Was walking along Eg West looking for a quick bite and was drawn in by the vibe Mixology had from what I could see from the outside. It seemed like something that belonged downtown which felt kinda nice to find up on Eglinton. They were closing down for the night so it was pretty quiet. I spoke to the guy behind the counter and he helped me decide on quasidilla pastor.
I'll be so honest, I've never had anything like this. So much flavour with each bite. I'm so used to Mexican food in this part of town being dry and tasteless. I'm so happy that I now have a great option close to home. I still love Taco Fuego down the street, but it's a completely different style of Mexican food. I learned that Mexology is Mexico City style food, where as Fuego is more of a northern style restaurant.
Looking forward to going back and trying something new. If you're looking for a refreshing take on authentic Mexican food in the neighbourhood, do yourself a favour and check this place out.
