The food was so good the first time my son and I are here, we came back with his two older sisters! The juices were great. I had the passion fruit which looks like the mango, but taste way better! When you check out my pics! You can see that the soup I had looked delicious! It tasted better than it looked! The service was also great! You should give this place a try! But do not forget the empanadas, you will not forgive yourself!!!

Such as dishonest restaurant! One day they gave me ajiaco soup, it tasted bitter. I complained and their answer was " that's its flavor", when mine didn't have any capers in it and that's not the soup flavor at all. As a second opportunity, I asked my husband to pick some frozen chorizos, they charged him a lot more and when I called to complain why charged him more their answer was "we charged him the taxes for eating inside. Their answer didn't make sense because they knew my husband asked for frozen chorizos. Anyway, it's a restaurant that will not recommend to go.

Everything was good except that they automatically charge you 18%tips. I’ll always do tips. But didn’t like that. Other than that food was good.

Wow...our first time eating Colombian food and we loved it! Excellent dishes and friendly staff. Will definitely return. Highly recommend the Empanadas and the Bandeja Paisa. For dessert try the Torta Negra (wine cake).

My family and I visited this great place on Saturday night and even though was pretty busy the service and attention were really good. The food delicious and the prices are great considering the large amount they serve! I highly recomen this little typical Colombian restaurant but big in heart. Food was ok , atmosphere was not too welcoming for being our first time there. Service was definitely not what is expected , I’m guessing because gratuity is included. Our order took a very long time and we had to keep asking different people for things because I could not tell if the waitress was for order only or really our assigned one. All in all it was ok, not bad but not great. If you like good service and friendliness, well this is not the place.

First time here. Drinks, food, service, awesome. I don't even know what I ordered to be honest lol my friend who's from Colombia ordered for me and it was delicious. If a Colombian says it's his to go spot then listen to him. Honestly guys food was so good, just show them my picture and say I want this because it was amazing.

Although the food is just "eh", I usually opt for this Colombian restaurant when I crave the cuisine, but after browsing other reviews, I've discovered a few places I haven't yet explored. However, I won't be revisiting this particular one. I've attached a photo comparing the bill with the itemized list. Isn't this a contradiction? I noticed later (the tip was already included) and rectified it, but this lack of transparency is off-putting. It feels unethical and dishonest to me. Consequently, I won't be coming back.

I would be careful with your credit cards here. I paid for dinner and the server forgot to give me back my card. Went back the next day to get it with no problems. The problem is later that week my card was fraudulently used to make purchases. This has never happened to me and it happened the only time the card was not in my possession.

The food is sooo good but the only problem I have here is that the food takes a while and not just like normal it's long time but other than that the food is soo good

Been craving some good empanadas like I used to get as a kid in Buenos Aires. Had high hopes, but unfortunately these are some of the blandest most boring empanadas I've ever had, in any country. Not 100% sure, but they seem like they came out of a bag, frozen. They may have other things that are great, but we went for the empanadas after being told they're the best around, and they surely are not. If you come here don't do it for the empanadas.

My friend brought me to this restaurant, I loved how it was open and spacious. There was maybe 2 people when we arrived by the time we left it was full. Our server really wasn't attentive, but I noticed he checked on other people quiet often. It was somewhat disappointing. We ordered the bread with cheese, some empanadas the sauce for the empanadas was amazing! And so was the cheese bread. Literally melts in your mouth. I ordered pollo a la plancha, someone ordered the fried fish, and bistek encebollada.

Not so good to be honest , I am Colombian and when it comes to real Colombian too/bakery , the best option is El Portal! .

The Worst colombian food i have ever tasted. La peor comida colombiana q me he comido. Hace 5 años fue el peor ajiaco y hoy en mi 2ndo intento fue la más espantosa sobrebarriga, puro gordo y nada de carne y con el guiso equivocado. Antes fueron las papas duras y hoy la yuca dura. En verdad horrible

We did not like this restaurant because is very expensive for the quality of food. El Portal y Casa Vieja is much better.

Coming from a Colombian I am so disappointed with the quality of service and food at this establishment. The staff did not embody what our culture is known for which is KINDNESS, ATTENTIVENESS, and FRIENDLINESS. We had to find our own table. The hostess was not welcoming and the environment was heavy. The food was over cooked, the meat tough, and even the seasoning did not represent Colombian cuisine. The price did not justify the quality, service and environment. I am sorry to have to write this review :( this was my second time coming here and I was hoping that they had made some changes.

This establishment offers good Colombian cuisine - but the staff is terribly dishonest. There were two of us and we ordered, ate, no problem. Until the check arrived. The server had filled in the amount leaving the blank space for tip. I said, "Excuse me. My bill is more than should be." He replied, No, it is correct, I have added a 20% gratuity!" WHAT?!?! Why would you do that? You left the tip blank for me to give you MORE $$$$. Not happening. He said "I can remove the tip." I said No. What a Dumbass I was to say no. Anyway, if this is the kind of operation they want to run, I do not have to darken the door. If they add gratuity, they should be above board and let the customers know. I will never go back to a place that rapes their clientele,

Went specifically for the Empanadas. Wasn't disappointed. They were awesome! My wife and her 2 friends had never had Colombian food before. After these empanadas , they were sold. The salsa that comes with them is one of the best I have had. Could eat it by the spoons full. Give it a try, should be pleasantly surprised.

Expensive, inattentive service. Tried an arepa, did not like it at all. Overall pricey and stuck up staff for mediocre offering. I was really looking to try different cuisines but this place was disappointing.

I wish they were more Colombian restaurants in dallas, I took my mom here because she loves Colombian food, I typically don't eat it that often and again probably because there are not as many Colombian restaurants around the Dfw area. My mom has gone to Colombia several times and she can compare with real Colombian food, she told me she really liked the flavor for except few dishes, the service is good although slow, try the bandeja paisa if you wanna try several things and you are new to Colombian food, this is my recommendation.

Best Colombian Restaurant so far definitely my favorite out of three. Food is always delicious and fresh, service is always outstanding and friendly.

Since relocating here from New York last year, I have struggled to find a legit Colombian restaurant (not some fusion thing with dishes from 15 different latin countries disguised as Colombian). After trying all of the other ones, including one the most-horrible one (named after a tropical tree), we found Mi Pueblito and gladly drive the 35 mins to get here. Everything here is 100% legit Colombian. Empanadas are excellent, soups (sancocho and ajiaco) are on the money, and all of the entrees are made just like in Colombia. As a plus, they recently added a bar so now you can have a variety of alcoholic beverages. Honestly, the food is so good, we usually wind up eating, then taking a dish or two home to enjoy the next day. Do yourself a favor and delete all of the other places from your GPS, and get down here to Mi Pueblito for the most-authentic Colombian meal.

My experience here was absolutely amazing for lunch, everytime my wife and I come here it just gets better and better each time. I am so grateful for this place and amazing fresh food! Never gets old

If you love Colombian food then you'll love it here! Quiet little spot where you can have a romantic dinner. Service is great & they make you feel like you're at home in Colombia. The food will bring back memories of your time in Colombia.

Bandeja paisa, pollo a la plancha and theirs empanadas a must to try. The caldo de res is so delicious too! And the portion is very generous.

I was excited to try Mi Pueblito. They food was REALLY GOOD. Got the parillada and everything was delicious. My only complaints about the place is that they desperately need to invest in a margarita machine. By the time we got the "frozen margaritas," we were halfway done with the meal. Done one by one in a blender. No excuse for that. Also the service was really slow with hardly anyone there. I asked for water TWICE. It should have come immediately. I'll probably try them again because the food was really good. Maybe to-go and enjoy their delicious empanadas at home with a glass of wine.

I went there last night, didn't like the service at all, the staff arguing in a "meeting" about their schedules, all their responsibilities, how many ppl they should hire, everything very loud, zero consideration about customer service. They didn't care about the customer at all.

I travel often and when I saw this place had positive reviews. It did not disappoint, the food was amazing. I had a Banda Paisa that was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Took some chicharron for the road. Highly recommend.

The food was outstanding. We had arepas and empanadas. The plantains were amazing. My favorite was juice and milk drinks- guava and soursop. Definitely will be back. Only drawback was it was slow service. The poor guy was taking orders, answering phones and running the register.

Empanadas. Very good. Made to order. All tables I saw ordered this. So I did too. Sobrebarriga en Salsa, grilled beef brisket with potato and yuka stew, was good. The brisket was definitely not grilled. It was a bit dry but the stew would make up for that. Just only get the potato/yuka stew. No need for rice and salad cause they didn't really add anything to the dish.

Absolutely delicious food! My wife, my self, and my two kids decided to check this place out, my wife was craving some sweet plantains (maduros) and good Colombian food. Anyway, we ordered Bandeja Paisa, fried fish Mojarra Frita, and a side of fries for the kids. The fish came out as a whole fish, my wife was not expecting the eyes, head, fins, everything on her plate, she was quite surprised. So, I picked the bones off and removed the head and fins and it was good to go. Gave some fish to my picky kids, and they loved it, they ended up eating half of it. It was perfectly fried, tasted a bit earthy, fresh, sour and salty. The Bandeja was as expected, lots of meaty steak goodness and very tasty, sausage was very flavorful. Food portions were perfect for all of us. Quality over quantity. The service was prompt and very friendly. Definitely one of our favorite place and will come back again.

I found the establishment to be loud with a long waiting period before ordering and to receive the food. This is the only restaurant I have been to were they can't get avocados (come on, Mexico is just down the road). It also is the only Colombian restaurant were they make you buy a side order instead of a swap (maduros for patacones). Paisa service and food is still better at El Portal in Carrollton.

A great hidden Colombian food gem. The food is great and with a homemade feel. The best thing is the helpful, polite and genuinely caring staff. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Thus place has great food get the tostones in tomato salas its to die for!!! They have a whole fish fried that you can get! The sweet plantains are amazing and the white rice is the best i have had in a long time.

Best Colombian restaurant, good food and service. The starters and food are delicious and are perfect to share. My favorite starter is the arepa con quesito and the entree is the picada paisa. The mango-milk juice is awesome. You need to try it.

Simple, unpretentious, down to earth home cooking. Andrea is the friendliest waitress I have come across lately. She displays the Colombian hospitality and makes you feel at home. The empanadas were perfectly cooked and so crunchy. We will be back very soon!!

Amazing food, great service, amazing food, great service, repeat ;-) The food is very authentic Colombian - but they also will help folks find something less exotic on their menu too. The result is a restaurant that is great for a variety of taste buds. We can take friends who love to eat outside their box, and those who are less adventurous.

First time having Colombian food and it was delicious! Fried Plantains were nicely cooked. I'll come back for sure!

The soccer game and tunes played in the background. Visited around 1pm on a Saturday. Service was speedy and the waiter was friendly! Ordered the Mojarra Frita. One of the best meals I have had in the metroplex! Dish came with plantains, rice, and salad. Definitely coming back!

The Morcilla con papa criola and the Tamal Tolmiense were absolutely delicious!

Came here to try their empanadas but they really small and kinda oily. That's when I learned how Colombians make empanadas. Not the same as other countries.. taste was 4 out of 10. This place was also quiet and had no customers. I think the spot is jinxed bc it's the second place that opened within a yr.

Mi Pueblito is hands down my favorite restaurant in the metroplex. It is fairly new but delicious. If you're not Colombian but want to try the food I recommend you get empanadas as an appetizer, and the bandeja paisa as it includes a great variation of all the foods on the menu! Will be back soon!

Not the best place to try real Colombian food, I ordered a sancocho which is a soup with meat, potato, yuca and plantain I was very disappointed by the smell of the soup and the yellow color. it really stinks my husband tried the bistec a caballo which was ok but not something that I would repeat, the rice was good and the cucumber that came with the salad wasn't fresh. Juices and papas criollas were good. Service was friendly but not a fan of the food. And never go to their bathrooms those were gross. I am Colombian and this restaurant really disappointed me is a shame because this was my first time there and I would not recommend it to anyone

Delicious Colombian food. Great empanadas typical from the city of Cali but which has such a unique flavor that it is widespread in Colombia. Their yuca frita was exceptional. They have a small yellow potato called papa criolla that I have been looking for everywhere and can't find. Needless to say I oeered a whole side order for myself. The fruit juices are delicious and like any Colombian knows.....we need our fruit juices every day. Will be coming back for sure.
