This is definitely one of my favorite chocolate stores and a hidden gem in Surfside. The chocolates are carefully handcrafted to meet excellent standards. I have several favorites and the large selection of dark chocolate and lactose free makes this place all the worthwhile.I recently tried the Dubai chocolate and it is by far one of the best and exquisitely superb in comparison to others I have tried. Finally one of the best perks is the great service that is consistently and always provided by Eli.

BEST CHOCOLATE EVER! Me and my sister came down to Miami to celebrate my birthday but ended up finding the best chocolate covered strawberries. Very fresh! The place was decorated nicely and clean. The person who worked there was super nice to me and my sister. 10/10. Can’t wait to come back

Super delicious, chocolates were pretty and owner was helpful and responsive. Called with a larger last minute order for a meeting and couldn’t be happier with the service (and taste). Packaging was lovely too.

Had a wonderful time on a factory tour field trip here. The staff taught the kids all about the process and different types of chocolate and allowed the kids to make their own creations hands on. Seems like a great place to host a birthday party.

Received these chocolate platter wrapped in clear paper as a gift for the holidays, the presentation was gorgeous didint want to even open it, they had chocolate with nuts, dark chocolate even with sprinkles the designs on top of the chocoates where so nice, this is a piece of artwork is so classy would définitly buy for friends when i am invited to their homes. they custom make the baskets for your special needs, they have dark and milk chocolate to these chocolates where parve and kosher

Someone gifted me with a box of these truffles recently and i was instantly addicted. Utterly delicious. Probably a good thing i don't live near there, but definitely looking forward to my next opportunity to try these.

I absolutely love their specialty chocolate truffles sold here. I needed a quick birthday gift and luckily found a spot right in front as I pulled in to grab a nice box of some special dark chocolate truffles for a dear friend. There's a reason these folks have been in business for this long and it's easy to see why. They don't cut corners on quality and the taste is evident. Not only are they warm and friendly, but they sell some of the most delicious chocolates in Miami making these pricey treats a must do on your time in Miami Beach. I usually get a variety of dark chocolate truffles and have tried most of their flavors and can't decide on which one is my favorite. Their baskets make lovely and delicious gifts for any occasion. Aside from chocolates, they also serve ice cream which is always a good idea to beat the heat on our hot and humid climate.

Great, friendly local business convenient to Miami Beach! We stumbled across this little shop while walking back to our hotel after lunch. Like, how can you not stop at a place called "Chocolates." Upon entering, we were greeted immediately by two guys and I'm kicking myself now for not remembering their names but they were super helpful. Offered us samples of literally anything we wanted to try. Weren't pushy at all. The shop itself is absolute chocolate heaven. Very cute. Also every flavor you can think of for those small little chocolate things you get in a box. They'll also ship it anywhere you want! We ended up purchasing way too much but definitely didn't regret anything we got. Would definitely recommend to anyone who's a chocolate lover or knows someone who is!

went to visit this shop while on a girls trip. I must say, I unFlorida. now what the hype is all about!!!! seriously the best chocolate every tasted and the chocolate covered strawberries are out of this world!! To top it off, the boss was the sweetest,friendliest guy.. would recommend on your visit to Miami florida.

This is the best in house made chocolate shop on earth! And I've been to shop in Europe! They hand make the most unique chocolate designs.

The chocolates are really good and if you purchase them by the pound, they are very affordable. They also have ice creams and vegan ice creams. My mom had the mango and I had the vegan chocolate. Both were fantastic. The reason I took off one star is because after reading all the fabulous reviews I thought we would be received with happy faces and tastings of chocolate. Instead it was a grumpy old man and had to ask for a sample, and he didn't look very happy about giving it to me. But I will be back for the chocolate. Maybe next time I'll have a friendlier person helping me out :)

We wandered into this chocolate shop unaware I was about to taste a chocolate that would haunt me for days! Made on premises, kosher and the proprietor like a favorite uncle, Eli gave me a sample coffee truffle. Being a deeply devoted lover of chocolate, I have had my fair share, but this piece of heaven stopped me from moving or speaking while my taste buds savored the pure chocolate goodness. It had the snap, the velvety, the decadent richness that inspires love and passion! It may seem a big reaction to a chocolate, but this shop is worthy of ballads and song! The atmosphere is a cozy brick space filled with the smells and sights to delight. And, obviously made and served with love and pride!

THEIR DELIVERY OPTION IS A SCAM!!!!! I don't normally write many yelp reviews, but these guys really looked to swindle me and were dishonest with 2 other companies in the process. First, I looked to order $45 worth of chocolate for my father for his birthday and have it delivered to his apartment 3 blocks away. I went on their website and saw a $15 delivery fee. Thinking the fee was a bit much, I saw they are on Seamless. So, I placed the order there instead. Shortly after placing the order, the store canceled. They told Seamless "their car was broken". Seamless was great and gave a $5 customer credit for my trouble, but couldn't do anything else. Next, I tried to solve the problem by using Uber Eats (where they also advertise), since Uber Eats uses their own cars. I placed the same exact order and again the store cancelled!! This time they changed their story and told Uber Eats they were out of the type of chocolate I ordered. I could have tired to call them on the last bluff by changed my order through Uber Eats, but was so disgusted with them refusing my business multiple times to force me to order through their website for an additional $15 I decided not to ever give them any of my business ever again. Which is something I'm loathe to do for a kosher restaurant, as I really try to support each and every one. TLDR: they will only deliver to you if you order through their site for a $15 fee, even though they advertise on cheaper options. And they made it very difficult to send my father a birthday present this year in the process. Beware.

Cute chocolate shop with decadent chocolates and excellent gelato. In addition to A broad selection of standard chocolates there is a huge vegan chocolate and kosher chocolate selection. Fantastic place to buy for folks with dietary restrictions. Gelato flavors are also available in standard and dairy free. The customer service was excellent, definitely will be going back.

Excellent. Friendly. Has chocolate. Has a nice sitting area outside. Has gelato. Has Milk shakes. I'm not sure I can add any more than that. I stopped here almost every night with my tired kids. They loved the chocolate covered cherries. If you are near by stop by. I thought the prices were reasonable and that the quality was great.

I came to buy a souvenir of my friend. It is not far from South Beach. There are many kinds of chocolate. Shop staff were also good people. I recommend this shop if you need a souvenir.

My wife and I just stopped in out of curiosity and we were not disappointed! The service is phenomenal, the Gelato is delicious and the chocolates were amazing. The people are all so sweet (No pun intended). Definitely try this place out.

I stopped here for a friend with a serious sweet tooth. They serve a wide variety of dark, milk and white chocolate. Most types come in all the bases. I bought the large box and the staff worker was very friendly and patient while I chose. The person whom I bought it for was very pleased.

Best chocolate I've ever tasted and super friendly service! They carry a large selection of dairy and non-dairy chocolates as well as many holiday themed pieces. The choice of packaging makes it an ideal gift. Throw-in a piece that has the store name stamped on it and it makes an excellent souvenir gift.

After a nice dinner, finace and I spotted this chocolate shop. I'm such a sucker that I had to at least go in and look. The staff are very friendly and offered us free samples after we said it was our first time in the store. There are LOTS of choices, so it took me a while to make a decision. Luckily, they were all patient while I was thinking. The only negative comment I really have is that we kept being reminded that they ship everywhere. That's a great convenience, but it was definitely a way to try to pressure me into buying more than what I wanted. The chocolate pieces are of great quality. I enjoyed the free samples so much that I decided to buy a bunch of chocolates as gifts since we went around the holidays. As far as I know, all the recipients enjoyed it just as much also.

This place is delicious! Alejandra helped me immensely with my selection for Valentine's and was patient enough to explain to me the prices. The owner whose name I'm ashamed I don't know but deserves a special mention as well asked me several times if I had been helped and even offered to help with my selection (I over heard him speaking with another customer about how he wanted to be sure his wife world like the chocolates when asking what he thought she wanted a small but important detail). The owners and the employees do their best to make sure you are satisfied thus the five stars. Did I mention the chocolate is absolutely delicious?

Very cute place that offers outdoor seating and amazing chocolate! You'll have a pleasant time if you decide to sit outside. A nice place to have an ice cream or milk shake too! They sell both dairy and non-dairy, or vegan, ice cream. Non-dairy assortment includes peanut butter, chocolate, and two other flavors. I do wish, however, that they sold fruit smoothies. This would be a great option for someone who wants a frozen treat but doesn't want ice cream. Great array of chocolates. Be sure to try the salty milk chocolate and Oreo covered. The store's chocolate pretzels look great and they have a great assortment. The staff I spoke to helped me pick something for my elderly aunt. They weren't pushy and tried hard to please despite the fact that I wanted to spend $10-15.

Cute store, delicious chocolates, friendly people. We were trying to think of what to bring back to friends from Miami, and after striking out at all the terrible souvenir shops we can across Miami Beach Chocolates. After a few free samples we were sold and had to select a bunch to bring back home. Gorgeous and delicious chocolates in a neat little store.

Love the chocolate here!! I was at a function several years ago and received a beautiful gift basket of their chocolates. The holidays were approaching and I thought I would hold on to it for a couple weeks and give it as a present for a party I was attending. I also wanted to taste the chocolate. I snuck one out of the basket. There were so many chocolates, it wouldn't be missed. Snuck another, and yet another, and well.. needless to say, that basket never made it out of my house. Now when I need to get a present and I want to bring chocolates, I drive a half hour to this place to get their chocolates. Need I say more.

This is a new place. They have almost any chocolate candy, desserts, and drinks (no dairy, too). They also let me sample a piece. The sugar is delicious too.

I was visiting Florida recently from Los Angeles and happened to pop into this chocolate store. It is terrific. I bought several chocolates for myself and to take back home intending to eat them upon my return the next day, but I couldn't help myself and had to indulge that day, their product was so lovely!

This is a great little gem that I never would've found if it weren't for my fellow Yelpers. I am crazy for chocolate, but it must be good chocolate, and Schakolad has got the goods! The chocolate is delicious and comes in all varieties--dark, milk, white, pareve, etc. The family that owns the place is very friendly, helpful, and patient, and everyone seems passionate about what they do and confident in their product. It has such a great hometown feel that you often miss in a big city like Miami. The prices are very reasonable and everything is yummy. There are flavors and fillings galore, certainly something to fit all tastes. The only down side is that since Miami is so hot, you'll have to eat it all at once if you're walking rather than driving. Welp, guess that means I've gotta down ten pieces of chocolate in 5 minutes. What a shame that would be, but I'll make the sacrifice ;). The caramel here is delicious! I make caramels and other candies at home all the time, and I would never call any commercial caramel out their on the supermarket and convenience store shelves good, but this stuff has that buttery, rich, creamy flavor that caramel should have. I most definitely approve! I don't remember the names of things, but the almond crunch candy was deeelish, as was the chocolate-covered caramel and one of the coconut candies. Basically, I can't remember what on earth I had now, since it has been a while, but it was all sooooo good, and I remember enough that my mouth is already watering, so stop reading and just go! You'll thank me later :).

WOW This place will blow you away This is the kind of chocolate you can only find in Switzerland. As a fanatic of the delicious chocolate I asked the lady to try almost everything in the store, It was pure heaven! If you ever want good stuff , that is the place to go!!!!!

What a charming (and delicious) place. The owner helped us handpick the best of the bunch for a meaningful party. Might I recommend the hazelnut truffle, chocolate covered Oreo, and the chocolate turtle. If you're not sure about what you're feeling, they're generous with their sample offerings. Their dairy chocolate is sweet, creamy, and makes for a great gift. They offer a great selection of both parve and dairy options, not to mention a few kosher wines and delicious chocolate chip cookies. Between the delectable chocolates and friendly owner/staff, I couldn't recommend this place more!

I stopped in here after my mani/pedi next door at Something Perfect and was in pure heavenly bliss upon arrival. It smells like HEAVEN on earth. The owner was SOOO sweet and gracious. I told him it was my first time and he gave me a few tastings which really impressed me as other chocolatiers don't have that same complimentary policy. The chocolate was EXQUISITE. They used whole nuts (pistachio, almond, peanut) in their chocolate which very few places do. It's typically slithered or crushed. The little chocolate piece had 5 pieces of whole pistachio nuts. It was delectable. Coming from DC where the avg gourmet chocolate is $2.25 a piece, I was highly impressed with their reasonable pricing .90 - $1.05 per piece. I wish I lived in Miami so I could frequent more often. Alas, they do ship nationwide. I highly recommend if you're a local or tourist. You won't be disappointed.

Hands down! Definitely the best chocolate place I have ever been. The place is clean and you can smell the chocolate the moment you step in. I love the variety of flavors and combinations in their chocolate. The owner gave us complimentary chocolate for our first visit. Is not your regular chocolate place. You will find dark chocolate, amaretto chocolate, chocolate with peanuts, chocolate with all kinds of chocolate.

Ever had such an amazing experience that you just HAVE to tell someone? And so this review is born... From the moment I walked in the door I received the best customer service that made it all the more pleasure to shop. The owner immediately knew I was new to his store and gave me a presentation of his products and variety... gave me a sample which of course was delicious. While the store began to get full of customers, he never once broke our flow of communication and dedicated his full undivided attention in helping me figure out a gift. He was such a pleasure, I vow to become a long time customer here on out. Keep up the great service! Very much enjoyed my experience.

This is a really good chocolatier off of 41st street tucked in right next to House of Dog. The owner was very friendly, and offered us free samples. The white chocolate butterscotch truffle will make your taste buds dance. It was so incredibly delicious. We got four pieces of chocolates for only $4.00. For authentic house made chocolates, that's a good deal, and the chocolate here is worth it. I highly recommend anyone to give them a try.

Amazing! The chocolate is so velvety it barely made it to my mouth! (In a good way) there were so many different kinds... From raisins, cherries, hazelnut to Jamaican rum! Definitely worth every penny!

Great neighborhood chocolate store. A real Mom and Pop place with home made individual filled chocolate flavors ! I ordered two scoops of Gelato which were creamy and sweet. New favorite spot to get a piece of chocolate after dinner or a special gift basket for someone!

Visited Schakolad yesterday for a chocolate/wine tasting event. I was pleasantly surprised! They gave us a generous tasting of all (about 6) of their imported wines (from Argentina) that are available for purchase and they also gave us about 6 samples of their chocolates. Their wines were okay; nothing out of this world. But their chocolate! That's a different story. Amazing! Decadent. Tasted fresh, rich, and unique. Their dairy-free chocolate was the best and it really caught my attention. My pallet definitely thanked me for this visit. I recommend this cute little shop for your sweet tooth craving!

We stumbled upon this place on our trip to Miami and are so happy for it! First, and foremost, the chocolate is absolutely incredible. It's homemade and truly decadent. The coffee was fantastic and the service was so warm and friendly. Eli was particularly hospitable to us, and we are so grateful to him for it! Cannot recommend the place enough, and look forward to coming here next time we are in town!

My choco-holic girlfriend discovered this place on her cab ride to our hotel in miami beach. Said chocoholic friend didn't realize it was Jewish owned and we trekked it on a Shabbos. -_-. luckily, our flight wasn't until Sunday afternoon & squeezed in a quick visit. What was initially an intrigue for a piece of chocolate & coffee stop turned into a full blown chocolate tasting/picking out every single dairy piece of chocolate. Chocoholic friend bought us at least a 1/2 lb of chocolate to take home!! The lady that owned the business was very sweet to us & shared some basic kashrut knowledge with my buddies. The chocolate was smooth, not too sweet & little bits of heaven. +1 because my in laws really enjoyed the chocolate bits! Fun fact: they ship outside of Miami!

They made me the hit of the party! I stopped in looking for a host / hostess gift for a party I was going to. They offered to let me sample what I was interested in and then put together an attractive and tasty box of delectable chocolates. When I presented the box to the host, I heard "ohs" and "ahs" ... .. and heard even more when they began to sample the box contents. I bought several flavors, don't remember which ones, but they were all tasty and delicious. Will definitely be back. The service is great and the chocolates are high quality. Thanks for making me the hit of the party!

Excellent vegan options! Customer service is also great!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone. They offer delivery options as well. My wife and I drove all the way from Broward to try these awesome desserts. Presentation is also amazing.

Beautiful shop. The chocolates are really good. They have intense flavors and all of them are handmade right there the same day you go there. They have all kinds of flavors. They also have gelato. The gelato is also really great. It smells like heaven in there! A little pricey but the quality is great and it's worth it.
