We kept passing by Pisco Peruvian Restaurant and saying we need to try it. Finally, we actually stopped and had lunch and it was excellent!
Everyone was extremely friendly and they checked in several times to make sure everything was going okay.
I got the Passion Fruit Pisco Sour and it did not disappoint. It is very tart though, so if that's not how you prefer your cocktails, you may want to try something else. My husband had the Inca Cola and it was yellow and was more like a cream soda, but he said it was good.
For a starter, we got the Empanadas de Carne. These were killer and clearly were freshly prepared and made in-house. The sauce was just a little spicy and really tasty.
For our entrées, I had the Seco de Cordero, which is a lamb shank, braised in a cilantro sauce. It came with rice, beans, and Salsa Criolla, which complemented it perfectly. The only suggestion I would say is to ask for some hot sauce. It was really mild, but would have been nice with a little kick. Delicious as it was though.
My husband had the Lomo a lo Pobre, which basically is the Lomo Saltado, but upgraded, with the addition of tomato, a fried egg, and plantains. My husband loves Lomo Saltado and he thought this version was excellent!
Overall, we had a great lunch! It was a little pricey (no lunch menu at lower prices), but we will definitely be back, probably for a nice dinner the next time. Overall: definitely would recommend!
