This place was recommended by a coworker and since we were in town we decided to give it a try. I am glad we decided to give it a try because it did not disappoint. The workers were amazing and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and the decor was nice. Parking was a bit difficult to find, but we expected this from San Francisco. The bread and sauce given at the beginning were delicious. I could not get enough and wanted more. The Lomo saltado needed a bit more seasoning, but it was still good. The pescado sudado was very good that I finished it all. The portions were great and I would be definitely be coming back when in the area.

One of my favorite Peruvian restaurants. I was given the wrong order today and was disappointed in my meal. Not because it was bad- but its when you think you're getting one thing but you get something else. Guy told me I ordered Lomo saltado, even though I ordered the Lomo a lo pobre. They did offer to give me what I actually intended on getting after the clarification but I didn't want to inconvenience the kitchen. The sangria was good.

The food is top notch and very filling, so if needed I recommend splitting a dish for the big portions. But don’t skip on the appetizers either. Not much street parking but nearby is a little parking lot and pay there to save yourself a headache. But I’d definitely come back here again

Excellent restaurant . I reserve 5 stars for the ultimate dining experience, but this place is close to that. The sangria is excellent and our dishes were fantastic. This place has a local feel and very friendly staff. I highly recommend this place and will go back. Most dinners are in the $18 range.

We have been coming here off and on for over 20 years. We were happy to take Muni bus line 29 then the 49 to have a nice lunch for our family of five on a day trip to the city. We were hungry after walking the morning being tourists in our own backyard. Three apetizers, four entrees, and 2-liter bottle of Inca Cola, with tip came out to $190. Big plates of good food. Sorry we don't have pictures of all the great food.

Absolutely disgusting, a disgrace to Peruvian food. Ceviche was just lemon water on fish, Conchas a la Chalaca were absolutely horrible. Not flavor at all. If you are looking for a real peruvian restaurant this isn't it! Customer service is great but food is horrible

Came here for lunch with a friend during the week and had an absolute amazing meal. The ceviche was fresh and prepared perfectly. The grilled shrimps and deep fried fish was also excellent as well! All in all, a great meal and will definitely go back again in the future.

Such good food! We just got back from it and I'm still thinking about their garlic shrimp. Note that the food here is not "fancy", it's just honest and made with love. The potatoes from the garlic shrimp brought back so many memories of my grandma and made it the best dinner I could have around here. Their empanadas are also delicious (especially if mixed with the spicy salad that comes with it). If you're looking for an authentic Latin flavored comfort food, this is definitely the spot!

8/9/24 Loved every dish here, the workers are nice and the owner was very friendly. Portion size is huge and should be shared Chicharron Al ajo ($16) - comes topped with a lot of garlic and with a lemon sauce that I'd come back for Lomo a lo pobre ($26) - huge portion with lots of meat. Flavor was a little light but eat it with the sauce from the seafood dish Picante de mariscos ($27) - lots of seafood in a slightly spicy sauce. Really good Peruvian ice cream - very creamy and tastes like caramel

Please fix your aji gallina sauce. It says is spicy, but it has no spice at all, it just tastes like a cheese sauce! No flavor of aji amarillo at all. Tender chicken and rice but where is the Peruvian flavor?

This was a delicious spot for Peruvian food! The atmosphere is family owned cozy, and we ordered the Lomo a lo pobre, yucca a la huancaina, and from their weekend special menu choros ala chalaca (mussels). The lomo was yummy and paired with all the other food was enough for two. The cassava fries were HOT and fresh and had a tasty sauce. The mussels were yummy and had a very limey sharp topping, similar to a ceviche. Don't forget to try the Chicha Morada (purple corn juice) if you're feeling adventurous and want to try a new drink! So delicious, we shared the half liter but could've had a full.

Came here for lunch with friends. They raved about the restaurant so I let them order. Everything we had was fantastic and authentic tasting. I even enjoyed my sangria. It wasn't iced down like most restaurants do. We had a dish with steak and fries and onions. It was delicious. Even the bread was good with butter and a spicy sauce we put on it. We also had a cilantro rice with Chicken. My husband hates cilantro but he enjoyed this rice dish and it was so flavorful. We also had a dish that looked like paella but was actually a seafood rice. I loved it. The last dish was a spaghetti dish with chicken. Very flavorful and tasty. All in all - very nice restaurant. Service was on

The way I had been CRAVING lomo saltado for at least a year & I was so much more than satisfied. I ate the entire serving lol Can't recommend this place better. They're patient when ordering have no issues explaining what things are or recommending their favorites. Please give them a shot. Seems family owned which is a big win for me.

The wait was about 20 minutes.Parking super horrible very busy area.The service was wonderful waitress was super friendly and nice very attentive.The food was delicious as always have been coming here for many many years.Will be coming back to have lunch or dinner super excited can't wait.The food is very filling and you do take a lot leftovers home.

I'm content with the food. Been recommended this place when I wanted to try Peruvian food. As time went by other places have popped up but Mi Lindo Peru seems like a classic for the city. The service was on point and always attentive and the whole staff was nice. They refilled our waters and check on us often but not overdoing it. We started with ceviche mixto and a papa rellena. The ceviche was so good with a burst of flavour. The lemon juice itself was so comforting and yum. I felt like I needed avocado but that's fine. Love the banana chips, corn pops, the chunks of potatoes on the side. The papa rellena was so savouriy and not greasy at all. Add ají Amarillo to it if you want it spicy. As for drinks, we went for the chicha morada. The purple drink. Perfect amount of spices and refreshing. Lomo a lo pobre was an abundant portion of almost everything. Fried plantains, rice with kernels, and the beef with tomatoes and onions. The sauce is really the star of the show. The fried runny on top was a nice touch and totally fulfilling. I'll come back with a friend or family memeber to introduce them to Peruvian cuisine. A pisco sour would be nice

Came here Friday night for dinner. It feels like a hole in the wall spot. The servers are so nice and helpful. It was our first time trying Peruvian food and they reccomended so many great dishes and even showed us the dishes as they brought it out for other tables. The fried chicken with garlic was by far the star of the meal. It was so flavorful with the garlic and then the sauce was lemony and fresh. The pickled onions on the side paired well with all the flavors. The seafood curry was cooked well and came with lots of seafood. All the dishes were huge. Perfect for family style. The Peruvian ice cream was different but delicious. It's made from a Peruvian fruit and tasted kinda like caramel. Overall a great experience :)

Been coming here for so many years and never disappointed always a great meal. I've tried almost everything here over these years so you can't go wrong.

Finally got to try Mi Lindo Peru and it did not disappoint. We ordered 2 Lomo Saltados and the rice was super juicy, the meat was good (wish it was a bit more tender) the whole dish was so good. Then got the plantain and it was delicious but sour cream was not my fav. The service was nice even though we ordered online for pick up. But the ambience was really nice in there. Overall so happy, I will be coming back for more. Best of all, the price of course.

But if you're feeling adventurous, let me tell you: their mariscos saltado is on another level. The seafood is perfectly cooked, with bold, vibrant flavors that elevate the dish beyond anything else. It's a seafood lover's dream, with the freshness of the ocean in every bite, and it edges out the lomo saltado in my book! From the warm service to the incredible food, Mi Lindo Peru is a true gem. I can't wait to go back!

05.24.2023 - Hole in the wall. Nestled in the bustling area of mission, never would have thought a delicious Peruvian restaurant existed. Very quaint with the most minimal decoration and with only one television mounted on a wall, this furreal is a hole in the wall joint. A basket of bread served with butter and salsa. It's so good that it kept going in our mouth. After the 2nd round, we had to force ourselves to stop. You have to get their sautéed mushrooms with garlic. After forcing ourselves to stop eating bread, the mushrooms forced us to start again. Soaking the bread in the garlicky oil with mushroom on top was so friggin delish! Guess what? We had to order a 2nd round of sautéed mushrooms. Call us fat, cuz we "phat." Plantains with sour cream. This is considered breakfast in some cultures, but it can easily be considered as a dessert course. The plantains had sweet caramelized edges, soft and gooey centers, and the sour cream just added the perfect creaminess and tart to this simple, but phenomenal dish. Homemade sangria. It's supppppppper booozy. They don't play. Tiny diced up fruits, not too much, and even with ice, it didn't taste watered down. A legit glass of sangria. Inca Kola is not coke. Tasted like Ramune. Super sweet, not my style. All of their main dishes comes in size small or large. Their small portion is still very generous. Pescado saltado (small) was a dish made up of fried red snapper, fries and a side of yellow corn rice. The fish was on the saltier side, but with the rice, it worked! Of course, we had to mix in some of the sautéed garlic in it to enhance the flavor. Paella marinara (large) had fresh seafood. Jumbo shrimp and bay shrimp, calamari, tiny scallops and green mussels. Flavor was a bit bland. Needed some salt. Otherwise, it was good. Lastly, their Peruvian fruit ice cream. It tasted so buttery, toasty, mapley and caramely. We just got one to share, but next time, I'm getting my own! We throw company dinner for our employees and their family. You know what that means??? This place is on our top list to host it this upcoming June. I hope our employees enjoy it as much as we do! Can't wait to try some of their other dishes.

8/16/2024, I ordered, via DoorDash, FOUR Anticuchos meals from this restaurant. I bought 2 for co-workers, one for myself, and one to bring home. My first Anticuchos experience was amazing !!! Beef hearts on a stick !!!

Mi Lindo Peru was always excellent when I went there often 10-15 years ago. I've been meaning to go back lately, and luckily, I did the other night with my partner and was blown away again. The food was absolutely delicious. It's definitely some of the best Peruvian food in the city and even better, it's affordable, has huge portions, is a laid-back neighborhood spot, and the service is kind. I got the Lomo A Lo Pobre, which is like Lomo Saltado but with plantains and a fried egg. It was delicious, and the fried plantains were the best I ever had. I couldn't stop eating it until I was stuffed. My partner had some because he couldn't resist, and I still had enough for a big meal the next day. I'm still dreaming about it. We got the Ceviche de Pescado, which was huge with exactly the right balance of soft fresh fish, tart lime, sweet red onion, and crunchy roasted corn. Perfect. My partner got Parihuela, which was a huge seafood soup with tons of seafood in a rich and layered paprika-spiced tomato broth. I had a beer, and my partner had sangria and it was just super chill with comfortable and kind service. Our bill was $100 including tax and a credit card fee, which was well worth it for the deliciousness and the amount of food we had. I highly recommend it!

1/29/23 We were stuffed with an order of one entree, and 1/2 pint of mimosas split between two people. The bill was $49, which is very reasonable for this area, and I will be coming back! They give you bread, butter, and salsa (to each table) before serving you. I like their salsa and sauces. They're not something I usually have. Friendly staff, and I saw families and couples while I was there--a friendly neighborhood restaurant.

Lomo saltado. 4 stars for value. Lots of food. 3.5 stars for quality of dish. 4 stars for service.

We recently tried lomo saltado from 3 different locations, on the same night, and Mi Lindo's meal came in second place. I thought the portions were very generous and their price was spot on, $22.8 / plate. There was a smokeyness to their meat but lacked a little something, unsure what it is. If you like your lomo saltado soaked in that au jus, this is the spot for you. Their plantains were a little over ripe for my taste, but cooked very well and I liked that they came sliced with sour cream on the side. The drinks we had on the side were delicious. I would 100% order from here again but I think we both preferred another location more.

Yupppp U C it, all that garlic. This is ur sign to get the Pescado Al Ajo!!! Straight smackin, moist, flaky and good size. Perfect with rice. It comes fried or steamed so i got the fried one. The waiter said the fish was red snapper. Try it out.

Love this Peruvian restaurant. They give you a good portion of delicious food at a amazing price. The service is great too. Super friendly and accommodating. We were there for a show at 7:30pm next door and finished our dinner at 6pm. They let us sit there and chat for another hour without rushing us. We will definitely come back for more delicious Peruvian food.

Mi Lindo Perú? Two words: MUY BUENO! I had a mad craving for Peruvian lately and I don't mean my love for llamas and alpacas:3 I mean seriously who can visit Machu Picchu every weekend, right? I find myself in Bernal Heights in search for authentic Peruvian and somehow I stumble upon Mi Lindo Perú! Sounds legit! And this barrio screams authenticity. So Peruvian it is! I am warmly greeted as I walk in and decide to dine-in. Full blown Spanish tossed my way, as I grapple with my 2nd grade Español teacher lol. I peruse the menu and I notice every table occupied speaking Spanish. I mean you can't get more authentic than this, Si? I order Lomo Saltado and Sangria! The Sangria had a nice bite to it... reminding me of my days in Barcelona. Complimentary basket of fresh bread, soft butter, and spicy salsa was a nice touch. After a few minutes or so Lomo Saltado is served. If you're wondering Lomo Saltado can be described as beef steak sautéed with tomatoes, onions, potato fries, in Peruvian spices. The rice with corn and bread was perfect for the au jus like sauce. The flavor delicious but to me the beef seemed to be chewier than I would have wanted. In the end, I would not hesitate returning to Mi Lindo Perú. A charming LatinX owned restaurant in the older part of town. Authenticity screams everywhere in Bernal Heights and it only continues upon entering Mi Lindo Perú! Salud!

Amazing authentic Peruvian cuisine with friendly and caring service. We got Papa Rellena and Lomo Saltado and both were excellent. Can't wait to go back!

In well over 1500 miles of a road trip, this little GEM that was recommended by a SF citizen; turned out to be the best meal with the best service of our entire week long odyssey. We met my wife's school friend in the city, and after a museum tour we decided to take her advice and dine here! Never having tried Peruvian cooking before, I was up for a change. Every dish was amazing, even the grandkids cleaned their plates. I can't pronounce everything we got, but all of it was amazing. I had their take on shrimp in garlic with rice and veggies and I was way more than pleased! Nothing like finding amazing cuisine when one is hungry; makes for a spectacular meal. My lone regret is that I see nothing down this way to compare. Not easy to find parking, but well worth the effort.

Mi Linda Peru is one of our fave places when craving Peruvian food. It's been ages since we were last here and so excited to return. Arrived at noon on Friday and were seated right away. Soft bread, butter, and salsa arrived shortly after - love their salsa! Anticuchos are always a need to order when here - so yummy! Papas a la Huancaina another must - love that sauce! Hubs ordered the Tallarin Verde con Milanesa de Carne - the pesto pasta is probably my fave. So full of pesto flavor - if it weren't for the carbs I'd eat just a big plate of that. The breaded steak was also flavorful but hubs thought it was a tad dry. I ordered the Pescado al Ajo. The small size was plentiful. I love garlic and this did not disappoint. Such a great treat for lunch. Will try not to wait too long to return next time!

Nice little unpretentious, unassuming little spot with good food! Popped in here because we were craving Peruvian food and waiting for a concert across the street at The Knockout. The prices are a little high (like most places these days) and we weren't super hungry, so we shared a ceviche de pescado (I believe it was red snapper) and some fried plantains. Both were quite good, and the server was friendly, and brought us additional bread and plantain chips. It was a nice and relaxed, casual experience with fresh food and no nonsense.

The Food was delicious! I had went with a few others so I had got to pick off of their plates as well and in general the food was super good! I had ordered Lomo Saltado which was to me was okay-the seasoning that they use on the beef is super delicious, but I think personally the fries took away from the flavor. I know others who like the fries, but I would personally ask for them on the side or even without. My favorite plate however was the Camaron al ajo. The flavor was great and I could not get enough of it-it was absolutely delicious and would totally recommend! One thing which was interesting to me, which I liked, was the The service was great as well as the waiter was super kind and very patient and very attentive to us! The environment was calm which made it enjoyable as well!

Five out of five best Peruvian restaurant in the city it has its authentic Peruvian taste in flavor, i can get that real Peruvian taste. My family and I've been coming here for many years. I've came here ever since I was a kid and it's always been really delicious. The servers is always on point and I forgot his name , sorry but he went above and beyond when it was my little sister's birthday and I was super happy and thankful, its also amazing inside I highly recommend always.

The food was good but missing some flavor. The Rocoto sauce helped a lot oh that sauce was really spicy good . I had order the pescado Saltado. The service was great nothing to complain about . The ambiance was good not super loud it was empty then so many people came in after it was just fine .

The food was delicious as always! I come from Petaluma into SF just to enjoy this restaurant!! The staff is amazing amazing Peruvian food!!!

I finally satisfied my craving for Peruvian food!! Everything here was so delicious and the portions are huge. The complimentary bread they give you comes with this red onion sauce that was just so damn good..The mariscos ceviche was soaked in lemon juice and tasted so fresh. But the real deal breaker?? The huge ass plate of lomo saltado. Long story short, we left very full and very happy.

While it is not as good as it used to be it has gone back up. The huancaina may never be what it once was but it is still good. The lomo saltaldo is good as well. I get the lomo and papa a la huancaina. Sometiems I get sopa la criolla. The only thing I don't like is they charge about $4 for the side of huancaina sauce and they used to give you a good amount but now they give a little tiny sample size cup and that is no where near enough. Other Peruvian places I go to give that size cup for free of huancaina and another one gives a big container for the same price of $4 Mi lindo Peru should give more sauce like before or charge less as it is so little.

My parents really love this place which is surprising since they don't really venture outside of their comfort zone. Ever since they introduced me to the food here I've been hooked! I haven't been here since pre-covid so I got a big craving to try it out again. My girlfriend and I ordered to-go and it was still just as good as I remember. I got the classic Lomo saltado which is sliced steak, onions, fries, and rice. The steak is covered in what reminds me of an au jus sauce so it keeps everything tasty! My girlfriend got a the Tallarin verde con milanesa de carne which is a pesto pasta with a huge breaded steak on top. The breaded steak was thin and tender, reminded us of a country fried steak almost. The pasta was very soft, couldn't twirl it without breaking. Pesto had a good consistency and not over oily. Meals come with a side of bread and their hot sauce/salsa so it's great for dipping! Staff was very nice and inviting when we stopped by. Overall would recommend to anyone craving Peruvian food or that wants to venture out!

Have you ever craved ceviche? If you have, look no further. This is definitely the place for you. My friend was really craving it one night so we came here for dinner. I love this type of restaurant- it's like eating a home cooked feast. We ordered the ceviche, the fried chicken and beef hearts to start and the lomo saltado and seafood paella as our entrees. Way too much food and everything was great. The ceviche craving was definitely satisfied. In addition to the seafood ceviche, I really loved the lomo saltado. The beef heart skewers are also a delicacy you don't see in a lot of restaurants. Service was great - with tax and tip and a drink each, this was $65 per person, which is a fantastic value for the food in SF these days. Highly recommended!!!

I ordered for delivery and I enjoyed the Beef Empanadas and Lomo a Lo Pobre. Portions were GREAT, I probably didnt need the Empanadas but wanted to try them anyway and I wasnt sure how generous the portions were. They are ! Recommended !

Finally found a Peruvian restaurant in the city with good ceviche. Everything about the dish was great! I also ordered a glass of their homemade chicha and a glass of their passion fruit juice both which were delicious. The service was great so I will definitely be going back.

Love the Lomo a La Pobre. It's something like my Mama would have cooked if she was Peruvian, and she was the best cook I know. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Just like a meal should be. NEVER had a mediocre or bad meal here. Mi Lindo Peru is a keeper!!!

This was the worse Peruvian food we have ever eaten! We had a group of 5 adults who ordered the lomo saltado (very tough meat), seafood saltado (tiny bites of shrimp, horrible mussels), arroz con pollo, lots of rice and onions, insignificant amount of chicken) , papas a la huancaina, the sauce was very watery, empanadas were cold as well. Just an awful awful very pricey experience. For the neighborhood, quality and location, I don't know how they can charge what they do! We had indigestion for the rest of our day! Beyond disappointing!

I do hate leaving bad reviews, especially for a local business. While the one server was nice, I did ask multiple times for an extra ají amarillo and got every sauce EXCEPT ají amarillo. That was disappointing but so was the food. The chicharrón al ajo is all on the bone, fat and all, I give it a 3 out of 10, it's ok but the garlic tastes burnt, it was extra greasy and I'm not a fan of on the bone chicharrón, overall flavor was lacking. I attached the photo of yucca that they're charging $11 for. All other restaurants in the area charge $5 for a side of yucca that's the same amount, I'm very disappointed and it was all over done. The lomo saltado, while the better of the items, still fell extremely short. Meat was extremely well done, to the point that it was chewy, I give it a 4 out of 10. I paid $58 for three items and it was a MAJOR disappointment. I honestly wish I could get my money back.

I wish this restaurant was closer to me. I would go there every week. Their food is delicious. I went here on a very cold and rainy day and I had their seafood soup. It was so good and the portion was huge.

A bit of a hike from the BART station, but totally worth the trek. So many good things on the menu that you can diversify beyond the standard lomo saltado. Seriously, everything was just bursting with flavor! Bread, Butter & Salsa: This was different. Soft bread, soft butter and salsa. But the salsa was heavy on the onions and cumin, so more like chutney. Anyway, it was surprisingly delicious. Had to pace myself to save room for the food I was actually paying for. Chicharron Al Ajo: These was AMAZING! Every bit of chicken had a super crispy exterior. The cuts were a little odd with a bunch of bones, but maybe that kinda small piece big surface area technique is what enables it to be so crispy. There was an enormous amount of fried garlic on topic, which made it delicious. A nice dip of lemon juice and oil to add a counterbalancing tang. Lomo Saltado: This is typically my favorite Peruvian dish, so I've tried a ton of variations over the years. They don't get fancy with big chunks of filet mignon. Just respectable strips of nondescript beef that one would see in a stir fry dish. I liked that they cut the tomatoes into a similarly manageable shape. Swimming in its soy based marinade, so lots to flavor the rice with. The french fries were nice and crispy, but not overly so. Maracuya: I love passionfruit so I was all about this drink. Very refreshing paired against all the rich deep fried stuff.
