"A local favorite for decades, Macayo’s Mexican Kitchen shuttered its last Las Vegas outpost on Aug. 25, but its empty eastside restaurant at 1741 E. Charleston Boulevard now hosts a new tenant. Boldly promising to be coming soon, Mi Casa Mexican Cuisine will move into the 8,000-square-foot space. Yet to announce a menu, Mi Casa shares a connection with the shuttered seafood-focused Mariscos 7 Mares Mexican Restaurant, once located less than half a mile to the east." - Bradley Martin

Not a very exciting experience for existing space. Our service was very friendly and place was clean. However, food lacked any real character. Feel like a box was opened, heated and put on the plate. Maybe it isn't the case, but either way wasn't really my taste. They served ketchup packets for my cold seafood cocktail dish. 🤔🤦‍♂️ Drink menu was limited and confusing. They charge double the price for "imported Tequila". Last time I checked, all Tequila should be imported. This was a place for basic nutrition. There are places in immediate vicinity with authentic roots. Neither good, nor bad...just there.

Wanted to check out something other than a buffet while in Vegas and found a gem. This place was off the strip, authentic, and super delicious. I was surprised the place wasn't packed on a Friday evenning. Maybe we got there too early. Anyways, I ordered the enchiladas suizas with a shredded beef taco on the side and my husband the chicken fajitas. Both dishes were excellent!. The green sauce on the enchiladas was superb. Creamy with a little heat. My taco was crispy even though I let it sit for a minute while I worked on my enchiladas and it was sooo good! The fajitas were to die for. I have never had such delicious chicken fajitas. The rice and beans were both on point. My margaritas were lemony how I like, and gave me a buzz. The place was clean, the waitress attentive, and there was good value for your buck. The chips and salsa were right on the money. My husband made a statement of how he was not going to let the salsa go to waste and poured it over his fajitas. When he asked for a spicy salsa they brought him two different house made salsas in two small bowls. He ate both joyfully. I will definitely be returning when I visit Las Vegas again. I can't wait to get my own chicken fajitas! The food was very memorable.

I was in the mood to have a few drinks, so I drove by this restaurant and decided to go inside. They have a two-for-one special on margaritas, so I ordered a guava and mango flavored margarita with crushed ice. Both tasted good, not too sweet and not watered down. But I couldn’t ignore the fact that I couldn’t taste the alcohol. If there was any alcohol in the margaritas, the amount is very minimal.

A breath of fresh air from the usual Las Vegas strip restaurants. Family run business popular with locals. Great selection of traditional Mexican dishes anywhere from meat to seafood. Service was excellent and the price is good for the quality of the food.

I have been wanting to go here and see what took over the old Macayo's spot. First impressions was a little skeptical because it was 5pm and my table was the only party in the restaurant. It shortly started to pick up. The server was very friendly and eager to answer any questions. I wanted to try some of their seafood dishes. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor profile of the appetizer I ordered. It had shrimp done 2 ways that I will definitely come back for. I judge every mexican restaurant by ordering their ceviche. The octopus was cooked perfectly with a perfect amount of seasoning. Some places use an abundance of lime juice. Not this dish. It had a perfect balance. If you have not yet been to Mi Casa you must put it on your list. Try the mariscos. You will not be disappointed.

Very clean setting. food was good but I wish they could have heated my food a little longer as the cream from my enchiladas was just warm. They have different types of salsas spicy to non spicy. Prices were reasonable.

Newest Resturant in Hurricane. We ordered from menu but asked for lunch size. They also put whatever beans they had for us to sample!
