey. I got the bean and chorizo tacos. Something simple and they are good. I tried them first without adding anything of course.

I am so happy and relieved that you guys are open again! Since you had to close the doors I have been on a mission to find a new Mexican restaurant. Out of the 6 different restaurants I tried no one could compare to the food and service I get here. Your food and salsa are delicious and I'm so happy that I have my favorite place back!!

They have 3 tacos of the same kind for $4.99 between 6am and 11am (i believe those are the hours for that deal). Can't beat that! Plus they are really good and home made tortillas. Very fast service too.

Food was great. Service was with a smile and we were seated within minutes of arrival. However, all of our party was not served their plate at the same time and we waited quite a bit of time for the last dish to arrive.

To drink i got horchata 10/10 ,got the hamburger 10/10 even tho my fries where not hot I ate them fast as possible before they got cold,the waiter that served me was nice but he did forget one plate which it's fine since we all make mistakes and forget stuff so not mad at him because he was a good waiter, will for sure come back with more people next time.

It's a good place, the service was great, didn't take a long time to get to food after ordering, the price for the amount of food they give you is very fair

I am here like twice a week. The food is good and the wait staff is awesome. And with a hard economy. They have some awesome breakfast deals and lunch also.

Service was very attentive. Sweet staff. I can't remember the name of what I ordered...it was a plate. But it's carne guisada with a cheese enchilada. Soooo good and flavorful. I pass by this place all the time for work. So I will definitely be back.

Love this place! Frequently visit and the waitresses are very attentive. The food and drinks are good. Good portion sizes. Really like the atmosphere.

It's very very rare I hand out a 1 star review unless the food made us sick.... Here is the rare occasion where the food was sooo bad, it spoke for itself. When the qoute of the day was, "we should've gone to bill millers next door" that is the sum of our lunch experience. Nothing will ruin a beautiful church sermon ever, but dang if this establishment didn't put a damper on our day. The midget ordered enchilada plate, the misses had the shrimp fajitas, and I had the chicken/beef/shrimp fajitas.. there is nothing positive to say. First my son said his enchiladas didn't even taste melted. He loves them, but for him to give a thumbs down..... I always try to be nice, as much as I can, but I'm so upset this place has a 4 star review on google. It's either employees, friends, or family of the restaurant that are voting! Shame on you all! The beans were still hard yet manage to taste slightly burned at the same time! We asked for all corn tortillas, and they brought us mostly flour. I asked for sausage and chorizo as an extra on my parillada, and they got the sausage right, but then in the most perplexing thing, brought me a bowl of half cooked chorizo?!!! The fajitas in the misses plate, were COMPLETELY different than mine! Like different meats. The chicken, looked like a slice of the chicken you get at heb in the DELI dept. The skewer on top was edible. I have some kitchen experience, and was a private chef for a spell. I KNOW the taste of an unclean top used to cook meat. This reeked of a dirty cook top! Save yourself money, your tastes buds, and your sanity. Just drive down the street to the amazing hole in the wall taqueria Jalisco in the shopping center on five palms. It's like two different worlds. If you value my opinion at all, don't come here!!! Heck even the service was semi bad. You ever see what it looks like when people look busy, yet not really accomplishing anything, this is it!!!

Firstly, Maria, our server, provided top-notch customer service. The food was delicious, and we felt thoroughly comfortable, much like we were in our own kitchen.

how are you going to advertise chicken fajita as breast and then serve reheated chicken thighs!!

Visited San Antonio recently and this was my favorite spot we ate at. We stopped by for a late breakfast/early lunch and it wasn't too busy. Our server was great, he was so attentive and got us everything we needed right off the bat. I ordered the tostadas norteñas (pictured) and it came with a cup of charro beans, guac and sour cream (not pictured) all for $8.99!! Such a good deal for the amount of food. I went for the carne asada as my meat and it was so tender, juicy and flavorful. Since we went for lunch we didn't have a chance to enjoy a drink but I've been told that in the evening it's more lively with music and mariachis. Next time I visit SA I'll be coming back + recommending this place to anyone who visits!

If I could give zero stars I would . This was the caldo de pollo LARGE . I didn't even get a potato , a carrot ..who the heck even puts bell pepper and a whole tomato in caldo de pollo ??? It was beyond me . So disgusting . Like they gave me a chicken wing for the pollo . DISGUSTING . Tasted like chicken knor & parsley seasoning .

My husband enjoys the carne Guisada tacos. My parents enjoy the chicharrones with Chile tacos.

Caldo de pollo 6/10 Barbacoa 6/10 Rice 6/10 Homemade corn tortillas 7/10 I dropped off my vehicle for service at Northpark Toyota. My wife and I stopped by while we waited. The caldo had large chunks of bell pepper, carrots, onions, celery and squash. The broth had a different vegetable flavor because of the bell pepper and celery. It was not bad at all. The barbacoa had very good texture and good flavor. The homemade corn tortilla pairs perfectly to enhance the flavor of the barbacoa.

Music was fun and the singing was alright, but if you want actual Mexican food that tastes good and has flavor, don't come here, pretty sure this is just some money laundering restaurant lol

The manager just wants to send his employees to do a thousand things at once and they don't even get pay well. The food is not so good.

Walked in and walked right out. As my husband and I walked straight through the front door, the waitress was standing there, facing the door, rubbing her with nose with her hands, and stuck a tissue in her pocket that she had in the other. Not a good way to greet your customers.

Their tortilla soup was on point today. They put plenty of meat in it and it was very good. It's a must try if you're wanting something warm.

I ordered two carne asada burritos, but lady that took the order put it down for two asada burritos. Once we arrived at the window to pay, she didn't want to fix her mistake and wanted to charge us for guisada burritos instead of fixing the order. Her customer service skills were poor, she kept rolling her eyes. We decided to take our business else where.

Sometimes the food is OK, but most of the time they do not get your order, right. The drive-through is the worst but by time you get home, you're starving so you just eat it even though you're disappointed. Today I asked if the Barbacoa was all meat I was told yes, clearly it isn't. Also, the avocado I paid for, was not on my taco. The phone number on the receipt goes to a voicemail box that does not accept calls. Why do I come here?!?

Service was great. Food tasted amazing! The comments make you second guess but we really liked the food.

Usually I stop in this place as much as I can; last time (Friday) did get the brisket plate, HORRIBLE, can't belive people were eating this plate Service Food Price.

Service is good but food sucks. They serve breakfast tacos cold and tortillas are super hard. Been there a few times and my orders get mixed up. Never again

My family and I decided to try this restaurant out for the first time. We went inside and unfortunately it was some sort of DJ Karaoke night. The music was so loud that we just wanted to hurry up and get out. The food was ok, nothing special. When I got the bill it had an extra plate on it that we never ordered. So I went to the booth where you pay and the lady rolled her eyes when i told her about being over charged. She made me feel like i was in the wrong. She never once apologized for the mistake. Then to top it off, we asked for some "to go" containers for our left over food. They charged us for them on our bill. I brought it up to the manager who i must say was a very nice man, but his answer to me was "sorry i can't do anything about it, the owners are the ones who decided to charge for the containers" I have never ever been in my life been charged for "to go containers at a restaurant" Save your money and your time and avoid this place.

Don't waste your time nor money here. They mess up almost every single time. Whether you order over the phone or in person. Today they repeated my order correctly and still got everything wrong. Beyond frustrating. How can you mess up almost all the time???

They are overpriced plus a service charge for credit card. Food is ok but not all that great.

I want to give more stars so bad but too many rough experiences. My latest visit I was craving Caldo De Res. Unfortunately there was limited meat, tons of fat and tendons and sub par veggies. The last time I went there the cheese tasted like Fabuloso. I knew I should have stayed away but it's just where we ended up since our usual spot was closed at the time we went here...

Off the side of the highway so you can't miss it, they have karaoke on specific days which is cool, drink specials as well as dinner specials and helpful staff. Food is pretty good the times I've been going always fresh and no problems, stop by and try this place out when you're in the area.

This was awesome! Seriously the best Mexican food I've had in awhile. My husband got two carne asada burritos and was THRILLED with them. I had the #20, I didn't eat the salad but the enchiladas were great. The salsa that came with it was great, just the right spice. The drive through menu was difficult to read, but I was still able to figure out what I wanted. Great place.

Good food! poor service at drive thru! Messed my food up, I called they said keep receipt I did and when I went back they said oh it's only a week! How come when I called they didn't say that I even told them I don't live in San Antonio Texas! She said it was fine and assured me I would get my food! Sunday I had an apt and came to get my tacos and had the largest issue. We explained and no one knew what was happening and I explained it and they couldn't get it so once you make my husband get loud that's it he is always quiet and nice and she threatened the cops! Girl you have not one clue what I do for a living you could call them but they would've laughed right at you!! Thanks for the free food but never again going to that unwelcoming tacky place.

Food tasted old. I ordered steak and eggs (picture of menu had a T-bone) but I got a very dry thin seven steak. Eggs has a oily taste. Beans tasted like from a can, metallic taste. The Lemonade OMG it was the absolute WORST IVE EVER HAD, and I'm 37 !! Not only did it taste like old lemons but had a after taste of dirty soap water which is the best way I can describe it. Please DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME !!!

Sorry, I ordered a Shrimp Cocktail and it was contaminated with a piece of plastic which I bit into. Not very comforting. When I mentioned it to the manager, he made very little effort to assess the situation. And to top it off we still paid full price for our meal and left the tip for the waitress, she had nothing to do with the situation. Rate this place a 1 for sanitation and poor management.

I usually order tacos at the drive thru every time I come home to eat them . It's like I'm only eating tortilla they are very skimpy on their food the carne guisada only has four to five pieces of meat their potatoe and egg only has a few potatoes in other words their tacos sucks I've been to other Mexican restaurant and their tacos are a lot better than this place.

Menudo taste like they put spaghetti sauce and when they got my husbands order wrong they didn't want to take it back and give him something different. Normally this restaurant is good maybe just weekends and nights. I came for Tuesday lunch and it sucked balls

if you like getting ripped off come here, they charged me 10 dollars for 2 tacos and a drink

If you like waffles, these are the best waffles in San Antonio. Worth a try. The food is good and the wait staff are professional.

I will never, ever return here. Extremely disappointed with management and poor customer service. I am beyond upset. I would like a number to call and formally complain. They were extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. My family and I have been there a few times, but we will never go back.

Love it (again!). Great drinks, lived and onions. Staff speaks better English now but still very authentic.

All was really great. The natural flavored water, the "parrillada", the michelada, the margarita, excellent service, great food I really felt as in Mexico. Everything was amazing, it's totally recommended.

I am new to the area and did not know where to go for breakfast tacos. Found this place online and realized they were starting a delivery service the same day. I live very close and simply did not feel like driving at 8am. I placed my order via text and got my food 20 min later. I was not disappointed with the tacos or the service. Very convenient and the driver was very nice.

Worst service ever. First off they hardly speak English, but I can get past that , I speak Spanish. So I order via drive thru and I ordered 8 tacos. I pull up to the window and the lady confirms my order. I tell her that order she is telling me is wrong then she grabs another worker and the worker starts fighting with me about what I ordered! I told them to forget it and was going to leave and the First worker came back and assured me that she'd correct the order. Well... the tacos were decent but had hardly any egg or barbacoa. Plus, it was still wrong and they shorted us 2 tacos. I wouldn't trust it there especially after that worker was yelling at me. Go spend your money somewhere they will treat you right, give you a correct order and serve you an actual taco.

I ordered a Texas plate which comes with Carnequisada. It looked old like if it was meat that has been there for a few days parts of it was hard. When we sent the food back the manager said he would not take the food back because it was wasting it. He offered me a free enchilada so I took it. However when we got to the register they charged us for both the plate and the enchilada. Worst customer service ever. Never going there again

The food is great, when they get your order right. I usually have to repeat my order multiple times even when they sent one of the staff out in person to place the order. On multiple occasions I have gone through the drive thru to order. I usually get 2 bacon egg and cheese or two country egg and cheese. Which the first couple times they got it wrong I said oh well it's fine mistakes happen. And just started checking the the food before I leave. Yesterday I did not have time to check and just left after ordering two country egg and cheeise tacos. Which usually only cost me $2 something plus change (which is why I normally don't mind the fuck up, it's cheap). I got to work for a 14hr shift. Sit down to eat my tacos and there's no egg which I was also charged $5 and change for ... Today I went through and said I'll just order two bacon egg and cheese for me and two bacon egg and cheese with sour creams for my husband. Repeat my order 4 times to a staff in person and she repeats it back correctly. I hand over my $5 and rush again to my next 14hr shift. Half way I go to give my husband his two and guess what, no sour creme and only 3 tacos. Granted they only rang me up for the 3 so I said whatever but bet they charged me for the sour creme I didn't get. I call to ask to speak to the manager and he's apparently too busy to come to the phone. But I hear the lady who answered talking to him in the background. So I also let her know about yesterday. Mind u I'm now on the nw side of town. His answer to her was u have credit for the sour creme u didn't get. Ok wtf by the time my husband gets to that side of town again the tacos r going to be cold. Guess my husband will be eating two scoups/packs of sour creme for breakfast.

I frequently eat at this restaurant. We have 4 taqueria's within a mile of this one and this is favorite. The food and service is always great. From something as small as a taco to a fajita plate I have never been disappointed. The severs act as a team to get food out while it is still hot, if that means another waitress has to bring they will. We've had large groups be seated and the same great service. I am moving soon and I'm going to miss their breakfast tacos.

Been here a few times only because my mom always claims that it's so good! Nope!!! I spent over $20 on an order to go. When I we got to the car I realized they didn't give my orange juice. Went back in to get it, which wasn't ready, after 15 minutes of waiting. When we got home, orderd a variety of tacos for the family and ordered caldo for myself. In my caldo was zero meat!!!! Long strands of fat and large slices of vegetables, no potatoes either. Worst place to go!!!

My favorite Mexican food in San Antonio. Picadillo is great, enchiladas are delicious. Beans and rice are authentic and flavorful. Love it!

Bomb place if you want Mexican food try out all the Mexico taquerias there's 3 in San Antonio they also sell beer and margaritas

I mostly post to complain but this place, there is nothing to complain about. Wife and I were waiting for our son to get back from a track meet so we stopped in late one evening about 8pm. I was really suprised. Sat us down promptly, service came soon after (waiter was great). Food excellent, it seemed like they took a lot of effort for the food, many tastly little extras. Real chili on our enchiladas. The food that was passing up by, i was having food envy. I was also suprise they had dinner specials with tea. Overall it was a great experience. I definetly will be back. thanks

My family and I have been eating at this restaurant since it's opened. As of lately, the food has been horrible! The corn tortillas taste store bought, the beans started tasting like they were from a can, and the portions have gotten smaller, but prices have gotten bigger. I ordered a bean and cheese taco this morning, and the beans were still hard! (At least it proves the beans are fresh) I do not know what is going on now, but I really doubt I will be going to this place anymore. $15 for 6 breakfast tacos?! Just because it was after 12:00pm?! I remember when their breakfast taco special would last until 2:00pm! The owners have gotten greedy.
