Forgive the long review but it is worth reading it. ||I went with my husband, son, daughter in law and baby granddaughter to MGallery Santa Teresa Hotel in Rio de Janeiro in June, 2025. ||My son and his wife had been here four times before and couldn’t wait to bring my husband and I to see the view and to experience the relaxing and rustic atmosphere. Unfortunately the pool area was under construction and there was no view. However, Rafaela (receptionist) and the hotel manager were very apologetic and eager to make our experience outstanding. ||The hotel’s professionalism ranges from the welcoming and helpful doormen to the restaurant staff! Everyone’s goal is to please the guests and to ensure your stay will be comfortable, happy and unforgettable. ||The Spa massages are reportedly wonderful. I wasn’t able to benefit from them, but my children did and raved about them. The restaurant staff is amazing! You can relish in their breakfast menu (weekends they serve an amazing buffet, but weekdays are smaller a la carte options - delicious nevertheless). I highly recommend the shrimp with heart of palm dinner dish. ||Alex, the barman, is a wizard of drinks and a do-it-all friendly helper. The passion fruit caipirinha was my number one favorite drink which Alex prepared perfectly - with low but just right amount of sugar! My husband enjoyed the lemon caipirinha with low sugar also. Alex saw how stressed I was when I arrived with my granddaughter who needed to be fed, and recognized I had forgotten my drink at the bar. He made a new one, brought to my room, and told me it was “on the house”. Attentive and kind.||I am Brazilian/American and am proud to say that Santa Teresa Hotel leaves nothing behind the best hotels in the world. ||Highly, highly, highly recommend it with absolutely no reservation.
