visited Mezban in Houston for the first time after a friend recommended it, especially for their malai boti. While it wasn’t part of the buffet that day, the store manager went the extra mile and had it made fresh just for me, which I really appreciated.
This place is a solid, affordable buffet experience. The service stood out the most. Every staff member was incredibly sweet, kind, and accommodating. If anything wasn’t fresh or warm, they had no problem preparing a fresh batch upon request.
The buffet had a wide range of options
Appetizers like pani puri, chicken club sandwiches, and even baba ghanoush
Soups and salads for those who like to start light. Main dishes including fried, BBQ, and grilled meat, chicken, fish, Naan made fresh to order. Chicken biryani and butter chicken both flavorful and satisfying.
Desserts (two desi options) and karak chai to finish the meal.
Highlights for me were the malai boti, chicken tandoori, and butter chicken. The pani puri lacked a bit of flavor, but everything else was decent overall. You can also order à la carte if you prefer non-buffet items.
Bonus: They offer a wide variety of drinks and the seating area is spacious.
Definitely worth checking out, especially if you're craving South Asian comfort food in a casual, welcoming environment.
