"Mezcal Mexican Bar & Kitchen is Ferndale’s newest option for tacos, ushering in a much-needed boost to Oakland County’s Mexican food world. While the bar emphasizes 30 different types of agave spirits, the spot also features an impressive lineup of tacos, including birria, fish, campechano (a blend of chorizo and carne asada), and alambre — with bacon, chorizo, melted cheese, and choice of chicken or steak." - Serena Maria Daniels

I went in the beginning of the day, so the atmosphere wasn’t there yet they were still doing silverware roll ups and those type of things to get the day started. They have a very decent tequila selection so may be a little over. Price considered premium when it’s just a regular tequila I ordered the Paloma. It was a very tasty one, but the start of the show with the taco thing since fireworks off in your mouth highly recommend visit this establishment just for that taco along. It is a must have.

Google
This was an excellent dining experience. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful when navigating the menus and in small talk. I had an Ouhakan old-fashioned and it was fantastic. We shared chips and a trio of dips to go with a California and a Traditional burrito. Both were delicious and huge. These burritos are big. Decor and atmosphere were awesome as well. We will definitely be back

I met with a friend for drinks. We had margaritas and churro’s, and the presentation and flavor left me wanting more! I’m looking forward to returning for date night to taste more of the menu.

Google
Classy, Very clean, friendly and very attentive staff. Food was authentic and absolutely amazing! Actually my favorite Mexican restaurant I've ever been to in the US; No joke and we've been to ALOT coast to coast. We loved everything and will definitely be back again very soon. If your in the area do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some amazing food and drinks that you won't soon forget!

Google
The stellar service began as soon as I entered with a warm greeting from the friendly hostess. From there, the bartender was amazing. Phenomenal in the manager is top notch. The food is flavorful and is definitely worth the trip no matter where you're coming from. The endless amount of tequila and mezcal... You will not be disappointed. From the craft cocktails from or to the flights to try the different mezcals, there is something for everyone. Can't wait to go back!

Google
Nice atmosphere and good food. They add a mandatory 20% gratuity on every bill over $100, which in this case was okay because our waitress was great. However, this isn't a business practice I fully agree with. What if the service was bad?

Google
A few friends of mine and myself grabbed dinner there on a Thursday night. We were seated quickly and immediately attended to. Our server was great! He was able to answer questions about the dishes and the types of tequila they have. I had a margarita and it was delicious. We got chips and salsa to start and there were a few different types of salsa to have and all were great. Our food came out very fast. I had gotten a quesadilla and it was awesome! Would definitely come back.

Best churros ever! California burrito is also to die for. Highly recommended! Here's an idea for dinner and a movie date: go to the Ferndale library and pick up a movie that seems interesting and head across the street to Mezcal for dinner and drinks before going home and watching the movie! Their fresh margaritas done up spicy is SO GOOD. They taste so fresh and clean, with a little bit of spicy salt around the rim. The California burrito is the best burrito in my opinion. The rice is so fluffy and soft and the meat is seasoned so well. If you don't know what to get, the California burrito would be my choice! Save some room for the churros. They are so worth it! They come with a caramel sauce that accents the cinnamon so well. It also can come with a strawberry sauce but, although it was close, the caramel sauce was the clear winner for us. The atmosphere here is stellar too. They have awesome paintings of luchadors enjoying drinks next to classic cars. There's luchador masks up and blue demon movie posters. Maybe that can be one of the next movies you watch! Everyone was super friendly and attentive, and the service was excellent. You won't find better people in the restaurant industry. Overall, highly recommend if you are in the area. They also cater on Cinco de mayo! Stop by! You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
What a cute small restaurant!! I was seated outside, where I can feel the nice breeze, listen to Latino music, and people watch I first ordered my margarita which was delicious! The buffalo fries were equally great as well. Just the right amount of sauce and chicken bites on top of the fries. As of the Quesabrilla. It was delicious, if it just had a tad more meat would've been perfect!
google avatar

Becki W.

Yelp
The ambiance was ok, a nice place to grab a drink but the food in my opinion was just meh, especially for the price. I had a margarita and it was good, my friend had a Paloma, also good. Service was very good and knowledgeable.
google avatar

Yelp
It's a quaint cute spot. Not a space for big groups but a nice place for 2 - 4 people to catch up over some drinks and food. I had a keto taco which was good and fulfilling. I also tried the soup. It was alright. Got the quesabirra quesadilla and it was tasty. My friend had the taco salad and liked it. If I had to complain....the chips and salsa aren't complimentary.

Yelp
Great lunch spot. It will be even better when patio weather returns! The nachos are excellent, especially the guacamole. Perhaps the chips could have been a bit bigger and thicker? Iwill definitely order them again. Ditto for the chorizo tacos. It is nice to find a kitchen that is not afraid of appropriately using spices. Great space. Fantastic service. Love the easy check-out using QRcodes and ApplePay. The music volume was a teenie bit too loud and it was a bit difficult for my olde ears to hear my lunch companion. I will certainly return.

Yelp
Really loved this place for a casual, yummy dinner! All the food was great and very reasonable priced. The queso was fantastic and I recommend the birria tacos!

Luree B.

Yelp
I know understand why they were the 2023 Taco champion! They have some fantastic tacos. The outdoor patio is cozy for a summer afternoon margaritas and tacos. All of the servers were nice. I will def be back this summer!

Yelp
First time coming here and it did not disappoint. I came with three friends on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. The waitress was incredibly friendly and did a great job. The inside is kind of small but it is decorated nicely. I loved the music! I feel like most Mexican restaurants play mariachi music but this place had on Spanish pop music and I was here for it. All of us wanted to dance. I ordered a California burrito, a margarita, and chips and salsa and queso. I enjoyed all of it. My friends had different types of tacos and they all enjoyed their food- especially my friend that got the fish tacos. She thought they were phenomenal. They all got drinks that they enjoyed. The prices were reasonable. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. Overall really enjoyed this experience and will definitely return in the future.

Yelp
The food was decent. The customer service wasn't really good. More than likely won't ever come back.

Yelp
Best birria tacos ever. Chips were good. Ambiance was not to my personal liking but food was incredible.

Yelp
I came here twice before I posted a negtive review. Both times was just not good. Service: both times the server was just inattentive. It wasn't busy at all. Drinks: Really expensive and tiny. Just OK. Nothing special about the margaritias. Food: Nothing particulalry tasty and very pricey for what you get. Not coming a third time.

Yelp
Mezcal is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to in a long time. I had the mezcal , shrimp, and chicken Tacos. The food was really good. Our waitress was nice. We visited early afternoon and it wasn't too busy. It's a nice place to enjoy a beautiful day on and outdoor patio to eat.
google avatar

Yvonne W.

Yelp
Great authentic Mexican food! My family loved it! We celebrated my grand daughter's 15th birthday! Good service and cute decor made it feel real cozy for 20 people.
google avatar

Shae N.

Yelp
Looooove this place and it's a go to for a quick lunch. For how small the restaurant is there is quite a bit of seating. Imperial used to be the place to go for tacos in Ferndale but since Mezcal opened I've only gone here. I enjoy that Mezcal has more options besides just tacos as well. My coworker and typically each get a tostada and then the Quesabirria to split. House margaritas are also very tasty! I have tried the Mezcal Burrito and although the flavors are great the short rib is way too tough. I wish this was more tender and then the burrito would be perfect. Service has always been good and food comes out quickly. The waitress usually remembers us when we stop in which is nice but also shows how much we come here.
google avatar

Bonnie N.

Yelp
Best Churros ever, highly recommend. Chicken street tacos are good so are the veggie tacos.
google avatar

Brian H.

Yelp
First time trying Mezcal. My wife and I always drive by it so we wanted to try it out. Service was amazing, our waiter Alejandro is the best! Food is delicious taco bowl and tacos are worth the price! We'll definitely be coming back.
google avatar

Dawn V.

Yelp
The Mezcal Sour cocktail = 10 stars!!! (See pic) Sadly, it was a monthly special so isn't available on their menu :(. This cocktail would bring me back often so hoping they make it permanent Solid fish and shrimp tacos- I'd order one of each again We had the cutest waiter- couldn't understand a word he said but the sweetest man
google avatar

Hasan I.

Yelp
Our bartender was so nice and has great recommendations! He was so attentive to our needs and even spoke with me while my date went to the bathroom! The food was too good, I can't wait to eat here again. Believe it or not, the high tops at the bar were perfect to eat my burrito . It does get busy so definitely be ready for a wait but the bar is FCFS!
google avatar

Yelp
Birria tacos are really good and come in good portions. I wasn't a fan of the empanada, it was okay but not as great as an authentic Colombian empanada, it also had some wierd mayonnaise taste like dressing on top which I wasn't a fan. Cheesecake is a big portion well garnished with fruit and jelly all over the place, it's a pretty tasty looking dessert but I personally hoped it was a little bit on the sweeter side, if you're not a fan of very sweet desserts, then you'll love this. Great employees and not busy at all on a weekday which allowed me to get a nice parking spot out front. It is a nice decorated restaurant with a great atmosphere for sure, all Peso Pluma music in the background not so much lol.
google avatar

Matthew N.

Yelp
Food Service Atmosphere were all over the top. Great Drink Assortment. Ate the Tacos and had their Delicious Churos for Dessert.
google avatar

DeMario M.

Yelp
So I actually had these tacos at the Royal Oak taco festival. Had the Birria tacos - OMG! They were so good and flavorful. The line for the food truck was pretty swift as well. Now that I know they actually have a physical location. I would definitely try them out again.

Yelp
I debated between 3 and 4 stars and ultimately settled on 3, but being born and raised in Mexico, I'm admittedly picky about Mexican restaurants. The street tacos were alright -- the meats were good but the tortillas didn't taste fresh and the salsa was the lame tomato-based kind, as opposed to a spicy, fresh tomatillo-based salsa. I think I saw other salsas on other tables, but our server didn't come near our table in the side room for a solid 25 min. after she dropped off our food, so I finished my tacos before I could ask about them. Drinks were okay but overpriced. Service was very slow but it was a busy Saturday night and they seemed understaffed, so that may not be typical. I'd probably eat here again, but someone else would have to suggest it. Didn't love it, didn't hate it.
google avatar

Tamika C.

Yelp
Small restaurant, but was able to accommodate a party of 8 for lunch quickly. Only one waitress working, but she was super sweet and efficient. Everyone loved their meals. Tacos, asada fries, taco salads. Will be back to try other dishes and their drinks.
google avatar

Ashley T.

Yelp
Took my friend who was visiting from out of town here and it was definitely a fun restaurant to have dinner at. I would say that the prices are a bit high considering the portion sizes but the food is pretty solid over all.
google avatar

Michael P.

Yelp
Looking for a new taco place decided to give this a try. I got the gauc to start out with and had the mezcal taco which is a short rib taco. Also had a fish taco and my date had three taco plate and sangria. They have three different hot sauces. I felt like the sauces and overall the food was light on seasoning. I would come back but it would not be my first choice.
google avatar

Yelp
More like 2.5/5. I'm not really sure why the reviews are as high as they are. Seating is extremely cramped; our four top barely fit us and we're all pretty petite. When you walk in there's the main area and two other rooms you could be seated that look to be more spacious but our table was not. The food was average or below on most items we tried. The nachos at $14 were about the size and quality of public school lunch nachos. We got them with chicken and while it was good chicken the nacho cheese, chips and other toppings were so sparse and I wouldn't order again. I ordered the traditional burrito with chicken and it was good except for the fact that it was soggy and barely any chicken in it. Came with no sides either which is kind of weird for an entree at a mexician restaurant. The shrimp tacos were dripping with liquid when picked up as well. A couple of the girls ordered margaritas and they seemed to like them. They're only on the rocks so keep that in mind if you like frozen as that's not an option here. We tip 20% by default but it was added to our bill since our tab was over $100 so look at your receipts! Overall I wouldn't come back, there's way better options in the surround area but at least we can say we tried it!

Allison R.

Yelp
This is our second time trying this place- first time was a disaster. This is a $14 salad- I seriously thought they packed my lettuce separate until I mixed it around. That is also a $7 queso that isn't even enough for one person. We spent over $75 at this restaurant tonight and will still be hungry. I hate writing reviews like this - especially for locally owned places, but this is now the second time we've been incredibly disappointed. On top of that, we asked for no pico (twice) and the burrito still had it.

Yelp
Love this cute spot. The servers are always friendly and the food is delicious. The outdoor seating area is perfect on a nice day and the dining space is nice too. It's such a great addition to the Ferndale neighborhood.

Yelp
We popped in for lunch, and right away, I could tell this was a good decision. Layout wise, this place could get cramped quickly during dinner. However, it was mostly empty, and I appreciated being able to relax at a table and enjoy the sunny afternoon. Our server was attentive, and even moved us to a better table when she greeted us (we didn't ask, but we were right next to the door, which is something I never understand. The place is empty, don't cram me next to a breezy door if you can help it, old hostess me cringes when that happens) We started with queso, and it was really great. Thick with a few peppers. Delicious. The chips were also great, and seasoned well, just limited in portion, which created an awkward Hunger Games vibe at the table between me and my coworkers. The veggie taco was amazing. So flavorful, the corn tortilla was even seasoned, it was so, so good. I also got a side of fries (idk I was in a fry mood), but those weren't great, but again, I don't think they needed to be at a Mexican restaurant. The tacos ARE very small. Packed with flavor, but small. So when ordering, I'd probably keep that in mind when it comes to quantity.
google avatar

Annie A.

Yelp
Really happy to have a new Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood! The prices were reasonable and our waiter Alejandro was great. They make everything fresh in the kitchen and it is evident in their food. We did have to park down the street to avoid paying for parking but there are a couple of paid spots out front. I got the veggie burrito and liked it a lot, although it was a little heavy on the rice and beans. The tortilla was warm and delicious and it stayed together well, it was filled with rice, beans, cheese, pico, squash, peppers and onions. I also ordered the churros- they were filled with a Carmel sauce and served with strawberry whipped cream dip. I think I would have liked a chocolate sauce instead of the strawberry whipped cream for dipping. I would love to come back and try some tacos and maybe a margarita as well.

Jayla H.

Yelp
So. The food was pretty good until I found a giant mosquito in it and after I mentioned it to the staff they weren't apologetic at all. Although the manager took it off our bill it took them over 30 minutes to bring said bill. They didn't greet us when we left either (there were several employees facing the exit). I would have given them another try but the way I was treated after finding the bug was unacceptable.
google avatar

Karen W.

Yelp
Holy moly this place is yummy. We came here starving on a Saturday late afternoon. We knew nothing about this restaurant and decided tacos sounded perfect. Our server was friendly and offered great suggestions, although he tried really hard to upsell us on ordering alcohol. I ended up ordering two tacos: the tacobirria and alambre. These tacos were some of the best and most authentic tacos I have had. Trust me I've been to Mexico plenty of times and eaten my fair share of tacos! The flavors were outstanding, the tortillas were that perfect combination of crispy but yet soft and did not fall apart. I got a side of Chipotle ranch and that was very good also. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Hmmmmmm - where to start. No one waiting upon arriving. Few minutes before any 1 acknowledged me. Led to outdoor patio- dirty table. Waiter told us to have seat on bench next to table. He then shows up with water, places on bench - no clean up of table. Few minutes later someone washes table - never dries. We are seated - menus placed on wet table. I bring my water from bench. Chips -salsa not included- ordered some , along with margaritas. Tried to order Street tacos and an enchilada- waiter said too much food, just order tacos? Tacos showed up quick - then overpriced chips salsa, then drinks. Very unorganized! Tacos tasted good, but entire experience, not worth $55-$58.

Yelp
My son turned the big 1-6 and with the way gas prices are at the moment he didn't get a car that's for sure, so he settled for the next best thing was to go out for Mexican for his birthday! Sidebar: the comment about the car is only 46% true, he still working on his license, I'm not a monster! Anyway, his choice in restaurant was fantastic. It was actually our first time here so we really didn't know what to expect. Often times it is not easy to distinguish a good versus great [cause really, is there any bad Mexican restaurants?] Well I can unequivocally say this one is great. We ordered a California burrito, a Mezcal burrito, a traditional burrito, and some street tacos, all to split. I wish I could say I could pick a favorite, I would say they were all equally delicious, but gun to my head I would choose them in this order: Mezcal, California and then traditional. Referring to the tacos, I know birria tacos are all the rage, but I personally can't seem to get into them. Now the shrimp tacos on the other hand was absolutely brilliant, although I do wish they added a touch of cilantro to it. sidebar #2: I love cilantro and to be fair to the restaurant I think cilantro should be added to everything. Finally, we also tried the alambre taco for he first time. It was very good. We chose chicken as the meat and the combination of that and chorizo was surprisingly compatible. It was wonderful to be able to try something new for a very reasonable price. I know what you're all thinking, you're the fat one Sunil, you obviously ordered most of that for yourself, but no. The Teean Age food vacuum known as my son finished the vast majority of the food but wait there was also dessert. So much dessert as we ordered one of each. So as much as I loved the entrees, I have to say I was less impressed with their dessert options. The flan was very simple and basic, the churros with cajeta was flavorless and disappointing and the three milk cake was unimpressive. Now besides the entrees where they did excel was the tequila list. So I would suggest skipping the dessert and enjoying an extra Maestro Dobbel Anejo. Yum! Overall this was a wonderful dining experience. The staff was great. The restaurant was clean and efficient. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
The tacos are delicious. The fish taco was my favorite. The Mezcal taco was good but the brisket was pretty tough. Every time I come, the staff is super friendly. It's a super chill place to have dinner and the drinks are super on point. When it gets warm, I love sitting on the patio. Have the Mezcal old fashioned and thank me later.

Yelp
We came here on a whim and sat outside. The table was kind of wobbly but it was a cute, little patio. He had the margaritas and I had a michelada. All the drinks were good! We started with the trio dip. I really enjoyed the chips. They had a red seasoning on them. All three dips were excellent. We both had the soup and enjoyed it. The corn appetizer wasn't anything special and a very small portion for the price. For dinner, I got the alambre taco which was okay. Nothing was wrong with it but there wasn't a wow factor for me. My fiancé got the cauliflower taco special. They tasted like meat which I thought was cool since they were vegetarian. I think the highlight was the churro dessert. They had a filling that was really good. One thing that stood out was the service. Alexandra was our server. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and extremely attentive. Overall, I think it was kind of expensive for Mexican food. Especially compared to authentic places but it was still pretty good overall.
google avatar

Heather C.

Yelp
Great experience. We walked in on a Saturday at 6:30 pm with 4 people and sat right down. Our server was attentive and let me try a little sample of mezcal before ordering drinks. I was not a fan, so I'm glad he let me sample it first! I ordered a premium margarita and it was tasty! I loved the added garnish. My favorite of all the food was the soup! The chicken and broth were full of seasonings and flavor! The southwest salad was good and the churros were hot and filled with caramel.
google avatar

Yelp
Intimate authentic Mexican restaurant with some fantastic food. Tacos were phenomenal!!! Alambre - peppers, onion, chorizo, melted cheese, cilantro & asada Grilled Shrimp - chipotle ranch, pico de gallo, avocado & pickled cabbage Birria - shredded beef with melted cheese, onion & cilantro The burrito mezcal was also very tasty. Highly recommend starting with the chips trio with homemade guacamole, salsa and super cheesy queso. You will not be disappointed with the food. There is an opportunity to improve the service. We sat for quite awhile at various point during our meal.

James H.

Yelp
I'm visiting town and I've been here for two days, and have already eaten here three times! Everything is so delicious and authentic! I highly recommend the Mezcal Soup, as it's called. I only wish they made the soup as a bigger option to go with the appetizer size. I could eat it as a main dish, it's really that good. Everyone here is delightful. I may never leave!
google avatar

Rebecca R.

Yelp
Consistently great. That's it. Amen. If you are looking for cheap and big this isn't the place. Great and fair is what they've got going on here. It's tacos, tequila and salsa. I judge a place based on these simple things. Get them right and I'll be loyal for life.
google avatar

Stacia G.

Yelp
Great selection of tacos (different styles and meats, as well as corn or flour), as well as burritos and bowls. Had the taquitos and they were ok. Sauce and the "Tinga" had a definite kick. Had the bowl with asada and it was very good and NOT like a chipotle bowl- much better! We had the classic margarita with mezcal and tajin, spicy Paloma, regular tequila Paloma, and the twist on the cosmopolitan. Server was friendly and attentive. Took a while to get drinks. Great spot! Fills up quick- has vegan option, does not take reservations.

Yelp
Went for a surprise birthday party of about 25. Semiprivate room was nice. Once everyone sat down the server was prompt to take our orders. Because the server was putting the orders in on her small POS tablet as she took them, the drinks and appetizers started arriving quickly after ordering which was nice. The food came in a good amount of time as well. I ordered the nonalcoholic paloma, chips trio, burrito bowl and southwest quesadilla. My husband ordered a coffee, three street tacos, and a side of onions and jalapeños. All of the food was good, service was just okay, the server never came back with coffee refills or to ask if we wanted dessert. All in all its was good. Tex-mex style food, definitely not authentic mexican.

Yelp
Heard good things about this place so my husband and I decided to stop in. It was the middle of the day and they were not busy at all. We decided to sit at the bar. I ordered a margarita, he ordered a beer, and then we also decided to try the chips trio that comes with salsa, guacamole, and queso. Service was very very very slow, even though they were not busy. We thought multiple times about cancelling our order and leaving. My margarita was not good at all. Not sure if I wasn't a fan of the mix they use, or the tequila they use, but never the less I did not care for it. As for the chips trio, the chips were very very greasy. They looked like they were store bought chips that they then deep fried. I would have much preferred them not to be fried. The salsa was flavorless, and the guacamole was mediocre. The queso was definitely the best thing, and it wasn't even that amazing. It just tasted better than anything else we got. I was really excited to try this place but unfortunately I don't see myself rushing back anytime soon.

Yelp
It's on the corner of 9 Mile and Ber The taquitos looks like my favorite Mexican dish of late Flautas. Their salsa looks good, chips look like they come out of a bag though. They are open today until 10PM. Ordered the trio, taquitos dorados with chicken, tostada de tinga, three street taco combo with chicken and a side of beans as well as a side of onions and jalapeños. $56.10. We are seated at the back room, by ourselves. The trio came out soon enough. The rest of the food took a bit longer. The nacho chips remind me of a lighter crispy Dorito, just not as cheesy, but still tasty. The queso isn't bad, it's thick, has a bit of heat. The guacamole is decent. Was it worth $11, yes. However, there's just not enough chips to eat up all of the dips and they charge $5 for the extra corn chips. It's easy to feel forgotten in the back room and you can't exactly flag down the waiter easily either. Had to wait for him to come to our area for ask for more chips, napkins and hot salsa too. The Taquitos are small and definitely app sized. They were pretty good. The dip for the taquito reminds me of the blooming onion dip, oddly, it's a good pairing. The tostada is okay, not super flavorful with the tinga, but the tostada doss stay together for the most part. The side of beans are so-so. It's a solid 3.5 stars. The trio, tostada and beans could use some more oomph to make them more notable. Service wasn't too bad.

Yelp
My fiancé and I have been wanting to try this place for a while and a few weeks ago we did and we were so impressed with the everything! This is our new go to Mexican restaurant when we are staying on this side of town! It is a small restaurant located in downtown ferndale and I'm sure it gets over looked but take my advice and go here! I haven't had such good authentic Mexican food in such a long time! It is so much better than other Mexican restaurants like El Charro or Azteca. We have tried several dishes here and we have loved everything! The inside is absolutely beautiful! Everything is fresh and spot on! They are a little pricey but you pay for what you get! This is high quality food with amazing flavor. A few friends have mentioned how good the food is and I am so glad we took their advice and tried it! My whole family loves it here and we are regulars now!

Yelp
Yikes. Bad first impression that went downhill fast. After an hour and a half, we called to check on our position on the wait list and it rang multiple times before going to voicemail. They didn't send a confirmation text so I wasn't even confident they'd remember us. The hostess was surly, and did appear happy to be there. When we got sat, there were a ton of open tables (maybe they're short staffed). The space is cute but inefficient; the booths are so low to the ground and so close to the decorative plants that it's uncomfortable to get out. Our server was super nice but very slow. Never checked to see how we were doing until we were done eating. The salsa and queso was really good- we ordered extra chips to enjoy while waiting for our meal and they came -with- the meal... Food itself was ok, but not amazing. I liked the rice but when I asked for double rice in lieu of beans, I got barely any rice at all so I'm pretty sure I just paid to not get beans. Also, the check for 2 people was almost 100 bucks. A combo for a tiny side of rice and 3 "street" tacos was $15. For that kind of money, I could've gotten a nice steak meal downtown. Go to southwest Detroit or imperial. Not rushing back here.

Yelp
Extra star because the music was great! Really enjoyed the ambiance and fun atmosphere here. Good selection of bites to eat! The birria quesadilla was not bad but I'd rather explore other items. The consome wasn't the best for me but it was still good. I'm big on authentic birria and this was missing something. Chips and salsa are a must! The chips are great and salsas are all yummy. Everyone in the party really enjoyed their drinks. I didn't drink this time but look forward to returning to try them. Something about this place that would make me pick coming here over Imperial unless I want a hot dog.

Yelp
This was my first time dinning in. I loved being sat as soon as I walked in. I found out they have happy hour from 1pm to 6pm. As we sat down the happy hour list was explained and then the best recommendations on the menu. The food did not and I mean did not disappoint. I had the street corn for an app and shrimp and fried fish tacos. My friend and I shared a churros for desserts and it was well worth it. The service was amazing and I cannot complain. I'll be back!

Yelp
Fun atmosphere and great service! I really enjoyed the art on the walls and our server was super nice and attentive. I really wish they had used the melted queso versus shredded queso cheese on my nachos. I'll be sure to ask for a substitution next time. All of the cold toppings over the ground beef made the entire dish cold and slightly displeasing. Tacos were good and the guacamole was super fresh and delicious!
