Aramark permanently lays off 344 employees at the Park Theater and MGM Grand Garden Arena - Eater Vegas

"MGM Grand Garden Arena is a 16,800-seat venue in Las Vegas that has been largely closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It recently laid off 164 employees, including 86 bartenders, due to the lack of concerts and events." - Susan Stapleton

A perfect venue for concerts and sports events. Large enough for 20k attendees to enjoy a live event. Safe, secure and spacious. Just attended the Premier Boxing Championship Event featuring Manny Pacquiao and Mario Barrios. It was a fun filled event with a great card. The ease of getting in and out of the event was great. It allowed me to get back to the action to enjoy the rest and the best of what Vegas had to offer.

We attend this location almost annually as part of our company convention. It is capable of supporting a good number of our members. The seats are not very comfortable being hard plastic, and the aisles between the seats are narrow. It is good for a short event. However, spending multiple hours seated can be difficult with a lack of lighting and cramp quarters. It is also difficult to leave the arena when they funnel everyone toward a few exits into the hotel/casino hallways.

This arena is massive and amazing, so much to see! We had a short window to grab food and the parking was a bit confusing (well, it is Vegas on a Friday night!). Still, totally worth it to see all the comedians, especially the one and only Matt Rife! Hilarious, unforgettable night. Just a tip: try to arrive early.

Awesome place to see a concert. Attended Ashley McBryde, Cody Johnson, and Lainey Wilson here Dec '24. I would definitely recommend seeing a show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena!

Park in the mgm parking garage. Do not go through casino rather go to the street level and the arena walk will take less than 5 minutes. If you do go through the casino it will take anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes depending on local events.

This was our first time to see an event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. And my brother and I were extremely happy with the entire facility. Everyone was extremely happy and made the entire experience that much better. As you can see we were there for the Sammy Hagar Best Of All World's Tour Concert and it was absolutely amazing. The sound system Sammy used was incredible and crystal clear that night. I'm sure the Arenas Acoustics definitely helped. We had very good seats but from what it looks like there's truly not a bad seat in the building. It was very easy to get into the Arena, but the only problem was getting out. Only one way out and one way in, and when it's time to leave, it's definitely crazy with everyone going the same way out. ( Part of the Las Vegas experience I suppose lol )... But other than the leaving part it truly is a fantastic facility to see a Live event 😀👍👍

Google
went to see Twenty One Pilots here. Amazing show from them as always. +it's a smaller venue than I thought and easy to walk around + was surprised that there is re entry + the seats were nice, nothing fancy - they should fix how people line up, we were lined up all the way to the casino section and there was no sign or anyone directing from that far - security was a bit rude for snatching a floor wristband off my hands

Google
I would never go to an event at this venue again! It’s a terrible system to enter and exit. Major bottleneck of huge crowds. The seats are unbearable! My knees hit the chair in front so bad it was irritating the girl in front of me and I hated to do that. They are so hard and narrow too and cut into my hips. I’m 5’6 and size 14! Never again.

Yelp
No published doors open time. One way in was a mess. Need to have published Doors Open at XXXX Show at XXXX - when we arrived at the venue security member said door were at 1830 - doors did not actually open until 1930. Poor communication and transparency.

Yelp
One of my friends and I had a comedy show at the Grand Garden Arena at the MGM. We originally arrived at the parking garage at 5:00 P.M for our dinner reservation at Netflix Bites. I didn't realize that the MGM Grand Parking charges $50.00 for special events! If you're staying at a local casino on the strip, I'd recommend walking to the MGM Casino instead of the parking garage. We're locals though and ended up paying for parking. After our dinner at Netflix Bites, we noticed a huge line outside the restaurant. When we asked some of the people in the line, all of them mentioned they were here for the comedy show. We got in line too. It was so busy! I've never seen such a long line for a show before! No outside food was allowed in the venue. We had bottled water, but we had to take off the cap before entry. When we got into the check-in line to go inside the Grand Garden Arena, for some reason, the QR ID mobile application on the AXS app for the show wasn't working. I showed the order receipt to the team member and we were informed that we would have to get a physical print out of the tickets. It was 8:00 P.M, by the time we had arrived at the first security check-in to get into the venue. When we went to the box office, I showed my order form and provided the confirmation number. I also had to provide an ID for the order. It took about 10 minutes to get a physical copy of the tickets and then we had to wait in line again to get to the security check-point. There was a bag check inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena after scanning your tickets to get into the venue. By the time we got to our seats, which was in the 217 row, it was 8:30. The show was supposed to start at 8:00, but luckily, it hadn't started yet! A few minutes after 8:30, the show started! There was a comedian MC, two follow-up comedians, and then the main show! The seats were standard. Even though our two seats were in the 217 row, I could still see the stage and the comedians. There was also large screens to provide you better viewing of the comedians. I had a wonderful time at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. We ended up waiting inside the Arena after the show ended for about 10 minutes before we exited the venue.

Yelp
This was my second visit to the MGM Grand Arena, and what an experience it was! On Friday, I attended the UFC weigh-in. Although I'm not a fan of fights and find violence unappealing, the energy and excitement of the event were undeniable. Then on Saturday, I returned for Andrea Bocelli's concert--and what a contrast! The performance was absolutely breathtaking. It felt like being transported to heaven. Bocelli's talent is unparalleled, and his concert is a must-see. Words cannot fully capture the perfection and extraordinary beauty of the experience. Truly unforgettable!

Yelp
MGM Arena is one of my favorite Arenas to go to, to watch concert. Every time I see an event happening here that I'm interested in, I get excited because the Arena size is perfect, you have a good view no matter where you sit because it seats only holds 17,000 seats for event goers. It's always an amazing time when I come here.

Yelp
Nearly 30 years since the first time, my 17th time seeing Deftones, and finally an arena / festival headliner. Most of the kids on the floor weren't even alive 30 years ago...and I'm old. Setting aside the abysmal exiting policy that slows down everyone attempting to leave after a show The MGM Grand Garden Arena remains an iconic venue that gets it right in terms of sound.
google avatar

Yelp
Latin Grammy Award winner Pepe Aguilar gave concert goers an amazing show filled with great music, memorable performances and colorful visual displays. Beautiful horses circled the interior, one ridden by Pepe and the other two by Pepe's son Leonardo and daughter Angela. The concert was filled with unexpected twists & turns, especially, when a rodeo involving cowboys from the United States and Mexico took center stage when they attempted to ride the bulls. I came for a concert but was treated to a show that would rival a Las Vegas production. If I had to describe my experience, I'd say it was a little cirque du Soleil, mixed in with a little medieval times, accompanied with great music. This was my first time seeing Pepe in concert and it definitely won't be my last. He is an amazing entertainer who possesses great stage presence and has a welcoming and energetic personality. Should you ever have a chance to see him in concert, I recommend you do.

Yelp
MGM Grand Garden Arena has incredible acoustics and superb sound system! Parking is plentiful in the garage. For Nevada residents with valid ID, parking is Free for the first three hours except during special events, just scan the back of your driver license at the parking exit. We attended a fundraising gala for The Shaquille O'Neal Foundation and it was held at this venue. The Event featured a private dinner with table sponsorships ranging from $10,000 to $100,000, a live auction, followed by a public concert. Pricing for a concert ticket starts at $50. Seats in the arena are comfortable. We were in the upper level side seating near the concourse entrance, which made it easy to get to restrooms and concessions. Since we were near the sound stage, we can see the amazing line-up of performance by DJ Pee.Wee (aka Anderson.PaaK), Shaquille O'Neal, host Joel McHale, Jennifer Hudson, Ray Romano, Dan + Shay, and John Legend. This event raised over seven figures for the underserved youth in Las Vegas and funds went towards the construction of a new facility benefiting Boys & Girls Club and Communities In Schools Training and Alumni Center. The MGM Grand Garden Arena is a fabulous venue for concerts, fundraising gala, and conventions. The hallway has a nice concession stand to purchase beverage and food including popcorn and snacks. Everyone in the staff is very courteous, helpful, attentive, and friendly.

Yelp
Three of us attended the Still Raining concert on Nov. 25. We sat in row 1 of Section 1: the riser just behind and to the right of the sound mix stage. This meant peering around the slightly raised mix and the barrier behind it. The sound system was great; Rain's vocals came in crystal clear. The venue isn't so large that even seated where we were, it wasn't that far to the stage so we got great views of Rain and the dancers. I liked the venue; being attached to the MGM Grand made it easy for us as we were staying in The Signature. The size of the arena meant that we could get good views of the stage even if we had seats further away. I would return to see other acts / groups. I can't comment on ticket prices as it was a birthday present to me. We didn't purchase any refreshments but we did stay to buy merchandise. That was well organized and I can't fault the MGM GGA for the lack of merchandise; that's on the show staff.

Yelp
We had a fun time at the show at The Garden Arena. They are very strict as to what you bring in so make sure you check beforehand. As expected, drinks were super expensive. The venue is in the back of the casino too so make sure to allow plenty of time to get to the venue after you get to MGM. My biggest issue was getting out of the show afterwards- it felt like we were stuck in an unmoving sea of humans for a lot longer than it probably was. Overall we had fun though.

Yelp
UPDATE 10/16/23: My last review for the MGM Grand Garden Arena is from April 2017, back when I saw Green Day, so this needs an update! We were here on 10/13/23 to see the bands Shinedown, Papa Roach, and Spiritbox, which was our third concert in three weeks. We missed half of Spiritbox's set due to traffic and the very long walk to the venue from the parking garage (about 15ish minutes). Getting into the venue and finding our seats was easy and we got a great view of the stage. We were in section 214, row D. Here we purchased two sodas, which were a little more expensive than the last concert we went to. I think they were at least $8 each plus tip. We didn't buy any alcoholic drinks this time around, as my boyfriend and I drove here. The soda was good enough for the both of us. Leaving the venue was also easy, but with the same long walk back to the parking garage. It felt a little shorter than I remember, but I do like walking. I wouldn't mind coming back here again for future shows.

Yelp
Huge arena at MGM famous for Boxing events. Plenty of room, plenty of seats and lots of energy. Everyone there is there for the same reason. That reason is to have FUN! So make new friends while you are there. Depending on the fight determines the price of the tickets. Alcohol is also a hefty price. Remember to bring your own to chug before entering and comfortable shoes. Seating is very strict. I had been drinking and felt like throwing up, so I hung out on the platforms overlooking the fight. They told me and everyone else we had to go back to our seats. Parking is $40.00 but don't pay until you leave. Sometimes the gate is already up after 11:00pm.

Yelp
This is my fourth year attending a convention where most events are in this arena. Seating is fairly comfortable and plentiful. The views of the stage are good no matter where you sit. Sound and lighting are great. The restrooms, halls and arena are always clean and climate seems well controlled: not too hot or cold. Staff is always friendly, polite, professional and helpful. Never had any issues.

Yelp
This venue had to be one of the best venues I've ever been to! My GF and I stayed at The Signature by MGM and we had the easiest time getting to the actual venue. We were staying in tower 3 and from there it only took us 9 minutes to walk there. Once we got there, security checks were very quick. We got through there in less than 5 minutes I'd say. They were quick and efficient. Once we were through it was a mad house. Tons of people everywhere. We wanted to buy merch but the line went all the way around the corner and it was just ridiculous. So we sadly decided not to get anything. So we bought a beer and a water. We weren't entirely sure where to go so we asked a couple different people and one person working there took the time to point out where are seats were located. We got to our seats around 8:30. The DJ stopped at around 8:50. Kali Uchis got on right at 9. The show went on until about 10:20-10:30, including the encore! After the show let out, it was another 9-10 minute walk and we were at our hotel room. I love shows that are easily accessible! We'll definitely be back again for a show in the future!

Yelp
Saw my first concert at the Grand Garden Arena this past weekend and actually really enjoyed this venue. Yes, it is very outdated (think plastic seats at a baseball stadium), but aside from the uncomfortable chairs, this arena rocked. The sound system was fantastic and I felt like the lighting effects were almost as good as some of the larger newer stadiums (although, def not as great as ultra new arenas like T-Mobile & Allegiant), but still great. There were ample food & drink stalls as well as plenty of restrooms. It was very easy entering the arena and the majority of the event staff were quite friendly. An added bonus was that they allow you to bring in 1 outside drink, it just needs to be poured into a plastic cup (which they provide)! We brought in some high ABV beers from home, which helped save us a round of overpriced beers once inside; score! Despite needing some renovations, this was a great little gem for concerts. Already searching for the next one we can snag some tickets to!

Yelp
I was so excited to receive $14.97 tickets for John Mayer's concert at the Grand Garden Arena from Vet Tix (a non-profit for military service members and veterans to receive discounted event tickets). We walked over from Delano and I should have remembered how far into MGM Grand the arena is. I love how staffed the event was! It may have been the smoothest and quickest entrance to any event I've ever been to. Upon entering there were multiple lines to scan admission tickets and then as you enter the next set of doors you hit security. Security is so easy that all you do is hold your belongings in your hands and place your hands in the air as you go through the metal detectors. Follow instructions and you can be on your way. Don't be the person who doesn't follow instructions and holds up your line because you need to have them check you. We rushed straight to our seats and avoided the longer merchandise line and concessions. The seats weren't too comfortable and they were small, so you're forced to be inside your neighboring event-goer's bubbles. There aren't any cup holders either, which is probably why someone's drink fell from two rows above and soaked our entire floor. As far as seating goes, I don't think there are any bad seats in the arena, especially since they have a large screen. However, the loges looked incredibly comfortable as compared to our normal seating and I was nearly tempted to move down to occupy an unoccupied loge seat. We left as John Mayer was returning to the stage to sing one last song, so I can't tell you about the madness of exiting the concert. As we exited the staff were all lined up outside and sending us on our way with salutations such as "have a great night", "hope you enjoyed the concert", etc. I thought that was a nice way to end our enjoyable evening. Side note: if you haven't seen John Mayer in concert you're missing out.

Yelp
I would be lying if I said I'd ever truly enjoyed an experience here. I'm sure this was a great venue back in the day, but they've made very few updates since. Most recently, I attended a Cody Johnson concert here. Tickets were quite expensive overall, but we opted for Section 10, Row F, which was a great view. I'm convinced there isn't really a bad seat here - it's set up as a standard mid-sized arena. My biggest complaint here is that there is only 1 concourse, so getting in (around the long drink lines) is awful, and getting out is, frankly, unsafe. The top level, floor, and lower bowl all have to merge out the same tunnels, and then out of only one exit. I happily would have taken the stairs out to avoid the crowd - I didn't even care where I might have ended up, but they had security blocking them off. Speaking of security, this building staffs the company Best Security, which is some of the worst I've seen in my life. These folks are on a total power trip, yelling at everyone not to do something when another "guard" tells you the exact opposite. These people hate their jobs, have the worst attitudes, and seem to be happy to be what stands between you and a fun night. The bathrooms are like a cave, with multiple stalls overflowing and out of order, and no clear path of travel. It's open on both sides where one should be an entrance, and one should be an exit, but instead people line up on both sides. Overall, I mostly dread when an artist I like plays here. It's dark, dingy, and their management practices are terrible.

Yelp
Great venue for concerts! Saw Bad Bunny on 3/5 and the sound was great, seats were spacious enough and it looked like there was not a bad seat in the house! Getting inside the venue & getting drinks however, was CHAOS!! -There were no signs or enough staff directing the crowds to the line. -To scan tickets or to pass metal detector there was no lines, just crowds pushing forward and waving phones in staff members faces to get scanned in. It was a such a mess. -The bar lines inside also moved so so slow.. it took about 20 mins to get a drink in a line where there was about 5 people in front of us..

Yelp
Friendly staff. Food was okay. Seats relatively comfortable. Performance for Andrea Boccelli had good audio but they covered the big screens with some of the speakers, blocking the view. Arena seemed very old and in need of renovations.

Yelp
First time here was UFC 98 - very large venue - sort of older - nothing too fancy but it gets the job done and no matter the seat you will enjoy the evening. Your probably coming here for a music event - I think its a great place for that - beats somewhere outside in an uncontrolled environment - ahem route 9 harvest festival... There is a big difference experiencing something in person versus on TV or on the big screen. More excitement being among friends and strangers all with the same interest. Maybe some really like the fighters and possibly others care more about the bets they made and their ego. Either way its all good harmless fun. In the arena things were so quiet during the actual fights. You could hear every punch very loudly. I don't think there was any background music at all and announcers were not filling in air time at all. I remember the day before meeting some of the fighters and getting some autographs. A chance to ask away any questions and get to know your favorite fighters. Exit and entry was well managed. Sure there is a wait but things were done professionally and as efficiently as possible given the constraints.

Yelp
My husband and I saw Dave Chappelle (and Friends) here during our recent trip to Vegas. He's one of our favorite comedians who's always been a hit every time we saw him and had a lot of fun, but onto the venue... The Grand Garden Arena is the venue located next to the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino that you always see on TV for the fights. You can also walk to the venue by going through the casino. Although it's a huge venue, It's a lot older than it appears on TV and its age definitely shows when the lights are on. We had floor seats and the fold up chairs were dusty. There were a variety of food vendors that were open but the lines were definitely long due to the capacity inside the arena. Checking in for the event and security was quick and there are plentiful staff who will direct you to your seat. Since we had to lock up our phones in pouches due to the event, the process to close them and open them was inefficient since we had to look for particular staff to do so for us. Since Vegas basically is open container just about everywhere, you can also bring your drink inside and they'll provide you with a plastic cup! No need to toss it out. Although the event said "Masks Are Required At All Times" and also gave out masks as a souvenir to all patrons, it wasn't enforced at all, which was a little nerve wrecking for us (It was our first outing being in a large crowd for the past 1.5 years).

Yelp
I was here to see John Mayer a few months ago, and then saw Black Keys a few days ago. This is one of my least favorite music venues in Las Vegas. Always long lines to get any kind of a beverage, the TV ministers to the left and right of the screen don't show anything up close on any opening bands, and the screens are too small. There was a large gap in the railing right where the two sections meet, that seemed dangerous for kids. I will say, the sounds was ok. The lighting wasn't great.

Yelp
My wife and I purchased tickets to see Andrea Bocelli 4 months in advance through AXS at the MGM Grand areana. They were front row seats that cost us a few thousand dollars. We had been looking so forward for months to going and unfortunately had the worst experience possible. We had arrived and were seated by their staff. 30 minutes in to the concert we were asked to vacate our seats as they sat us in the wrong ones. They took us aside and explained that our tickets we purchased had changed as they decided to change the seating plan. We were offered seats that were not anywhere compatible and were made to look like we had tried to steal seats. It was embarrassing as others were looking on at the interaction. We have been going to MGM for years and this was totally unacceptable treatment for any customer let alone someone who has spent thousands of dollars with MGM. We were in the end set aside and told we could sit on the equipment box at the side of the stage with zero view with the staff!!!! This is a "0" rating for MGM as well as their ability to take care of their customers! We recieved an email from their ticketing office that suggested that we should be very happy that it was a "magical" show and they did what they could! Absolutely shameful in everyway!!!!!

Yelp
Their security is a joke and cannot support those with autism or any type of disability because they think that they are club bouncers. We reported the couple behind us, threatening us and their security team did nothing to prevent it and while we were being attacked, they were nowhere to be found. We had to rely on the public around us to get men off of us. If you suffer from any type of disabilities such as anxiety, autism, etc. do not attend a concert here. They're not equipped to protect and serve you.

Yelp
During my recent trip to Las Vegas I met up with family and attended the Andrea Bocelli concert . The Grand Garden Arena is located on the casino level of the Mgm Grand Hotel and Casino. Getting into the venue can be a little confusing with only one entrance for two large rooms but The staff did a good job checking tickets and getting everyone situated. The venue is definitely showing it's age and could use some renovations . The monitors seemed to be a little dated and weren't very crisp but the acoustics was top notch. The seats were pretty comfortable and there didn't seem to be a bad view in the house. There were plenty of concession stands throughout and prices were reasonable. This venue no longer requires proof of vaccination .

Yelp
Saw the Lumineer at this stadium. Ushers are helpful to guide you. Drinks are expensive as usual. Parking is expensive. The parking attendants asked us if we are here for an event or casino. I think patrons who are going to gamble have 3 hours free parking as opposed to events where you have to pay about $35.00

Yelp
Grand Garden Arena is located in MGM Grand Hotel. From the front desk, begin walking through the casino floor and take a right toward the KÀ Box Office. Continue right toward the District walking past Morimoto and International Smoke. The Grand Garden Arena will be on the left after Blizz. There is a list of prohibited items. No bags will be permitted into the venue except for small purses (12″ x 12″x 6″ max). Backpacks of any size are not allowed. BTS Permission to Dance Concert Live Play tickets were sold via AXS.com. Purchased tickets were saved in AXS account via app. We checked in security outside and inside where we were given wrist band. They checked our bags and had us go through security gate. Our seats were located at section 200. There was a photo op and photo booths for free photo of BTS members. The view from our seat was great because i were straight smack in front of the screen. HYBE who is the event coordinator posted on screen that we are supposed to wear masks. Security was not enforcing it. A lady next to me wasn't wear a face masks. One of the food vendor said that bottle water will be capless. Pretzel was extra dry and too chewy. BTS Permission to Dance Concert Live Play was 2nd best to watching live concert in stadium.

Yelp
Came here to see Blake Shelton concert . The concert was awesome...5 stars! However this venue is given 3 stars. There were about 17,000 of us ( so I'm told) all trying to get seated and it's like a cattle call! There is only one main way in, and one way out. There should be more security check points. It took a long time getting in, and once in the arena, it's difficult to see the seat number. The seats are hard and the floor was all sticky even before the concert started. I thought the acoustics was very good, especially since we were sitting so far back from the stage. The bathrooms were ok, but the drink lines were long and moved slowly. I highly recommend seeing Blake Shelton...he is an awesome entertainer, however, I might pick a different venue next time. Then again, if I'm offered Comp tickets to an event, you may twist my arm

Yelp
We had specifically come into town for the event that was hosted by Shaq on 10/2/21. When tickets were purchased, a negative covid test or vaccine was a requirement. Okay cool, bought tickets, airfare, hotel... planned dinner etc. Without going into too much detail, how the security, host, manager of the venue and police officers handled the situation while consistently telling my son they were "sorry" in the same breathe humiliated me, threatened me and discriminated against my race. A formal report was written and I was refunded but I understand it to be the "host" who had requirements BUT it is the way the venue staff handled the situation that has left me emotionally demoralized. I will never come back to this establishment.

Yelp
This was my first trip to the Grand Garden Arena and I got to enjoy the Black Keys, who put on a great show. My wife had seen other shows there previously and spoke well of it. One of the things I appreciate about most venues in LV is that there's really no bad seats. Some of them are further from the stage but you always have a good view of the act that you came to see. This holds true for the Grand Garden Arena and I appreciated that it had a little more of an intimate feel to it than some of the larger spots. We really enjoyed the whole experience and I would have given four stars if it weren't for the parking. We ended up having to park across the street because the line into the garage was ridiculous and I always dock at least one star on principle for places that jack up their parking rates for events. That's a garbage practice in the same crappy league as resort fees.

Yelp
Andrea Bocelli Concert was 5+ stars, but venue was challenging due to our location. The large speakers hanging from the ceiling blocked the big screen which would have been nice to see since our seats were further back Section 23 Row X3 and X4. The large screens would have added to our the experience. But the worst part was the inexperienced or immature ushers (best crowd management employees) who did not know how to manage people during a performance without continuously interrupting the customer experience. Moving people into the arena during a performance should be held back between songs and constant talking with employees about their personal drama was not appreciated during the performance. We had to say something to these people on a number of occasions. It would have been more helpful to keep late arrivals behind the entrance and bring them in the venue between songs. I would rate the Best Crowd Management a 1 star, the venue a 3 star and Andrea Bocelli a 5 star.

Yelp
We attended church here the Sunday after the Pacquiao vs Ugas fight and the venue was beautiful. I am a member of Shepherd of the Hills church in Porter Ranch, Ca, and was ecstatic to see that Manny had their team sent to Vegas to hold church the week of his fight and the Sunday after. It was wonderful to be able to attend my church service while in Vegas.

Yelp
Fantastic venue with great seating and acoustics! The boyfriend and I came to the arena to see Aubrey and the Three Migos concert on October 6, 2018. We're huge Drake/Migos fans and had originally wanted to catch the performance in LA, but found that the Vegas arena was more desirable since it's much smaller so you're closer to the stage. The arena itself is NOT inside a hotel. It is actually located behind MGM Grand so you'll want to pop open Google Maps if you're planning to walk there because it can be a little deceiving. The venue has incredibly lax security. I had a quick bag search, metal wand detector waved at me, and walked through a metal detector before going in. The tickets for this arena force you to print it out but honestly, you don't need to do that since their handheld devices can scan a QR barcode from your mobile device. The arena is still fairly large considering... and the drinks and food for the event are as overpriced as you would expect them to be. Bathrooms are littered throughout the arena which is great, but you can still be stuck waiting for a long time when there's an intermission despite how many stalls they have in the bathrooms. My boyfriend and I were in section 205 which was very close to the mainstage so we had an absolutely terrific view and an overall wonderful experience. I would highly recommend coming here for a performance and am very glad that they did not opt for the T-Mobile arena in our case! (54/100 -- 2018)

Yelp
With all the new, state-of-the-art venues in town, the MGM Grand Garden Arena is starting to show its age. This is still a good place to see a concert, though, for several reasons. First, the sound system is top notch. Even with earplugs, you can clearly hear everything going on up on stage. Second, although the arena is huge the employees are great at shuffling everyone out quickly after the event ends. And third, you can BRING IN YOUR OWN BOOZE as long as you pour it into a plastic cup before going through security. So bring that bottle of liquor or wine or soda whatever, open it up and you're good to go! You can avoid paying the in-arena ripoff prices! Now for the not so good: there aren't nearly enough bathrooms (which means lines get insanely long). Ditto for the concessions. The seats are hard plastic and old school, and they're very small. The nosebleed seats don't have awful views but there are no permanent large video screens so if you're cheap, you can't see what's going on. The pit area is absolutely HUGE, and I see little benefit for paying to stand on the floor because you may end up further back than if you paid for seats on the side. Parking is a zoo on days when there's a show so plan to arrive at least two hours early to minimize stress. And the arena is located at the far end of the sprawling MGM property so you have to walk a long way to get there (allow 20 - 30 minutes to walk once you arrive at the hotel). This is not one of my favorite venues in town but it's not horrible either. You just have to accept it for what it is.

Yelp
Being a combat sports fan, I've always wanted to attend an event at the garden arena. While in Las Vegas for UFC, my buddy and I decided to get tickets for Joe Rogan. Very long and disorganized lines to get through security and ticket checks. After about 15 minutes of waiting, lines moved quickly. Once in the arena, they did make you put a case on your cell phone. Positives: Not a bad seat in the house. Very good sight lines. A bit of nostalgia feeling when you're in the arena as there is such a rich history of sporting events that have taken place there. Easy to find. Negatives: Lack of staffing. 2 registers for each concessions stand. Didn't seem as through they were prepared for the amount of people. Only one entrance to the arena. Major backups when trying to leave the arena. Cramped and uncomfortable seating.

Yelp
3/3/18 While the folks working here are friendly, the ADA seating is just awful! Can not see anything once everyone stands up. Would've been nice to put Wheelchairs higher like where they placed the Loge seating. Spoke to other wheelchair users and they had the same issue. The other music venues in town are much more wheelchair friendly.

Yelp
Came here for the Pacquiao vs. Thurman fight back in 2019. I had an amazing time with my dad. The experience was surreal. Pac knocked Thurman in the first round and eventually won the match. The stadium was almost full, and it was loud!!! Definitely an amazing time.

Yelp
This is the most standard arena I have ever been in. I was here for the Haney Loma fight and when I sit in the nose bleeds, I tend to rely a little bit on the scoreboard to see the fight better. This scoreboard/Videoboard is tiny and trash. I could not see shit for replays. lol Bathroom lines do move fast though!

Yelp
While this seems like a very practical venue for fights and boxing matches, the Grand Garden Area isn't ideal for concerts. The inside of the bowl feels older and kind of dirty with the unpainted concrete walls in the upper deck. I recently visited to see the Ariana Grande concert and there was a bundle of cords tied between the trusses on the ceiling and the A/V stand on the floor, which was distracting and blocked the view for those sitting straightaway from the stage. Doubtful that I'll ever come to another concert at this venue.

Yelp
Been here a few times for a few concerts. The arena is pretty decent and huge size. However, the arena is pretty old so I'm not sure how many upgrades they have done through the years. The bathrooms are horrible -- half of them won't lock. I think one time, I literally went into like 6 stalls before I found one that could lock. Except it didn't have a hook for me to hang my purse. They really need to update the bathrooms. The seats in the arena are extremely uncomfortable. I mean, they're plastic -- yeah, I get that. So if an event lasts for longer than an hour, my back starts to hurt and my butt starts to hurt as well. Not perfect. Not the worst, I guess?

Yelp
Bad Bunny Concert 2022 Event was amazing, this venue...not so much. To start there was a total of 3 security guards handling the outside lines and the doors opened late. With a sold out event, this was chaos, people were cutting and fighting, and there was no direction as to where to go. After this line everyone was herded into a larger area before being moved to a small entrance room. At this point there were no lines, just everyone pushing to the front to get their tickets scanned. Following this nonsense, we here herded into another room for security checks, with still zero organization. This whole fiasco took almost an hour and a half. The venue itself is dated, chairs are plastic stadium chairs, the bars are small, and SLOW. It took us almost 50 minutes to get drinks. I would try to avoid this venue if possible.

Yelp
When I'm Vegas you have to make sure you come to a boxing match, I was blessed enough to go see deontay and Ortiz. The arena is amazing because no matter where you sit, the views are amazing. The staff is super friendly and the food was good. Not to mention double patron cups are only $22 lol so coming from New York where double patron is $42 this is an absolute steal. Overall, a great environment and a great time.

Yelp
Nose bleed section. Could not see performers (even with 20/15 vision). Couldn't see live video feed because of objects hanging from overhead structure. Not worth $200/seat!!! Worst venue we have Ever been to.

Yelp
Twins of Evil Round Two 2018 of what was never supposed to happen until now..... Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson have joined again to provide some much need mauvais to us! Deadly Apples was the opening act for the evening. Red strobes with hints of white blanket the crowd as the bass kicks up and we're off to an evening of great infection of realization! The friendly staff here at the arena was highly professional at handling the amount of individuals that are coming out for this show! We did not even have to wait in the security line very long! Wow they actually had a staff that knew there jobs and how to carry them out! Fantastic! One knows that it is going to be a good concert when as you pass from the security line and there is a warning sign that reads: "strobes in effect tonight could be hazardous to ones health!" Rock on; strobe lights and pyrotechnics make the show even more dangerous and damaging! This is not my first visit to the arena here, but it is the first time where it was so crowded. As we passed through the security gates into the arena the crowds were massive. Everyone wants a beer and a T-shirt. Although once you make your way through the mass of people the friendly staff are present everywhere to point you to your seat. The employees here wear bright colored shirts so they stick out when you need help finding your way around! This is so awesome, since I am horrible at direction. Being female direction loss is innate and I cannot use Google Maps inside the venue. I appreciated the staff that pointed me to my seat area many times. The sound quality of the show was killer. The electronics that delivered the vibrations and musical sensations were over the top. While Rob Zombie was playing the bass was so impressive and overwhelming that it could of doubled as a pulse. The quality of sound can be heard from every angle of the amphitheater too. On this occasion our seats were in the upper tiers so being able to hear Zombie like I was in the mosh area was very amazing. I recommend eating before coming to the arena, due to the simple fact that the food is delicious. That goes without saying, but the prices for that food is not even worth talking about. We live in the desert so you cannot go without something to drink. At the show I ended up ordering from the individual vendors that walk around and sell beer and water. These individuals work for the arena, but make their money based on how smart and talented they are. Let me elaborate. The individual beer vendors that walk around carry 60 or more lbs to make their living, the more beer and water they sell the more money they make. Most of these vendors make a $1.50 a can plus tips off their sales at the end of the day! I would rather support the locals that are working hard for their coin then stand in line. Plus the individual beer vendors bring the beer and water to you, it's a win-win. You reward them with a tip for their courteous service. Period! From the laser lights to the fabulous job that MGM arena did for bringing these two bands together in one venue is something that I will appreciate always. Being able to share it with the twins and my oldest are memories we will have for a life time.

Yelp
Tesla, Poison, Def Leppard Concert Let me 1st start off by saying I have attended several concerts in Vegas, but the disorganization of the MGM Grand Garden Arena staff was ridiculous. I honestly don't think they knew what they were doing when it came time to have people enter the arena. I expected more since they frequently host large concerts and all of the big fights. The staff had us lined up, trying to u-turn guests, but then redirected us to another route outside to enter from a completely different area which caused us to miss most of Tesla. The actual venue is nice, with great sound, and concessions, but YUCK for the staffs level of disorganization.

Yelp
Been here countless times for numerous concerts over the past 20-25 years (.... damn....). First concert ever being Neal Diamond, most recently Jay Chou. This had been the largest arena in Vegas until T-mobile arena was built. Never had too much complications getting in/out of the arena. I had heard there was complications with security at a concert last year which took literally hours Arena setup varies depending on stage design and what not. Typically it'll use the far end of the arena for stage. Rarely stage will be in the center and viewed from all sides. Seats are a bit uncomfortable though and mildly cramped. Hard to turn to the side for people to pass, requiring you to stand up (especially if you are tall) I've never bought concessions or drinks here so can't really comment about that. I've had the opportunity to go backstage once which was an unforgettable experience for me. Experiences vary depending on artist and setup.

Yelp
I experienced Andre Bocelli's concert earlier this week. The concert, the performance, the lighting, the sound, and the surprise performances of his son and daughter were delightful. Honestly, there isn't a bad seat in the house, but the safety issues must be addressed. The steps and the guard rail are black. I couldn't see the handrail until I practically ran into it. This is no big deal unless there are folks pressing in behind you and trying to cut you off as they head back to their important lives. It was the same press of people heading in and heading out of the venue. Has the fire marshall ever witnessed the mass of people marching shoulder to shoulder in lockstep all the way to self-parking? It's difficult for me to believe you haven't addressed this issue after almost thirty years. Seriously, if someone had yelled "fire", "gun", or "bomb", or simply pushed hard enough people would have been seriously injured. If you believe we will be tempted to stop and gamble, have a drink, ice cream, or food all venues were full and all seats were taken. And one other thing, for first-time visitors. From self-parking to the arena is a long walk, through crowded corridors. Wear your comfortable shoes! Almost forgot! Golden Kudos to the garage personnel! We were in and out speedy quick.

Yelp
Finally after many many years I got see a UFC here at the MGM grand arena. For an arena that fits 11-13k tops there really isn't a bad seat in the building. The arena is in the back of the casino on that leads out to the MGM pool/Wet Repubic. The concession food totally sucks even for concession standards but all is forgiven for one simple thing. You're allowed to bring in outside drinks into the building as long as it's in a clear cup. They even provid you with clear cups to switch out your drink. I made sure to take advantage of that when I came back the next day for the 2nd UFC show of the week. I pre-partied my ass off so I wouldn't have to bother paying $15 for a cocktail at the stand in the arena.
