The 18 Best Restaurants & Bars In Puerto Vallarta - Puerto Vallarta - The Infatuation

"Mezcal y Sal is a Mexican-tile-filled bar in Olas Atlas that makes delicious cocktails and has a surprisingly great plant-based food menu. Try the flower pot de platano macho, which is a plate of plantains covered with mole and drizzled with sour cream, hibiscus-marinated tacos, or the tetelas with oyster mushrooms al pastor. Basically everything here is meant to be shared, and it’s a fun place to hang out, sip some cocktails that might come in a vase, and have a full meal." - debora mestre

My husband and I had an amazing dinner here the other night! The drinks were creative, food was delicious, our server was attentive, and the vibe was so fun. Will definitely go again. Also, don’t be like the awful Americans who reserved a table for 10, arrived, and then left without paying for anything. It’s tacky and not a good look!

We found out that the owners are actually vegetarian and wanted to make sure there’s a space where people felt invited and had options to eat, so such a blessing. The food was great and very well presented. They were so amazing with explaining things and making sure we were comfortable with everything. Absolute delight and would defo visit again!

Very cute & upscale little spot! Drinks were tasty, 3 of the 4 we tried were amazing. The presentation is a little dramatic but fun. All the snacks we tried were good, and a few were great. Overall a wonderful little spot that I would happily visit again!

Coming from San Francisco, it’s not like we don’t know good food. This was one of the most special meals that we’ve had in ages. Food? Special. Cocktails? Special. Mocktails for the kids … literally unbelievable. Service? Special. The kitchen and bar are artisans, and meanwhile they treated our kids like royalty. I honestly can’t rate this place highly enough. And it’s soooo reasonable for what you get. Mushroom barbacoa. Tlayuda de camarones. Al pastor and steak tacos on blue corn tortillas. Guacamoles (4) and chapulinas. Cauliflower balls with salsa de macha. We will be returning before our trip is over for sure. The cocktails alone, with incredible artistry in their presentation, are worth the price of admission. 10/10, minds blown, would recommend to anyone.

Hi hello, where is Michelin? Get these people a Michelin star STAT. Foodie here, been to some of the best restaurants around the world, I have the utmost confidence that this place deserves hype. Attention to detail, flavors bonanza, spicy? Smoky? Umami? Sweet? They have it all. Don’t eat meat? Don’t fret there are more vegetarian dishes than carnivorous ones! So many unique twists on Mexican cuisines and flavor profiles. Congratulations to the chef and this team which is super attentive, friendly and their staff knows the menu very well. To top it all off it’s a romantic and modern space with plenty of spectacular plating and cocktail presentation ideas for years to come. 12/10

The cocktails are definitely eye catching and an Instagram dream. The food was good as well with some different unique combos but small portions for the price compared to other nearby restaurants. Worth checking out if you want a great looking cocktail but it is over priced and overhyped. The service was great, they were very friendly and had great knowledge and recommendations for the area.

Man this place was so different in a good way. Our experience here was very good we showed up without a reservation and put wait time was still not bad of a wait. They specialize in making beautiful traditional dishes. They also have a nice selection of Mezcal. Definitely hit this place up for a different dining experience.
