Great food and service. Our 2nd time here. Hector, was a attentive and a kind waiter. I will definitely request him next time I bring my family. Best carbonara here in the USA. The guanciale was perfectly toasted. The shallots were sweetly caramelized with white wine. Plus the kale was a nice addition. They gave me dessert for no charge. It was my birthday. The best restaurant in Stockton, CA for sure. We will be back. Don't have to go to North Beach un Sfo. For very gourmet Italian food! Thanks Mezzo! 😀

Date night review: classy business casual ambiance. Small interior but not noisy. Food was absolutely amazing. You could tell the chef took care for teach plate. Server was very attentive. Pictured is a mocktail, appetizer salad featuring rock prawns, shrimp Alfredo entree and pork Marsala entree. 10/10 recommend.

Went for a corporate event. They were being very tight with the servings and what they brought out to our table. We Had 9 people at our table. They brought out one plate of bread for our entire table and the slices were tiny. Everyone got one piece. They brought out two other appetizers, it was the same. It was as if they were afraid they were going to run out of food. When the entrees came, the Bolognese pasta was very salty. The chicken Marsala came on a tray and it was hard to figure out what it was. I thought they were a potatos cut long ways. They were actually chicken cutlets, a clear sauce with some micro mushrooms that were not cut up. It was like an octopus of mushrooms. I make chicken Marsala and it is breaded, this was a hockey puck.. I took one bite and that was enough. The meat was tough. The one thing that was good was the pasta with the white sauce. I'm very surprised the food was of this quality. I had been there years ago when it was a Mediterranean restaurant. Thinking it still was, I told my friend, that is why the food isn't that good because it's a Mediterranean restaurant and they're trying to make Italian food. ..Now I see them on Google and it is really an Italian restaurant 🫣🤷

This place has become a new favorite of mine. It's always a pleasure to eat here and it is clear the chef has an eye for the details. The dishes are modern and aim to hit all the notes, yet are recognizable and not stacked inches high. The menu changes by the season, so the menu never gets dull. Service is very friendly. In particular, their pasta dishes are clearly made to order. My favorites are the crab cakes, short rib ragu, and salmon on black rice. Again, menu is seasonal so these items may not always be available - but try them when they are! My only complaint is that the specials can be really hit or miss.

I came to the restaurant when on a business trip, so I was alone. When I walked in the place was empty and I was told I could only sit at the bar or outside. It was kind of cold but I took the patio just to have a table. Less than 10 minutes later a couple walked in and was seated in the dining room. And they continued to seat in the dining room and no one was seated in the patio. Kind of felt profiled. When I told my waiter this was my first time at the restaurant he didn't explain anything or offer any suggestions he just told me look at the menu and I'll be back! I place my order for a dish that had spare ribs. He said, " You know a spare rib doesn't have a bone, like you're probably used to." Again, I felt profiled and I wanted to walk out right then. I told him that I knew what a spare rib was and I knew what I was ordering. After he brought my food I never saw him again. Was never able to order a second drink. Another waiter cleaned off spilled water on my table, that was there when I was seated. The bus boy picked up my dirty plates. And I sat for about 10 minutes before the waiter ever showed back up again. He never apologized for not coming around. Or asked if I even enjoyed my meal. The food was mediocre. But I may have a tainted opinion because of how bad the service was. I paid my bill and then had to shimmy my way out of an extremely packed dining area. Which was even more frustrating! I really wanted to enjoy this meal. As it was highly recommended from the concierge at my hotel. Oh well they all can't be great right?

What a super dinner. I had Veal and my wife had salmon. All of the wait staff was very good . Great side dishes and dessert. Wine selection was very good as well. Definitely will be back soon. Maybe try there lunches .

So my daughter, and I have been on the search for good authentic pasta. This location claims it’s freshly made, and it was highly rated… big mistake! I did try to give it the benefit of the doubt with the first course, but all of the dishes tasted horrendous. Pretty much Inedible. It was so bad my 11 year old wouldn’t stop roasting it. She went off with “they tried, but tried horribly”, “this is worst than Ohio’s food” (Ohio doesn’t salt/season their food), and “ I don’t eat meat, but I would rather have a steak right now”. This food was so bad in turned my pescatarian daughter back to an omnivore. I guess that’s the only plus in this Situation. I don’t know who’s cooking in the back kitchen, but they lied on their résumé. Well at least my dogs will try freshly made pasta for the first time🥲. Edit: not even my dogs wanted it😢

This is the second time I've had dinner here -- with the same three other people, two of whom are frequent diners here -- and it was much less enjoyable than the first time. It was busy for a Tuesday, and one of our party had made a reservation. We were seated at the one table placed directly in the flow of traffic between the kitchen and the patio. Ugh. When we arrived, there was a four top up front that was empty. We asked to be moved there and the hostess said that it had been booked. That table remained empty the entire night (we stayed until closing - the company and conversation were vastly superior to the seating and dining experience). We expressed our displeasure, but the hostess was indifferent. All night long, people walking that path, both diners and servers, repeatedly banged into the table or one of our chairs. It's obvious management put that table there to increase revenue, but it could have been moved just two feet toward the front and it would have been better. Next time I'm in town, I'll suggest we go elsewhere.

The quality of the food is inconsistent. I ordered the pollo al marsala, a classic Italian dish, but it fell short of expectations. The mushroom sauce hadn't been properly reduced--it was thin and lacked flavor, even though the chicken itself was fresh. If I order this dish again and the sauce is still watery like soup, I'll be sending it back.

Came here on a Saturday night with a group of four. We were seated fairly quickly at the bar, which we preferred, but most of the tables inside were full--so if you're set on a table, expect a bit of a wait. The restaurant itself is small, with maybe eight tables inside, but there's plenty of patio seating available. Service was decent and attentive enough for a busy evening. Drinks: Sangria (8.5/10): Strong, flavorful, and exactly what I wanted. I went with the red--because if you're not getting red wine in your sangria, you're doing it wrong. Lemon Cooler (special menu, 7/10): On the sweeter side, but still refreshing and nicely strong. Food: Truffle Fries: Freshly made to order--hot, crispy, and generously topped with shredded truffle cheese. Carpaccio: I didn't try this since I don't eat red meat, but my cousin (a big carpaccio fan) said it wasn't the traditional style, though she really liked it. The addition of pine nuts and truffle cheese was a nice touch. Arancini: Piping hot and freshly fried with a good balance of corn, cheese, and orzo. Well-seasoned and satisfying. Crab Cakes (off-menu, courtesy of our family friend in the kitchen): Hands down, star of the night. Perfectly fried with a thin, crisp coating that didn't overwhelm the crab. The inside was packed with crab meat--plentiful and flavorful--without the heavy filler you usually find in crab cakes. Honestly, I've had plenty in Maryland (iykyk), and these held their own. The coating added just the right crunch, and they were served on a mustard-based sauce that paired really well. Overall: I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in town. This visit was more about drinks and apps as we were just dropping by to say hi to our family friend, but next time I'm looking forward to trying the entrées.

First timer and this restaurant did not disappoint! Everything was great about this restaurant. Making reservations was easy, the hostess and our waiters were amazing, the vibe of the restaurant is great! The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the fritto misto, torte de granchio, and truffle fries for starters. We ordered the rigatoni bolognese and brasato costola corta. Everything was great, we had an all around great time! Will definitely be returning.

This place was so nice! Super fancy adorable outdoor heated patio outside with a covering so you can use it rain or shine and year round! They give you the most delicious bread services excellent! The bee's knees drink was so good! And everyone was very friendly! I got mushroom risotto it has so many different mushrooms in it and was super super delicious!

Wow! The food, ambiance and hospitality was 10/10. I made it here an hour before closing with a party of 6 and the Mezzo team went above and beyond to accommodate. It took no more than 4 minutes for them to sit us down. I understand sometimes this can be a challenge for some restaurants especially when it's a little closer to closing time. Not the Mezzo team! We had family that came into town for the weekend and I am so glad they got to experience this place with me. The food was absolutely delicious. I wasted no time eating my dish. I ordered the rigatoni bolognese and I honestly would have licked the plate if I wasn't in public. I'm currently thinking about placing a pickup order this week just to encounter that delicious dish again. Yummy! If you enjoy Italian food I HIGHLY suggest you come check this place out!!! Bathrooms were also clean. Also according to an employee they are unisex, ignore the signs.

We frequent this restaurant a few times a year. It's always a pleasure and we enjoy the good food. But gosh it's so cold right now in that restaurant. On a cold evening you want to walk in and feel warmth. It didn't happen this evening. I hate spending a lot of money for dinner and being uncomfortable eating it. And then also our little bread cubettes that we were served were cold. The Caesar salad amazing! Short ribs that my husband had were perfect also. Lentil soup, meh. And what is up with the hostess and her attire? I know she's a young girl and just working part time I'm sure, but goodness sakes, white tennis shoes and jeans? Like she's just been out for a hike or something? Really ruins the whole thing as far as trying to make a statement of what your restaurant is about.

After watching Galactus stretch out Mr. Fantastic like a noodles I was in the mood for some. Anyways.. During the movie a made a reservation for 8:00pm on a Friday night. We get there and are greeted by the host then get asked if we have a reservation? then quickly we get seated. We were giving plenty of time to settled into our table. I believe our waiter was named JT. Gave us our menu and shortly after some bread and oil to snack on. Water was also included. While we looked over the menu he took my adult drink order. Minutes later came a older man wearing something formal. To my wife surprise it was a former employee of The kitchen at stonebrier. He greeted us and told us about his current journey here at Mezzo when I wife asked. He described the specials and answered any questions we had about them. He later said goodbye during our meal. So my noodle craving wasn't meet this night I didn't see cabonara on the menu and I do understand restaurants edited thier menu as the seasons go. We ordered the mushrooms appetizers and the beef carpaccio. Mushrooms where tasty loved the heavy garlic and oil taste. Mushrooms were firm but tender. The beef carpaccio cut so thin it melted in your mouth. Loved the capers and lemon wedge. I actually stoled my wife lemon wedge from her drink to ad more acidity to the carpaccio when a bar tender noticed and brought over extra lemon wedges for me. That's was something special. Later our main dishes arrived. I ordered the ahi tuna dinner and my wife ordered the edited four cheese ravioli. My wife loved the ravioli and I completely enjoyed the ahi tuna steak. The Broccolini had a nice char taste with texture while mash potatoes were silky, good contrast. My wife ordered a peach cobbler of sorts it was super delicious and I ordered a espresso martini for dessert. The food was great along with the service and ambiance. Never felt rushed even being there after closing. Neither did everyone else. Plenty of people still at the bar after closing. Great time at Mezzo.

Stopped by on a Saturday night and it looked pretty busy but got a table for 2 in less than 5 minutes. We received complimentary bread and wow! The bread was super soft and fresh. I would eat 10 plates of their bread! They have specials on top of their main menu. I got the Fettuccine and my boyfriend got the Parmagiano. The portions are great! We definitely were super full. We got a few cocktails. I got the sangria and my boyfriend got the Pineapple Screwdriver. They were delicious and great price! I would recommend!

But for the sloth like preparations of the cocktails which delays the service of the excellent waiters , this would be a 5. This is a great and elegant dining experience which could be enhanced if the bartenders had some purpose and deliberation in making the drinks in a timely fashion. The food is fantastic! There is nothing on the menus that does not deliver

Inviting ambiance. Love the patio. Everyone is on top of their service. And I have no complaints with the food or drinks. One of my favorite places in Stockton.

Great spot for a date night! My favorite part about the food was how hot it was served. I ordered the gamberetti alfredo and it was 10/10! I would definitely order again with extra parm. My husband ordered the brasato costola corta which was full of flavor! For dessert we had the pistachio crème brûlée not pictured below; topped with a chocolate biscotti. It was very delicious with a subtle hint of pistachio. Our server was amazing! His name is J.T. He was super friendly and attentive. He checked on us often which I appreciated! Definitely will be returning in the future. :)

Birthday dinner at Mezzo which was recommended by a friend.. friendly staff, quality ingredients, delicious food. Full bar and great house made desserts. Would come back 5/5

The ambiance here is great! Candlelight (battery operated) and flowers (fake) on every table. There is an outside area however, it was over 100 degrees on the day I went. I will say, however, the ambience of this place would be great for a date night. The food is good and a couple things are great! The Focaccia bread served for free at your table is amazing so is the balsamic in the oil! I could've just had that, it was so good! For appetizers, I tried the calamari, the shrimp, and the deep fried olives. I have never tried a deep-fried olive before, and let me tell you it was the best thing ever! The others just had tempura batter on them and were averagely good. I also tried the artichoke, it is grilled and had a unique flavor. It was good, but not great. I would pass on it it's not worth the money or calories. For dinner, I had the halibut. It was very good. Served with broccolini and mashed potatoes. My only complaint would be that it was served at a slightly over room temperature. I would really appreciate when I get food served that it is piping hot. To be fair I was with a few others, and it was extremely packed in the restaurant. My friend had a pasta dish in which they added chicken to it. I tried a bite of it and was not impressed at all. I do not recommend it. I can't remember the name of it, but you will see a picture of it in my review. It was very salty. Our friend had a hamburger and french fries. It too was average, but I will say at least it was served extremely hot. I took off one star for the food, not being served hot (with the exception of the hamburger and fries) not even the appetizers were served hot. Also, the parking is absolutely horrible. If walking is an issue for you or a concern for any reason, I recommend skipping this place. Overall, I do recommend this place. Check out my photos!

If you enjoy waiting 45 minutes just to place your order this is the place for you. Food was OK but also took another 45 minutes to get it. Our waiter was more interested in hanging out with the other employees at the restaurant. My husband's pork chop didn't really have much flavor and his risotto was burnt. Definitely will not go back. Unfortunately second chances are not something we like to do after spending over $200 on a meal.

A friend and I celebrated our birthmonth at Mezzo. We opted to dine outside for a weekday lunch. Ambiance was wonderful. We were served focaccia bread and olive oil while we waited for our orders- the bread was very tasty! We gobbled it up quickly and asked for a little more:) I had the rigatoni bolognese and she had the market ravioli, both very filling and tasty. I couldn't finish my meal up and took the rest home. My friend seemed to enjoy her meal - which was a 5 cheese ravioli in a creamy sauce that day. The restaurant has more food selection for dinner so we will have to come back. They also have a full bar. I like the location - within walking distance to Brookside homes and businesses and just a couple of minutes from the freeway. Glad to have this italian restaurant so close by!

Im currently in love!.... with Mezzo! Everything about this place satisfies. From the focaccia bread and tapenade through whatever dish you order and PLEASE HAVE DESSERT!! You won't regret! And squeeze in a drink too!

This place is a hidden gem. The food was absolutely amazing. The pasta tasted so fresh. We ordered the salmon plate, mushroom ravioli, balognese, and the shrimp Alfredo. Everything was 10/10 delicious. Not to mention the service was soooo nice! Our hostess started off super sweet and was very accommodating. Our waiter Walter was amazing, he truly went above and beyond for our party and made our mom's birthday beautiful. We sat outside and the ambiance was lovely. They had heaters and it felt toasty even though we were outside. Again, 10/10 recommend.

We found this place while visiting for a funeral. The service was top notch and the food was just as good. Classy place

Bartender Cheryl is amazing!!! 13 people at the bar ordering drinks and dinner... And she handled it all, including drinks for the entire Restaurant! She also rings up all the bills from all the tables throughout the whole restaurant...!!! Pork chop was amazing however it took over 45 minutes to get it to the table and Cheryl apologized profusely. We just hope to heck that she's getting paid for all that she does because she goes above and beyond... and with a genuine smile!

This was a romantic restaurant tucked in the corner. Parking was easy and free. Customer service was good and the workers seemed happy to be there. I tried the Salmone con risotto entree and was disappointed. The salmon was cooked nicely with a crunchy sear outside and moist inside. It was seasoned with salt. The salmon was overpowered by the risotto and the ratio of fish to carbs was quite off. There was a giant blob of risotto topped by a 4 inch slice of salmon. The dish tasted sour against salted fish. There were raw chopped cranberries instead of pomegranate, which made it even more sour.

I desperately needed to get out of the house and decided to try this place out. The server was sweet and helpful. She gave a nice recommendation for a good cocktail. I also thought their outside patio was lovely and peaceful. Unfortunately, the food fell short of my expectations especially for their prices. The calamari could have been perfect had it not been overly salty. I also prefer a good marinara instead of the cream sauces these places nowadays opt out for. My sister ordered the gnocchi and we both thought everything about the sauce tasted strange. Lastly, my burger was nothing special and the bun had a horrible smell to it. It smelled burnt, greasy, and tangy. That's the only way I would describe it.

Absolutely love this place. I was in town helping my cousin move and we needed to grab a bite to eat so decided to come here based on the pictures on Yelp. We ordered the ricotta appetizer which was phenomenal and we ordered the Cesar salad with salmon. The salmon was cooked to perfection wasn't dry at all.

This was not the first time we dinned there. The food has very little flavor. It didn't taste seasoned at all. I've been to many Italian eateries in the past and the food here is below average for flavor. It was both of our dishes. we had chicken cacciatore and shrimp pasta with asparagus..

I was a pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. The patio ambiance is very nice, especially in the evening. They can get very busy so I highly recommend having a reservation. The food was good and I appreciated their menu not being several pages. It was crafted with intention.

Took the in laws out to dinner and had amazing time! Service was perfect and on point from our hostess seating us , to the GM sharing some menu highlights, to JT, our server, being informative and providing the best service. Food was hot, and FRESH. Everyone loved what they ordered. This is going to be our go-to restaurant to experience the best in town! Inside is smaller and intimate, but next time I may try their outside patio. (I would recommend making reservations). They stay busy!

Smoked salmon is really good, so is the pork belly appetizer (not on the menu). Salmon comes out bright red and super fresh. Beet salad is decent too, I got it with side of prawn and dressing on the side. Really like the goat cheese and touch of pomegranate seeds. Service was prompt and attentive. Wine choices are excellent and fairly priced for a restaurant. Tiramisu was okay but a little dry and too thick and creamy for my taste. Kinda prefer mine a little more soaked (but not soggy) if that makes sense. Still very enjoyable. Ambiance is warm, cozy and intimate. Came for a work dinner but could see it being a great place for a date too. Overall a good meal. Would recommend.

Our family and friends had a fantastic time celebrating a very special occasion at Mezzo's. The ease of working with all the staff made organizing the party very enjoyable and worry free. Food service for our large group was so coordinated and timely and especially delicious!! Our friends and family commented how relaxed and beautiful the evening. Thank you Mezzo for making our very special evening wonderful!! This is a hidden gem in Brookside.

It's been a while since I've been to mezzo maybe a year and a half or so but I do remember great ambience and the food was quite tasty. I think I'll need to visit soon and maybe hit up some stores afterwards.

Took my family out here for my mother's birthday for the first time and it was delicious! Left with no more room in my stomach! The service was incredible by all the staff that helped me, they were very attentive. Maria was our waitress and she was wonderful! Was surprised for the service they give to dogs and I loved that they had specific blanket, water bowl, and a menu for dogs. We have lived in the Brookside area for 20+ years and we have never visited the restaurant, thankfully we finally went here!

We came here on a Saturday evening for my mom's birthday and it was the perfect spot for a family dinner. The enclosed patio was spacious, clean, and cute with the bistro lights. The toddler had a great time walking around. Food was excellent. We had the fettuccine carbonara, salmon, rigatoni, cod special, tomato salad, gem salad, and Arancini. I'd order all of these again. Oh, the espresso martini was delicious as well and worth a revisit. Highly recommend for your next family dinner or even a date night.

Services was great couldn't say anything about that the food however taste watered down. No flavor at all. Olive Garden puts them to shame.

Before coming here, make sure to make a reservation! We made a reservation earlier that day and so glad we did because they got really busy. There is a cute outdoor patio which we were seated at. Our waitress was friendly and kept checking in on us. There were other servers making sure our finished plates were out of the way. I love that the ingredients are sourced locally. I am a pasta lover and I was pleased to find out this place had homemade pasta. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend trying Mezzo out.

I'm really pissed off....so my hubby and I had dinner here tonight and I ordered a Cadillac margarita up! Now mind you....it was served in a small martini glass! (Tequila, lime squeeze, orange juice splash, grand marnier, Cointreau) and it was $25.00!!!I had 2! there's no F-ing way that it was $50 worth of booze in those two drinks! this is CRAZY and disappointing! Don't think we'll be going back anytime soon! We got RIPPED OFF!come on this is Stockton NOT New York!!! WTF?

Good food, great service & inviting atmosphere. Definitely planning to return JT and Gerardo were very friendly and insightful on recommendations during our visit.

Just a good average Italian restaurant. Prices are a little high in terms of the quality & taste of their food. Service was decent, but waited for our food for 25 -35 mins & then were quickly rushed out. Cute little restaurant, worth it to try once.

We recently went to Mezzo for a Saint Patrick's Day dinner and it was amazing. Mezzo is definitely one of the best restaurants in Stockton!! The food was delicious and the service was excellent!! I highly recommend the roasted brussel sprouts, the salmon and the raviolis....and salads are wonderful as well. Mezzo keeps their menu fresh and is always a treat. The wine list is great as well.

On a road trip and stopped at Stockton for the night. Found this gem close to our hotel, food is really good. My husband had a bisteca and it was so well prepared. I had a lasagna and it was delicious as well. We travel with two dogs, they even brought a blanket for them. We were seating outside, they have heaters and the place is just neat. Check it out!

We have been for lunch on a few occasions and tried it for dinner last night. It is always good but the dinner was excellent. The halibut special was some of the best we have tried. The rigatoni bolognese is a must. Our table shared the Ravioli entree as an appetizer and it was excellent. Four cheese ravioli. Nice indoor and outdoor patio seating. Great service.

I order the shrimp pasta and the flavor was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend that dish. Will return. I also love that the pasta a home made fresh !!!!!

Excellent service, best Italian food I've ever had at an eat out restaurant! And the prices were very reasonable.

The ambiance was beautiful and very welcoming. service was excellent and she was polite and was able to make suggestions for us. The seating was excellent and we totally were comfortable. I will diffidently recommend this Japanese restaurant. The food was tasty and we were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. +10

The food and service were amazing. This is a fantastic little restaurant, cozy. I went there four times in two weeks. It is that good people start to know your name and extremely friendly.

Best meal we have had here in quite awhile. Food was outstanding from start to finish. Sophia, the new manager, is very hands on. First time ever we got dessert and coffee without a long wait.

After the response, I accept that it was probably just a bad night we chose to come in and they were overwhelmed. I am sorry if I was overly negative. It just didn't feel nice to be ignored and as for asking to speak with anyone, we were in too much of a rush after waiting to be able to do that and I wouldn't have been able to flag someone down anyways because everyone was busy. The chicken sandwich I had for lunch wasn't had enough to complain about. The chicken was just kind of dry and overcooked, but I guess the brioche bun wasn't bad. It was probably a three star meal so I'll update my review to that.

Hubby was so sweet to book us a reservation for Valentine's day dinner, after booking, he mentioned that the restaurant called asking him to put a card on file in order to keep his reservation, which I find interesting that it isn't requested upon booking. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and was told to wait a few minutes for our table to be set. Upon sitting and was obvious it was a busy night, we didn't get our water nor placed our order until a while for our server to get to us. We ordered the four course meal with the Tagliatelle and everything was delicious!! I hope to give this place another try when they aren't so busy as we were waiting for our meal for quite some time and my steak was on the colder side as it arrived. After waiting for so long, I didn't have the energy in me to flag with the waiter and wait longer for it to be cooked. I liked that the menu came with champagne, dishes had great flavor and the price was amazing!

Love this place when I visited Stockton tucked away in Brookside. Host and serving staff was so welcoming and super friendly. I enjoyed the bread and olive oil as a starter in the beginning. The the pasta and salad was delicious and great atmosphere to enjoy a meal and drinks with friends and family. I did have to wait long for food to come out due to a large party that was in the patio at the time.

We had friends visiting from SoCal & they like Italian food so we figured they will enjoy a delicious meal at a low-key yet urbane restaurant in Brookside. We had the Watermelon and tomato salad, which was a hit. They did not offer bottled wine, just glasses only because of covid they say. It's probably best because we shouldn't drink so much anyway. The Landscaped patio seating was great not only because the tables are well spaced but the shrubbery provided privacy and noise abatement. I had the pollo el matte and the girlfriend had the pork chop. The food was great, no complaint there. Service was lovely and welcoming. It's great to be out of the house again.

The purpose of this review is not to go back and forth with Denise. It is true we notified you of our guests who were unable to attend due to family illnesses, out of our control. We provided advanced notice of the change in guest numbers asap and - Denise met this with understanding. Inaccuracies: I have our correspondences and there was never any mention of minimum fee for hosting an event. This detail was never mentioned until Denise's response here. Timing of not being prepared for our event actually took her and her staff well over - 10 minutes. Our tables were not set up according to our layout plans, they were not dressed and set. The staff was literally setting up in front of us, making our party wait, in the heat, with no beverages offered or food as planned. It is no surprise that Denise must not have been overseeing our event, as the charcuterie boards (as orginally ordered and planned and set up for guest's arrival with champagne and cocktails) WERE NOT served before entrees - in fact, I had to remind them our guests needed them, one arrived at our table after salads, while the others arrived during entrees. It's yet another disappointment Denise refutes the truth and tries to cover up. NO STARS. A good lesson for the restaurant is simply acceptance of how Mezzo dropped the ball in execution of our "planned lunch event". Props to *Waiter Jaymard for jumping in and handling the situation with grace and saved the event because he was cordial and able to do what he could with what he had. He had skills in damage control. I thank my family for their understanding and our son offered grace and understanding as well. Thankfully the chef did a nice job. FIVE STARS.
