I stopped by here after an appointment in the main building of the complex. Not knowing anything about this place I decided to give it a shot. Well, I was very impressed with the food and the quantity they provide. The service was pleasant..nothing spectacular but the folks here were polite. The environment was alright. Seating was in the form of high stools, sort of pub style, at tables and it was quiet while I ate. I plan on going back to try a few other items on their menu and I would recommend you given this place a try!

Tried the chicken sandwich and duck fries—both were delicious! My wife had the chicken fried rice and loved the big portion. Great flavor, great value. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
I recently visited Mi&Yu Noodle Bar and was blown away by the incredible food and excellent service! I ordered the shrimp and roast duck carnita bao buns, which were absolutely delicious. The buns were soft and fluffy, and the filling was packed with flavor. The combination of tender shrimp and succulent roast duck was a real treat! I also ordered the Thai curry shrimp Ja-Jang ramen, and it was a true masterpiece. The broth was rich and creamy, with just the right amount of spice. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the shrimp was plump and juicy. It was the perfect dish for a chilly day. The service at Mi&Yu Noodle Bar was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was clean and trendy. I felt very comfortable and welcomed by the staff. I give this place five stars for their outstanding food, service, and atmosphere. I will definitely be back for more of their delicious food. If you're looking for a great noodle bar, this is the place to be!

Google
I usually never write reviews unless I had a very good or bad experience somewhere, BUT I AM JUST AMAZED AT HOW GOOD THE FOOD IS HERE!!! I came here as I was craving noodles one day. This location popped up as I was searching for noodle places, so I thought I would give it a try. This place hit the exact taste I was looking for!!!! I highly recommend the ja-jang and the mazemen!!!! I ordered this for my family and I during lunch, and they were amazed and pleased with the taste as well!! The price is also not bad and not too overpriced!

Mi & Yu finally opens in Hampden, Baltimore! Seriously delicious noodles & fresh homemade broths. Duck Fat French Fries 🔥🔥🔥 Chinese steamed buns. A big favorite, always satisfies.

Google
So I just got the spicy seafood udon noodle seasoned to perfection now I'm also a cook. When I say I love when people take pride in what they do, this is what I'm talking about everything was fresh and done in a timely matter. Will definity order again

Google
Ive been coming here & ordering via 3rd party vendors for a few months now and the food is so tasty but I am noticing more and more disappointing mistakes both in person and online. Today I ordered a chicken bao w/ no mayo through DoorDash but got a chicken sandwich (not the bao bun) with the cole slaw topping (aka mayo). The completely wrong order - and this isn't the first time this has happened. I’ve let it go in the past but now it seems to be a downward trend. Please, staff, be careful and not careless because you make delicious food - I just want the correct order.

Google
I visited this restaurant back in October. When I went, the service was fast and the food was good! I am a big fan of anything duck and ordered the mazemen noodles adobo roast duck w/ duck jus. I loved it and definitely recommend it if you like dry noodles! The fries are good too! My boyfriend ordered a chicken sandwich and said it was decent. All in all, it’s a good place for a quick take out meal.

Yelp
Mi and Yu Noodle Bar is a delicious multi-ethnic, Asian fast casual restaurant serving ramen, broth and brothless bowls, American-inspired sandwiches and apps, bao buns, sammies, fried rice, and more. It is located at The Rotunda in Hampden. The food is delicious and it is obvious the food is chef-inspired and effort it placed into the execution and packaging. The restaurants has tables to dine-in, but their take-out operation is notable. The inside is also clean and staff are welcoming. I will visit again when in the area.

Yelp
My first time ever ordering from this restaurant was on DoorDash. I ordered the chicken ji-jang. The noodles were old, cold, and hard. They had congealed in the bottom of the bowl and you could not even break them up with a fork. The boiled egg was also cold. Half of the hard noodles were plain the other half had the black sauce on it and you could not mix it up because they were cold and hard. The three pieces of chopped up chicken were tasty. I think it's terrible when restaurants send subpar food through delivery services. 3/10 probably wouldn't go again

Yelp
Quiet, efficient ramen! I love this place. We both got the brazed beef ramen. So good and so filling. Always hot.

Yelp
I love the new location!! It's in the Rotunda neighborhood in Baltimore. They moved from Federal Hill area and I think that was a smart move! The food here is delicious, fresh, and flavorful. My go to for Ramen when I'm in Baltimore. The Bento box was a nice variety too. No crumbs left. They also do takeout so if you want this at home definitely get it to go. I recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back!!

Yelp
I've loved Mi & Yu ever since we started eating at the fed hill location. Tonight we got it for the first time in months, and it was amazing. Not sure if it was the best batch ever, or if we had forgotten how amazing it was, but oh man. Can't wait to have it again. The beef dashi is incredible.
google avatar

Yelp
I have been a fan of Mi & Yu's bowls & tea/lemonades for awhile, but recently tried their tempura vegetables... delicious! Lightly battered and you get a variety of veggies. This time I got green beans, asparagus, sweet potato and zucchini (they also have a shrimp option as well). Service is always friendly and quick!

Yelp
I came in before my movie for a quick bite. They have certain menu items enlarged with photos to help people with their decisions. I walked up to the register and I was helped within 3 minutes. I ordered the duck ramen... you heard me DUCK RAMEN This is a flavor bomb from the perfectly cooked noodles to the generous portion of duck. Down the the fresh carrots and green onions all the way to that gorgeous egg. A bowl of literal heaven and happiness. The restaurant has a few high top community tables. There's a simple dining room experience but it reminds me of a bunch of the spots I checked out in Japan.
google avatar

Yelp
Love the versatility of this Asian fusion restaurant! My favorite is the custom noodle bowl where you can pick your protein/meat, soup base, noodle type. My only suggestion is for the noodles to be cooked more al-dente. They also have a variety of other foods on the menu. Portion sizes are generous for a reasonable price. There's a good amount of indoor self-seating, and the service is very quick. Small but cozy restaurant space!

Yelp
Mi and Yu has been my regular go to, when introducing friends to elevated Ramen. You can't go wrong with the Pho noodles, Adobo duck broth and back rib. The BBQ pork belly bao buns are also out of sight. The dine in, is very low key, shared tables and stool affair.

Chris Q.

Yelp
In a nice area next to Icon. Their mazemen noodles (brothless ramen) has been my all-time favorite. I'm here every week getting that. Really yummy, highly, highly recommend trying their brothless ramen

Yelp
It's only been a month since our last visit, but the new owner continues to make changes for the worse. The sambal duck broth is now bright red due to the addition of entirely too much sambal to the regular adobo duck broth. It's now too spicy to enjoy & causes even more reflux than it did the last time I had it. It's also void of any kimchi, so the crunchy textural component & more subtle flavoring are both completely missing; I haven't had the regular adobo duck broth recently, but I suspect that the latter is true for it as well. Fortunately, I had just purchased some kimchi a few days before and was able to doctor it up a bit. The protein portions have also shrunk noticeably in the past month as well, and the prices haven't decreased to reflect that. I received three smallish pieces of pork belly, where I'd previously received five decent-sized pieces. $5 for added duck yielded maybe 1/4 cup of it, and the miso beef is also a smaller portion of less-flavorful shredded beef, instead of the previous larger beef slices. It seems that in reducing costs, they also reduced the quality and quantity of the ingredients in order to afford the much-higher rent at The Rotunda. The former Charles St. location would've been more affordable, but they chose "the new hotness" instead. Unfortunately, I think that these recent cost-cutting changes, in conjunction with the higher rent will spell the end of the final Mi & Yu Noodle Bar in the relatively near-future. It was great while it lasted, but we'll very likely not be back after this. Now, I'm off to figure out how to make my own adobo duck broth. I already make better sliced miso beef than what's being served there now.

Yelp
Recently ate at Mi & Yu Noodle Bar on our way to the lights on 34th Street in Hampden. This is a casual stop to get some really good bowls. You pick your protein (I had the fried chicken) your noodle (Pho) and your broth (Miso). The bowl was flavorful and very filling. Most of our party had to get Take Away containers.

Yelp
I've lived at the rotunda / icon and figured if I'm that close to home I should probably just make food at home, until one day when I was coming back from a long day of errands and looked through all the menus in the area and decided to check out this place. It far exceeded my expectations!! Great, quality food!! My only suggestion is either bring it home and dump it into a larger bowl so that you can mix it, or ask for another container, as they shove it FULL! You EASILY get your money's worth!! Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
I haven't had Mi & Yu in a long time and was super impressed. The staff was helpful when I was ordering and helped me order. I got ramen with fried chicken. The chicken was very favorite and made for a perfect bowl of soup for a cold day!
google avatar

Sarah K.

Yelp
A friend told me about Mi & Yu ramen so thought I'd give it a shot, and to be honest was a little disappointed with the overall food quality. I got the pork belly baos to start, which had great flavor but overly saucy making the buns soggy. The ramen was also overly salty and lacked flavor depth. I wasn't impressed with the noodle texture either, which is usually what I look for most in a bowl of ramen. The restaurant was clean and service was quick. However, I'll probably be trying a new ramen spot in the future.

Yelp
This is awful to even serve something like this!!! I will never go here again. Customer service awful, he going say I don't know what you want me to do! Wow never again!
google avatar

Deb C.

Yelp
Cleanliness 2/5 Customer service 5/5 Ramen 3/5-good and super hot! It tasted like it could a bit more depth of flavor though. Price is very expensive but that's usually expected around this area. I might come back here The wings were amazinggg 10/5!!

Jennie H.

Yelp
Rarely leave reviews but this business is quite literally stealing money from their patrons. The in-store prices are markedly cheaper than ordering online FROM THEIR WEBSITE. There's a difference of $4 between menu items in store and ordered directly from their website. That is absurd and unethical. Poor business practice and lack of concern for your customer base explains why there used to be multiple locations and are now down to one. The quality does not at all reflect the exorbitant prices. Absurd.

Yelp
I absolutely don't wish to write this, however, it must be done. I went to the Mi and Yu in the Rotunda/40th street tonight. Because I didn't want to drive to the *ORIGINAL, downtown location. I placed an order for one of my favorite meals for ramen tonight. The marinated short ribs, and it was absolutely atrocious. Sliced so thin, and so dry, it literally looked, and tasted like it was (fresh) beef jerky. All the secondary, and third locations should go down to the original store, then study what they do. Go back to their store's, and EXECUTE! Uniformity can, and will absolutely BREAK a small franchise. Especially if they're all creating different flavors, textures, and portions. It was so bad between the ramen, and the Bao buns with the same beef cut? Im ready to take it to the original store during lunch, just to show the extremely different looks and flavors. It's time to retrain the entire staff at this juncture. Or,,,,or,,,,,never allow them to dine at the original store. Because they will be writing a similar review.
google avatar

Kenyetta C.

Yelp
This a cool place to eat. There is some seating inside for indoor dining. Of course, because of the area, there is outdoor dining for all the eateries in the area. They had many choices. I chose the veggie broth and ramen noodles. It was well seasoned. The employees were friendly and was helpful with going over the menu options. Since this is the rotunda, parking may or may not be easy. It's always a hit or miss here for street parking. There's always the garage.

Yelp
I find it amazing after my honest review that was given careful consideration before I posted it after several times as a patron of Mi and Yu that a review posted directly after mine had such a wonderful experience at the restaurant . I want what they had. I want to experience what they did, but I did not the food was not good. The noodles melted into the miso broth the so-called pho noodles were terrible. As was the beef that was presented in shreds not slices as you would expect when you get a pho dish. I will never buy another dish from that restaurant and I don't think anyone else should either but when I come up to UPS, I'll come over and talk to the owner in person if you don't get it right you will keep on getting it wrong Have a good afternoon.

Yelp
Rotunda place and the parking is easy. Came for a banh mi bit couldn't resist trying a bbq pork belly sandwich and fries. They have adobo duck and Korean fried chicken. This truly is asian fusion. Make sure you let them Know if you want your fries spicy or you get the savory ones. 90% of the fries are excellent and salty/spicy. The fries themselves are a meal!

Andre T.

Yelp
Destination worthy. The meatball and beef dashi bowl is one of the best and most flavorful items in Baltimore. Fried chicken buns are amazing as well.

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
I thought this was the original Mi & Yu that used to be connected to the Mt Vernon market but it's been bought by someone else and the pho is nowhere near as good. It was okayyy in its new incarnation, but I probably wouldn't go back. Just not that tasty, clean, or fresh anymore. Noodles are different.

B E.

Yelp
Beef was dry, chicken was fatty. Bad buns were just okay. Was not horrible but really nothing I would go back for.
google avatar

Yelp
I like this spot. I've been coming here since they first opened up, and they've never disappointed me. You can kinda make your own bowl, but they have a lot of dishes that they've cultivated for you. I've gotten everything here except the buns. The typical ramen is great, but I've recently been liking the brothless ramen as well! I love how the tofu is cooked here. All of the broths here have dairy in them, so I'm glad the brothless option is there. A lot of people seem to order takeout -- whenever I'm waiting for my food, at least 5 people come in to grab an order. That being said, it must be a good option. Definitely a good spot to grab lunch in the area or if you live nearby!
google avatar

Andrew W.

Yelp
Ordered ramen with Korean fried chicken in a savory miso broth. Food came quick. Bad sign. Chicken was way overcooked so was not fresh fried. The noodles were undercooked. The eggs were cold. The place was slow and yet there was an unsightly stack of bowls piled high in the small dining area. Still searching for a good spot for quality ramen bowl.
google avatar

Cleo P.

Yelp
I went to Mi & Yu noodle bar on Mother's Day to celebrate quietly and it was amazing. The fried curry shrimp are always cooked to perfection. The egg roll was packed full of crab and flavor. Nothing beats the bao buns regardless of the filling but the pork belly is my favorite. You can't go wrong with whatever you order here.

Lena G.

Yelp
My friend and I were not impressed. We spent over $50 for a bento box and a pho soup bowl for lunch and it was pretty flavorless. All the food could have used more salt and flavor. Probably will not go back.
google avatar

Galen S.

Yelp
We went on a Tuesday afternoon and had great service. There is plenty of parking around and there is a great outdoor area as well. I got the soy miso beef ramen with spicy miso broth that was phenomenal. The portion was great, the broth was rich, the beef was tender, and the ramen eggs were cooked to perfection. Great ramen place!

Sandra P.

Yelp
Ordered the pork mazemen. The flavors were awesome but the meat was mostly Fat. I know port has a lot of fat but this was ridiculous. Will not try delivered pork again need to be there in person to reject quality issues.
google avatar

Malikah M.

Yelp
My favorite Ramen spot. There adobo duck broth is the best broth I've ever had. Once you add there pork belly and curly noodles this is the only thing you will ever crave on a cold day. When I want to treat myself I drive all the way to Baltimore and search for parking just for a hot bowl of ramen.
google avatar

Jed W.

Yelp
Another fabulous meal at Mi and Yu. Again the pork belly baos and beef dashi Ramen were stellar. I brought my 3 year old this time and, pro tip, they will give you a side of ramen noodles with butter for the little ones. Just like buttered pasta! Of course the kids love the duck fat fries too and though they come with aioli, they're happy to give you ketchup on request.
google avatar

Lashanda L.

Yelp
I was a big fan of the storefront at the market place in mount Vernon, but my noodles here were not up to par. My husband and I ordered the same noodles and protein (different broth) but his bowl was more full than mine. That's fine because I couldn't finish the portion I was served. Still, The noodles didn't give me the chew I was searching for and were too mushy. The pork was delightful and tasty. Looking at other reviews, this place may be hit or miss.
google avatar

Ed M.

Yelp
We were craving some noodles on a cold night and had heard great things about this spot. This is almost like a "make your own" noodle bowl joint. They allow you to choose your broth, noodle type, and meat which is really nice. The braised beef bao buns are a must. The meat is tender and they put delicious shredded veggies and a creamy sauce on top. Both of our ramens bowls were SUPER flavorful. We've found other ramen places that are good, but when it comes to the broth they can be a little bland. The savory and spicy miso broths were both amazing. The portions are large and we left with lots of leftovers for later. Definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for noodles!

Yelp
Came here after coming past it going to get my chicken fix at The Local Fry numerous times. Due to COVID, I placed my order via Postmates (I got the beef dashi broth with udon noodles and cabbage; total cost ~ $16) and selected immediate pickup since I was in the area. I received a confirmation email with my order number and the time it would be ready (~20 minutes). I received another text when my order was ready to pickup. I proceeded to the restaurant and upon entering, they had the chairs up on the tables to discourage eating on-site due to COVID. A good thing. I was greeted by a pleasant young lady, gave her my name and she handed me my order. Upon arriving home, I unpacked my order: noodles and beef, broth and matchstick slaw and onions all in separate containers. I was a bit disappointed in the volume of noodles I received as it was half of a small container that you get deli salads in. Extra noodles would have been an additional $3.50 and being that this was my first time ordering here, I didn't want to order extra and then have to many. The beef slices were placed on top of the noodles. There were 4 pieces roughly the size of a matchbook (who still uses them!). The broth was filled to the brim in a tall plastic container, roughly the size and height of two of the smaller ones. The other container of matchstick slaw, sliced egg, and onions was filled, but not full, in one of the small containers. I proceeded to put together my deconstructed noodle bowl and it was just an okay for me. The beef was tender, but a little too sweet for me. My main issue was that for close to $16, the ratio of broth to noodle to meat was not there. It would have been nice to have the small container loaded with the udon and I could then have maybe justified the price....no, I can't, given the fact that I have had similar udon noodle bowls in Hawaii and San Francisco at half the cost and double the food content. All in all, I'm gonna give it a hard pass on noodle bowls, but I would like to visit again to try some of the other menu items. I just hope the dish justify the cost.

Yelp
I had the spicy Korean chicken sandwich, it was neither Korean nor spicy in my point of view. Chicken kinda came out lukewarm, i thought it was going to be piping tho i had a 5 or so min drive back. Meh, i liked the slaw tho and the price point was not bad $8.50
google avatar

J H.

Yelp
it was not terrible but not spectacular the broth was a bit salty but the beef was good
google avatar

TingJia L.

Yelp
I had cravings for ramen but sadly was left without an appetite and hungry. I got the Herbed Meatballs (mix of ribs and bbq pork) with savory miso broth and extra egg. The packaging and ordering was easy It was also super hot which was nice. However the smell and taste was just awful. Since it was my first experience here - it may have been what I chose but it was pungent with a fermented yeast smell. I took one spoonful of the soup and couldn't take it anymore. I had to throw the rest away and take the trash out it was so pungent. I did eat the ramen outside of the broth- which was okay. The side of vegetables wasn't really pickled and also regular. Overall really underwhelming and I don't think I will be getting ramen here anymore. I also got a side of chicken wings which were standard good, crispy and delicious. But the sauce that you order was on the side and is not mixed in with the chicken wings.

Grace D.

Yelp
This was the bomb. Noodles that will heal the soul. I got carry out but the place is cute and efficient.
google avatar

Vanessa B.

Yelp
10/10, the baos were delicious with some lightly pickled veggies and the fried tofu was so crispy and delicious. The noodles were flavorful - my husband always prefers ramen with next to no broth, so finding this vegetarian mazemen was his dream. Serving size was hefty (especially when paired with one bao bun each), so we each saved half to eat the next day as leftovers. The noodles reheated really well. No indoor seating because of COVID, but service was quick and there were plenty of outdoor tables available in the square.
google avatar

Susan O.

Yelp
My family and I have been to Mi&Yu twice since it's opening. The dishes we tried were very good. We ordered the miso soy short ribs which was wonderful tasting, also red Thai curry and another dish with roasted duck that I've forgotten the name of. We'll definitely be heading there again soon.
google avatar

Misti M.

Yelp
I have done take out and delivery from the Rotunda location and have been pleased with the noodles! The dish I always get is $12 - but it always is enough for at least two meals! (I've tried to do it in one meal, but that is just too much food!) After seeing the noodle / broth portion, a few times I've ordered a second helping of protein (very inexpensive) or a second egg to make the one order into dinner for two. I typically go for the spicy miso and tofu - haven't been disappointed! It has been a while since I've been the one to pick up, so I can't comment on their COVID safety.

Yelp
One of my favorites places for Ramen. You have an option to create your own Ramen by blending in whatever you want. My absolute favorite one is the Pork belly in duck broth ramen. There are many options to choose from. I would definitely recommend this place to Ramen lovers as well as someone who is interested in trying Ramen. Well, 4 stars for their pricing and the quantity. It's a little pricy compared to other Ramen places in the neighborhood but they compensate with a large bowl of Ramen. I had my Ramen for lunch and dinner.

Ashley T.

Yelp
Depressing atmosphere, subdued service, strange, creamy noodles (supposedly ramen?), and bland, overcooked chicken and shrimp. And the steam buns were about as thick as a pancake. Will not be going again.
google avatar

Diane N.

Yelp
Enjoyed our take out from here! Would definitely come back on a cold day for some warm noodles.
google avatar

Misty J.

Yelp
Pretty good! First time trying this place and I took my order to go! The portion was huge and it was perfect for the cold day! The guy at the desk wasn't very friendly. You'd think when someone says it's their first time, the staff would show a little more enthusiasm but that's alright... I got the ramen, miso broth with the fried buttermilk brined chicken I believe it was. Very tasty! I love noodles so I was super eager to try this place! I may be back but I'm not pressed. Maybe next time, I'll dine in to see if my experience is different! My food is just as important to me as the service.

Yelp
Arrived at mi and yu noodles bar the place was very clean, and the man behind the counter was very helpful and polite I got the pork belly, extra meat, duck, ramen, and the duck broth everything was so so so good the duck broth rich and amazing. You just have to try it for yourself Delicioso.

Yelp
The menu has expanded with the additional bao. dishes. I've eaten here many times but stopped for a while during the pandemic. This review is specific to their ramen. The broth, unlike another authentic Japanese ramen joint around these parts, was never their strong point. But, when we returned today, we found that the dashi and spicy duck sambal broths have really gone downhill. A lot. Both lacked body and good umami. The dashi was too salty and detracted from the rest of the soup. The spicy sambal was way too spicy. And this was claimed by a spicy food lover. It was definitely too hot for me. The toppings were excellent. The noodles were excellent. But when its all swimming in a broth that is borderline unbearable, it doesn't matter. And the eggs were just a touch overcooked. A petty complaint? Well, it's always perfect at the other ramen joints. There are some outstanding ramen places in Baltimore area. This place better kick it up a notch if they wanna compete. I would absolutely come back if they made better broth. And Mi & Yu would surely would sell more ramen if they did.
