Mezzogiorno by Francesco Mazzei

Decadent, delicious and an experience. Before starting let me say just one thing - I don’t like particularly boojie restaurants. I find them unwelcoming, boring and at times - intimidating. And most certainly almost always a complete rip off. Mezzogiorno, however, is absolutely not the case! We came here for my girlfriend’s birthday and from the door we were warmly welcomed. Our table was quiet and beautiful and our servers were very attentive, understanding and kind. More importantly - the food was absolutely delicious! We had a few dishes but the tartare definitely stood out. Everything was beautifully flavoured and balanced and the portions were un typically filling. The creme de la creme was the deserts - both the pistachio ice cream and tiramisu were incredible!

We very much enjoyed our meal! The venue is outstanding with truly beautiful decor, and the staff were very friendly and approachable. The food was exceptional. Everything from the bread and olive oil to the fresh, house-made pasta was excellent. The highlight of the meal was definitely the bistecca alla fiorentina—it was a real showstopper.

Had the best lunch! I am from Calabria and I am very satisfied by the quality of all dishes. Staff was so kind and spoiled us. Will come back and recommend to everyone.

A superb restaurant, maybe the single best Italian in London right now. Sourcing was clearly paramount, and every dish was constructed with craftsman like precision. Service was professional and friendly, everyone knew their brief. There are some teething problems with how quickly the dishes come out, but nothing worth missing out on the excellent food.

What a lovely experience. Beautifully crafted Italian food bursting with flavour. Attentive and courteous service. And Francesco himself bringing out dishes and talking to the customers makes for a wonderful experience. Highly recommend

Delicious food in a stunning setting - we loved the octopus ragù, the red shrimp, the lobster pasta, the lasagna, and the pistachio and the ricotta desserts (cacio e pepe could’ve had more pepper and was a bit cold when it arrived). The wine list is extensive though the pricing can be a bit confusing, so make sure to review the prices for each serving size. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the decor is lovely. It’s definitely on the expensive side, though worth it for special occasions.

Amazing experience at Mezzogiorno by Francesco Mazzei. Five stars from all of us at the table. A true Italian restaurant for everyone, including Italians 😅. The Octopus Ragu and Gamberi were excellent. If you like spicy food don’t forget to try the warm nduja with focaccia.I loved the fregola with seafood and the lamb. The pasta was incredible and made fresh, and you can even see the live station as soon as you come in. Let’s not forget about the dessert. Tiramisu, Ricotta e Pere, Aubergine and Chocolate (yes you read that right). Absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere was wonderful, elegant with a lively and welcoming vibe. I loved the music, Italian but not the usual playlist. Well done to the DJ. The team were very helpful with the food menu as there is so much to choose from and everything sounds delicious. There is a lovely selection of wines, and do not forget to check the grappa selection. I wish I could come every week. I will definitely be back soon. 🤞🏼
