Mi Casita Tacos

This place was exceptional. I’m so confused why there aren’t more people lining up for their food. It’s the best tacos I’ve ever had in my life. I tried them for the first time last night. Got obsessed. And I got them again today because of how much I craved them. You can tell how good a Mexican place is by how much attention they put in their sides like their salsas. Their salsas are authentic, rich, and flavorful. I can tell they care about quality over anything else. It’s family owned and family is so nice. They used to own a restaurant on Mooney but then changed it to this taco truck. I will definitely be back. I love supporting humble, sweet businesses.

First impressions of the burrito were that it was incredibly small. The size might be the half size of a yeti bottle. However, eating the burrito with the grilled onions was an excellent experience. The burrito was more of a Mexican burrito than a regular American burrito and I have come to appreciate it. After taxes, the burrito alone was just $10.31. While I might not come here as a regular customer in the future, I am definitely willing.come back for the quality food.

My fav! Always great. Everything I’ve had here has so much flavor. It’s been a while since I’ve eaten here until today, the tacos are still delicious. 10/10

If you want fresh food this is the place to be, good food and great portions too, try their azteca taco with your choice of meat, I love it!!

Y’all, hands down the best lengua in town. Quick and good service and they have a canopy with tables if you want to eat there. Highly recommend

Best tacos I've had and trust I've been around. Tripa extra crispy, cabeza, and asada well done are my go to. This is the one on the Noth Side of Visalia Ca. (Dinba Blvd)

Very good food. The torta was soft and meaty. Food service was fast, salsa was out so we can grab it ourselves. Only negative it's outside so it was hot, but id definitely eat here again.

Last minute decision to purchase 3 dozen tacos instead of grilling in this heat for a birthday celebration. I'm so glad I did! delicious, fast and so kind. Will purchase from these folks.

We were their first customers of 2024!!! So happy, excited and full! Service is always amazing! She's so sweet and always makes you feel welcome! Pro Tip: The truck has moved to the end of Mooney in the "Cost 4 Less" parking lot. Ambiance is nice, some tables and chairs outside the truck, but I would prefer to either eat in my car or take it home, like we did on this trip. I got an Asada Burrito "con todo" or "with everything", we got an Asada Sope, which was like an open faced taco, but thicker! Layered with beans, meat, lettuce, tomato and cotija cheese I believe. It was delicious! We also got two Adobada tacos and two asada tacos. Delicious! So nice they have a salsa bar! Every salsa they have is delicious! My favorite is the Verde! They aren't open on Mon or tues, but every other day of the week, stop here if you love great Mexican food! This is a can't miss for 2024 and on!

So I've been getting food from the taco truck for quite some time now...I just had one of their asada burritos for dinner and let me tell you....best burrito I've ever had!! Mi casita is one of the best taco trucks in town. Thank you guys for making great quality food! I wish I would've taken a pic before I ate the whole thing.

I ordered the carne asada tacos and the burrito after stumbling upon the food truck in front of Visalia Mall. It seems like they're not always there, so it is recommended to check their social media for updates on when they will be open. The tacos were great. There was a generous portion of meat in them. The only negative comment I have is that they were the oiliest tacos I've ever eaten. I just moved to this area, so I'm not sure if this is typical in the Visalia area, but I would still recommend this place. The burrito, on the other hand, was satisfying enough. It contained carne asada, rice, and beans. I was craving a typical American burrito with more toppings inside, but this was more of a Mexican burrito with fewer toppings. They also provided grilled onions on the side, which was a nice treat. The service was wonderful.

Had a hard time finding this place. But the girl answered the phone right away. Today, On August 2022 it was in the parking lot behind red robins in Visalia mall near the Yogurtland. I think the highlights of this taco truck, are the really well-made salsas (it's self serve too!) In the generous portions of well-made food. In the salsa bar, they have cucumber salsa, onions, cilantro, fresh cut lemons, avocado salsa, pico de gallo, red salsa and green salsa. I was very happy with every single one of these, and especially pleasantly surprised by the fresh pico de gallo. We ordered the Asada tacos, chorizo, adobada, Asada burrito. I must say, the asada is juicy and freshly grilled and wonderfully made. The tortillas are soft and sweet and go so well with all the salsas. The adobada is very juicy and well marinated as well. I would not order the chorizo again, but it was not bad, just not as epically amazing as the asada and adobada. We ordered Cebollas and grilled jalapeños but we didn't need to- each plate came with them. I was happy with the outdoor seating, under a shade.

There's a very specific taste and style of tortillas that I'm looking for when I'm eating tacos and this place has it! There's a bit of that greasiness that makes the tortillas soft and chewy, then that strong corn flavor that comes through that just goes perfectly with the meat! I also ordered the Tosti-Camerones which were a big hit for me, literally 10/10. The portions were generous and they did not skimp out on the shrimp! I'm hoping this is something that is always on the menu, it's my new favorite. Service was friendly and quick!

Great service and prices. They have just about everything you would want at a goos taco truck. Grilled onions and peppers with every order. They do homemade horchata. Always quick. Always good. Always nice. Been going for over a year and never had a bad meal. If you have a favorite taco truck do yourself a favor and try this one once. You'll switch id almost guaranty it. On a side not their asada fries are the best ones I've ever tasted. fries are crispy even if you have to take them home and they put tons of meat and toppings. Go now you'll thank me and the other 5 star reviews once you do.

Best tacos in town!! Had the asada tacos and they were full of flavor. This is now my go to spot. Talked to the owner today and she confirmed they are the same owners that used to have the mi casita restaurant on Houston. Not sure how long they have been back but I'm glad they are. Also they are now located in the Visalia mall parking lot.

FINALLY after living in Visalia for 7 years I have found MY taco spot! Love that the asada has a little crispiness to it yet was still very juicy, their salsas are on point, and the taco Aztecs is ‼ Another subtle difference from other places is they seem to oversalt their grilled jalapenos, which really add a different flavor profile while eating your tacos and I loved that. Made it pop like how adding salt to your movie theater popcorn adds that pop!

Best Mexican food in town, and it's not price inflated like these other restaurants around town. They have affordable prices. Also, the salsa is really good.

Best tacos around. Consistency and quality of food always on point. This is our go to for street tacos any day. Fresh toppings, salsa's, and guacamole sauce are always delicious.

Best tacos in Visalia hands down! The asada tacos are my favorite because the asada is crispy, but also still super juicy and flavorful! Every plate comes with a grilled jalapeno, and grilled onions which are delicious to eat with the already delicious tacos! They have a huge salsa/toppings bar which includes my favorite avocado salsa! It's a must try! I mix it with the green salsa for a little extra kick! The staff is super friendly, the truck looks very clean, and I have absolutely nothing to criticize. Must try asada tacos!!

I was today's year old when I found out the have two locations. Possibly two trucks ? Okay anyways I found this truck at the location on Dinuba sharing the parking lot with a mexican bakery. Even better! Anyways I had this place at the Dinuba location 3x. I was hooked. I loved their tacos! The tortilla I'm not really even a fan of the ground yellow corn like that but omg it's delicious. The meat is good! I judge that by the amount of salt I have to use. My Go to is the Asada tacos and cabeza. I loveee how they come with grilled onions and jalapeños. I'm drooling just thinking about the next time my Lips encounter these tacos again. The horchata is good too! The salsa and toppings are on the sides. The guy is always very friendly too. Only one time I was disappointed with them. I think it was about 5ish or so and they were just about done setting up and I ordered a Asada burrito and a couple tacos. I didn't realize until I got home I had NO grilled onions! I almost cried. Then the burrito the meat was sooo salty and literally had no onion and cilantro in it, I was disappointed.I ended up throwing half of it away. If I wasn't so far from where I lived I would have drove back. Anywho , this was my first time at the Mooney location and I loved they take Debit card! The Dinuba location is just cash. Boo. I tried their newest taco which was the taco azteca. It was two tortillas with melted cheese in between the two and meat, chili peppers and a whole bunch of Mexican sorcery on it I'm not sure but it was Delish but it was small and way too expensive for $4. It would have been worth it if it's a little bigger. I also had their Asada fries for the first time because why not, I've been on a health kick for two weeks so I deserved this alright. They were pretty good and that's a huge compliment considering it's extremely hard to find and good Asada fries around these here parts. I apologize for no pictures yall. I have been deprived of good food for two weeks so these tacos where literally inhaled into my stomach. Ps. I'm Coming back

Hands down the best Azteca taco in Visalia I tried their regular tacos because they were out of Azteca and I must say there's a huge difference in flavor in those two tacos. They're regular tacos are alright nothing special but you must try out the Azteca taco if you're in the area. I believe they're there until 8pm on weekends so don't miss out!

Get the Azteca tacos, they are so bomb! We've tried carne asada and adobada and both are delicious! The sopes are great, too. Oh, and most importantly the customer service is top notch!

The service was great! Super friendly and fast! They have their own little salsa bar with all the things to put on your tacos like salsas, cabbage, onions etc. Tacos were the best ones I've had in Visalia in a while. Not crazy greasy.

I have been wanting to try this place for some time after seeing that they have such good reviews. Today I found myself hungry with some time to kill and in the vicinity of where they set up in front of the old Sears. I ordered 2 tacos asada and 2 tacos adovada. The service was fast and friendly and you can help yourself to the salsa/condiments bar on the side of the trailer. I got a sampling of all 3 salsas since I hadn't been there before. There were 2 green salsas and 1 red. The red was the best of the 3 and I would guess it had a little chipotle because there was a smokey undertone to it. The green ones fell flat for me and all were mild. I would have preferred a little more bite in any of them but oddly enough even the grilled serrano was mild. As for the tacos themselves, I found them to be ok in flavor but very very oily. They were small tacos for $2.50ea but I guess prices are going up everywhere right now. Overall I am giving 3 stars because they were so greasy but even if they were not greasy, I don't know if I could get to 4 stars considering the salsas fell flat and the flavor of the tacos was only ok.

Good food. However, they are never open. They list their hours online, but they are open only 1 or 2 days a week. They need to update their hours because they are never open anymore.

I was hoping that the food here was as good as the pics on the menu. This is my 2nd visit here and was giving them another shot thinking maybe the 1st time was just a bad night. Same as first visit. The food has absolutely no flavor at all. If you order a burrito or anything else you must put condiments on yourself which is fine for tacos or similar food. If you get a burrito your screwed as you need to open it up to add onion cilantro and any salsas and then your burrito is a pain in the ass to eat as it won't stay together. Totally disappointed I won't visit again.

Showed up to a closed location. Crazy that no one claimed the restaurant to update hours. Got screwed. Lol

The food is ok, the lady with the gages needs to be nicer, maybe she had an off day and she was over heated cuz its hot, but she was so rude and made me feel like i was taking up her time by asking questions, sorry i had questions!

This is a small shack on the corner of Garden and Houston (west of the roundabout). The building is colored green. The place is outside seating with 3 big tables with 6 chairs each table. CASH ONLY! I ordered 2 tacos of carne asada and asonada and a burrito of adobada. They served each plate with grilled onions and a jalapeno strip, which was a big plus. The tacos were amazing. Probably the best I've had in the South Valley. The burrito was also good, although not mind blown. Tacos were $1.50 each and the burrito was $5.50, which were reasonable prices. Overall, don't pass by this little place. It's well worth the visit. I'd definitely come back!

Went to the visalia mall and saw 3 taco trucks there. We decided to try some tacos from each of the three food trucks. Ordered some asada tacos from this place. They were simply ok. Nothing special or amazing about them. They did come with a roasted jalapeño which was something I liked.

Had a 5 star rating so we tried it, my wife's carne asada burrito had a burnt ass tortilla, literally burned, like Ann old pirate treasure map... My sons asada tacos has really dry meat, like day old left over... Won't be returning

This is a great place to have some good old fashion tacos, with grilled jalapeños and onions. You can't have tacos without a Coca Cola. Pricing is fair, clean food truck, with tables and chairs to sit, they also provide the canopies for shade. Salsas are delicious and not to spicy, I prefer a bit hot, but good overall.

They have really good tacos n borritos. Been coming here since forever and its definitely a goto for some quick food

By far the BEST tacos I have had outside of San Diego and even comparable to some places in SoCal. Great prices that you can't beat. Im looking forward to going back again to get my fix. Neighborhood is a little sketchy but the tacos are worth it. Also nice to support small businesses that put so much care into making excellent food!

Had asada tacos. They are a bit on the greasy side BUT it's DELICIOUS grease! The flavoring was very good. They have a condiment bar which is a necessity. I WILL be back!

Amazing tacos .. from looks of It it's not a place I'd normally check out but a friend recommended and boy am I glad I gave it a chance definitely one of my favorite of not favorite place to go for my tacos Made fresh to order good choices of salsa I would highly recommend this place to anyone .

Great little spot, authentic Mexican food. Almost as good as my mothers cooking :) Carne Asada tacos were great! Meat was tender and had a great flavor, not bland at all. Several salsas to enhance and already great meal. In my humble opinion, some of the best tacos in Visalia. This will be my new go to for Mexican food.

This place is soooooo good!! I've only had Asada tacos but everything else looked amazing!

This is mine and my family's favorite place to grab tacos, burritos, or quesadillas. All of their meat is amazing! Especially the carne asada-my absolute fave!! Unlike most of all the other places/trucks in Visalia you really do get your money's worth here. With every order they will give you grilled onions and jalapeno that just add the perfect touch to every meal. And of course you still get cilantro and raw onion too! They have a condiments area to take all the lemon and pico your heart desires. There are other toppings and sauces too, they have an awesome avocado salsa that tastes so good on the carne tacos!! My mouth waters whenever I think of them. A friend told us about this little tiny taco hut a few years ago and it will always be a favorite go to for us as long as they keep it up! Seriously so good! Must try!!

Very delicious! You can put your own toppings on whatever you decide to order the tacos and Tortas are awesome. The meat doesn't have an old or stale taste. Seating is outside. There is quite a bit of parking.
