Mi Casita Dunn

Stopped here last week for lunch on our way home to Virginia, and wow! The chips were hot and crispy, the salsa was outstanding, and the wait staff so helpful. I got the Taco Loco and my husband a combo plate, and we both loved our choices. Lots of food, clean restaurant, and great atmosphere. Wished they weren't so far away!

Amazing experience! Super friendly staff tasty salsa and food that is just top notch Mexican. The grilled jalapeño on the side were amazing beans and rice fresh and perfectly cooked. If I lived nearby I would eat here twice a week!

My favorite Mi Casita location. The other one in Dunn is always a subpar experience, but this one that's located near the Irish Pub and across from Food Lion is great. They make great virgin margaritas for my pregnant self too haha.

I think I would rate this place like at least 100 if I could.. They never get my order wrong and it always comes out so flavorful. Their salsa is so good along with everything on the menu to be honest, I'm not even being dramatic. This is the best Mexican food I have ever had in a very long time. I would recommend trying it!

Sat outside on the patio to eat and enjoy a drink. The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. Food was ordered and on the table within 5-7 minutes. The foliage area around the patio was quite dirty with trash around the bushes. Other than that it was a good dining experience.

Terrible. First time here and I ordered the most basic meal to try. I got the 2 hard beef tacos with refried beans and rice. Tacos barely had any cheese from the photo so I told my waitress who brought me a side of it that you can see. The rice was bland with no vegetables and the refried beans was the best thing I ate here which is not saying much. The Salsa has no flavor and the chips were over cooked. The sweet tea I ordered wasn’t bad. I spent $14 on my meal and $6 on a tip. I will not be back.

I was very disappointed in Mia Casita in Dunn N.C. I was trying to go rather cheap with my lunch so I looked up the menu online. I ordered something I had never had before and it was some kind of chicken burrito with nacho cheese. And I also got chips and cheese dip. For one burrito that was supposed to be $10.49 and cheese dip that was $2.99 I paid $19.00. As it turns out this burrito is now $15.00 and it was the driest burrito I've ever eaten. It was some very plain and dry chicken with the white cheese sauce on top of the burrito. I've never been so disappointed eating at a Mexican restaurant before.

This was the best Mi Casita we have been to in a long time. The food was served quickly and the service was as always excellent! The restrooms were clean too. We will be back!

The one near 95 is our favorite! Fast service and good food! Staff is awesome! We go at least once a week

Toco is wet!!! Didn't follow Oppa's directions! Chips are hard! Shrimp is small! Didn't give us refills!

This was a surprise ! It was a chain which I don't like but I was shocked at how good it was. The girl arrived with warm chips and salsa in a cute flask and each of us got their own little bowl so that we could double dip without any guilt. My pollo loco was so good! A nice big cutlet grilled and then pico de gallo and grilled onions over it. It came with rice,beans and was a very good serving size too. Service was good also oh and the flan was good also. Seems to be a popular neighborhood spot since everyone seemed to know each other.

If I can no star this establishment I would. As soon as we walked in the waitress was waiting for take our drink order. I sat down, my bf went to use the restroom. I told her I didn't know, he ( as in my bf) went to use the restroom. I then told her just get us some water. When he came back she was bringing our drinks so he then ordered two margaritas. It took her forever to make the drinks. Her finger nails looked dirty. Chips tasted like old grease, salsa looked and tasted like tomato sauce. Cups looked and smelt dirty. We forced our drinks down and ended up leaving. My boyfriend said the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Won't ever go back.

We have eaten here for some time, Very good food and Service, best Mexican Restaurant in the area.

Quick service, very good food. We had the lunch portion of #11 and # 18 combo. The portion sizes were great for lunch. The restaurant was very clean and staff very friendly.

Food was average. Service less than mediocre. Served and only saw the waiter once, 3 mins after my food was served. No refill on my drink at all and I had a spicy hot sauce with my tacos. Currently waiting to pay my tab and at 20mins I laid my wallet out trying to send a signal. Tip: pay attention to your customer the place was no where near full. Unacceptable.

Wrong food. Stringy. Beef,,,,unless you like rubber bands. Hostess. Very very rude. To go order, "YOU CAN SIT OVER THERE". IN LOUD RUDE VOICE. Never again/

Super nice people and the food is pretty great, one of my recommendations from there would be the arroz con pollo

25 minute process of going to store, picking up to go food, and coming home. No big deal at all. Until we get all the way home after ordering the biggest fajita meal they had plus extra meat and there's not one tortilla for any of it. Our meal was fajitas. We didn't think for a second that we would have to check for tortillas in the bag. So since there number doesnt work after trying 15 times, we now have to go to food lion up the road instead of driving all the way back out there to get tortillas that should've came with our $25 order in the first place. No tortillas, no working number, and now no more business from us. Very frustrating, considering this was our first time ever eating from there.

Very nice place and people. I love coming here to eat. They are always smiling. Always make you feel welcome.

Food was good and fast. No complaints there. Our waiter, however, was out to lunch. I had to find him. Twice. Each time, he was sitting on the other side of the bar, constantly chewing on his gum, watching videos on his phone. If you're seated in the section of a waiter who looks like he'd be cast on a Telemundo version of The Jersey Shore, ask for someone else.

Not the biggest fan of Mexican food, but I definitely amazed me! Their Quesadillas are tasty, well, everything is tasty ! seasoned well, cooked well , nice staff, and no complaints! Came on a Saturday night with me and my family on a drive to Florida from New York and it was definitely a filling dinner. 10/10 would reccomend !

Server was very nice and made sure we were good. Food was amazing!! I had the carne asada and the steak was cooked sooo good! It was my first time here and I will most definitely be coming back.

Probably the best Mexican restaurant in Dunn. We ordered the burrito micasitas and they were well prepared and the service was top notch. I'm giving this place 3 stars only cause the outside patio has a bird nest under the light and they sat us right under it. Food was good, the margaritas were sour, not the usual way they make them.

Stopped in while traveling and it was delicious!! Very friendly staff. Dog friendly...one of the few places in this town we found that had outdoor seating for our dog. View of I95 isn't that bad when you are very happy to not be on it anymore! Food was fast and yummy. I got Mexican chicken soup. Ample chicken, avocado, rice. Need to figure how to make this at home!!!

We take out yesterday here at the 421 restaurant. We call from the parking lot. The taco salads we're ready in minutes. They were absolutely wonderful. Everything was safe, even checkout was 6 feet. A great experience!

I had take out . The fajitas 's where great . the resturant was clean and the staff was friendly . the cost was very reasonable . It is always a pleasure to stop along interstate 95 while traveling and have such great take out

Mi Casita is always good. Honestly I have never been there when they have had an "off night" or day for that matter. The prices are good, its in a great location and I have absolutely ZERO complaints about this place. I typically have the combination place with a taco an enchilada rice and beans, The cheese dip is also always good, The complimentary chips are nice and warm and fresh. The margaritas are HUGE in fact I am thinking I should go drink one tomorrow.

Love this place portion of meat aren't that big but the best around these small area nice area and lots of space

This was the last time I will go with a group. The server need professional training. They need more organization when taking food orders. When the food is ready to bring out they come to the table, yell out the name of the food. I would like the option of having a separate bill as well.

Excellent food and it came out super fast and was piping hot. If in this area I would definitely come back. I got veggie quesadillas and my kids got chicken quesadillas. Very yummy. Salsa was also really good!

Quick service & good food! They have rice bowls with your choice of protein on top and the whole thing is COVERED in queso. I've only been looking for this on a menu for I don't know...MY WHOLE LIFE!!

One of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to. I came with a group of eight and the service was unbelievable. They constantly made sure that our waters were full and always had chips and salsa full on the table. The meals came out quick and everything was delicious. I had the Yolanda's it was enchiladas with chicken topped with a guacamole salad. It came out hot and made the way we ordered. Would definitely recommend this place.

This was a quick, convenient, inexpensive dinner that was quite good. Service was efficient too. Had the shrimp fajitas with corn tortillas. Tasty. Negatives were atmosphere - in a strip mall & margaritas had very little tequila if any. Tasted like straight mixer.

Chips & Salsa are on point!!! Stopped here while looking desperately for a place to eat that wasn't too far off the highway. So many things on the menu- there is something for everyone -- restaurant is spotless-- waitresses are very polite-- food tastes great and they are very accommodating with modifying menu items. Holler!

Went at off time while traveling. This is an incredible find. A real must return. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We shared an entree and it was not a problem at all, even with a special request.

If you are at all used to eating Mexican food on the west coast, do not eat here! I don't know if the people that left the higher reviews were high (probably not since this is not a legal state) but this was probably the second worst Mexican food I have ever eaten, and I am from a middle of nowhere white bred ranching town with almost no diversity. We stopped while on a long road trip north because of the positive Yelp reviews. We had enchiladas, a taco, nachos and chicken strips for the kids. Let's just say the chicken strips had the most flavor of everything we ate. Bland beans and rice, the cheese tasted like American cheese sauce (and not the good nacho kind out of a can) and the ground beef in the taco was just greasy beef and possibly old Mexican oregano. Maybe they were playing to their regular customer base but salsa should not be easily confused with pizza sauce (that is how bland and flavorless it was) and nachos shouldn't be soggy from watery cheese. If this is what passes for good Mexican food in NC then I feel sorry for everyone involved. Go to the pizza place next door or even the McDonald's around the corner I am sure you will be better off. The only reason I am even ok with a single star is that the restaurant was clean and the wait staff was attentive but a bit rude.

My favorite Mexican in town. Love the chimichanga. Just get the sauce and cheese sauce on the side. I like my chimichanga to stay crispy. Friendly staff.

Traveling down I-95 and wanted something other than normal chains. Found this on Yelp! What a find. Chips and Salsa almost beat us to the table!! Wife had Taco Salad and I had Enchilada Sampler was so... so....good!! Arrived with plenty of lettuce, which I like. Taste reminded me of being in Mexico. They were the real deal. It's difficult finding a really good Mexican place when traveling. You're just taking a risk. Reviews in Yelp were spot on.

I've been to Mi Casitas a few times. My parents live in Dunn and we usually go there every time I visit. Each time I've visited the food is always amazing, no matter what I get! The staff are great and they remember their frequent customers. It's great!

What a great find off the highway during a long road trip! From the clean restaurant to the polite staff and spot on delicious fare, this is a spot that I would return to if I was in the area! I started with their chips and guacamole, tried a soft chicken taco and had their Mi Casita chicken rice bowl. Everything was dee-lish!

Well, let me start by saying I waited till the next day to make sure none of us got sick. After reading all the great reviews we decided to try Mi Casita on our way thru NC. The beef fajitas I ordered tasted like chinese fried rice. The guacamole is not fresh (prepackaged florecent green goo). My son got the fajita trio and said he wasnt sure if it was real shrimp (rubbery and no flavor). My fiancee ordered steak burrito with jalepenos and was given chicken n shrimp. When we brought it to the managers attention, a waiter came around the corner with a steak one but no jalepenos.. oh and I cant forget the loose cheese dip that was given to us (didnt order it) that was clear and the consistency of water. come to find out they charged us $4 for it. So I is unlikely we will ever be back.

Nice Mexican food next to the high way. Very nice environment with friendly staffs. Unlimited delicious just baked chips to start. Trio option in lunch special is very good, salad is fresh. Fajitas are delicious! Don't miss this place if you are on I 95.

Found this restaurant by accident. The best accident that ever happened to us. They make the food to order and honor special requests. Food was great. Margarita was very good

I am a local patron. I've only ordered take-out from this restaurant in the past & I received subpar service when picking up my order then. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, this time taking a chance on dining in. This experience was worse than the take-out experience. My waiter, who seemed to be an owner or possibly the owner's son was not dressed in an uniform but was wearing regular street clothes was very disrespectful, snobby & distant. I was eating & talking to my son with my debit card laying on the table to pay for my meal as I exited the building as everyone else did but he felt the need to come over to get my card & NOT bring it back to me. I had to walk up to the front where he was ringing up other dine-in patrons, while my debit card laid on the side for others to see. I would not recommend this establishment to my worst enemy. Needless to say that I will NEVER patronize this establishment ever again!

Great food, carnitas taco was on point! The portions are meant for giants of another world. I ordered 3 entrees and an appetizer for a party of three people who considered ourselves big eaters. Let's just say after the appetizer, we started regretting how much we ordered. This place is really cheap too, we wonder if they actually make any money. For the equivalent of the food and quality here, it'd be more than double the price in big cities.

Mi Casita is a fantastic find. The dinner we had was the best Mexican food we ever ate.The Fajita Trio was prepared perfectly. Our waitress was so helpful I wanted to take her home with me. The salsa bar was delicious. We had Flan for desert and it was wonderful. My husband and I are trying to figure out how to get back to this restaurant and we live 400 miles away.
