An absolute gem tucked away in an unassuming strip mall. Our two shrimp scampi dishes were plentiful, delicious, and beautifully plated. The veal piccatta was the same, except black pepper was unusually sprinkled all across the pasta portion, thus only 4 stars for food. I tried to sweep it off, but it just mixed further into the pasta. I've never before seen that much pepper on just the pasta portion. In addition, as I have an allergic sensitivity to this seasoning, it was very problematic. Fortunately, our amazing and attentive server, Manuel, was quick to address and resolve the issue with a fresh plate of pasta once the problem was identified. My cannollo was sublime. Especially impressive was the crispy outer shell. So many other restaurants pre-fill their shells and let them sit, resulting in a slightly soggy dessert with little or no crunch. But not so at Mezzo Bistro. The prices were more than reasonable for the quality of food/service and quantity of portions. This was my first visit, and I look forward to going back.

Mezzo is a true italian restaurant that perfectly balances a trip to the old country and feeling right at home. We go as often as possible, the entire staff from the owner, to waiters, servers and cooks are always attentive, genuine and welcoming - I mean ALWAYS. You can dine many ways at Mezzo; 1. Outside Patio 2. Indoor Casita 3. Private Corner 4. At Bar 5. Dining Area 6. Venue Room (Newly Added) Don't know the official titles of these eating areas but that's how I'd describe them Also, they play the right music softly in background with candles literally everywhere as the light source - setting a relaxed, no rush, no worries, classic italian styled experience We try as many italian restaurants as possible here in Las Vegas, and we find ourselves rushing back to Mezzo!

I love this place!!! I found them on Facebook when I was looking for a jazz event. I went there. There was a really cool atmosphere, good music, very attentive staff. I really liked it and I will definitely go there next time they play jazz.

Update: We decided to give this place another try for date night, and we’re so glad we did! The food was delicious, every dish was full of flavor, and the portions were satisfying. The atmosphere made for a lovely evening, and we left feeling happy and full. Looking forward to our next visit! Came here for date night and service was amazing. The food was brought out in great intervals and staff was professional and friendly. Food also tasted amazing and was plentiful for anyone that would eat here. Outside seating was also available if that’s your cup of tea. This is the second time we’ve been and each time has been fantastic.

Google
Always amazing food and the jazz nights are my favorite! We had a somewhat introverted waiter one night, but mostly of the staff are awesome! I highly recommend trying something different every time you go...it is aaallll...goooodd!!

Google
This place has an amazing happy hour!!! Everyone here that I have experienced are amazing humans. The food is excellent and the ambiance is wonderful. I have only been with my kiddos, and for a nicer place I was amazed that they accommodated my crazy kids. Well done and excellent job being one of the “betters”!

Excellent food and atmosphere. We went for a murder mystery night and it was a blast. I even won most creative solution and a bottle of wine.

Our family who lives about 5 minutes away from Mezzo Bistro asked what we would like to eat for dinner. There were options but my brother-in-law Mark and my wife who are half Italian said "Pasta would be nice for dinner". Our nephew (by marriage) Brandon turned his wife (our niece) Brenda and said "Let's take them to Mezzo Bistro". We came, didn't have reservations but we're able to seat 7 of his very quickly. We all had different dishes and what surprised me were the portions, very healthy and great tasting. I was glad I ordered their spaghetti and meatballs because it reminded me of the Christmas dinners my mother-in-law (who was from Italy) made us. The size of the meatballs were the same size she would make, I felt as if I was back on the family table enjoying my mother-in-law's Christmas dinner. The decor and atmosphere brought you back in a little family restaurant in Italy and people enjoying their choices they selected on the menu. Everyone seated at our table didn't have much conversations because we were all to busy eating our food. The wine selection was great as well especially for my wife who lives her red wine. We will return because we found a place we appreciate and the prices were very reasonable. We you again when we returned from California to visit family in North Las Vegas. Our waiter was great and I don't know if it was the manager or the owner of the restaurant who came by and asked if everything was okay with our food. Right there that showed us this place loves their food they serve but that their customers are satisfied and enjoying their choices.

Yelp
Happy hour review...you need to get here between 3-5...but I promise you eating a little early is worth it for these deals. We thought we may have to sit at the bar for this, but they offered us a table in the bar that made this so much a nicer experience for a happy hour. We both got 5 dollar glasses of Cabernet and ordered the meatballs and the flatbread to split. They also brought bread to the table so we had plenty to eat. The bread was really good with a basalmic oil to dip in. The meatballs arrived first and they were quite good...2 for 5 dollars is a great deal...and they tasted great. Flatbread we got was pepperoni. This was a unique crust, but we both liked it. It was light and very flavorful flatbread. I will be back for more...the rest of the menu looked really good also for HH.

Yelp
We've been back a few times over the years, and I have to say, the food gets better and better every time I've gone--and it was the best this evening. The antipasto salad had the perfect amount of dressing, and the meats were tasty. My linguine and clams were fresh and the best I've had there, and everyone else thought the sauce for their pasta was brilliant. They portions were generous, the service was as good as it's been, and the ambience has always been good. I've always really wanted to love this place, and now i feel like I do. Mezzo Bistro has earned the update to 5 stars.

Yelp
Steve S is a great server, very patient and helpful. Place is very comfortable albeit a bit noisy, with comfortable chairs and tablecloths. House salad was enough for 3 and excellent. Wine selection is extensive and pours were large with a good house Chianti and Riesling. Chicken Marsala was excellent, easily cut with a fork, with a tasty sauce, large enough for two! Double pork chops were perfectly grilled with great seasoning and good pasta, also very large. Since it was our first visit we enjoyed a complimentary cannoli for dessert! Will be back.

Yelp
From the time we walked in to the time we left food and service were outstanding and amazing. Our server Ali was top notch and made sure we were well taken care of and checked on us frequently. The restaurant had a very comfortable and welcoming vibe. Food is absolutely one of the best places I have eaten at in a long time. The chicken piccata and chicken eggplant Parmesan is a must try. Hot, fresh, full of flavor, large portions and presentation is the best. I definitely will be returning.

Yelp
I come here often but haven't reviewed it in a wile they opened a second room. Still the same great food and service was good. The look of the new room is beautiful.

Yelp
We enjoyed coming here however, I have ordered the filet mignon twice ( one medium and one medium rare) and both times it was extremely difficult to eat due to the quality of the steak and each time it was heavily under seasoned. I had to fight to cut the hamburger steak and chew for a while before I could swallow. I highly recommended the owner look into a different vendor for the steak.

Yelp
Went here for date night. My partner wasn't too fond of his shrimp scampi. I ordered the blackened salmon and it was good however nothing too spectacular. I'm very picky when it comes to desserts but I was honestly not the biggest fan of their cheesecake. It didn't taste like it was made in house. I'd skip dessert if I go again. The service wasn't the best as we felt a bit rushed since they were closing inside even though there was a larger party still out on the patio.

Yelp
Excellent from beginning to end! Great price and even better food! Beautiful white cloth tables. Our server was just as lovely, she kept the drinks coming and when we opted out of dessert because they were out of crembrulee we wanted she so kindly hooked it up with cannolis for our table. We will definitely be back to Mezzo again!

Yelp
We decided to spend valentine day at our favorite local Italian restaurant. It never fails to meet our expectations of great service and good food. Thanks again Mezzo for an enjoyable evening!!!

Yelp
Mezzo's is an amazing Italian restaurant. We came her at 4:15 on a Friday and the food and service was so good. Monday-Friday there is happy hour from 3pm to 5pm. We got the meatball special which was 2 meatball that were huge for 5 dollars. We also got the portobello mushrooms thats were covered in a tasty cheesy cream sauce on a bed of spinach. The portobello were also on the happy hour menu for 11 dollars, and are a must try. For the entree I got the Steak gorgonzola that came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. They steak was so flavorful and tender. Everything was so good! Our server Zach was really nice. Mezzos is so cute and has a nice atmosphere. A very cute place for a date night.

Yelp
Mezzo Bistro and Wine is an American/Italian Restaurant located in the North/West Part of town. It gets busy so reservations are recommended. We didn't have a reservation but they had a few available tables on the patio so we sat there. They start you off with complimentary house baked bread with oil embellished with balsamic and lemon. We tried the grilled vegetables appetizer. It's extra generous in size and also is very good. The vegetables were grilled nicely and were delicious. I tried the one meal on the menu that really isn't Italian....The sesame crusted ahi tuna with wasabi aioli and spinach risotto. It was reasonably good and tasty but not perfect today because the risotto came out cold....My server did offer to heat up the risotto but I declined because the tuna was good and I didn't want my plate taken away...I took the risotto home to have another day. My husband tried the famous American New York Dish called chicken riggies. This plates also generous in size and was packed with lots of rigatoni, cheese, chicken, and other things. We also shared a cannoli that was a nice sweet ending. Service was good and parking was easy and close.

Yelp
The atmosphere was nice. We went on Mother's Day and had made reservations. We thought we got indoor, but the host said they didn't have any extra seating inside so e we sat on the patio. Luckily it was nice outside and not too hot or it would've just been so miserable. It took a while for the server to greet us and get our drink order. The table next to us has a little toddler running loose all over the patio area and food everywhere on the floor and the mom was just letting it happen. Kind of ruined the romantic vibes. When the server came, she was sweet but extremely soft spoken and was wearing a mask, so we could barely hear her. We placed our drink order and needed a minute to look over the menu. It felt like a long time before she came back to take our order so we just posted everything we wanted in case it took Long time for her to come back. My husband and I split the meatball special, garlic cheese bread, and chicken Parmesan with fettuccine instead of spaghetti. The meatballs were phenomenal!! The sauce was so good!! The chicken Parmesan was just ok. My piece was good, but my husband's piece was very tough and dried out, almost like overcooked. He couldn't eat it. The fettuccine came with very little sauce so it was also dry. The garlic cheese bread was good but nothing special. We never got or drinks refilled until our meal was done. I did want to try the tiramisu but we were just ready to get out of there by the time she came around to ask. I think it would've been a much better experience inside and hopefully next time we order something different since this was not the best and we were so excited to try his place because of all the good reviews. Slightly disappointed.

Yelp
We brought a team of 40 from California to Mezzo Bistro, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and handled our large group with ease and professionalism. The food was outstanding--flavorful, fresh, and perfectly prepared. Service was attentive and friendly throughout the entire evening. Their new banquet room is absolutely beautiful--spacious, stylish, and ideal for a group event. What truly set Mezzo Bistro apart was their outstanding coordination and communication leading up to our event. They were awesome in the planning process, ensuring every detail was covered so everything ran perfectly. Mezzo Bistro exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Incredible food, charming ambiance, and amazingly friendly and attentive staff. We enjoyed the perfectly crunchy calamari and savory, delectable, and excellent-sized portion of chicken Marsala. They have also have a trivia night the last Tuesday of the month that is five-star fun!!!

Yelp
Wow what a lovely surprise!! We stopped into this place with our friends to check it out, and I must say that the food was Delicious!! Everything we had was very flavorful and did Not disappoint! We started with complimentary break and olive oil which we felt was pretty good. Our friends Raved about the red sangria and we thought the white was also very good and refreshing as well (red definitely the best). We started with the Italian Antipasto Salad and we would highly recommend! The meats and cheeses on this salad were So good! We also ordered some calamari which was pretty decent as well. For our main courses, we ordered the Filetto Gorgonzola, blackened salmon, and the shrimp fra diavalo which were all very good and cooked to perfection! And don't sleep on those mashed potatoes because they were sooo flavorful and creamy. Lastly, the staff were all very friendly and accommodating to us and the restaurant itself was Beautiful with a dimly lit ambiance for a good evening vibe. Overall, very happy we checked this place out and can't wait to come back!

Yelp
This was my second time coming to this little gem of a restaurant and it did not disappoint. It was pretty empty for a Saturday afternoon, and we were seated for a table for two right away. The atmosphere is so romantic and cozy. We each ordered an appetizer (meatballs and the portebello mushroom) and made it our lunch meal. We also enjoyed the bread and oil before the rest of the food--can't go wrong with that! The portions are huge and everything was DELICIOUS. I was full for most of the day on the mushrooom dish (and bread) alone--yum! Will definitely be returning on an emptier stomach to have more of their scrumptious sounding selections.

Yelp
I'm usually pretty good about getting pictures of the food before everyone digs in but..... you know when the food smells so good you just can't help it? This is one of the instances... Called in an order of chicken fettuccine, Spaghetti and meatballs, and frutti di mare...?? However you spell it.. everything was so good! Kids who are picky eaters loved every bite of the food. Said it was the best place and they are strong advocates of The Olive Gardens fine dining. Massive meatballs that don't leave anyone hungry. Perfect Friday night dinner

Yelp
The ambiance is so inviting at Mezzo. My fav dish is the chicken piccata. The appetizer Calamari dish is crispy and generous.
google avatar

Antoine W.

Yelp
I'm not a fan of Italian food. I feel that it's overpriced for pasta that you can buy in a box and sauce you can buy in a jar. Mezzo made me a believer! You'd wouldn't know it from looking at its location in a small strip of storefronts on Rancho, but it's a cute place: Romantic lighting, a bar against one wall with very comfortable bar seating, an outdoor seating area for those nicer days and evenings, attentive and professional servers. This place can easily hold its own against the more expensive places on The Strip. The Frutti di Mare was a great selection: Equal variety of seafood, manageable portion size for dinner, rich sauce. Just add a little crushed red pepper (I like my food spicy) and it's perfect!

Yelp
Food was 5 out of 10 but service was . Had a coupon and the manager said they no longer accept it even though the coupon said never to expire. Just because they no longer use that service.
google avatar

Yelp
Book early on Tuesdays, they host Trivia night. We had an early dinner ( 4 pm). Nice ambiance, and cozy Italian decor. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. From appetizer to dessert everything was delicious. Hefty portions. Would visit again.

Yelp
Been twice in the last few weeks and have not been disappointed. This place is super cute and cozy and the service is always great. The food is very reasonably priced and the portions are HUGE!! One dish is easily enough for most people to share. I ordered the chicken piccata both times and enjoyed it so much. Their homemade marinara sauce is one of a kind. I highly recommend this place!!
google avatar

Corrina M.

Yelp
The food here is delicious and plenty. The price is also inexpensive. They have a beautiful bar,and a specialty drink of the day.

Yelp
I just saw my CC charges from the Murder Mystery night. $275 per couple for a party of 4. $10.80 CC fee, a 20% tip was included which we didn't see because of the dim lighting, so we tipped 20% again. Our shrimp meals were 5 shrimp floating in buttery pasta. Dessert was 4 donut holes in chocolate. Our cheese and meat board was 5 thin slices of salami, 3 paper thin slices of ham, some olives, assorted small pieces of cheese and a huge pile of grapes. The meatballs were large and delicious. We should have only ordered them. Sadly Mezzo use to be our goto but once burned, twice shy.

Yelp
First time here and OMG!! Place is amazing and staff super friendly, I came in to the bar and I walked into a Harry Potter Murder Mystery!! A lot of members dressed up and employee acting, very nice evening. The food was good and fast. I sign for the weekly news letter to get more events here. 5/5 Edit: Desert just GOOODDDDDD!!!!!!!

Yelp

Yelp
I have been meaning to try this place for quite sometime and I'm so happy that I did. I was greeted and sat by Sean who I later found out is the owner. And Lina was my server, she was fantastic! Great suggestion on the Sauvignon Blanc I chose. I ordered the linguine vongole with white sauce. It was delicious, and a lot of clams that were tender. The restaurant was really intimate and nicely decorated with candles and wine bottles. They even have a gorgeous outdoor dining option. And if the food wasn't satisfying enough, Sean let me try the canola and that cream was so delicious. Probably the best I've ever tasted. Highly recommend this place and check their board with weekly specials.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and the food is good, but the service is pretty consistently horrible... On this particular visit, I had ordered catering for a party. I called the day before to place my order and they said that I could call back the next day before noon but I wanted to ensure my order was ready in time so I insisted on placing it the day before. So they took down my order. I show up to pick up my order the next day at the time scheduled and it was ready. I have a habit to check my pick up orders before I leave the premises and I'm glad I did. I had asked for the chicken parm and penne entree to have sauce on the side so that the chicken wouldn't get soggy. No sauce was given on the side. I had been given a tray of chicken piccata when my order was chicken fettuccine Alfredo. So I took my order back in and waited about 30 mins now for the kitchen to provide me the correct orders (which they ultimately did). But what I was disappointed about was that none of the staff had apologized for this error nor were there any concessions offered for the inconvenience (not that I expected any). I had ordered this food for a birthday party which I ended up being late to because of this error. Overall, a very poor experience end to end. This will likely be my last time supporting this business. I had emailed who I presumed to be the manager (email that was provided on the business card) and haven't heard back after 2 weeks, so I decided to share my experience here so that others don't have the same experience. CHECK YOUR PICK UP ORDERS!!!

Yelp
Diane and I hadn't dined here for several years, so when a friend suggested that we go again, we were game, and I made a reservation. At night's end I regretted not returning sooner. Calamari Fritti--both rings and tentacles--was a very good starter, supplemented for me by a Bowl of Pasta Fagioli and a Chop Salad with Blue Cheese Crumbles, Mozzarella, and a sweet Basil Vinaigrette Dressing. The soup, dominated by beans interspersed with a few Ditalini Pasta, was one of the largest bowls of soup I have ever encountered. And the tossed salad could have easily served two. A complimentary bread basket filled with slightly toasted slices of rustic bread smeared with butter or dipped in Oil & Vinegar added a nice rough texture to our meal. Large portions seemed to be the norm. For, my almost fork-tender Veal Marsala boasted multiple scallops of veal, very sweet Marsala Sauce, and an abundant serving of Angel Hair Pasta saturated with the delectable sauce. And, Diane's Veal Parm Alfredo also sported numerous scallops of veal resting on a swelling bed of Penne Pasta. Unfortunately, her veal was tough. And Diane needed to order extra Alfredo Sauce, which quickly arrived. Our friends liked the Chicken Parm and waxed euphoric over the shrimp-dominated Jambalaya. Cheesy Garlic Bread was also very good. The white-linen-topped tables with mood lighting created a romantic ambiance. And service by Ali M. was excellent. We will return here much sooner the next time.

Yelp
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The service was top notch. The food was pretty good over all! We will be back to see how we can improve on a great dinner

Yelp
My only complaint is the service is lacking. It takes forever for food and service. Good wine list Can get loud at times Does have an outdoor patio in the parking lot

Yelp
A pretty busy Valentines Day! Celebrated with dinner and of course as expected, flavorful Italian cuisine. The Portobello mushrooms is the best appetizer, so delicious. My husband, as vegetarian, had his Fettuccine with mushrooms & spinach (not on the menu). I had the filet Mignon. One thing we missed was the specials. The server didn't mention it to us nor made any suggestions based on my order. He could have ask if I'm interested having it with lobster, the special for the night. We found out after we already placed the order when someone took a picture of what was on a board behind me. And when a couple seated next to us, the server mentioned that the specials are on the back cover. No big deal since we can hardly finish the generous portions served. But that's 1 less of stars.

Yelp
We went here for lunch, my MIL raves about the place and decided to treat us! The ambience gives old school Italian mob wives vibe, it's dark with beautifulllll colored lanterns all throughout! It's beautifully decorated with wine bottles are every turn! It's like getting Piero's without having to go toward The Strip! Very classic Italian vibe. The food was also delicious! My MIL got the antipasti salad which was huge with plenty to go around for the whole table! I got the crab cakes that were in the V-day special menu and my hubby got pizza and his mom Lasagna. Everything came out promptly and tasted so flavorful. Service was also on point, the staff was friendly and answered any questions we had about the menu. We went on Presidents' Day for a late lunch so it wasn't overly crowded, but toward the end things definitely started to pick up! I guess they also play live music during the week which nice, they definitely have that atmosphere for an intimate, romantic evening dinner! We will definitely be back again and take more pics before we dig in lol

Yelp
Good Italian food with good service! Nice place for family, friends and date night. Next time you crave good food, stop by Mezzo's Italian Restaurant.

Yelp
Their food is consistent. Their eggplant is very good. They have a great happy hour. We had made a reservation in early February, and confirmed it on 2/10. It was for Friday 2/14 and when we got there we were told they had no reservation for our party of six.

Yelp
We went here for our anniversary dinner. The ambiance was romantic. There were artificial candles on each table and around the restaurant. It can be dark at times making it difficult to read the menu. Mario was our server. He was knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. He recommended a great drink for me. We had ordered the wedding soup and slit it between us as it was a large serving. It was very delicious. Prior to this we had fresh bread with lemon vinaigrette which was delicious as well. We ordered the meat lasagna and the chicken riggie. When our plates came which were timed perfect after our appetizer. The meals were steaming! Both servings were large and delicious. Both tasted delicious. Mine the chicken riggo had mushrooms, red peppers and chunks of chicken. The meat lasagna had very tender pasta and flavorful meat sauce. Our dessert was chocolate mousse cake and tiramisu. The cake had just the right mixture of chocolate mousse as to not make it tart. The tiramisu was very soft and flavorful as well. We had the Irish cream coffee with dessert. Everything was tasted great. Mario was a wonderful server, always refilling our drinks and clearing plates, but not pushy or forgetting you. Wonderful experience!

Patty R.

Yelp
This was the second time I was here. First time what I ate was very deliah so I decided to go again. This time I ordered setting different. I pred the Chicken Riggies. There was a total of 5 in our party. My food was extremely salty so I was very disappointed. I don't know that I will give this place a try again.

Yelp
Tried Mezzo for the first time this week. They were hosting a Harry Potter themed murder mystery dinner. (They apparently do this a few times a year) it was $70 per person for a three course meal with your choice of entree. There were also appetizers that you could purchase separately. It was a lot of fun. It did start a little slowly, as they said to arrive at 6pm but dinner (and the show) didn't start till 7pm. The food was tasty with good sized portions. (Though since it was served to the entire restaurant at the same time, presentation was a bit sloppy) The decor of the restaurant was enhanced with floating candles and other Harry Potter-esque decor. The tables weren't too close and the seating was comfortable. Definitely an enjoyable dinner and will be coming back.

Yelp
Yes this place is amazing. Family style vibe and the food is so so good!! Reminds me of back home in NY!

Yelp

Yelp
I ordered the beef wellington with some calamari and all I can say is This is the best beef wellington I've ever had, and the service was super quick everyone was super friendly, and the overall surrounding was nice well lighted And definitely gives off 5 star restaurant. I will definetly return

Yelp
Happy hour is from 2 - 5 pm, Mon - Fri. Not a bad selection, it's basically some appetizers with ~$2 off with some discounted beers and house wine. The weird thing is when I usually come in there isn't a hostess, they may not have any? But just hang tight, usually a server will come assist (usually...) It was a nice day outside so I opted for outdoor seating (great decision). The service takes a bit long based on my last 3 visits (one visit i gave up and just walked out) but overall it was a good experience despite a previous experience I had. This is a solid choice for a happy hour and for a meal and I plan to give it another shot.

Yelp
Wonderful Italian spot on the NW side of town. Ample parking, great atmosphere, and delicious food. very generous portions. (So, go really hungry or plan to bring half home for the next day) nice selection of entrees. Be sure to make a reservation.

Yelp
I love coming here with my grandparents. We order to-go catering dishes and they are always hot and tasty. The environment is relaxing and fun. Great lighting for pictures

Yelp
This place is my go-to Italian restaurant. Their food is delicious. The servers are fantastic! And the atmosphere is fun, engaging, and inviting. I've gone with coworkers, close friends, hubby and kids. I've gone to Murder Mystery. Such a fun evening! Every time is always a good time when dining there.

Yelp
Ok, I rarely give food reviews but felt a need to comment about this establishment. I'm a local and had no idea we had such high quality Italian in the Northwest. It's comparable to the best places on the strip, maybe better

Yelp
I've been to the trivia night twice now and it is really fun. The food is delicious (their house made rosemary bread is to die for), staff friendly, and the owner that hosts is great entertainment. I'm working my way through the menu and everything has been great so far.
