Sat in the bar to avoid the 15 minute wait for the dining room. Handed menus by the hostess and told it was open seating.
We (hubs and I) were greeted right away by someone who was not our server and offered water.
Our server arrived shortly after and took our food and drink order.
We ordered a millionaire and a peach margarita, both were very good. For lunch, we both ordered the carne asada chimichanga.
Our food was delivered within a reasonable time but without utensils to eat. After a few minutes (and just as I was about to get up) an employee walked by and we asked for napkins and silverware...and more chips/salsa.
The food was served hot, the portions were generous and everything tasted good...not great, but good. Unfortunately, the guacamole was served on top of the chimi but under the sour cream so my husband, who is not a fan of guacamole (yes, I married him anyway!) also lost his sour cream when scraping the guacamole off of his chimi. There were also two, very thick half slices of tomato on top of the guacamole but under the sour cream.
The ambiance was bar-ish with an average level of sound. The room we were in echoed so we were able to very clearly hear the conversation at the next table (either that or the man just had a very loud voice)
Unfortunately, once our food was delivered to our table, we were completely ignored by our server. No water refills, no second margaritas, no sour cream for my husband...we had to wave someone down, again, to get a to-go box. Once the food was boxed up, then our server arrived with the bill. Didn't ask if everything was good, didn't apologize for ignoring us, nothing. What was most disappointing was that he had to continuously walk past us because we were sitting between the bar and the dining room.
Food 6/10; Service 1/10...will not be going back.
