This place was delicious. We sat at the bar for lunch and came based off of a recommendation from a friend. We loved the sweet salsa, and the queso and guacamole was awesome!! A definite must. The chicken fajitas were great and the bartender was very personable and attentive! The only thing I didn’t care for was my margarita. It just wasn’t what I was expecting, but everyone else seemed to like it. So take that that as you will. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try if you are in town and need a quick bite to eat!!

Google
I tried the Elk tacos highly recommend. The Elk just taste like steak to me. Well worth the try! The Birra tacos was delicious and better than the steak tacos in my husband's opinion. The rice and both bean varieties were less than desirable in our opinion. The drinks were delicious. Atmosphere was gorgeous! Waitress was helpful and sweet.

Google
We are visiting Colorado to ski and wanted to try new places to eat and found this place that was hidden. The food and drinks are amazing. The staff were very nice and friendly with helping us. Highly recommend stopping by for dinner.

Google
This spot was pretty good! I ordered the shrimp fajita and had a Strawberry Rhubarb margarita. Definitely worth stopping in! Nobody had any complaints.

Google
We researched Mexican restaurants in Breck before deciding on Mi Casa and we are SO glad we did! My 12 year old son (a self proclaimed queso connoisseur) said “the queso is phenomenal!”. I had the elk taco and Baja shrimp taco and they were the best tacos I’ve ever had (which says a lot being from Texas)! The rest of the family loved their quesadillas and fajitas. We rounded out our meal with tees leches and sopapillas and they were also amazing. LJ was our server and did an excellent job taking care of us.

Google
We came in for lunch as a group of three families (6 adults and 4 kids), and unfortunately, our experience started off on the wrong foot. The host was rude and dismissive from the beginning. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, they said they couldn’t accommodate us at one table and instead split us into two separate ones—not ideal for a family outing. When we asked to split the check by family (just three tabs), we were told it wasn’t possible because we “didn’t have three tables.” That made no sense and felt like an excuse rather than an actual policy. The only saving grace was our waitress, who was kind and helpful, and the food itself, which was actually quite good. But the way we were treated by the host left a bad taste and definitely ruined what should have been a simple family lunch. Won’t be coming back.

Google
The food is great! Service has been awesome! Very helpful since we are new to the area. Sit by the windows and enjoy the view of the water and scenery.

Google
Super yummy Mexican food. We've been going there for years. Red snapper tacos and one of the yummiest taco salads ever. Attentive staff and no seating issues on a Sunday night. The menu has gotten smaller, but better! A dining staple in Breck.

Yelp
I came on a Thursday night and I ordered the Elk tacos ($19) and seasonal margaritas which was blueberry theme ($14). There were complimentary chips and salsas which were great to snack on and had good flavor. Food came out in about 20 minutes and the tacos were amazing. The elk meat was very tendered and seasoned well. The tortilla was bigger then I expected. The rice and beans were ok. The margaritas was also fantastic with the right amount of sourness with blueberry notes. My only complaint is that there was an additional "3% kitchen surcharge" added on to the bill. Overall a very solid and surprisingly affordable place to eat in Breckenridge. Food(50%): 8.2 Staff/service(25%): 7.0 Value(25%): 7.5 Overall: 7.7/10

Yelp
We were here few years ago, was looking forward to going back. What a complete anti climax. We walk in and the hostess says please seat yourself where ever you want including the booth. She volunteered the booth so we get seated. The waitress comes by and asks us how many in your party- we were like 2. She literally makes a face and stomps off. Does not bother to return to ask for an order or drinks or anything. Wow just wow. Never had a worse welcome at a restaurant. Needless to say, we walked out. Very very disappointing.

Yelp
We found a great lunch spot to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Fortunately, we enjoyed our meal there before they closed for a few weeks. We enjoyed the cheese dip, tacos and margaritas (of course). It's a beautiful restaurant and overlooks the water on the back side.

Yelp
What a hidden gem in Breck! Perfect for a dinner after a day of skiing or exploring the town. Kind of hidden inside a small collection of stores. Extremely popular and no reservations so get there early or be prepared to wait. The queso was to die for, and so were the chips with the three salsas (mild, medium, hot). The beef fajitas were served on a sizzling hot plate with excellent beans and rice on the side. The only place they missed the mark were the desserts. The sopapillas were decent, but the churros and chocolate sauce was pretty doughy and bland. A new favorite!

Yelp
Sorely disappointed. Waited for a long time while placing an order to go. The order taker (a female training someone else) was unprofessional and lacked attention to detail. Had to repeat the order multiple times and she still forgot to put an order in. Everyone who said they were from CA and understood what good Mexican food tastes like lacks credibility imo. No offense but I relied on you guys and wasted $150. 1. Orders mislabeled (Birria and carne asada tacos mislabeled) 2. Beans and rice (extra $4 charge) forgotten - we never got it 3. Fajitas for two were not clearly relayed - she said two tortillas versus one rather than explaining the entire order fed two so we ordered way more than necessary 4. We asked for corn and they gave us flour (gluten allergy) 5. Explicitly asked for no sour cream or cheese due to allergy which was ignored 6. Birria tacos unseasoned - least flavorful of any Birria - Trader Joe's frozen Birria is better (1/5) 7. Carne asada meh (2/5) 8. Charro beans (1.5/5) 9. Veggie enchiladas ok due to sauce (4/5) 10. Steak fajitas with all toppings (3/5) 11. Steak itself 1/5 12. Veggie fajitas (3/5) 13. Rice is 2.5/5 14. Corn tortillas straight out of a pack and microwaved 15. Portions are decent if we exclude our missing sides Taco plates avoid - not good We deserve a refund DO NOT RECOMMEND - BUYERS REMORSE (1.5/5 overall)

Yelp
Staff and service was very friendly and had great recommendations for food. Chips and salsa were not my favorite. Chicken stuffed with chorizo was tasty and the steak in the steak burrito was cooked great. Smaller portions than I am used to for a Mexican Restaurant and not very spicy. Family friendly ambiance.

Yelp
Literally ran here after skiing to make happy hour from 3-5pm. We got some classic margs (very strong!!:)) and corn tortilla tacos. We got chicken, steak, and shrimp ones. All were so good and flavorful. Margs made us nice and warm!! Nice atmosphere with a cool looking bar. Would happily come back!!

Yelp
Located at the end of Main street, this restaurant is in a great location and easily accessible. Parking is close (garage or street) and it's easily walkable to nearly everything. The restaurant is spacious and the service is good. The elk taco and duck quesadilla are both great. Happy hour is between 3-5 and the margaritas are very good. There's a decent kids menu and the kids quesadilla is even shaped like an animal.

Yelp
We have been to mi casa several times before and it never disappoints! The complimentary chips and salsa flight were fantastic and the chicken tacos were delicious, some of the best I've had. The chicken quesadilla was too spicy for my taste, but the member of our group who ordered it enjoyed it. Service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere is cute.

Yelp
Surprisingly great Mexican food in Breckenridge! I preface this review as a Californian, having consumed many forms of Mexican food in my life. I am no expert, but I am an avid enjoyer of such things from time to time. We tried to get a table but had to be put on an hour long waitlist to be seated. Luckily Breck has some great tourist shops to wonder around in. We were delighted to be seated within 20mins though! The interior is well decorated, albeit a tad tacky and leaning almost too far into the Hispanic roots. I get that you are that Mexican place in an otherwise mostly White American ski town; I don't fault it for that :) The food and service hold their weight in gold. Our large party ordered all at once (with drinks too!) and got all our items served in a reasonable time. One of the greatest signs of a bomb ass Mexican place is if the chips and dip are good. Every single sit-down establishment serving Mexican food in Cali would always start the meal with chips and the best sauce you've ever had to the point that you would strangle the chef for the recipe (for the record I did not do that this time). The chips were very good. We were very happy. I recommend putting the chipotle sauce on whatever entree you order too (yes its very spicy). The chimichanga was as expected, though perhaps a bit to much liquid inside. Otherwise it was on-par with my expectations! Oh and yes the margs were very strong and we were all drunk by the end. What a great way to cap off a day in Breck

Yelp
Delicious food, nice service and great atmosphere! The duck quesadilla and the elk tacos were delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. They were accommodating to our large group. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Mi Casa is a tradition for us. We always visit to start off our time in Breck! The atmosphere is lively and the food is top notch. It's hard to mess up Mexican but Mi Casa elevates it go above average fare. My favorite is the pork belly tacos. Super crispy pork belly literally melts in your mouth. The chicken chimichanga is huge and packed full! We always opt for queso to start. Don't skip it!

Yelp
Such a cute interior. The food is great and the service is great. Everyone is so nice. The guac and chips are so good. Big windows and pretty views too.
google avatar

Yelp
If you're going to break your vegetarian lifestyle it should be with this steak taco!! I also tried the mushroom taco and it was very savory. NO Apple PAY The mango mezcalrita should be your first drink.
google avatar

Lianna T.

Yelp
Colorful ambiance with windows overlooking the water. Even though we came close to closing time and staff did not rush us too much. We ordered the shrimp and chicken fajitas. Sizes were huge and we definitely could have split. Chips and three salsas are provided before the meal - and all the salsas provided a noteworthy spice kick. Tasty Mexican fare in a lovely ambiance.
google avatar

Yelp
Everything about this restaurant was great! We hit the happy hour. Got to try their tacos and a refreshing mocktail. Shrimp taco was my favorite, perfectly spicy!
google avatar

Luke G.

Yelp
The happy hour here is LIGHTS OUT GOOD! They don't just knock a couple bucks off, you save like $6-$7 per item. The chips and dip is VERY generous. Four dips, two salsas, a guac, and a queso... along with tortilla chips and flour chips. It's quite the deal. Also, the steak fajitas were cooked to a perfect medium rare.
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant does not take reservations. It was very crowded for a Saturday night so adjust your schedule as needed! We had a large group and had to wait about 30-45 minutes which wasn't an issue. Our server was friendly and she tried her best but I think just had too many tables and things going on. We started with drinks. She brought half the drinks and the chips and guac we ordered. We also ordered chips and salsa. The chips and salsa came a long time later and still no drinks for half of us. Our chips and salsa appeared once we already had our entrees- which wasn't really needed anymore. The shrimp tacos were basic but pretty good flavor. My husband enjoyed the tamales. The margaritas were really good once they finally arrived. Service was just super hectic and chaotic but the food was decent Mexican for the area.
google avatar

Cindy C.

Yelp
Sooo good! If they're busy, it's worth the wait. The tacos, steak and wolf fajitas were some of the best Mexican we had. Their simple margarita goes down quite smooth. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Tushar S.

Yelp
4.5 stars Honestly, I'm very surprised at how much I liked the food (and glad this place) Not having had luck with Mexican food in CO, I was apprehensive to go in, but the elk tacos called my name, and I'm glad I tried them! The ambience and decor inside is cute! Note: I read the reviews with subpar service but my server was very attentive and great :) Complimentary house made chips and salsa made it a good start, and the entrees were DELICIOUS! The elk tacos were super yummy, and the duck quesadilla, while very rich, was very well flavored (+ the Oaxacan rice & beans complimented the dish very well) The price may seem (and is) on the higher side but the serving size is respectable and everything tastes great. 10/10 I'll be back here the next time I'm in Breck!

Yelp
My group has been coming to this restaurant for years for our event. Last night we had terrible waiting service. Our server was giving us a lot of attitude. Other than those vibes, the food was amazing. Sadly I was too hungry to take a photo but I had the chicken quesadilla.

Michael P.

Yelp
Great Service, our waitress was Heather and was great w helping us w the menu and sharing her opinion for what to order. We had shrimp and beef fajitas and a chicken enchilada. The trio salsa were fresh and had just the rt spice!
google avatar

Oscar M.

Yelp
The location is great, lots of room inside with great view of the town. Their service was also good! Very attentive with quick food coming out of the kitchen. Our waitress came over about 5 times to check on us and make sure we were doing okay. Regarding the food, they could do a little better with the taste. The best I had was their elk tacos, I had their birria tacos but they were not great. Wife had tinga and it was okay. Rice and beans were not good, tasted undercooked and bland.
google avatar

Travis P.

Yelp
Wow! Start with two salsa - spicy and mild (which is actually more sweet). Then, get some generously poured drinks ordered. Follow that with anything. Yes, all of their food is good. The carnitas is my favorite, but you won't go wrong with another choice
google avatar

Savannah K.

Yelp
Tasty Mexican spot in Breck. Delicious margaritas and a good happy hour if you want some tasty food / drinks after a day on the slopes. Staff was friendly and the inside was HUGE & not busy when we went.
google avatar

Joy K.

Yelp
We're able to get a table quickly in the bar area. Our server was very nice. The food was enjoyable. Blueberry margarita was tasty.
google avatar

Dayna M.

Yelp
Went to the bar. Was told we couldn't sit at the open table because we didn't have four people. Waitress/hostess was rude. WILL NOT GO BACK!
google avatar

El A.

Yelp
Trust me when I say this... get the duck quesadilla. Best thing on the menu. Overall a bit more upscale then your usual neighborhood Mexican restaurant but still has the same atmosphere. The salsas and margaritas are good too.
google avatar

Suzanne H.

Yelp
Food was really good. But the biggest disappointment was that we were a party of 10 and the restaurant was half empty, we asked to be seated together. They said that was not possible. So instead we were seated 4 in a booth and the other 6 of us in a nearby table while there were 4 empty tables in a row next to us. It doesn't make sense. The tables could have easily been put together. We even had to wait more than 30 minutes for the two tables when this was at 730 pm. Way after the rush. Server was great. We tipped well. I had the elk tacos. Was good! The tres leches cake was wow!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I took a trip to a beautiful place, Breckenridge, Colorado, snow day and found a good Mexican Restaurant that was delicious and authentic. The restaurant was super busy though the service was quick. They do not accept reservations. I ordered their queso, shrimp tacos, duck carnitas, chicken tamales, and mi casa chicken burrito. The tamales and burritos were super delicious, .but disappointed with the shrimp tacos and duck carnitas. I also had their Tres leches cake which was super yummy and tasty. The ambiance was super, Stunning views out the window with, a good atmosphere, and a great river view. But I could not c the river as it was covered with snow . However, I enjoyed the scenery of snowfall with beautiful Christmas lights.

Yelp
Our wonderful server, JP, was excellent. He made helpful recommendations. He's a keeper, Mi Casa! We had "Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas" and for our two tacos, Red Snapper and also Grilled Shrimp Tacos. Two were definitely enough for one person. All were delicious! If you go, make sure you get JP as your server!
google avatar

Joani O.

Yelp
We attended a private party here, set up in a large room in the back. They had a table set up for us with appetizers to start, such as quesadillas, and chips with guacamole and salsa. Servers were walking around with yummy margaritas. Our dinner was salad to start then chicken, steak and shrimp fajitas with all the trimmings. Delicious! The shrimp were large and the steak and chicken were both very tender and flavorful. It was all we could eat, with sopapillas for dessert and we enjoyed. Would definitely return.
google avatar

Kyle S.

Yelp
I loved Mi Casa back when I lived in Summit County in the 90's. I still love it now. May seem pricey but the portions make up for it. I prefer the bar but also enjoy the back room looking out over the dredge.
google avatar

Samantha S.

Yelp
Service was great and pricing was reasonable for the area. However, the food was odd...if you are looking for tasty Mexican this is not the place. We tried the black and fried beans and the nice - meaty flavor that didn't resemble anything I have had before. The sour cream enchiladas were fine but the carnitas tamales were awful - dry and no flavor.
google avatar

Haylee O.

Yelp
Happy hour deal for tacos and quesadilla is the best deal in breck for a cheap and good meal. This is always a hit for a post skiing dinner. Bottomless chips and salsa too. Margarita was meh. Wouldn't get it again.
google avatar

Delaina S.

Yelp
OMG best Mexican we've had in awhile! Margs were amazing. Special was strawberry rubarb & it was soooo good! The chicken tinga bowl with guac....amazing!!
google avatar

Mariah U.

Yelp
I. Love. This. Place. Hesitant to leave a great review because I don't want other people flocking there (even though they're already super busy) I hate queso and they have the best queso on the planet! Their happy hour deals are awesome and nothing tastes better after a long day skiing at Breck. I'm a local and drive from Frisco to eat here almost weekly.

Ryan R.

Yelp
First, they didn't have soda. The service was a little below average but that wasn't the worst part. The food was very disappointing. The atmosphere was ok but overall wouldn't go here again.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
I would not go back. We had a party of 6 with no wait. Server was not welcoming and downright rude. Drinks were overpriced and not good (had a ranch water with casa noble tequila and the mixer was flat etc.). Food looked somewhat decent but ranged from average to just bad. Some of the things we had included: queso (hard to mess this up but mostly spinach mixed with cheese- it was weird); veggie enchiladas (these were ok- corn tortillas that featured mostly corn inside), chicken and veggie fajitas (not good; burnt veggies; chicken was not good), chicken quesadilla (chicken tasted like it was out of a can) etc. Save your $ and go elsewhere.
google avatar

Loreen G.

Yelp
I didn't stay for dinner but I did enjoy my two chip and dip selections and the bartender was nice and made a strong drink. The chips with the salsa trio had a unique pico type salsa I've not tried before ....a little sweet but I liked that it was different. The guacamole came with flour chips which I did not try but I hear they have a seasoning on them and I bet they are pretty good. I'm a corn chip gal, though! I'll try the dinner selections next time I'm in Breck. The bar seating is nice and quiet....good vibe and good service.
google avatar

Doug P.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere and the food/service is good. However it's more or less fancy Mexican rather than simple beef tacos, basic enchiladas or burritos and chimichangas. It's a dan favorite for many people we know but just a little to fancy for us. We both ordered the sour cream enchiladas as it was as close to basic as we could find on the menu. The meal was fine. Maybe a little to spicy for my wife. Service was adequate. Their hot salsa is really hot. We both enjoyed the flavor of the mild salsa.
google avatar

Jim H.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner with friends Friday at 5:30 and discovered that HH was happening! Margarita specials and $1 off beers. Additionally, three tacos for $5 (beef, chicken or vegetable also corn, flour or hard shell). Also, quesadilla (chicken or vegetable) were on special. My friends all had the tacos and agreed that they were great HH tacos. I opted for the chicken quesadilla and it was very tasty! We were served chips and three salsa's - the pico was nicely crafted and a hit of sweetness, the salsa verde was average and the hot salsa had jut the right amount of heat. We also had an order of guacamole which was served with flour chips. We sat out on the back patio which is a great location and suggest sitting there!

Alena R.

Yelp
Our server was SO rude and wouldn't help us split our checks because she didn't feel like it. She never came to our table, never asked how our food was, we were waiting for the check for a very long time and because she knew we wanted it split and we had already asked multiple times, she dropped off checks and the table and then walked away so we wouldn't have any time to say anything. Never going back
google avatar

Paddy P.

Yelp
This was recommended to us by multiple folks in Denver and in Breckenridge. Was good food and a fun experience. Busy and family friendly. The Elk taco was amazing. Shrimp almost as good! Definitely another visit required!

Yelp
Probably the best Mexican place in downtown Breck with lots of room for improvement. Pork carnitas were served with rice, corn, slaw, pickled onions and flour tortillas. The pork came out black and crusty. (All Good). However, when I separated the piece to start eating, it was obvious, that about half of the "meat" I was served was pure fat. 2-3 ounces of fat. I don't usually eat fat, so this menu item is not appealing at all. What little pork I was able to eat was pretty good. Chips and 2 salsas were very good. Be advised: Mi Casa is loud with music blaring, people talking, dishes clanking -- a cacophony of sounds. Service was alright-not personable or poor, it was just take the order and deliver food, no small talk or any other interaction. Others in my group said the fried fish tacos were alright.

Yelp
Ehh. I could have done without this restaurant on our family vacation to CO. As a highly rated "Mexican Restaurant" in Breckinridge, this place did not live up to its reviews. Yes, the views are nice if seated near a window, but other than that, there was nothing 4 star worthy of this place. For starters, we came in for their Happy Hour special to only be told that it only applied to their limited bar seating area and was a "first come first serve" arrangement. Since there was a lot of people already in the bar area, we didn't want to wait. We ordered margaritas and not 1 of the 3 flavors we got did I like. Their seasonal blackberry, spicy cucumber or house margarita weren't very flavorful and were all watered down. My hotel's bar margaritas were far better tasting than these. For food, my Sister and I shared plates and we got the Avocado Frito and Steak Chimchuri Tacos. Portions for the rice and beans were less than 1/2 a cup. For someone who wanted to split the rice and beans, we each got maybe 3-4 bites if that. Not to mention, their rice and beans lacked flavor and were served cold. The avocado frito was messy, presentation was not there as everything was just piled on top of each other. The concept was great, taste was okay, presentation was bad. Now, the tacos were very yummy, I wished they would have served at least 1-2 more since they lacked on the sides. Chips and salsa -- chips were good, "homemade", salsas were okay. Their "spicy" was nowhere near spicy for us. Overall, this restaurant is getting a 2.5 star rating from me. Is it somewhere I would try again? Only if no other restaurants around were available.

Alexis B.

Yelp
Food was mid, definitely not worth the price or the food poisoning that ensued. DO NOT GET THE CHICKEN OR YOU'LL BE SH*TTING

Mark A.

Yelp
Great Mexican Food Restaurant. The food was excellent. We had the Fajitas, I had the Natural Margarita, and we shared the Mexican Chocolate Pots de Creme desert. All were excellently prepared. We had just arrived and were hungry. We left the restaurant stuffed and completely satisfied. The service was great. The restaurant is large with a big window and a great view of Breckenridge. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Yummmm just spent a week in Breckenridge , Colorado with family. Mi Casa is in the heart of town , convenient and easy to get to. They have an awesome bar scene with take your own chips and salsa and a great variety of cocktails, Margarita's are great! The menu is large and includes everyones fan favorite Mexican dishes, tacos, tamales, enchiladas and soup and salads, something for everyone. My husband loved their beef tacos so much he ordered a second dinner, lol. I had a chicken enchilada and it was delicious! Dinner combos are served with rice, beans and an awesome fresco coleslaw, very complimentary to the dish.
