Google
Absolutely beautiful botanical garden. Completely free!. It is small but the way that the path is laid out, feel a lot bigger and we spent about two hours there I recommend the Free audio tour you can access by scanning the QR code. It was very informative. Seems like a perfect spot for a picnic to take the family for a break from the city.

Google
This place is not only beautiful, but you can also tell that the staff truly care for this stunning garden. There was a man working there who was incredibly kind to me, and even comforted me when I was feeling down. He even showed me some hidden, secret parts of the garden that I wouldn’t have found on my own. You could see how devoted he was in taking care of the plants. We need more people like him, or more places like this. It’s truly amazing that this place is free.

Google
Absolutely beautiful botanical garden In Miami Beach and it’s free. We enjoyed our visit. It’s very quiet and peaceful. Loved the Koi fish pond. All types of tree’s labeled with beautiful flowers also.

Google
Just had the most amazing time at the botanical garden! The place is absolutely stunning, with so many different plants and flowers. It's such a peaceful and relaxing spot to just sit and take in the beauty. The weather was perfect, and I got to spend hours wandering around. Definitely a must-visit for anyone who loves nature and plants!

Google
I love this beautiful botanical garden so much!! 😍 I visited during my vacation. It was peaceful and I enjoyed the butterfly 🦋 garden. It's free to the public and it's located directly across the street from the convention center.

Google
This is a free little gem in the middle of Miami Beach. Refreshing in every sense of the word. Note parking is a total B so driving here is not a good idea. It's small, but just a great place to have a natural retreat from the heat and shallow crazy if Miami Beach. Highly recommended!

Google
This is a small, beautiful, and well maintained public space. This is a great place to unwind and just relax. The whole family can enjoy time here. It's free admission, but donations are accepted. The crew here really makes good use of limited space. There's a koi pond to admire. There's open spaces for a picnic or for the kids to let loose. It was nice to see monarchs flying around here. There's something to explore around every corner. A lot of plants were in bloom when we visited. They are closed on Mondays and are open from 9 am to 5 pm the rest of the week. We spent an easy hour here. Even on a Sunday, it was not overcrowded. It was well worth the visit.

Google
Beautiful hidden garden in the city. One of the prettiest places I’ve visited with so much to see in such a pristine setting. Garden was well maintained and the plantings were amazing. Lots of people enjoying the flora and fauna but not crowded.

Yelp
What a great free thing to do in Miami Beach for plant lovers! Pros: It's free, convenient location, fun layout and great variety of plants
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for the first time to experience "Jazz in the Jungle" hosted by Miami Jazz Booking. The location itself is on the smaller side but it's a cute place to take a local date before going to dinner somewhere in the area. I parked across the street in the garage not realizing discounted parking didn't apply for events hosted after park hours (not specified on website or third parties page). The event took place at night and music started around 8:30pm. The drinks were decent and the snacks were okay, they were both fairly priced. Most people brought blankets and laid down, or sat in the provided chairs to listen to the bands. Overall this event had a laidback casual vibe.

Yelp
What a beautiful and quaint spot to enjoy the the flora of this tropical area. The space is wonderfully arranged for ease of walking along the paths; the enjoyment of the koi, turtles and plant life adding to the delightful experience. The botanical garden is easily accessible and conveniently located. The shade from trees make it a perfect respite from the sun and (when applicable) heat.

Yelp
Neat, small and well maintained, opposite from the Convention Center and a block away from City Hall. No earth shattering flowers and greens but is a good place to stroll. It has bathrooms and recreation rooms for kids. ... then a cigarette smoke brought me back to earth - a woman smokes there openly: not a hint of apology.
google avatar

Taneisha O.

Yelp
Loved it! Especially cool that you can feed the koi and turtles . It has been another destination of interest for botanic Gardens when traveling I absolutely love plants, flowers, and things of nature. This was a completely outside botanic Gardens, which makes sense because it's Miami given the temperature all year round. This place is very serene. You can come here to read a book. Take a nap. Do yoga have a picnic. Go on a cute little date. Take the kids literally good for all around visitation.

Yelp
What a lovely little oasis in Miami. It was a beautiful spot that is free to the public. What a treat. We enjoyed our time and there was a little gift shop and nice bathroom. The only slight issue was construction noise but nothing you can do about that.
google avatar

Andrew I.

Yelp
We were here for a wedding. It was set up very nice. First time coming to any Botanical Garden. It looked cool at night with all of the lights. Couldn't explore as much as I wanted to so i wouldn't mind coming back at some point.
google avatar

Yelp
As the website implies, the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens are small but mighty! I visited from the Northeast, and as a huge houseplant enthusiast it was a thrill to see so many common houseplants in their natural environment. Common plants like monstera, ZZ plant, inch plant, and more can be found here. The gardens also features tons and tons of orchids, which was a special treat. There's lots of other native wildlife as well. You can see koi fish and turtles, but there are also several types of butterflies and lizards. I loved hearing the scuffle of leaves and then finding a lizard sneaking around. It was a nice little treat to visit these botanical gardens!
google avatar

Brandy D.

Yelp
The garden was within walking distance from our hotel. There were a few entrances along the canal to get in. What a beautiful little garden! They had few water features, Japanese garden, little trails, restrooms and little boutique that sold few drinks and things. Dogs are allowed on lease, they accept donations and the best part, it's free!! You can also follow the canal path right out to the Holocaust Memorial which is also free and very touching.
google avatar

Lizette R.

Yelp
Perfect spot to retreat and enjoy some solitude. Free to enter. Small, short walk thru. A few spots to sit. A lot of lizards running. Cute little souvenir shop. Across the street from the convention center.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a relaxing getaway in the heart of Miami Beach. The free garden is 2.6 acres so pretty small, and you don't need that much time there but it's nice to stroll around for 10-30 minutes. I'd describe it as lush and relaxing with lots of greenery and butterflies. My favorite part is the Japanese Garden that is very shaded containing a red bridge, pond, lanterns, and bamboo trees. I think it's especially interesting for people from drier climates because the humidity gives it a totally different exotic vibe.
google avatar

Sarah P.

Yelp
This is the first time that I have ever visited. It is located very close to the Miami Convention center and also the Holocaust museum. It is quite well hidden. It is also free of charge to meander around. It is rather small and quaint. Worthy a stroll through.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
Beautiful gardens in Miami Beach. Across from the convention center. The gardens are a casual walk through several areas . It is also free. Parking is limited and the is limited street parking.

Yelp
Many glitzy Miami visits in one calendar year left me with the impression that South Beach wasn't really my vibe. But this last visit revealed an oasis in Miami Beach's own Botanical Garden, whose lush grounds were the host to my dear friend's wedding. The tropical foliage made for a beautiful backdrop on this special occasion. As the golden hour sun set, my friend walked gracefully down the aisle in her stunning white dress while her yoga teacher officiated a tear-filled ceremony. Against a vivid orange sky the whole event carried resonance, and I found myself overwhelmed with a surge of emotion along the rest of the crowd. Dinner was held under a grant tent on the grounds. Despite the characteristic Miami humidity, the evening breeze perfumed the party with floral notes from the garden. From epic sunset views to vibrant jungle vibes the botanical garden proved a verdant site for this lovely gathering. My gratitude to the newly married couple whose wedding introduced me to this gorgeous place.

Yelp
Came back to the Miami Beach Botanical Garden and it remains so beautiful and serene. It's a must visit. Admission is free! Can you believe it? Even more of a reason to visit. The staff here is so kind and friendly. You really are transported to another place that doesn't feel like the hustle and bustle of Miami. There's a cute gift shop to purchase a few things. I've also bought plants here which were a good deal! They have many events throughout the year which are always a fun time. I just love walking around and exploring the garden, ponds, fountains. Can't wait to come back again soon!
google avatar

Yelp
Miami is different from mainland Japan. The city is so humid and hot. How does Miami keep the Japanese gardens beautiful? The garden was located in the MIamin Botanical Garden. The admission was free. it was a bit far from downtown Miami Beach City. I saw a koi fish pond, Japanese style bridge, a Toro-Lantern, and others. Honestly, it was kind messy. The City of Miami Beach needs to clean the garden more. Miami is fundamentally disparate of Japan. It was not easy to make it look like Japan. At least, please clean the garden everyday!
google avatar

Enit S.

Yelp
These lovely gardens have been here in Miami Beach for YEARS, and I was so glad to see how beautiful they've been keeping it. A lot of people don't know that this attraction is free. You can support it by donating or buying some of their cute gift boutique shop. They sell things like fabric shopping totes, candles, body lotions, post cards, and cute handmade items. It's not very big, we were here for probably an hour and a half, and we took our time. Next door is the holocaust memorial, and it connects to the gardens. They have chairs, and tables for you to bring your breakfast or lunch and enjoy the beautiful scenery as you eat. This botanical garden is truly one of the best gems of Miami Beach.
google avatar

Yelp
This botanical garden is so beautiful it's always changing. It's perfect for the family or for some free time alone. There is plenty of parking around but there is a fee and it's cheap. Took the kids and enjoyed the day they enjoy the guided tours. Definitely will be back for some me time and family time. It's even nice to come and do some work.
google avatar

Mahsa T.

Yelp
You can walk the whole thing in 10 minutes. There's really not much to it. Saw no flowers or unique plants either. This should be renamed a park and not a botanical garden. It's a good thing it's free.
google avatar

Randy P.

Yelp
Very tranquil and relaxing place. Had coffee and contemplation on a morning in December.
google avatar

Leslie S.

Yelp
Pros: what a beautiful garden, it's great for a short leisure walk, you can also bring a picnic and immerse yourself in the beauty! It's free to get in when they don't have events. Cons: Limited street parking by the gardens, but there are two bear by parking garages.
google avatar

Melissa R.

Yelp
Perfect place to come if you want to walk around without any cost. It was a little confusing as there was a private event that the staff was in the middle of preparing for and some areas were blocked off. We were still able to see some beautiful Koi fish and the pond and a couple having a picnic in the gazebo. Wasn't many flowers at this time of year. We will be back after Spring to enjoy it more.
google avatar

Elita D.

Yelp
Beautiful garden! Not as big as I thought it would be but non the less it was an amazing experience. You can sit outside and relax or use their wifi and do some work on your laptop.
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
Fun to walk in and see butterflies. Great atmosphere. Beautiful outdoors. Bring a picnic.
google avatar

Mark M.

Yelp
This is an excellent place to spend a couple of hours at; so beautiful with the well maintained gardens and paths. The butterflies flying everywhere are fascinating, and there's park chairs to sit to take it all in. Staff are friendly, admission is only $5 a person. There's restrooms, a ballroom, and a store with refreshments.
google avatar

Wendy B.

Yelp
This was a hike for us but we are members for all of the gardens and it was a nice day for a drive. It is on the smaller side if you go to many botanical gardens but it was beautiful. They had lots of butterflies when we were here. They have plenty of areas to sit and they had a nice store as well. The guys in the front were super awesome and helpful. It's also right next to the Holocaust Memorial which turns out where we parked was right in the middle of the 2. I highly recommend walking next door to that when you're done. Great peaceful get away from the hustle and bustle of Miami.
google avatar

Chad P.

Yelp
This place is an oasis in the city. It's beautiful and entry is free! The only down side is it's kind of small and you can hear a lot of traffic noise at times... kind of ruins the get-away vibe. I would still recommend if you are within biking distance.

Yelp
A wonderful way to start my Sunday with serenity. This free, open to the public, well landscaped and kept garden is a nature gem. Visited to cross off my #Floridabucketlist and experience meditation sound bowl class. It's a self-guided walk discovering donor provided flora and fauna and grounding.

Yelp
I literally walk right into this place. As far as I can figure this place out. It has two entrances. The botanical garden is free and it's nice. From the outside the garden looks small but it is not. I did the trails and it was a nice enjoyable walk. The trails took me all over this place. The trails are all a little different. Is I first enter the garden I saw a map, which I did not look at very well lol. I followed a trail that lead me to a big Sea Grape tree. The trail took me around it. It was one beautiful big tree. So many plants all around. The garden has a nice area with wild flowers and butterflies. I am pretty sure it was a butterfly garden. So many beautiful butterflies flying around. There is a sitting area near. My favorite part of the trails was this red Asian style bridge and fountain. It was very peaceful there. It smelled really nice. The garden different little sections all smell good. Each one a little different. This place made my nose very happy. I saw a store and a place you could buy plants. The garden also has bathrooms. There is plenty of nice sitting area in the shade all around. It's a nice area to visit. The parking is public. You have to pay the meter. Street parking is all around. The place is located near the convention center. It's easy to find.

Emily S.

Yelp
Great place to walk around for an hour. Highly recommend stopping by the gift shop to buy a $1 bag of fish and turtle food. They are dog friendly as well!
google avatar

SamKat P.

Yelp
This is a beautiful little garden tucked away in an urban environment. While it is small, (only takes 30 minutes or so to walk around and see everything) it is packed with beautiful plants, orchids, and lots of butterflies! We came yesterday for the first time to listen to MISO play and had an amazing time. I don't know that I'd recommend going out of your way to visit....but if you're in the area, or can find other things in the area to do as well, then do stop and see it.
google avatar

Yelp
What's more romantic than a garden wedding in the spring? The Miami Beach Botanical Garden was the perfect venue for us (my *husband* and I--can't stop saying it!). We don't live in Miami anymore and booked this venue from only seeing photos and somewhat successful FaceTime call with Maurice--the Events Director Extraordinaire. He was so confident that our day would be so beautiful that we believed every word. We got married during Ultra Music Festival weekend and spring break but the location of the garden was almost secluded, and we were in our own fantasy world living out the fairytale dream. It was honestly the perfect day not only because of the setting but everything leading up captured everything we could've hoped for.
google avatar

Kyle H.

Yelp
In the heart of Miami, I enjoyed our visit immensely to this smaller Botanical Garden that still amazed with flora and fauna. Suggested $5 donation, good stuff to be had in the gift shop, too. Nice variety of botanicals, also learned a bit from the listening stations. Fairchild Botanical Gardens is still my favorite in Miami, but loved it here, too.
google avatar

Nona C.

Yelp
We've been to a number of Botanical Gardens across the country and this one does such a nice job displaying native plants and trees while incorporating plants from South America. While it's not huge, the downloadable tour made the experience more interesting and allowed us to move at our own pace.
google avatar

Leslie D.

Yelp
Awesome place to visit. The garden is small but well plotted and features a wide variety of native and endangered plants and trees. The garden features an optional self guided audio tour. One could easily breeze through the garden in under an hour or stay for several hours and enjoy the many hidden benches and water features throughout the park. At only $5 for admission, this place is a must-stop.
google avatar

Yelp
I have been to many gardens and parks in South Florida. There is so much beauty outside, its always worth going to see it. I try not to go in the summer months because the sun is extreme for me. But it's worth a visit if you go early in the day. Miami Beach botanical garden is not big in size but very peaceful and serene. There is some ponds, trees, plants, butterfly area within. I like the colorful chairs they have throughout the area to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. My friend raspberry and I enjoyed the gardens and also the gift shop. The gift shop has some really neat plants and mini souvenirs. It is free to go inside these gardens. They are walking distance from the Holocaust memorial in Miami. Side Note: There is a parking lot designated to the gardens and memorial. You can pay for parking through the app or cash in the machine near by. ~
google avatar

Cassandra V.

Yelp
This is a must experience for anyone who loves plants, nature, and calm! I've visited Miami so many times. This was my first time making it to the botanical garden. It was very peaceful. I loved seeing all of the various types of exotic plants. I even spotted turtles and butterflies. A fantastic stop to put on your list of things to do and see while in beautiful Miami!
google avatar

Rumit P.

Yelp
We really enjoyed the botanical gardens, and definitely recommend it for about an hour visit (at most). Easy to get to from the main South Beach area. There's a pretty koi garden and a coin-operated food dispenser. Lots of photo opportunities, lots to learn and see.
google avatar

Glenda I.

Yelp
Great place to visit since it's free and great calm area in the middle of a stressful city. They also have yoga classes, many sitting areas, and many of the trees are labeled.
google avatar

Iesha A.

Yelp
Can't go wrong visiting botanical gardens. This location is small in comparison to other botanical gardens, BUT they pack a lot of plants and ponds so eloquently. For its size you could easily spend a couple hours exploring and relaxing. Lots of seating areas tucked away in the trees-great for photo ops, taking in the scenery or just people/plant watching.
google avatar

Martha M.

Yelp
Beautiful garden. Take the time to listen to all the postings. Great way to spend a short afternoon and relax. Will definitely come back :) Don't forget to donate!
google avatar

Nic Z.

Yelp
it's free, so can't expect a whole lot. Nice place to visit, maybe even picnic vibes under some shade. Id come back

Yelp
Spectacular and free botanical garden with clear walking paths, lots of shady places to sit, exotic plants, tons of butterflies and a very informative and friendly staff. I can't take enough pictures here flowers, trees & all plants and gardens are meticulously groomed. The Japanese garden with the bridge, bamboo, red powder puff tree, and statues was magnificent. The native garden was filled with monarch butterflies and tropical milkweed. The gumbo limbo courtyard had an enormous tree, butterfly garden, and very exotic palms. The koi pond & Oolite fountain in the center was filled with fish and surrounded with exotic palms. The turtle pond on the side was filled with sunning turtles. We walked along the Bioswale admiring The poinsettias, rainbow eucalyptus, magnolia, Ashoka & Singapore frangipani. The edible garden was filled with pomegranates, figs, cherries, bananas, coconut palms ... A small group was practicing yoga on the Banyan lawn. The gift shop was fabulous with lots of interesting flowery gifts. They are open 9 to 5 Tuesday through Sunday, Suggested donation is five dollars, and the only rules are to stay on paths & not pick the plants. There was self guided audio stops marked along the path sharing ... information about the garden history, gardens, trees ... beautiful!!!
google avatar

Jenna M.

Yelp
Very cool place to walk around and enjoy the exotic flowers and plants. Being from the PNW, we were in Awe by the beauty all around. Oh, and BANANA TREES, what!?! The staff is very friendly and all about giving stories and showing you the property. So awesome to explore and see. Must check out- it's free, and gets you outside. Located in south Miami beach, next to the Holocaust Memorial and Convention center (?).
google avatar

Christina P.

Yelp
Nice place to come and relax. Open grass areas for a picnic and there's lounge chairs to chill in. In the sun it's hot, but in the shade it feels very nice. There's also a little cart to get slushees, alcohol available if you want it, as well as chips and other snacks. Lots of butterflies and pretty flowers. There is a pay to park parking lot which is $2 an hour.
google avatar

Wendy S.

Yelp
What a lovely unexpected oasis of peace around the convention center! We went early as it was going to be a hot day, and really enjoyed seeing all of the Botanical Garden. They have trees and plants from around the world that are identifies with small signs. And while we have seen many of them before (bananas, all types of palms, flowers, orchids, etc) we were really amazed at the Rainbow Eucalyptus tree. How cool!!! They also have a few ponds that had turtle and koi . We spent about an hour there and managed to see everything we wanted to see. They have plenty of seating throughout for relaxing, one person was reading, with butterflies fluttering around him. Just a peaceful place to rest and enjoy the coolness of the garden area. We would definitely come back and have a picnic!
google avatar

Shelley M.

Yelp
I visited during my birthday trip to Miami. By chance on Instagram, saw they were having an evening Earth Day festival. What a lovely, charming space filled with a variety of species of South Florida...and the butterflies! Everyone at the event seemed to know one another which gave me a sense of true community and the care put into this space. The Ruinart tasting was also a very nice touch to this event.

Yelp
I have always wanted to visit these gardens but I could never figure out the parking situation. The car congestion was made even worse because the auto show was going on at the Convention Center across the street. The streets all around the convention center were backed up with traffic. I finally found the parking lot on Meridian and 19th Street. Right now the street is so torn up that it looks like you can't drive on it. If you venture down you will see the lot on the left. Parking here also allows you to visit the holocaust memorial that is to the left of the gardens. The parking is not free but it is reasonable. You can either pay at the kiosk or through the phone app. The land the garden sits on was located on the historic Collins Canal which was dug by pioneer John Collins to transport mangoes and avocados. In the 1920's the garden was a golf course for one of Carl Fishers development properties. in 1962 a city park was then operated on the land but it was left to deteriorate. In 1996 a group of residents created the Miami Beach Garden Conservancy, a non-profit organization to restore the Garden. In 2011 the gardens received a million dollar renovation designed by Raymond Jungles. I just can't get over that someone named Jungles designs gardens. Today the garden is a place of beauty that hosts many functions throughout the year. Ghosts in the Garden, a free family Halloween event will be held on October 27. Other events can be found on the website. Once you go through the entry plaza the first part of the garden is the Bridal Veil Plaza with a bridal veil tree and a rainbow shower tree. The Japanese Garden has a red bridge over water lilies, statues, and tropical bamboo. The Native garden contain plants native to the area like coontie, cabbage palm and butterfly loving firebush. The Great lawn has colorful inviting chairs to sit on and there are colorful wildflowers everywhere. You can watch the colorful fish swim around in the koi pond. Some of the plants you will find here are triangle palm and acacia which has been used for health benefits. The Wetland garden has pond apple trees and red mangroves. Visit the turtles at turtle pond and see the ponytail and petticoat palms. The Gumbo Limbo Courtyard has a butterfly garden where I saw Monarch butterflies taking flight. It also has gumbo limbo, a Brazillian rain tree, and papyrus from which the Egyptians made paper. The Bioswale contains rainbow eucalyptus, royal palm, and gorgeous red royal poinciana. The Edible Garden has the plants you can eat like fig, caramboia also known as star fruit and the cacao tree from which chocolate is derived. The final part of the garden is the Banyan Lawn with sea grape and fishtail palms. As you travel through the garden you can take an audio tour through your phone at the different stops in the garden. Although small the garden is full of beautiful plants, sculptures, and pottery, There are many beautiful water features in the garden because architect Raymond Jungles said ""brings the sky into the garden, animates the space, reflects the landscape, and cools the areas directly around the buildings. Water magnifies the garden's sense of scale." There is even a small shop selling plants and unique garden items. I loved my visit to the botanical gardens. Like many places I visited in Miami parking is a pain but the garden is free. It is a true oasis in urban Miami.
