Universal Hollywood Serves a New Stranger Things-Themed Food Menu | Eater LA

"I read the Los Feliz Ledger's review that Mi Corazon is an unassuming Mexican spot hiding away in Silver Lake and, with the loss of Malo not far away, may be the next best option." - Farley Elliott

Google
Very prompt and friendly service, even though the restaurant was busy. I tried the strawberry cold foam matcha and it was delicious! I’ll definitely be back to dine in.

I visited this coffee place, and unfortunately, I was really disappointed with the customer service. The staff was not friendly or welcoming, which was surprising since the shop wasn’t busy at all. I was hoping for a positive experience, but the barista seemed uninterested and a bit rude when I asked a simple question about the menu. Even though the shop wasn’t crowded, the service felt very inattentive. It would have been nice to receive a bit more warmth and professionalism, especially because the atmosphere and location are great. I hope the staff can improve their attitude and customer service — it would make a big difference.

Google
Mexican inspired food and design from their Abuelita. Food was delicious and definitely coming back to try more of what’s on the menu. I ordered an horchata matcha, Mexican Mocha and a breakfast Panini! Highly recommend this location for any time of the day. They also had great service. Spoke with the owner and she was answering any questions I had. Love love love! 🫶🏼 CASH ONLY

Got influenced by tiktok and once again disappointed. The drinks do not look anything like what they promote. The coffee was okay, I ordered a mazapan latte and I could rarely taste the mazapan. I ordered chilaquiles divorciados, they were really dry no sauce. Honestly, the hype isn't worth it. Fyi it’s cash only and be patient for the wait times on your food.

Was looking for a spot to have a cute little brunch date and definitely found my new favorite place! I loved everything about the atmosphere and their menu has so many great sounding options to choose from. I knew immediately I was craving some pozole and ordered the pozole verde with flautas de papa and ohhhh my god! was it so so good! there was a generous amount of chicken in the pozole and the flavor was amazing and just the right amount of spiciness. i cannot wait to go back and sample more of the menu! but heads up it is CASH ONLY

Came here with my friend for a late brunch. It was a cute small atmosphere and we were greeted and sat down right away. Our server was so sweet she was bubbly and fun to talk to in general. Our food came out quickly the tortilla chips are homemade and were so good! I got the mole chilaquiles which were more on the sweet side than spicy and the flavor was so good. The drinks were great and we bagged our dessert because we still wanted something sweet but were so full! Overall such a cute spot and great service. I will say that they should have an atm or accept credit cards because right now it’s cash only and thankfully we had enough because we were not expecting to order so much but we couldn’t help trying multiple things 🤗

I had high hopes for Mi Corazón Cafe, but unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The food was horrible and honestly, it didn’t justify the price at all. The pancakes were so dry, they were like KFC biscuits, to the point where my kid didn’t even want to eat them. The chilaquiles were worse – it tasted like they just poured canned salsa and beans on top, no flavor or effort at all. The drinks, despite decent presentation, were watered down and tasted awful. The water even had that unpleasant "sink water" flavor. The service was another letdown. The waitstaff seemed distracted and unorganized. Not once did anyone check if we needed anything, and they all appeared like they had just rolled out of bed. For almost $100, this was an absolute ripoff. I won’t be coming back here.

The second I walked into Mi Corazón, I knew I wasn’t gonna wanna leave ❤️ La comida era muy rico- I got the nachos. And my drink, ay dios mío, it was amazing- matcha horchata 💖 Will be back very very soon!

Yelp
Cute decor and Drinks. Cash only ( atm inside) and you have to order at the bar for drink take outs. Wished it was easier to know how the process worked. Cute little patio outside and most importantly it was gated ( which is highly appreciated for those with kids)

Yelp
Stopped in on dia de los muertos after visiting the museum. We walked in and weren't really clear if we're supposed to sit and place our order or order than sit. We opted for ordering than sitting. I had a horchata latte. My kiddo had a strawberry horchata with a concha. Neither of us were overly impressed with our drinks, but the strawberry horchata was better than my latte. The place is very cute. They have the atmosphere down. The service could have been slightly better. Our total was $15 I think. Also note, it's cash only. I hate cash only businesses had I realized that prior to promising my kiddo I would have skipped it altogether esp since I never carry cash and had to use their in house atm.

Yelp
I passed by this place 2 times and they were closed. Yesterday finally they were open and I stopped in. I went 2 the bar to place my order, but no one greeted me until 7 minutes later. The order taker seemed cool, not much personality but decent. Another lady helped her with my drink orders. She informed me that they are closed on Mondays & Tuesdays which would explain. The place is decorated nicely and bright. I ordered drink #8 which was decent. I ordered a strawberry & banana smoothie for my other half who said it was ok. Not sure if we ordered the wrong thing or if everything is just ok. Hmmm.

Yelp
Hi everyone so let me start with such a great restaurant and staff. Our server was super duper nice and positive and friendly which was awesome. She explained everything so well and service was fast also. So the drink are very good and the food super tasty and very good I highly recommend this spot for sure and we will definitely go back to taste of that delicious menu for sure!!! And the prize was not to bad considering now a days everywhere you go it's over $100 which is crazy to me. Please go try this place and let me know if you guys liked it or loved it.

Yelp
Dined in on a Saturday morning, plenty of seating and cute ambiance. Was excited to try this place after seeing it on multiple social media accounts but sadly, was very disappointed. My friend and I ordered the bolillo French toast, my pieces were CHARRED. I didn't get the chance to say anything because our waitress never came back after taking our order and when she finally came back, she had the check. My cafe de olla was bland with a very bitter aftertaste. Maybe it was an off day, but won't be returning. Of note, my friend got the horchata iced coffee and said it was very tasty.

Yelp
Wait staff was amazing & so helpful with selection of food. Place is vibrant cute for pictures. I loved the pozole & tacos durados! Just delicious. Cash only though

Yelp
Cash only! The location is convenient and easy to find if you are taking the Pink Line. However, we expected to have the glass mugs with our drinks, instead we got the plastic ones even though we dined in. The service was okay. I think it's a good location to catch up with friends since it's not noisy. The conchas are $2 which seem a bit expensive for a little concha.

Yelp
First time here & I want to be a regular already. Our server (Avril-sorry if I spelled name incorrectly) was phenomenal. Walked us through the entire menu and made us feel at home. Even gave us popular choices and everything we had was mouth watering great! I went with my fiancé and we already can't wait to go back. Especially during the summer time, we might just hangout there every weekend (haha). We ordered a Cheeseburger Torta and Mole Chilaquiles, one word = amazing. Enough said. Eating that food was one of those experiences where you know next time you are back in the restaurant, you would be sad if you didn't order the same thing again. That's how delicious it was. Okay, I could hype up Mi Corazón all day so I'll take it easy for now but thank you very much Mi Corazón and we will be back soon! (If it wasn't clear enough, this place is a must try in Pilsen). Don't forget, this place is cash only too! Personal Review: 9.7/10

Yelp
It was great! The food was simple for a Mexican cafe. Loved the decor. The ladies are very nice

Yelp
Such a great place in Pilsen! I went for a tasting and tried the elote dip, flautas, and horchata which were all delicious! The staff were also super nice and welcoming. Will definitely be coming back to try their fall drinks!

Yelp
Came her late Sunday a little different take on the usual Mexican food but everything was tasty. Love the beans reminded me of my mom's cooking. I tried the elote dip, breakfast tacos and the hamburgesa NL

Araceli T.

Yelp
Terrible service and food! Cafe de olla was served cold, forgot my water several times. The conchita rellena was stale and super sweet! Very disappointed in service and food.

Yelp
I stopped by today to have brunch, while driving down 18th and looking at many restaurants this one caught my attention. Once I walked in I felt in love with the small details that remind me of my culture. The lotería cards, the perforated paper with the logo of the restaurant and the portrait of family. Food wise we had iced horchata latte, the mango vitrolero, pozole verde and mole chilaquiles. The iced horchata was good it just needed a little more flavor to horchata to get the taste just right. The mango vitrolero was delicious, not too sweet just perfect. The pozole verde was really good, had that touch of spice but not too exaggerating. I only wished they added more cabbage to it and more spices. The mole chilaquiles were good, the only downside to it is that it didn't really had mole, just like 3-4 drops literally. If just a bit more mole was to be added that would make the perfect chilaquiles. Overall their customer service was really good, very welcoming and attentive. I would definitely give it a try again.

Yelp
First time going while I was in the area I ordered a mazapán latte and my brother an simple horchata both were just milk branded differently for a expensive price food took a while to get out but my homemade bolio was so soggy. Service wasn't that bad our waiter was pretty sweet and talkative took a while for a glass of water to come out but it was clean and decorative.

Yelp
Located in the heart of Pilsen, this, Hispanic café is a gem. They do not sell alcoholic beverages, and are cash only but a cute spot to get worked on or simply enjoy a meal. Although I did not order a meal here, the host was very gracious with tending to us.

Ana M.

Yelp
The food was not that great and for two people only it was $73 pricey They only accept cash

Abril G.

Yelp
Food Quality was plain. The staff are nice and friendly.Drinks are cute and all but don't really taste as it looks. Very welcoming environment!
