"This is the restaurant that first introduced the area to wondrous slap of biang-biang noodles being pulled and cut fresh. The hot oil-seared version’s simplicity shows off the springiness of the wide noodles best. Diners who descend in a group can get the same impressive noodles layered at the bottom of chicken on a big plate, otherwise known as dapanji." - Jay Friedman

TLDR: Very tasty Northwest Chinese food. Good place to eat lamb, cold rice noodle and soup. Better than Taste of Xi’an. —————— Pro: 1. The lamb soup and all related soup dishes are so good. The baked donut is incredibly well-made. Smells good and tastes good; 2. The price is fair, each main soup dish ranges from $11 to $16, and that’s enough for one adult; 3. Not crowded yet, as not many people found this good place; 4. Service is good. They even offers you really decent recommendations based on true feedback or feelings if you’re open to chat. 5. Parking is really easy. —————— Con: 1. The name is somehow distracting, making you concerned if it’s a good Chinese restaurant; 2. I wish it can come with more meat, though it’s lovely already; noodles are not that good Really recommended!

Observations Upon Entering the Restaurant: Lack of Welcome and Service No welcoming greetings received upon entry. No water, menu, or assistance with ordering provided for over 10 minutes. The waitress was observed focusing on activities at the register rather than attending to customers promptly. Service Quality: The service was notably slow, resulting in extended waiting times. Waiting Time: The waiting period was considerably long, contributing to a less-than-optimal dining experience. Food Quality: The quality of the food was average or mediocre, failing to meet expectations. Future Visit: Based on these factors, I do not plan to revisit the establishment in the future.

We have been to this place many times over the last few years but this is still my first review for it. They specialize in cuisine from northwestern region of China with lots of flour based dishes so if you are looking for low carb food this isn’t the place for you. Our favorite is the Big Platter Chicken, which is shown below. We’ve always ordered this dish whenever we dine here. The portion is huge so don’t expect that you will be able to finish it. Just enjoy what you can and pack the rest to go.

Nourishing Mutton Chop is like a secret menu - sharing portion, very delicious, not to be missed! It’s made of super tender lamb chops with bones and a little of skins, smokey tofu, vegetables, chewy clear noodles, goji berries and dried dates with the store’s famous lamb soup base. Perfect choice for a chilly winter day.

Nice!Eat there every week! I like their breakfast

Google
You know it's authentic Chinese when raw garlic is offered as condiment. Biang biang noodle was quite good. You know the chef is good when the fried peanut is good. Pork bun was good. Candied garlic as side dish was excellent. Mutton soup was good except the bun pieces inside were a bit on the chewy side. Dumpling was rather tasteless and I won't order again. Service was fast and efficient. Having been to Xi An, not perfect but very good already.

Just go eat there and stop debating. Have the lamb soup if you love lamb and need a soul warming meal. Just go and have some food. It's an unassuming diner. Easy ordering with pictures on the menu. It's good if you're just looking for a quick bite or some place to feed the family. Prices are reasonable. Service is great. But the food, oh my, the food. I would 100% have lamb again. I couldn't finish the food. It was too much so I took a container home and they gave me even more soup. I feel like a glutton. I feel fulfilled. The stewed egg was tasty and provided a nice contrast to the soup.

Drove by a few times and finally tried it with a friend for quick lunch. Everything tasted good but nothing wow. Pig ears had good flavor and noodles texture was good. Tomato egg tasted homemade :) that noodle was very wide. Chinese doughnut was on the house and was served cold. Next time when I am nearby I will go back and try more dishes.

Yelp
I have walked by this restaurant many times, but they never piqued my interest because they are always empty! I decided to look up their menu and turns out they sell Xi'an dishes. Their menu is comparable, if not bigger than Taste of Xi'an, Xi'an Noodles, and Fang Tang Noodles. Their prices appear to be more reasonable, too. Their dishes are traditionally prepared meaning most of the meat centric dishes are bone-in, FYI. There are many unusual dishes, and I love being adventurous. Their service is a shy tentative. They react to my beaconing but otherwise did not approach. Their interior is simple; it wasn't off-putting by any means. During our time inside, only Chinese people came to eat. All Chinese. (Yes, I can tell.) This must be authentic food! This restaurant doesn't do any social media as far as I can tell. If you click on their website link, old images of sushi will show up. Continue with "Order Online" and you can see their menu. Smashed Spicy Eggplant, $15.99 - 4.5 Stars I didn't know what to expect for "smashed" eggplant dish (maybe like baba ganoush), but I certainly did not expect a pestle and mortar on my table. We skipped the smashing and ate as is, which was delicious, even if a bit oily. I also liked that this dish is served with century egg at the bottom. Tomato and Egg Biang Biang Noodle, $10.99 - 5 Stars Surprisingly savory, their version is excellent. Better than others I have had. Spicy Cumin Beef Sandwich, $7.99 - 5 Stars By including veggies in the filling, they made the sandwich a more substantial and balanced meal. Flavor is very good. We approve of this modification! Beef Roll, $11.99 - 4.5 Stars The wrapping is a flaky pastry, while the beef filling is thickly sliced and plentiful. Hubby approved. Spicy and Pungent Rice Noodle Clay Pot, $8.99 - 3.5 Stars The nomenclature confused me. That is not a claypot. It is not pungent; it is ma la spicy. I was hoping for stinky tofu type of fermented pungent. Nope. They had ground beef in the broth, which is a turn-off for me (personal preference). Their menu could use a bit more description. Green Onion Pancake, $2.99 - 2.5 Stars This is the least oily green onion pancake I have ever seen. Even though it is nicely layered, it is unfortunately a bit dry. It would be good to dip in sauce, but not to eat by itself.

Yelp
Would definitely come back, enjoyed the easy system to view menu, order, and pay via the QR code. Glad it also will aggregate for the table so everybody can throw in what they want. Came to around 25 for one of the sandwiches (spicy beef) and a two combo noodle. The sandwich was dense w the beef, jalapenos and onion. The noodles were long and with the right chew, had similar things and taste to the sandwich if I'm honest. But so many options, will have to come back to try again.

Yelp
My friends and I had dinner here on a Monday night. Environment - it is not the fancy reataurant vibe, and it is a little old, but it is clean. It has tables for groups from 2-8 people, and it is pretty quite, so it is good for staying longer and talking. Taste if Xi'an is another place we go for 陕西 food, but that place is in a food court in a grocery store, and it is always noisy, and u often have to share tables with people. It is good for a quick bite but not for long stay and chat. Staff - there is one lady helping us with order and serving food. She is bilingual and friendly. Food - food is served pretty fast. Lamb soup with glass noodle is yummy, and broth is so good. I wanted to ask for a refill on the broth but i did not haha. 肉夹馍 is not quite like the one i had in China. The meet will taste better if it has a little more fat. My friend said that she prefers the 凉皮 from taste of Xi'an. Overall, it is a good dining experience, and I would come back to this place.

Yelp
Best Xian cuisine on the eastside. The hot oil biang noodle, spicy pungent beef comb and cold noodle are especially good. This mon and pop restaurant is a hidden gem.

Yelp
Miah's Kitchen has a humble, family restaurant vibe. The food is mostly from the style of northwestern Chinese cuisine, which I like because it reminds me of my parents' home and is different from the typical Sichuan cuisine you tend to see. If you come in a group, I recommend getting the big platter chicken because it is full of flavor and you get so much that you can share. I also recommend the biang biang noodles, rou jia mo, liang pi, or yang rou pao mo.

Yelp
The food is so good! It's a hidden gem. The service is super fast but you get good quality food and the proportions are good. The dishes are flavorful and delicious

Yelp
I dunno if I will come here again. Found a piece of long stringy hair that wasn't our's in our dumpling. Unfortunate bc we really enjoyed the food here.

Emelina W.

Yelp
I love this place but last experience is a little bit disappointed because they did not have air conditioning during hottest days in summer, and their main dishes are normally quite hot. But their food and service are great! Authentic Xian food. The 水盆羊肉 tastes great!

Katherine L.

Yelp
I'm honestly not sure why the reviews are so low. Granted I've never eaten in person- everytime I've gotten takeout the food has been great! I love the tomato and egg Biang biang noodles. The zha jiang one is good too but a bit too salty. I also ordered the beef Pao Mo soup (shredded flatbread soup) - also really creamy and tasty. My picky AF husband really liked it so that says a lot! I'll have to try going in person instead of always taking out.

Yelp
It's a pity the average review score has been brought down by the previous owners, because this place is a gem. A female owned family business, Miah's Kitchen puts heart, tradition and incredible flavor in all its dishes. It's tough to pick highlights, but since I got a photo of this luscious smashed spicy eggplant dish, I'll share that it was delicious. The handmade Biangbiang noodles are not to be missed, with that chewy texture that only comes from making the noodles by hand. Pro tip: Sunday mornings offer breakfast, which is not found through the restaurant website. I know from the owner it is a labor of love, keeping her up late the night before and early every Sunday to serve this special meal, and my friends have raved about it. I was in briefly from out of town but am eager to try it the next time I'm in town. If you're looking for authentic, traditional Chinese cuisine, and you're lucky to be in reach of Miah's Kitchen, this place is a must!

Yelp
One of the few biang biang noodle places on the east side. The restaurant was really spacious and clean, they had hand sanitizer by the door and all workers were masked. We ordered the hot oil biang biang noodles, cumin beef biang biang noodles, and the shredded potato appetizer. The shredded potato appetizer was 5/5. Perfectly crispy and tingly from the peppercorns. Loved the texture and the balance of flavors. I loved the textures of the biang biang noodles. Probably one of the best textures I've had in the Seattle area. However both noodle dishes were very salty. It seems like the sauce didn't really absorb into the noodles. Same goes for the beef pieces in the cumin beef noodles. If they made the sauce a little less salty it would be a perfect 5/5. Very affordable prices for a big portion (we got both noodles in the smaller size but still had leftover).

Fei X.

Yelp
I like the food here, fairly priced. I wouldn't call it super authentic XiAn style since they are not spicy enough for me. But I keep coming back for the location and friendly service.

Bob W.

Yelp
The pork bun or sandwich I got doesn't have much flavor. I liked the beef roll though and the pull noodle was pretty decent. I liked that they give us warm water instead of tap water. I think this is more of a 3.5 star The place was empty when we went in the morning on a weekday.

Lauren T.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place on a hot day when I was looking for cold noodles and I'm so glad I did! Everything I've tried has been amazing, but I really love the cold rice noodles. They're also really nice and fast.

Lisa J.

Yelp
When I decided to try this place, I was happy and felt like I found a hidden gem- you know it must be good Chinese food when the only people eating here are all Chinese. They hand out a laminated menu and you use a dry erase marker to check what you want to order. However the service was slow and the staff barely spoke English. I ordered green onion pancake which had only like 3 tint pieces of green onion in it... mostly a deep fried pancake... I also ordered the braised beef soup. The noodles were very good and the braised beef was delicate but the soup was very bland and full of oil.. also, they serve the soup very hot so I had to wait for the temperature to go down. The place has NO AC so it was like torture eating the noodles and made me regret going to a place with no AC and ordering hot noodles. My boyfriend ordered a different noodle dish with ground pork on top and he liked it but when I tried it, it just tasted like oil on noodles. His wasn't a hot dish so he had no problem eating. After the meal I munched on some raw garlic which I really enjoy.. but the service was slow and no one ever came to refill my water cup. I wanted to like this place for being authentic Chinese style food but it was too greasy for my liking..

Simran C.

Yelp
I really was hoping to like this place. But the ambience wasn't that great and neither was the food.

Peter G.

Yelp
The noodles here taste great! I highly recommend the cumin beef biang biang noodles. The beef noodle soup and green onion pancake are good too!

Allison L.

Yelp
I came here with my coworkers for lunch, and to be honest I'm not the biggest fan of the food here. The restaurant was like a typical Chinese restaurant, with lots of seating. The service was decent, probably since we had a big group-- our server was pretty attentive to our group of 8. The food came out relatively fast too. Maybe it's because I don't know what Xian food is, but I ordered the Zha Jiang Mian (炸酱面), or fried sauce noodles, and it was just not what I expected. I was expecting some noodles with fried pork and black bean sauce, with sliced veggies (usually cucumbers) on the side. What I got was a different story. The noodles I got looked like they had fried pork but they forgot the black bean sauce. Like it was just cooked ground pork on top of noodles. Okay, I guess that's fine. The cucumbers look like they were supposed to be sliced, but didn't get sliced all the way. That's fine too, because I thought looks doesn't matter as long as it tastes good. The noodles themselves were actually pretty good-- they were wide, chewy, and had good consistency. However, the part that really breaks this meal for me was how the noodles were DRENCHED IN OIL. there was at least a few tablespoons of straight up oil at the bottom of my bowl, which I really didn't like. Even when I tried to mix the noodles with the pork and the oil, the oil was very overpowering. The ground pork was kind of tasteless, so the ENTIRE DISH JUST TASTED LIKE THE OIL, and even the noodles and cucumbers were not able to salvage it. I was only able to finish half the bowl before the grease started to make me feel sick. I definitely would not recommend this dish, so if you come here, order something else! They have a lot of other food to choose from. I personally probably would not be back.

Yelp
We came here for dinner and I enjoyed my meal. Located in the Bel-Red area in a shopping center, it's an understated Chinese restaurant. On a weekday evening, the place was not at all busy. There were only two other parties, and it seemed like most of the business were those getting take-out. I ordered the Lamb Noodle Soup and my boyfriend had the Stewed Chicken with Rice. It didn't take long for our food to arrive, and for mine, the portion was large. Although my boyfriend did not like his dish, I have to say, I really liked the Lamb Noodle Soup and was what I was hoping it would be. The handpulled noodles were good, with a perfectly cooked texture and there were plenty of slices of lamb with. Of the entire dish, my favorite part was the lamb broth. It was very flavorful, a little creamy, and fulfilled my craving for soup. I would happily order this soup again! My boyfriend thought his Stewed Chicken didn't have enough actual chicken pieces, since most of it was fat, so would not recommend it. Overall, Miah's Kitchen provides an option on the eastside for hand-pulled noodles and other Chinese favorites. I'm glad to have found a spot, just for that Lamb Noodle Soup.

Monica K.

Yelp
Miah's Kitchen has been on my list for a long time. When we walked in, it was very empty. Maybe it's because a lot of people are staying at home amidst the public health concerns. Looking through the menu, there were so many dishes we wanted to try. The food options and the restaurant itself gave the impression of "home cooking", in a good way. We ended up getting the cold sesame noodles, a beef pancake, and a lamb noodle soup to share between 2 people. Honestly we ordered a bit too much, but it was so delicious we had to finish it all! Our favourite was definitely the lamb noodle soup. The noodles are fresh and handmade - you can tell from the texture. They soaked up the flavours from the soup and the lamb. Overall a great dish! Perfect for a cold winter day! Easy parking, plenty of tables, good food, reasonable prices. I'll be back!

Joshua A.

Yelp
Back again. Tried the pig ears and cumin beef this time. Everything is bomb. Handmade noodles and authentic flavors

Adam L.

Yelp
Sparking my love of Shaanxi cuisine! Biang Biang noodles are to die for. Also enjoy the liangpi and flat bread.

Mary D.

Yelp
The lamb soup with handmade noodle is definitely a comfort food for me. The soup is flavorful and the noodles are fresh. You have to love lamb in order to enjoy the lamb soup but I recommend this if you're looking for a flavorful noodle soup

Bryan K.

Yelp
I'm fairly new to Xian food, but I'm a sucker anytime there's hand pulled/ripped noodles on the menu. Came in for some Cumin Beef Biang Biang Noodles and a Stewed Pork Sandwich. At $6.99, the Stewed Pork Sandwich is much more expensive and lacked flavor compared to the other places I've had it. The Cumin Beef Noodles was a huge bowl of wide hand pulled noodles topped with beef, onions and green peppers. They really went all in on the cumin flavor. The best way I can describe it is like beef fajita mix over noodles. The noodles were a bit over done and broke apart when you try to pull them with chop sticks. It tasted a little better the next day. I was really hoping to find some great Xian noodles on the Eastside, after falling in love with them at Xian Noodles in the U District. I will note, the restaurant was filled with native Chinese people who seemed to really enjoy the food, so maybe I'm just not used to this regional style of Chinese food.

Jerry T.

Yelp
I just came back from Xi'an a month ago. Having fell in love with Xi'an cuisine, I've been longing to find a good restaurant on the Eastside. Although Miah's Kitchen is a decent spot for an affordable and authentic meal, I was disappointed by the lack of flavor and spice (not to be confused with spiciness) that I usually associate with Xi'an cuisine. I ate here with my family on a weekend. Although it was packed, we were seated quickly and service was fast and friendly (although speaking Chinese is probably a big plus...). For appetizers, we ordered the green onion pancake and sliced beef. I was really disappointed in how dry the green onion pancake was. The day before, I was at Dough Zone and had their green onion pancake, which not only is properly greasy and crispy, but also comes with 8 pieces instead of 4 for the same price. The sliced beef however, was fantastic. The cuts they used were really lean and not as gelatinous - it was so good that we ordered another serving. For the main course, I ordered a small bowl of Tomato and Egg Biang Biang noodles. This is a CLASSIC Chinese dish; regardless of what province you go to, you'll find some variant of it in the local cuisine. Having grown up eating this dish, I was really let down by the blandless of the egg and tomato. Not only did it not have enough salt/soy sauce, but it was also soupy, diluting the already bland flavor. The noodles themselves were the saving grace of the dish. Highly dense and chewy, they tasted like proper handmade Biang Biang noodles - a texture that you can't emulate with dried noodles. If you're ordering appetizers, a small is definitely enough, as these noodles are quite dense. For under $60 for three people, Miah's Kitchen offers good value. However, their noodles are a bit on the bland side. I saw a lot of people ordering this enormous hot plate full of sizzling chicken and potato. I'll probably be back to try that, but I won't order their egg and tomato noodles again.

Steve C.

Yelp
I came back with my friend who loves to explore food culture into different dimensions. We were both satisfied with what we ordered and enjoyed our Xi'an food venture. The Lamb soup with extra meat was so creamy, rich and flavorful, every mouthful packed with deep flavor of lamb taste. The green onion pancake was crisp and tasted wonderful dipping into the lamb broth. Lamb and radish dumpling was juicy and meaty, and the Cumin Beef sandwich with it's chewy texture really brought to the end of an enjoyable meal. Tempted by seeing the Mutton stew casserole poster, my dining companion decided to have it for take out. Having the dish divided in half we had enough food to last and enjoy for two meals for the following day, just have to admit we are hooked with Miah's Xi'an food and we will be back for some more soon!

Sylvia K.

Yelp
I love noodles. And Miah's makes excellent handmade noodles! My friend took me here for dinner when we were on the eastside. We ordered the Biang Biang three item combination noodles (came with three toppings, which were tomato & egg, pork soo zi, and pork zha jiang sauces) and the cold rice noodles. The noodles are SO GOOD. Just the perfect texture and chewiness - I am so impressed. I could even just eat the noodles, without sauce (but of course if the sauce is available I'll eat it with). The combo noodles were my favorite of the two things that we ordered. The toppings all tasted good and went well with the wide noodles. I definitely want to come back and try other things on the menu and get more NOODLES. This place is located in a shopping plaza where there's also a Marshalls.

Aria H.

Yelp
Definitely try their biang biang noodles! Tasty and very filling. Not sure why they don't have four stars.

Lynnie T.

Yelp
Ordered a BiangBiang Noodles with Egg Tomato and Pork Zha Jiang. The flavor of the soup is delicious but I wish noodles could be fresher cause it's very hard to chew and look kinda old.

Bob B.

Yelp
Unexpected surprise on NE 20th. We saw the open sign even though their listing says closed, they have Chinese Breakfast, Yes!!! Small selection of breakfast items and it's actually the perfect amount to get us going. The Donuts are perfect. The Wonton Soup had seaweed with it and was delicious. The Soy Milk was great too and the fresh garlic is a nice added touch. Try the pork bun too.

Robert N.

Yelp
Pretty hard to find some authentic Xi'an cuisine in the PNW without having to travel north to Richmond, BC. Decided to try Miah's Kitchen on a hot Saturday afternoon. First mistake. The joint was hot and humid, no running AC or fans going. You can see the waitresses sweat and hair stuck to their forehead. My coke went from cold to partially cold within 15 minutes of sitting. They need to get some ventilation system going on cause that forehead sweat and spicy noodles just ain't a good mix. And their ordering system sucks. They give you these laminated menus where you take a dry-erase marker to mark the items you want. Except, none of the markers work! I think we tried 4 different markers until we gave up and called for the waiter to order for us. I found the food pretty tasty which arrived quickly and piping hot. I am by no means a Xi'an food fanatic but the spicy beef shank and the wide biang biang noodles dishes had a good blend of flavor in the meat sauce. They also give you raw garlic to munch on after every bite of your noodles. The portions are large too so you'll be leaving full. There are lots of parking spots in the lot so you don't have to walk too far on a full stomach. This place would be pretty awesome though during the fall and winter.

Jonie L.

Yelp
I came to Miah's for dinner as a recommendation by a friend, so I had some sort of expectations. Sad to say, it was a little disappointing. Service was friendly, and we were spoke to in Chinese the entire meal, lol. I'm pretty sure they can speak English too though! Regardless, you mark what you want to order on the menu with a dry erase marker, which eliminates any potential miscommunication language barrier when ordering. So the food. We got spicy beef hand pulled noodles and lamb hand pulled soup noodles. Both were okay, I liked the broth for the soup and the lamb was pretty yummy too. Also, the bowl was big! $13ish though. As for the spicy beef, it has a ton of jalapenos! But not unbearably spicy - just right, I'd say 2.5 stars spice level. The beef and onions in the dish were really tasty, but the noodles alone were pretty bland. Had to try and eat the noodles with something else in each bite. The noodles were not bad, but kinda clumped together - in both dishes. Sadly, I've had a lot better at another place in Seattle that specializes in hand pulled noodles too. If I come back, I'd maybe want to try the "Big Plate" - it looked good and my parents might like it.

Lawrence L.

Yelp
Good start. Very promising to see more Xi'an food out on the Eastside, thereby stealing some attention from Biang! out in Edmonds (I hear actually it's the same owner). A good deal of the menu is hand shaven noodles, but as of yet they are not ready to serve those. Sort of weird as some items are crossed out but the noodles aren't but they don't have them either. Still we sampled a number of dishes on offer. Here are some notes: Liang Pi - the Liang Pi cold noodles aren't what you would expect - they just use the pho noodles, but they're also not cold. The spice and oil is pretty good though. Xian Chicken - one of the most unique items on the menu - very tender chicken meat Rou Jia Mo - the Lamb Burger tasted good but they seemed a little stingy with the amount of meat - not quite what I remembered from Xi'an. Dumplings - Lamb dumplings in Soup were excellent - so much so that we even got a second helping. Pao Mo - One of the signature Xi'an dishes. Exactly as I've seen it served in other Xi'an restaurants. One day I hope they'll let the clients rip up the bread themselves because that's part of the fun with this dish. Hope the criticisms are helpful as I have a lot of hope for the future of this place! I'll be back when the noodles are ready!

Huong L.

Yelp
I've been wanting to come to this place for a while now because I heard of their biang biang noodles. We ordered a couple of dishes to try as Yelp review showed a lot of good dishes. We ordered the 3 combination biang biang noodle, the cold noodle in hot chili sauce, the biang noodle with pork, the lamb dumplings, and a flat bread sandwich. Since I've never had biang biang noodles before, I thought it was great. Out of the 3 noodle dishes that I got, my favorite was the 3 combo, then the cold noodle, then the pork one. The soup of the pork one was kind of bland, but everything else was good. The dumplings was subpar, as it had no flavors. Even the sauce that it came with had no flavors. I had to put it in one of the noodle soup to add flavors. The flat bread was pretty good, but the veggies was pretty greasy and the flat bread could have been cooked more to get the crunchy texture. Overall, their specialty definitely was good, but other dishes might need some work. Prices and portions are pretty generous. I would come back if in the area.

Alice T.

Yelp
My 2 coworkers and I ventured over to Overlake Plaza to check out Miah's Kitchen, specifically because their hot oil seared biang biang noodles were featured on Seattle Magazine. We ordered the green onion pancake, cold sesame noodle, garlic broccoli, pork fried rice with mushrooms, pork and leek dumplings, and the hot oil seared biang biang noodles, of course. All in all, I would say that the experience was just average, other than the ordering which was unique because they have dry erase menus that you can mark up to show what dishes you want. The green onion pancake was pretty bland. Even a sprinkle of salt would have helped. The cold sesame noodle was okay: flavorful, but the tofu (or whatever protein they use for it) was a bit weird. The pork fried rice was actually pretty decent but on the oily side. Surprisingly, the garlic broccoli was fantastic! Deceptively simple, it was boiled in a perfectly salted broth bath with just the right amount of garlic to add some zing. The dumplings also were just okay, but came with a good sauce. Finally, the feature of the meal, the biang biang noodles, were also just okay. You can tell it was freshly hand-shaven, but nothing in the seasoning or preparation made it awesome. Disappointingly, there wasn't anything that wowed me, so I likely won't be back again.

Yelp
We ordered to go from this restaurant last week. Szechuan style food. Ordered the celery appetizer, beef noodle soup, and the biang biang noodles with tomatoes and egg. Big thumbs up for the noodles. Noodles are house made and they are very good indeed. These included the wheat noodles accompanying the beef soup. The celery appetizer was very authentic and had been made with Szechuan peppercorns. I felt my lips go numb when I ate this dish. Unfortunately, the food was swimming in oil. Even the soup noodles were oily. I did like the tomato and egg combination on the biang biang noodles, but wish there had been a lot less oil and a little more vegetables in the dishes. There really were no vegetables at all, but I think both the oil and lack of vegetables are typical for Szechuan. Also, their beef soup was not very good. The broth was completely flavorless. If you like Szechuan food and good house made noodles, I would recommend this place. If you don't like oily food, I wouldn't. I also don't recommend the beef soup (which wasn't oily but was also completely flavorless).

Yelp
Very classic Xi'an flavors. We took the shredded noddle with lamb soup and it tastes like I used to have in Shan'Xi.

Yelp
Food: 2.5 - As others have mentioned, the noodles have nice texture to them, but are incredibly oily. I dined here three separate times to try 3 different biang biang noodle dishes (tomato & egg, stewed pork, pork zha jiang) and every single dish had pools of oil at the bottom and left my lips coated with it. :( Service: 3 - As someone who spoke English dining here, I felt really out of place. I could never tell if the staff couldn't understand what I was saying, or if they were annoyed that I was speaking English. Research the menu ahead of time with friends or google--any questions you have probably won't be answered. Surroundings: 5 - Everything is kept clean and the inside is pretty spacious. Seating available for large parties or for two. Parking was never an issue when I dined here weekday evenings and during the Saturday lunch rush. Overall, I really wanted to like this place, but I won't be returning. I know people dine at places like this for the food and not for the service, but both are lacking here.

Yelp
What a delightfully original restaurant in Redmond. I can't think of any other place in the area that specializes in biangbiang noodles and is not afraid of sticking to what they're good at. It's not very often that you find this kind of thick noodles that are clearly homemade and authentically Chinese around here. And having quick service on every day of the week makes this even more of an appealing place to visit for lunch or dinner. I've tried several bowls of their biangbiang noodles, and they've never let me down. Basically, they're wide noodles topped with different kinds of meats and sauces. Both large and small bowls are reasonably priced and very filling. The menu is clear on what you order, and they even provide black markers for writing your order down on the menu, so you don't have to say anything. This certainly isn't the only noodle restaurant nearby, but it might just be the best.

Yelp
I want to give it a five star because the food is excellent. Very authentic and the portion is good. However it's slightly over priced in my opinion but that won't stop me from coming back. My friend and I ordered Liang pi, pork Rou jia mo, lamb pao mo soup and big chicken plate with biang biang noodle. The food is enough for at least three maybe even four people. Highly recommend lamb pao mo soup. The bowl comes with enough lamb but it doesn't include the sweet garlic. I decided to add the sweet garlic and they charge about .7$ for about 10 pieces which is too many process for a bowl of pao mo. Big chicken plate is a must and I highly recommend adding the noodles. The noodle tastes so good when it's soaked in the juice. Liang pi is surprisingly good. Love it. Definitely try it if you are a noodle lover. The pork jia mo is the only thing I may not order again. Not very authentic. It's not bad or anything, just not surprisingly good as the other dishes. Will definitely come again. By the way the four dishes added up about 70$ before tip.

Yelp
The biang biang noodles are delicious. They are wide and springy. You can get them topped in various ways. I tried the spicy cumin beef. The spice came from green peppers, jalapeños I believe. It wasn't too spicy. I enjoyed the dish. It was large enough to share and get other dishes to try. The green onion pancake was just okay, and didn't come with a dipping sauce (typically my guilty pleasure). The place is sparsely decorated, very casual, and food focused. I'll come back for more noodles for sure.

Yelp
For being my first time, I'm not really sure how to rate it. On one hand, the food was delicious, service alright. and the lunch hour wasn't as crazy busy as I thought it was going to be. We ended up ordering Cold Rice Noodles bowl and Big Chicken Platter. The waiter was nice, college-looking boy who took our order and went away. No checking up on us throughout the hour or anything close to it. We actually had to "holla" at him when we were ready for our check. But back to the food. Cold Rice Noodles is the only thing that would make me go back there. It was refreshing and the "mystery chewy meat" was actually not bad either. Big Chicken Platter was a 50/50 for me. Flavor was good and the dish is huge! But the chicken pieces looked like scraps that they took from other dishes, threw in a pot of olive oil and served with some noodles and potatoes. Again, not really sure how to rate it. It was good (specially the potatoes in it) but I doubt I'll ever order it again.

Yelp
I often came here when I used to live nearby. The grandmother in the kitchen is very nice. When she was not too busy, she would come out and chat with the children. she would make very fine noodle for the children to eat, and will also send some side dishes. This is a very authentic Xi'an noodle restaurant, like mutton noodles, small dishes are also delicious. I moved later, but I will come back to eat noodles here, like going home.

Yelp
I am still not sure what I ate and paid too much for it. It wasn't chicken. It wasn't beef. I had dog meat stew once at a Lakota ceremony (Seriously, I did. No hating on me now.) and this meat was like it: gamey, bone remnants...you get the idea. The portion was also small with about seven chunks of meat stuff. No rice. No veggies. Even if the meat was recognizable it was still a rip-off. I got a refund, never going back and I recommend you stay away, too.

Yelp
The hot oil biangbiang noodles and cold skin noodles are vegan, according to staff! The hot oil noodles are VERY spicy, so if you're more sensitive then I highly recommend the sesame cold skin noodles. It doesn't sound super appetizing but they're really good. Also try the sour plum juice and flatbread. I lived in Xi'an for a couple of months and this food tastes just like I remember. :)

Yelp
We ordered take out today. The Bian bian noodles with tomato and egg was ok. The noodles were too rubbery. The smashed spicy eggplant was good except it had egg in it and that should have been listed in the menu since that dish was for a vegan. The bandit chicken was the worst and completely inedible. The meat was majorly over cooked and hard as bone!

Yelp
WORST CHINESE NOODLE IN US EVER. I understand COVID-19 makes it a hard time for restaurants. But $15 for "beef noodle" with less than 1 oz beef is too much.TERRIBLE.

Yelp
I love their food! I studied abroad in 西安 and was thrilled to find some great biangbiangmian in my hometown! I love their spicy biangbiangmian, but with any of the biangbiangmian options you get delicious handmade noodles. So good! I recommend trying their 凉皮 (spicy cold rice noodles) with 肉夹馍 ("chinese hamburger"?) as well. We also loved their 酸梅汤 (plum juice). All the staff are extremely friendly, and if you're learning Mandarin they are very patient and encouraging towards you. Great food, great staff, reasonable prices. Definitely give Miah's Kitchen a try. I hope to be back soon!
