Mezza Luna Pizzeria

Google
Showed up 10 minutes before our order was supposed to be done, via their estimation. I like it fresh and hot. It was not even warm. Pizza was already boxed sitting on top of three other pies already done. Cheese was burnt. Not good. Said my name-pick up for Thomas. Was called Tom. Not cool. After reading up on all of the other 1 star reviews, only mediocre apologies almost all worded the same are given. I won’t be back

Google
Mezza Luna has great pizza and it is a go-to spot for lunch when I visit Eugene. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience at the Pearl St. location on 1/2/26. I ordered pizza and sat at a table in the northwest corner. There was a man sitting at a middle table who didn't have any food or plates/cups at his table. As I ate, I watched him put his hand down his pants and touch himself (sexually). I told an employee that this had happened. They said okay. I sat back down at my table and decided to move seats, so I picked up my food and went to the bar, a seat closest to the door and the back of house. Once I was here, the same employee came to told me they were keeping an eye on the man. While I finished eating, I watched the man exhibit some unusual behavior. There were three employees working, and they were often all in the back of house, not within sightlines of the man. They were not keeping an eye on him. This made me uncomfortable because I didn't feel like the employees responded appropriately, and I felt that the situation had potential to become unsafe. They seemed ambivalent about the situation while I was deeply uncomfortable. I wish the employees had kept watch on him, and I think they could have made a reasonable request for him to leave on the basis of he was not eating or drinking anything from the restaurant. Perhaps the management could provide training for their employees regarding handling such situations.

Incredibly fresh salad. Delicious. Flavorful. Arrived hot. Great crust. A+

Google
73rd pizza spot in the books. This place has a very relaxing atmosphere. It's not loud at all. Some pizza spots feel like you need to talk super loud but not here. The service is great, the pizza is brought to the table, ask for ranch it doesn't come on its own. Now the time you have been waiting for the food! We got the pepperoni with Italian sausage. Sausage is cut thin not in a crumble form. The sauce was balanced good flavor but doesn't over power with sage, time or oregano. The crust is on the thin side which is great if you want more than once pieces because the cuts are pretty big (Costco pizza slices size). Cheese is quality, the pepperoni used is quality and big NYC style which I personally love. Crust was not floppy, and the back crust bite was crunchy and had a snap. We got the garlic knots with cheese.. RECOMMEND 100% so these are delicious #1, now the biggest reason they are 8+ Chang for 12, this is pre-pandemic pricing! You could almost get these by themselves and make it a meal. My Ranking FOOD ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ SERVICE ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ COST VALUE ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ATMOSPHERE ⭐⭐⭐⭐ PARKING ⭐⭐⭐

Google
I love your pizza! I have been eating at Mezza Luna since I was a young teen. First time I have ordered a large pizza to go and it didn’t have the toppings I added onto it, which was like an extra $5. I love your pizza but my inner hangry person was a lil disappointed.

Jensen J.

Google
First time visiting. Half my rating is service and half is the food. Service is always the first impression food is the last. Walked in and the two employees at the counter were talking to each other. Walked up to counter and they kept talking. I had questions but their conversation was more important. Quickly ordered a couple pies (and they went back to their conversation). Service was non existent. Pizza was just eh. Should have just grabed a frozen pizza went back and cooked it. There's a lot of small biz restaurants that want to win over their customers. I'd skip this one.

Google
Pizza was really good, got a slice of cheese and fools gold. Service was okay, I had ordered garlic cheese knots and it took quite a while for it to be ready, then the server accidentally switched mine with another table so I ended up with their regular garlic knots. The pizza quality will bring me back eventually, hopefully next time they will keep the orders straight.

My friend and I have been going to Mezza Luna close to 10 yrs. After some challenges I have been fortunate to return once again. It was a great reunion. Some staff were still there and remembered me. They welcomed Daisy, my service dog, and were eager to please. That was easy. I love the standard fare and am always amazed at their creative spins on pizza. There has never been a disappointment. This speaks to several things. Top quality ingredients, more than just guessing on what new pizza to create, and the care by which each pizza is assembled and baked. The salads have always been to large for one person to eat. That continues today. The calzones are hefty, full of tasty ingredients and a delight. I usually need a take out box for the leftovers. If I ever knew, ahead of time, my last party of my life it would be at Mezza Luna with my friends there and the dear friends of my life. And guys, please don't continue ruining a great handmade product by putting hot sauce on it. This is Italian, not Latin.

Yelp
Came here for a late lunch of slices of pizza and a Caesar salad. Portions are very generous and prices are reasonable. $20 for a salad large enough for three adults to share and three large slices of pizza! We will definitely be back again

Yelp
The fruit and nuts salad was nice. Pizza is better elsewhere. Ordered garlic knots and took 65 minutes to be served. What?

Yelp
Hands down the BEST pizza I've had EVER!!! I can't believe I've never tried Mezza Luna Pizzeria before. The Boot has harmonious flavors that make all your troubles go away! It's that good! Must try if in town!
google avatar

Greg C.

Yelp
The order process was easy, the delivery process seamless and the pizza was excellent. Even a medium was more than three of us could eat. We'll keep them on our re-order list.

Minerva R.

Yelp
Ordered delivery...Meh. Good for Eugene, I guess. But the dough although chewy and crispy, seemed pre-made. Spendy @ $30+ for a 6 piece pie. It's a rough time to stay in business these days so I don't want to be too harsh. I would eat their pizza again if I was walking by the restaurant but will not order delivery again.

Yelp
We've only eaten here for take out but the staff is friendly and the pizza is good. Looking forward to trying different pizzas on future visits.

Yelp
The pizza at Mezza Luna is truly exceptional all-around, but one of the things they do especially well is their crust.  It's impossible not to love it - mostly chewy and part crisp, thin, but with enough thickness around the edges to satisfy die-hard crust cravers :-) Not only is the crust exceptional, but the toppings can be described with just one word: WOW!!  Digressing to a few more words, at Mezza Luna you'll find a long list of creative toppings, all made with fresh, quality ingredients.  You can specify exactly the combination of toppings you want, or opt for one of their pre-configured speciality pies. Tip: Their lunchtime special of a slice and a salad is pretty tough to beat :-) The prices here are surprisingly reasonable given how delicious their pies are.  I found myself wondering how they make a profit, but then I realized that given how popular this place is, it'd be pretty hard not to ;-) Because "Man does not Live by Pizza alone", they also have a very comprehensive selection of beers to drink with your pie. On the off-chance that you aren't up for a whole pie, Mezza Luna offers their pizza by the slice as well.  Each day they have five different kinds (one pepperoni, one cheese, and three other rotating "surprises".  All the pies which can be purchased by the slice are displayed in a glass case up front.

Yelp
I ordered take out and it gave me the option for curb side pick up. So I entered the info only to find out they DON'T have curbside pickup. Will not order from them again.

Kylee N.

Yelp
I have been here twice and the gluten free pizza is so good! I am obsessed with the 4 friends pizza.

Yelp
So..So. (Your 83letters are in the mail) 85 sounds like extortion to me C'mon I just wanted to say it was OK
google avatar

Bonnie L.

Yelp
Absolutely love Mezzanine Luna pizza. I usually get the Margarita pizza. It has always been excellent. The Ceaser Salad is excellent, best I have had in Eugene

R A.

Yelp
I ordered from here since it was rated high on gluten-free pizza options. It was extremely overpriced. By the time I finished tipping, it was approaching $48 for a 14 inch pizza. starting price was in the $30s. The pizza crust was burned around all the edges. The pizza toppings were very lackluster. Unfortunately one of the worst pizzas I've ever had.
google avatar

Rachel B.

Yelp
Huge bummer ...this was my favorite pizza place for years but they keep serving up crap. Not sure what's going on but the location in Springfield isn't good anymore either. They had a guy that made the best pizzas and we haven't seen him in ages and every whole pie we get now sucks. It's also strange the ingredients don't seem as high quality. I literally just ate the last slice of pizza I will ever eat from this place. I think the picture speaks for itself.

Yelp
nice place, nice ambience. i love the addition of the glass bricks, like i looove glass bricks so bonus points. pizza was good, service was quick. cute little pizza spot.

Brian C.

Yelp
Ordered a take out bbq chicken pie and a Greek salad. Was told a 25 min, walked in at exactly 25 minutes and threw it was being boxed up. Everyone extremely friendly, order were completely correct. By the time I got home from work, showered, threw some slices in the oven and made the salad after showering. Absolutely delicious, both the salad and the pizza I honestly say which was better. Definitely get some ranch too, I swear it hits different with the bbq chicken pizza. Swore this was best pizza in Eugene/Springfield for years and this just proves it. Incredible dinner after a long days work, thank Thank you!

Gabrielle B.

Yelp
Great pizza, crust was super tasty and the staff was friendly. The place was extremely tidy.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Sunday evening before a show at the Hult. Young lady at the register was friendly and helpful. We ordered large slices and a salad to share (they're big!) New York style thin crust, well done Oregon beers and cider available Good experience, thumbs up

Haelie A.

Yelp
Cheap and delicious food, pizza by the slice, great service and great little indoor seating area! Probably about 10 tables. Great for a rainy day.
google avatar

Kat P.

Yelp
Unfortunately the quality of their to go pizzas and garlic knots have not been the best the last 3 times we ordered take out. Garlic knots are doughy, flavorless, no garlic. Pizzas have been either over or under baked with sloppy job of toppings.

Chris B.

Yelp
Went here on a Saturday during peak hours. They were busy, but the staff were friendly and professional. You could watch the team tossing up large discs of pizza dough which I thought was really interesting. I haven't had good pizza since moving to Coos Bay, which is a couple hours west on the coast. Mezza Luna's pizza was fantastic! The crust had some crunchy blackened char on the crust (so good!), and the sauce/cheese/toppings were delicious! I got the Margherita which was solid, five stars and I'll stop in here anytime I can :)

Tyler P.

Yelp
Amazing pizza very fast great service 2000/10 would recommend very big slices but also very good size pizzas

Ocean J.

Yelp
The best pizza in Eugene! Great atmosphere, and service. Our server was Estelle and she was so lovely!! the one thing I would say is it was a little hot and maybe the heat could be turned down. Other than that amazing! Would recommend!
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
Excellent pizzas. Thin crust, quality ingredients, very well made and consistent. I've eaten at Mezza Luna fifty times or more. For around $4 you can get a large slice which honestly is a decent meal in itself. Get two slices and you should be sufficiently stuffed for under $10 including tip. Cannot best this place for quality + value. Friendly service. Chill dining area. Outside seating. Order ahead for full pies. They've got good beer, wine and salads too.

Keegan F.

Yelp
This is my favorite pizza in town. Service is always friendly and it's very clean open kitchen. The pizza is excellent but I always opt for the calzones. The price might seem like a lot until you see what you're paying for. The calzones are huge, they put it in a medium pizza box and give you two marinara sauces. They don't skimp on ingredients. Lots of mozzarella and ricotta with three choices of ingredients. Highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Natalina C.

Yelp
The pizza was really good! I just wish it was fresh. I got the impression that usually they are. It was in the display case and they heated it up. Flavor was there. Not the best, not my favorite but not bad! I like how big the slices are too. I would come here again. I liked the fact they highlighted local band flyers in the window and had local art for sale on the walls. It shows a love for their community. I also had a snickerdoodle but didn't end up finishing it because it was dry.

Thomas O.

Yelp
Love the New York style pizza. However, it was very tasty , but I thought they scrimped on the toppings. The service is always friendly and good. Will be back.
google avatar

Brent B.

Yelp
Gave it another chance and ordered the Boot, which I enjoyed a lot! The crust was fantastic this time. I think the previous time I ordered, the pizza had just been sitting there for a while before I picked it up, even though I came earlier than their estimated time. I think they may tend to over-estimate their prep time to be safe, so if they say 25 minutes, come in 15-20 if you want it to be fresher!
google avatar

Todd O.

Yelp
Perfect slices! 3.75 to 4.00 based on how elaborate the ingredients are. And they are huge. Thin crust. Perfect crispness. Foldable. I had the Marshal, the flavors mixed perfectly. If I didn't live 2 hours away, this place would get our business all the time.

Erika S.

Yelp
Delish and very fresh! The caprese is super yum. Service was great. Can't go wrong with pizza by the slice!
google avatar

Sandy C.

Yelp
We just arrived in Eugene & we asked the young lady at the car rental office where to go for pizza. She recommended Mezzaluna. She wasn't wrong. Ordered at the counter & food is brought to you. Salad was a little dry, so I asked for more dressing. That hit the spot. Hubs ordered the slice of pizza. It had sliced Kalamata olives, mozzarella, garlic... He enjoyed it. I took a couple bites of the crust. It was chewy & soft at the same time. All in all, thanks to the Enterprise car rental lady, good meal.

Annette C.

Yelp
Fantastic pizza! Nice variety of types to select from on the menu. We are lucky to have such a great pizza joint in Eugene!

Yelp
Dropped in after seeing Les Miserables at the Opera house a few blocks away. Parking across the street and street-side parking if you're lucky. I didn't expect much walking in because the place looks so humble, the the engaging staff generous helpings and food from scratch here is well worth the stop. I felt genuinely grateful for the opportunity to be there and have their pizza with such nice folk. Give 'em a smile and tip them well, let's keep quality service in business. We had the Pollo Party, and I recommend if you don't get the garlic knots with it --like we did-- that you get some dipping sauce. The crust is dippably good, unless you prefer the soft gluteny goodness from the knots. Thanks guys, you earned my 5* approval.

Marsha C.

Yelp
I didn't give it one star only because I have had worse. Not exactly high praise. The crust was okay, not tasty. Everything was quite bland and my taste buds were not at all engaged. (Neither were my husband's and he was equally disappointed.) Also, this pizza is very, very expensive!!! I will not eat here again. Still looking for real "New York style" pizza in Eugene! Anybody got suggestions?
google avatar

Matt T.

Yelp
I like the pizza here. Their gluten-free is awesome. Probably the best from Eugene. They are super cool with substitutions and have what SHOULD BE a laid-back vibe, which I enjoy in a neighborhood pizza place. I also really like that you can buy pizza by the slice either to go or to eat in-house. They 100% lose stars for service. There have been at least three times in the last couple of months where we have gone in and the service behind the register has really been awful. Argumentative, dismissive, catty, and overall really poor people skills. There is a guy that works behind the register who is particularly difficult, not just in our own experience, but with other patrons that we've witnessed the interaction. I was in a couple of nights ago and he wasn't working and it was a completely different experience, both ordering food, and the overall atmosphere of the dining room. I can only imagine what it would be like to be staff working around that sort of negativity. On the positive side, the cookies are really yummy, and I do like their pizza, but in truth, we only eat there now if we happen to be in the area or across the street come dinner time. Specifically because of the noted behavior. People act like this because they have permission, either direct or implied. It feels like ownership may know about this and either not care or not wish to deal with it. I don't need to give my money or time to somebody that won't clean up a mess.

Camryn L.

Yelp
Mezza Luna is my favorite pizza spot in Eugene. The staff are really friendly and the pizzas are enormous. My favorite is the bbq chicken, it is one of the best I've ever had!

Dylan B.

Yelp
I think it's the best pizzeria in town! Excellent salads, and friendly staff. Mezza Luna is the only pizzeria I frequent.

Robert D.

Yelp
Great pizza!! Not from the area but Zara and Thomas were awesom!! Thanks for your help!! Want great Pizza and super service, this is the place to go!!
google avatar

April S.

Yelp
Everytime I come in I'm greeted by the mostly friendly faces , the entire team is always in a great mood and you can tell they enjoy working together . I come here for pizza on my lunch & it's always fast and delicious. Pretty reasonable prices for the quality they serve
google avatar

Elvin L.

Yelp
If you get the large, be ready to eat! definitely one of the best pies in Eugene! Definitely get an order of the garlic and cheese bread rolls, too.
google avatar

Carima T.

Yelp
Pizza and salads are always great, they have really good Vegan options. This place is our default when we're craving pizza. Staff is always friendly!
google avatar

Deborah S.

Yelp
Great choice of slices which they warmed up to perfection. The slices are super huge. Indoor seating area and a fun vibe.
google avatar

Allie D.

Yelp
Customer service was 5 star but the quality was ehh... I would give 3.5 stars if allowed. I was super happy with the gluten free crust but no vegan cheese options is a little disappointing. While I have accommodated to pizza without cheese and asked for mine to be GF and DF, mine did end up coming out with cheese on it. Being on such strict diet due to allergens, I constantly feel like I am being "extra" so I feel uncomfortable to speak out when my order comes out wrong. I do not expect people to understand unless they are under the same stipulations.

Marie H.

Yelp
Love it hear. The vibes are great and the food is greater. Our favorites are the cheese slice and a Caesar salad. I never ask them to make the savory garden or the BBQ chicken or the bruschetta because I don't like to make those. The one with short brunette hair (mullet) at the counter is my personal favorite!!! I also love it when the tall brunette with tattoos is in the kitchen- then I know it'll be a good slice. Music is always on par and the wall art is fun to look at. Will come back soon!
google avatar

Dylan J.

Yelp
After Sizzle Pie closed its doors and fired everyone we gave Mezza Luna a few more shots. Unfortunately it's just sort of "Okay" these days. Considering the cost of the pies and ingredients we were expecting much tastier food. It sucks to see, but the quality of food has gone way down hill over the years. My family and I have even considered getting chain restaurant pizza because this place is such a let down. However we ended up not buying much pizza anymore and just making it ourselves. Win some lose some.
google avatar

Ben T.

Yelp
Holy moly the Four Friends pizza is out of this world good! Actually, they're all out if this works good, but I hold a special place in my heart for smoked mozzarella The staff are incredibly friendly and the vibe in the restaurant is very relaxing. Absolutely zero complaints about this spot!

Kevin S.

Yelp
I have been here for pizzas, salads and beer. All are excellent. The pizzas are what I would call New York style thin crust. They have slices and pies. The salads are very fresh and flavorful. The beer selection is limited, but unique. I would eat here regularly if I lived in Eugene. When in Eugene, grab a pie.
google avatar

Chepe P.

Yelp
Unusually didn't take my order until after 5 to 7 minutes in a semi empty building with only 2 customers who were already eating. The first worker just glanced at me and walked away while she muttered something unintelligible. Second did almost the same thing. She was packing a pizza for some other order. Pizza was a little bland but still acceptable. 6/10 Probably better pizza places than this place. They were polite in the end would only recommend once a year.
google avatar

Bonnie B.

Yelp
There are some great pizza places in Eugene. There are also some great people in Eugene. Then there's Mezza Luna - where those two worlds collide. The folks that work here are always so pleasant and nice- and the food is fucking fantastic. (Their Caesar is awesome as well!) excellent food, excellent service, cute place!!
google avatar

Robert O.

Yelp
As a person who eats primarily a vegan diet I stumbled across the vegan pizza and had to try it. It was very good. As good as a cheese less pizza can be a maybe better. But not only was the vegan pizza very good but the traditional pizza was excellent (as I was told). What set both pizza's apart from others is the crust. Thin and crispy, with excellent flavoring, the crust is fantastic. The foundation of the pizza here should make all of the creations here excellent. I highly recommend this. On a slightly negative note the beer selection was very limited. So if you are looking for varied fresh beer go elsewhere but if you're looking for great pizza in Eugene, go to Mezza Luna!
