Very nice center with lots of space. It's really clean and has two cafes plus a full bar so there's always something to eat or drink nearby. The facility it maintained really well and it's very clean. We went for an international plant expo and we had a lot of fun. Parking was $10 and you didn't have to walk far at all from the lot to the entrance.

We visited the Miami Fair Expo with our family for Jurassic Quest and had a great experience. The venue is very large, and what impressed us most was the excellent organization. Even with plenty of cars and visitors, we never faced long waits, not in parking, at the entrance, or inside for rides. There are plenty of snack options and large, clean restrooms, which made the afternoon even more enjoyable. A well-run place for family events.

Negative review is about specifically Jurassic Park Quest, not expo itself. I spent 40 min in the parking entrance lane for nothing, it doesn’t worth 150$ I spent for the family of 4.

Bought tickets for my family for their Christmas event and honestly yea it's nice but you're ultimately paying an entrance fee not an experience. Unless you're there to take pictures and even that isn't worth it they're a bunch of cheaper and free places to take pictures next to lights. Other than that they treat you to a little train ride that they make sound a lot longer and better than what it is. Everything else is there for an extra cost, the jump house, the ice skating, feeding the animals and the horse ride those are all their activities besides the train and in order to participate you have to pay for each thing separately. I think it's misleading, they made it sound like they had a lot more attractions and that those specific things were extra but when that's all you have your paying Museum rates to look at lights. It would've sat better for me had they charged more for the tickets and included within that price at the least, the jump house or one free cup of food for the animals. It was kind of disappointing and you guys need to either build temporary pergolas or tie plastic rain covers roof to roof bc this is Florida and it rains constantly.

I hate this park. Every time that I call it they never respond. You guys should be working. I was going to give it 0 but it make me give u guys 1 unfortunately. And I don’t know why but the soccer park is closed basically every day, weekdays and weekends. I don’t care if it’s a private or public area. It should be open at least 2 times a week or on Saturday’s at least. I will always hate this park until they fix this.

We go to the fair every year as a family, and it never disappoints! It’s a tradition we all look forward to. The rides, the food, the games, and the overall atmosphere are always amazing. There’s something fun for everyone, kids and adults alike. Great memories every time☺️☺️☺️

We had so much fun! There’s so many rides and games and it’s perfect for a family weekend plan. Also there is great food options. It’s very clean and organized. Will definitely be back

This was frickin awesome! I had so much fun. That Mach 3 ride that spins you up in the sky and down to the ground so fast… that was the best one 😝the best part is that there are so many rides here and even multiple of the same ones so the lines weren’t long. I’d recommend to go on a weekday during the daytime, and the $25 fast pass is worth it

It's fine. If you're bringing kids, they'll have fun (kids don't notice how much you're spending). But if you're chasing childhood memories, brace yourself -- the Youth Fair today feels more like adult debt than youthful joy. The Miami-Dade County Youth Fair... I mean, it's a fair. You know the drill: overpriced rides that spin you until you regret the funnel cake, games where the only thing you win is shame, and food that costs more than your first car payment. Add in traffic that moves slower than a sloth on vacation, and parking that makes you question every life choice that led you here, and voilà -- you've got the Youth Fair experience. History-wise, this isn't just any carnival. The Youth Fair started back in 1952 as a showcase for Miami's kids, schools, and agriculture -- kind of a wholesome mix of livestock competitions, art projects, and corndogs. Over the decades, it grew into one of the largest fairs in the country, drawing close to 600,000 visitors a year. Back then, going to the fair as a kid was magic. Funnel cakes bigger than your head, neon lights that made you feel like you were at Disney for cheap, and the haunted house that seemed scarier than it probably was. But now? It's not what it used to be. Nostalgia doesn't cover the fact that ticket prices keep creeping up, rides feel like they've been on the same bolts since the Nixon administration, and traffic getting in and out is its own ride -- "Escape from Tamiami." You pay a fortune for admission, more for food, and somehow end up wondering if you just spent $100 to walk in circles with turkey legs and cotton candy.

Jurassic Quest, or the interactive dinosaur expo, ran for August 22nd-24th 2025. Tickets started at 28.67. Once inside you can stay as long as you want. There were a variety of activities for young children, such as fossil excavation, miniature golf, animated, moving dinosaurs, arts and crafts, a bounce house, and the list goes on. There was an area to buy souvenirs and another to purchase food such as popcorn, empanadas, hot dogs, hamburgers etc. It was pretty crowded and there were often lines to eat, ride a dinosaur, and take pictures with eggs.

The International Orchid Festival was held here in January and wow! Impressive how organized parking is, how spacious it is inside the expo center & just overall a great experience. I look forward to returning for the Rare Plant Festival in April!

Today Paul and I purchased tickets to the Orchid Festival along with some members of the Valencia Sound Orchid Club and spent a nice day at the Festival. Honestly I felt like it was just a market for orchids. There were tons of vendors selling their plants. I thought there was going to be demonstrations and classes on how to take care of them but I never saw that after walking around for hours. The parking was great costing $5 and we were feasible to get a handicapped spot. Bathrooms were clean and they did have a food concession which we didn't use. It was very crowded. The orchids were beautiful, and of course I purchased a couple with fertilizer and insecticide. I am hoping for the best.

You make the Youth Fair a 5-star experience by coming out with friends! Besides the rides, I remember having to submit a project for exhibition here as essentially the midterm exam for my drafting class (#humblebrag I won first prize all 4 years). I also remember coming here as a school field trip, and my favorite ride back then was the Gravitron. Yes, they still have the student exhibits, and the hall has a farmers market / swap meet vibe with crafty stuff for sale. They still have the grafitti tshirts from the 90's I remember. The animal exhibits - especially the racing piggies - were fun to see. The announcer for that exhibit was hilarious! Fast forward to this year, and I attended with my usual group. We came to a consensus on not doing the rides but rather to enjoy the (not necessarily Michelin rated) bites. We sampled & enjoyed pretty much every dish with my favorites being the steak on stick with tostones (definitely add the lime), and believe it or not , the basic meat lovers pizza. For dessert, you have to have the classic Elephants Ears!

I visited the last day of the fair and I must say that I had a wonderful time with the family. For it being the last day it was not overcrowded and the grandkids never had to wait in long lines. The food was expensive as expected and not good at all horrible overcooked, undercooked everything bad. They had a kiddyland area that was perfect for the kids and they had plenty of rides for under 8 yr olds. they also had a sensory area for Autistic children which I found to be excellent as well as the ride operators had a great attitude with the kids. They had many rides and game areas which made it so fun. no fuss from the staff when it came to getting on rides with the Kids and not having a band. Overall we had an awesome time but were highly disappointed with the "fair food".That is what I look forward to the most when attending the fairs or parks.

Who doesn't love the fair? Elephant ears, candied apples, Turkey leg, funnel cake, corn dogs, whatcha want? Decided to go on the last night, glad we did. Went in the Fun House, rode the Ferris Wheel, had a blast. All the rides are here: Tilt-a-Whirl, Scrambler, Himalaya, Zipper, Zero Gravity, Bumper Cars Petted the llamas, pigs, goats, cows, bunnies. The Youth Fair is so big, they have rides repeated. Go, but ya gotta Wait till next year !

I had not been to the fair in over 10 years! I found that it has not changed much. We went on $5 day and it was not as crowded as we thought. It was worth the entrance price. There were also a lot of $5 food deals, some worth it, like pizza, others not at all. The food is very expensive. There were a lot more choices now than the last time I went. We tried the chicken pita and it was pretty good. One of the healthiest options. Of course we had an elephant ear, honestly not as good as I remembered it being. They do have a good deal on drinks in a souvenir cup and then discounted refills. The lemonade was great! The rides didn't have really long lines. Overall a fun time!

It's an annual tradition to come to the fair! This year we came on opening day which was really nice. A lot less people and they had a whole celebration going on with a Junkanoo band and bands/dancers from schools. Really nice. The food this year is absolutely delicious. They added some new items on the menu which is always fun. We had a few of the new items and they were delicious! Check out the pics. Parking is free, so no need to worry about that. They do offer a few days with entrances for $5. Check it out online. Also you can download their app which helps map out the food stands!

The Miami-Dade County Fair and Expo is always a blast. We have a family tradition of going every year to enjoy the food and the younger crew enjoys the rides. So much to eat - corn dogs, cotton candy, candy apples, elephant ears, cinnamon buns, mini donuts, pizza, Italian sausages, shish kabobs, popcorn, fresh squeezed lemonade and so very much more. The rides are a blast too! Go early to avoid the late crowds and the kids get a chance to ride on everything they want because the lines are not too long. See you again next year at the fair!

Fun time. Best part of the experience had to be the funnel cake. Lines weren't too crazy went on a Wednesday when it was only five dollar admission worst part of the experience were the cocktails. 3/10. I've had better mixes at the gas station.

Came in the last day of the fair and I must say that I had a great time with the kiddos. For being the last day it was not crowded and the kids never had to make long lines. Food was expensive as expected however EVERYTHING we had tasted terrible. The kiddyland area was perfect for the little ones and they had plenty of rides for under 8 yr olds. The adults rides were sus lol so we didn't ride any. Overall we had a great time but highly disappointed on the "fair food".

Last Sunday, we went to the Youth Fair with friends & family because we hadn't been since before Covid. It was a lot of fun and reminded us of younger days there. There were so many booths that we stopped at. The food booths were the best: elephant ears, corn on the cob, fudge, smoothies, coffee, tacos, pizzas, Mexican Street Corn, delicious banana pudding, wings, corn dogs, burgers and much more. We went on a bunch of rides and screamed with the best of them! Amazingly, we didn't get dizzy or sick. We didn't want the hassle of parking out in the left field, so we Ubered. Great fun! We will try to go again next year.

We went last night. Wow, wow, wow. We had such fun. Can't state highly enough. Staff were friendly. Loads of rides, a HUGE event. we had an absolute blast.

I haven't been here in years! I love the fair. It has gotten super expensive over the years. Lots of walking and standing so wear comfortable shoes. This year I didn't get on no rides. I was just here for the food. Definitely a good place to come and have fun.

Absolutely always love coming here since I was a kid! They step up the food game every year and their guayaba pizza was absolutely delicious! Love the rides and their efficiency with the bracelet lines this year!

Just went to the youth fair. We had beautiful weather and the park was not overly Crowded for a Sunday. The food was good. Corn dogs, donuts, elephant ears, funnel cakes, corn, ice cream, cotton candy, candy apples, rides, circus, and more. It was great to see. Only reason to lose one star, the park needs more hand sanitizer and washing stations throughout. What a difference a Little time has made since Covid. Last year the park was very stocked everywhere you turned with sanitizing stations, hand washing stations, etc. today, we saw just 2 throughout the entire park. One being the entrance of the circus. Overall though, it was a nice.

Excellent organization, and enough parking was an especial Sunday different than others. Excelente organization y suficiente parqueo fue un domingo especial y diferente a otros.

The funk fest concert was great! Jezzy and Mary did a great job. The concert starts at 4pm and doors open at two. I got there at 6pm. The weather was nice but it did get humid when I started dancing. I left with my hair wet wet. Like I had just washed it. Wouldn't advise curling your hair unless your gone sit down all night. Paid for premium parking online with tickets to show but when I got there was told there is no premium parking on dec 30 2022. They also have limited handicap parking that was all gone as well. We will see tonight when I return if I get premium parking for the 2nd day. The power went out on the stage for about an 1hour to 1hour 30 minutes. Just before Jezzy performance. Love the slushes, food and top shelf drinks. I would advise to pay for general admission ticket bring your own lawn chair and chill. You will still have amazing time for $99 for two days. Be advised the paid seating was hard fold down lawn chairs. If you want to spend hundreds on it be my guest.

Great for kids! Lots to do! Lots of food and rides for all age groups ... Going on a weekend might be a bit overwhelming, weekdays are better!

The Fair! Be There! I've been going to The Fair since I was very, very little. Some of my oldest memories are from fun days at The Fair with my family. In fact, I have not missed a single year of it since my early years. It's a fun time and a must-do in Miami! I think the entrance prices have remained decent over the years. They have lots of deals for ticket prices: select days have a deal for $5 entrance, there's a day where it's free for FIU students & employees, half off on all weekdays if you enter before 6pm, and lots of deals for students, military, and Miami-Dade County employees; check the website under "deals & discounts" to see them all. We usually go on one of the $5 days. Keep in mind that if you go on one of these days, it will be very busy! You may have to wait in a little bit of traffic to park. Bonus is that regular parking is free, and there is additional designated free Fair parking at FIU (make sure to park only where it is allowed, signs will lead you there). There is a complimentary tram within the Tamiami parking on busy days. There is so much to do, see, and eat at the Fair. You could spend hours upon hours here. This year (2023), I was particularly impressed by the amount of entertainment. They have continued with the traditions of the ice skating show, the pig races, the petting zoo, the circus, the rodeo etc., but they also added several stages all around the park where musicians are playing music. One band in particular, at the stage at the end of Kiddie Land, was absolutely amazing! They also had a DJ playing in the globe at the entrance, and he was really good! Oh and when we first arrived, there was a wonderful mariachi band playing near the entrance. Very nice touches! There are endless rides and food options. I usually skip out on the rides lately, but they look like a fun time! I remember going on so many of them as a child. You do have to pay for rides, but there are many options on purchasing tickets or an unlimited day pass. I believe this year, the unlimited pass is $30-$35 depending on when and where you purchased (check website for more info). I find that if you go on a busy day, the food is amazing. It's super fresh and delicious. In prior years, we've gone on slow days and the food was mediocre/not particularly fresh; we actually prefer to deal with the crowds because it means better food! This time around, we had corn on the cob, wings, fries, pizza, pork kabobs, elephant ears, and deep-fried oreos. All of it was SO GOOD! The inside section has lots of artwork by our local students. Make sure to check it out! See the circus, watch the ice skating show, pet the cute animals, ride the rides, eat the food, and have a great time!!

Took my daughter here for some Sunday night fun because it has been gone for so long. It brought back memories of when I used to go here with family and friends as a teenager. I couldn't wait to get inside and get a corn dog, the lemonade and a funnel cake. My daughter was so excited to eat the ice cream and I was happy for her to finally partake in some of the rides. We purchased the ride tickets which are $1 per ticket, but you can buy an all access pass as well. My daughter is 3, so we didn't need the pass. I love that they have the kids rides all in one place so you don't have to travel far for your kids to have fun. We rode some rides with her, ate Turkey legs, chicken wings and fries and Ice cream.

This year's Miami Youth Fair was such a blast! The retro theme brought all the nostalgic vibes, and the new food lineup was chef's kiss. We tried the Dubai chocolate strawberries,'Café Colada elephant ears, and the butter chicken curry tacos. They were totally unique and surprisingly amazing!

WOW!!!!!!!! Let me say it again. WOW!!!! This was the BEST FAIR, MY WIFE, AND I HAVE EVER GONE TO!!!! Not only was the food incredible, but the rides were great, too. About the food, my family enjoyed Mexican Corn for the first time from the vendor across from the bumper cars. In the corner, by the log water ride and the large ferris wheel, we had Cuban sandwiches on funnel cakes with guava jelly on top. We also had a couple of gyros from the gyro place close to the same location, and we also had strawberry cheese cake on funnel cake for dessert from the same place we bought the Cuban sandwich from. As we were leaving, we bought a deep-fried Snickers bar and deep-fried oreos. It doesn't get better than these treats!!!! The Cuban sandwich was really something we will never forget. They sell better Cuban sandwiches in Little Havana but the funnel cakes 5 twist made it an epic sandwich. It's a must try if you go to the fair. The rides - Most fairs my family has been to have a few little dinky rides that were out of date and boring even for 7 year olds. The size of this fair blew our minds. The walk around the fair will cover two days of Cardio exercising. My high school and college age sons loved the place. We bought the unlimited ride pass, and they rode all night without worrying about buying more tickets. They haven't had this much fun on rides in years. It was really fun to watch them run to give a report to my wife and I about how much fun a ride was and that they were going to ride it again. It's too bad we ran out of time and they were closing for the night. They could have ridden the rides all night. There is a Wild Mouse roller coaster that will jar your entire body into a chiropractors office, but it's great for the younger ones with bodies made of rubber. They sell pictures of the riders for a few dollars to capture the moment. I was able to relive a highlight of my youth and took a ride on a swing ride. I hadn't been on a ride like this since Hersey Park in Pennsylvania around 45 years ago. It was another highlight of the night. This fair has something for everyone of all ages. If we were spending more days in Miami, we would have gone here another night. It was an incredible place. I honestly liked it better than the Orlando parks because you didn't have the hour long waits. It's old-fashioned fun with incredible food and rides. There are duplicate rides of the most popular ones, which keep the lines smaller. For the price, this fair can not be beat. I wish this fair would come to the Jacksonville area so my family can experience it again. It was really THE BEST FAIR WE HAVE EVER GONE TO!!!!!!!! If you are in Miami while the fair is there, do yourself and your family a favor and go to this fair with an empty stomach. If you live in Miami, go a few times so you get to experience all the things we missed because we didn't have enough time.

Hello how can you not like this location? It's been the host of many exciting events for many years and it's the home of the Dade County Youth Fair! I recently attended the FunkFest Concert there on New Years and I have no complaints. One of the few Miami staples left.

A good limited time event to have something to do with family, friends and even on a date. Note when not getting on any rides completing the walk of the whole park is between 2.5 to 3 miles. Also many food items have gone up its pretty price. Expect to pay any food item above $5. Also the fair ground no longer have individual tickets, you'll have to buy and $35 per person arm band that works like an unlimited ride pass. Eventhough the entry fee is $14 is reasonable you'll be paying alot more if you want to ride and eat/drink.

This was my first time every visiting the Miami Fairgrounds and what an amazing experience! I was shocked at how large the space was! All of the fairs that I have been to in the past have been a lot of fun but none of them even compared to how much fun this one was. Upon arriving we got in line to get wristbands for unlimited rides (highly highly suggest) where we quickly were helped and were right on our way. Right when you walk in there are food vendors everywhere and thank goodness, bathrooms right at the front! If you come to the fair on a full stomach you have made a mistake! There are seemingly endless food vendors with all types of food. From turkey legs to arepas you can find it all. While we were here we had to have a corndog because its one of my favorite fair foods. There are tons of different vendors with corndogs so we wandered around until we found the best deal! We were also pretty thirsty and thankfully they had tons of options for beverages. If you're looking for lemonade, fruit punch, or any of the classic fair beverages, THEY GOT 'EM! If you're looking for more of an adult beverage they also have craft beer vendors all over the fairgrounds with incredible options from breweries all over the country. Let's talk about the rides! There are FOUR Ferris wheels, all different sizes! There is a gondola ride that takes you over the entire fair. There are slides and roller coasters and basically any classic fair ride that you could ever want! There is even a log water ride but you will get splashed so if its chilly out, I do not suggest it. My favorite ride was the giant swings! So much fun and you can see the entire fair from the top! There are also all sorts of games with prizes, fit for any age. There are shows happening all of the fairgrounds throughout the day. We got to witness some pig races, which I highly recommend, because it was so much fun. There are farms animals that you can walk around and even some petting zoos! One of my favorite things to check out was all of the local school kids' artwork! If you didn't get a chance to check out the Miami Youth Fair this year, make a space in your calendar for next year because it is 100% worth a visit!

This is a giant fair, probably more than a mile long. I attended on the last Saturday before closing for the rest of the year, it was packed. My boyfriend and I assumed if we went later in the day it would be better, we were wrong. Admission on weekends is $16 and unlimited rides is $40, definitely a pretty penny. There's lots of rides so its slightly worth it. Only thing I suggest is getting a Fast Pass so you don't have to wait as long in the lines. Also they charge $4 for water and they won't refill your cup without an up-charge. Still was fun though just very expensive.

A must do during spring break for the kids (7-8 years old). We went on a weekday around opening, 12ish, it was perfect for us. We stayed about 4 hours and the kids rode whatever they wanted as many times as they wanted to. We definitely got our moneys worth doing the unlimited bands. The games were SO expensive, we didn't even attempt 1. There were a few decent food spots outside of your normal carnival food. It wasn't an extremely hot day, if it was, we wouldn't of stayed as long, there wasn't a ton of shady spots to wait for the kids in. The parking was free, it wasn't packed so we weren't far away, they do offer a $20 pay to park up front option, but no need for us the day we went. You do have o pay to get in, admission fees, plus the rides. Save the money in the rides and either buy online or at sedanos. It will save a few bucks.

Today they had a drive through fair food super cool so you drive up with your car or walk over to the food truck and order food we got 2 cotton candy 1 candy apple fried Oreos,2 elephant ears with extra powder sugar and a corn omg it felt like we were at the fair again They did give us a steak on the stick but I really wanted the corn so they let's keep it nice friendly staffs hard workers .

everything else is fine, it's just the employees that get you into the parking. they take their sweet time and allow people to cut the line. they do not care, i was just by the entrance and it took about an hour and 30 minutes to get into the parking, due to them letting others cut line. everything is good, though. good rides, good food.

The fair, be there, it's all there, the fair... BE THERE! Or some other similar lyrics. My memory is that of a goldfish in all actuality. The fair, better known as the Youth Fair, comes around every year in March to please plenty. It's the traditional field trip that students year after year look forward to. At least that's how I remember it when I was a kid. As an adult, I think this may the second time I've gone in years. Last time I went was during late high school and/or early college. How time flies. They have a lot of the same things I remember from years ago. There's Arnold Hall for those wanting to see student exhibits and wanting to buy trinkets. A petting zoo, too, an ice show, and food galore central. General admission is $14. Parking is free unless you opt to do preferred parking. Tickets are expensive at a dollar each, so getting the unlimited pass may be your best bet. $28 on weekdays, $35 on weekends. A lot of rides around, but many of them were closed or being repaired. A lot of rides where you go upside down, some roller coasters, and a traditional Ferris wheel. Lots to do. As far as food goes, because seriously you're on Yelp and that probably means you're a foodie, prepare yourself. Corn, burgers, skewers, elephant ears, you name it. Oh, and for the adventurous ones: a donut burger. I'll let you think about that. Overall, a fun time, but at least for me, this wouldn't be something I do year after year. The novelty's worn off for me. I'm not a kid at heart, I guess.

Thanks to Dan C's UYE, I've finally returned to the Miami-Dade Youth Fair after a few years with some good company. General admission was $14 and my plan was to be here for the food and games only. No rides. I was happy to be the community bag holder, but eventually somehow I succumbed and purchased the unlimited ride pass at the $35 weekend price ($28 on weekdays). Because you know.. everyone else was doing it. So I had to do it too. But even then.. I chose the rides that only grandpa would've enjoyed. No twisty, upside down, gravity-defying rides for me. As for the food, I had a Mushroom Burger from Bob's Burgers which was pretty decent. I heard about a famous donut burger, but was not interested in it at the moment. Also had a small portion of a big Butterfinger donut. This donut was pretty sweet due to the toppings. As a side note, Butterfinger was one of my favorites growing up. I had these foods accompanied with a Blue Moon beer. My dear friend inhaled two whole corns all by herself, her favorite. Overall, prices were fair for the most part and the games costed about $5 each. Long gone are the days when they used to charge $1 or $2. As for parking, it's free. However, there's a new thing called Preferred Parking which you can opt to pay for. We decided not to since we arrived pretty early at 1:30pm and didn't have to park too far.

My first time attending the youth fair and i can honestly say that it will be a annual tradition for now on. I had an amazing time and felt safe which was very important to me being that i took my neice and nephew. Although i was surrounded by children, i still felt apart of the fun Bonus because they have huge stations where i ordered a nice margarita :) The farm was my favorite part of the night.

We went to the Miami date fair expo for an event during the Christmas season. I liked how the parking is ample and how old was organized as far as the tent, the tables, and the hospitality services. I like the fact that it's close to me and also very accessible to all.

I've been going since I was a kid and now as a parent I take my own kids. Tons of food, rides and cool exhibitions. A petting zoo, love music, a nightly parade. You can't go wrong but definitely arrive early, get an unlimited rides ticket and wear sunblock! They've done a great job this year with keeping the bathrooms clean and the food vendors all take cards now, even the games take card too which was never the case. Totally worth a visit

We've been coming to the Dade County expo for over 30 years. More specifically, The Fair. It's Miami Dade's annual expo and ride extravaganza featuring tons of attractions, shows, animal exhibits and greasy, but oh-so-addictive fair food. The Fair runs for about 3 weeks, usually between mid March and early April. Prices for entry is about 14.00 per person but there are plenty of specials and coupons you can find, especially for weekdays. For food, prices range from 3.00 and up, but it's definitely on the more expensive side , since it's the fair. Dade county students usually will get special tickets for admission through their schools as well. Some tips and highlights: -Buy unlimited ride bands if you plan on riding a lot of rides. It's provides a lot more value than tickets. -Purchase discounted tickets and bands at Sedanos -Go on a weekday if possible. If not, go early weekends. Nighttime is nice for the views, but can get very crowded and at times dangerous with fights. -For tots, there's two Kiddie Land areas, one near the entrance, the other towards the back. - There are plenty of shows including a circus, bands and acrobatics. -Walk through the actual expo and see art displays from local students. Our favorites foods include: -Gyros -Shish Kebabs -Elephant ears (try it with Bavarian cream) -Churros -Lemonade -Roasted Corn -Parking is free but there's also the option to upgrade if you go on the weekends, when it gets packed. There's also a tram that will transport you if you park far in the free parking section. All in all, The Fair is a fun and enjoyable time if you plan well and know what to expect. Its not the cleanest, at times it gets rowdy , and some of the people there can certainly benefit from having better manners, but...its a Miami classic and worth the visit for the fun and memories. Just know you will have to spend some bucks , but that's to be expected at any fair. It's remained consistent throughout the years and this year, 2019, they've added new rides and food. Go and have a great time!

This fair is one of the best that I have attended. I would definitely recommend going this year. They have all sorts of entertainment to enjoy while attending as well.

Go with your family... Go with your friends... For good times WHERE FUN NEVER ENDS!! The Fair! Be there! ITS ALL THEREEE!!! THE FAIR!!!!!!! BE THERE!!!! Us Miami folk know that song by heart and there's a reason why. Because it's the fair, bro! Don't get it twisted, this ain't Santa's (I know that song too, but whatever.) Sure, they host a bunch of different conferences and expos but we all know them for hosting the Youth Fair every spring. Buy a coupon, pay the full price, ride, don't ride, eat, come play token games, or just go shopping in Arnold Hall. It's the best place ever and so many of my fondest childhood memories arise from the Youth Fair being hosted here. Yeah, there's traffics and crowds with staggering prices and long lines but isn't that what we all love about Miami (takes sip of drank) and have grown to love?!

So we dared the fair crowd yesterday, actually wasn't too bad. We arrived about 3pm and decided to pay for the preferred parking, not happy about that. Picked up a few tickets from will-call, and made our way into the Fair!! First stop after we got all the tickets and ride bands was Dimetrious Gyros, as always they are good. Second, Fluffy's Donuts, they are so good and not heavy. Later we hit the cheese on a stick, my fair fav. Of course if your at the fair you gotta have an elephant ear. After some rides we hit up my new favorite. Roasted corn, spread with spicy mayo and covered with parmesan cheese and crushed flamin' cheetos. The lines to the rides weren't bad at the time we went. The crowd was lite, around 730-8pm. The crowd was growing and time for use to go. As we left I look a cinnamon bun to go, as a night cap.

Pretty good fair the price gives you what you want. Pretty good for being annual. The best fair I ever been to 9/10. Take your kids here if you want a good time.

Love the fair! Plenty of parking, plenty of spots to get food, and lots to see and do. Everything was very well organized and I'd love to go again. My favorite thing? Thursdays the entrance is $5, and they have spots offering goodies at a discount all around the fair as well. Their website specifies where the spots are on the map.

This review is only for the food. I was invited to go to the fair Friday night by my daughter who took my grandson for the first time. We didn't ride because he is too small. The last time I went to the fair was several years ago and I definitely saw a huge difference. We had coupons for the entrance and only paid $8. Regular price is double that. Wow!! I had the Elote in a cup ($8) from the vendor near the entrance. It was pretty good. We moved on to the Elote pizza which was $7 per slice. So not worth it. It had no flavor. It was featured in one of the articles for new foods at the fair, but it just tasted like dough. My daughter had the Chorizo Jalapeño pizza and she really liked it. Both are from the same vendor. We went into the exhibition hall and I felt that both the amount of school projects and vendors were fewer than previous years. My son in law had the Chicken Gyro from the vendor next to the MainStage and he thought it was just OK. We bought two ice creams ($22) from the ice cream vendor near the entrance. I thought they were extremely overpriced. I ordered a soft serve cone with sprinkles and it was $10. We also had the Guava and Cheese Elephant Ear which was $15. It was terrible. The elephant ear was super doughy and the guava is guava paste that they just plop on top of the dough. It was an item that was also reviewed in one of the articles showcasing new foods at the fair but a definite no! We ended with the pecan cinnamon rolls near the entrance. They were very good. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of each of the foos items. Overall, be prepared to spend a lot of money at the fair especially if you plan on riding rides and eating there too. It's a staple in Miami and I'm sure I'll be back, but this experience was not worth the money I spent.

I went 2 times this year I went march 30th with my dad and aunt and cousin and we had fun and I went back to the fair April 4th for my school field trip my class and I had a great time i suggest you go to the fair next year when it opens again it will be fun

The Youth Fair is a classic staple here in Miami-Dade ,when spring arrives you know it's that time to grub on some food and enjoy the rides! So much has changed and everything is overcharged. When you enter the fair they have VIP parking for extra that's not really worth it because they have a trolley that comes around if you are parked far. Entrance on special days is $3 or $5 each. I believe admission is about $10 on regular days. If your a person that loves to ride everything then u must also purchase the unlimited wrist band that's an additional $28. They also have fast pass for another price. I really come for the food and I wasn't impressed this year. Stick to the staples elephant ears, pinchos, Turkey legs. I do love that they included beer stations that have alot of local beers. The shows are great for the kids also included is feed and pet the animals so cute! Make sure you bring your credit card it's almost as expensive as going to Disney.

Be There! The Fair! (Everyone Sing-A-Long!) QUALITY If you are like me and have been visiting the Dade County Youth Fair and Exposition since you were a wee little tike, you might smile when those words or lyrics are mentioned. For years, "the Fair" has been a south Florida or Dade County tradition. I recently visited with my wife and mother had a fantastic time as always. I feel a huge part of this is the quality overall when you enter, walk around, eat, drink and head out. As I reflect on prior years, I always think of how the fair folks have managed to bring up their game each time around. QUANTITY I believe the number of activities and shows, as well as rides and food, cannot be left out. There is surely a lot for everyone. Whether you are a very picky eater such as me, or a deep-fried -Oreo-loving fiend, everyone can find their goodness in this department. When it comes to rides and such, again, there is something for everyone. It is true that not everyone likes to go on roller coasters, but why not the bumper cars, or the carousel? I would opt for the Gravitron if it were not for the inner ear issue that makes me so nauseous. Oh well. There is also a ton of shows and activities to be seen and enjoyed. From pig races to ice shows, down to the circus. This year, we saw a fantastic Bee Gees tribute band that had even the workers going bonkers. VALUE Depending on the day and time, you can spend a very nominal amount, up to a higher amount, if you are to factor in rides and food. The value for all this is as you take it. The food can be either very affordable or very over-priced, depending on what you do like; and the ride tickets are about as pricy as any other midway in the state or likely country. Admission is affordable on certain days or with passes, and seniors and small children can enjoy free admissions typically. All in all, value for all amenities is there in my opinion. AMBIANCE We are talking about a FAIR, that is an outdoor amusement park. I would expect to see screaming rowdy children having a great time. I would also expect to see parents smiling as they enjoy the glow of said children while on the rides and eating all the sugar one can handle. The fair has the clowns and carny's and all other typical folks you have come to expect - and for me - this just makes the annual experience all the better. The circus may smell like elephants but then again - it is a fair circus. How about that as a visual and 'smell-a-tory' sense creation? CROWD Similar to the ambiance, the fair has a vast array of people of all ages, types, and groups who enjoy all the different things offered. From the shows to the pig races, all demographics seem to love it all. I enjoy seeing kids and folks of all ages take in all the types of entertainment and these types of folks coexist in what typically is a diverse melting pot in Miami. I would say that the weekend would likely have more kids, but then again those are not able to use the unlimited ride pass on the weekend, so watch out any day. I went on a Monday and the crowd was very subdued to say the least. SERVICE With carnies roaming around and calling you in to play games, down to the friendly folks at the concessions and livestock - there seems to be a smiling face at all corners of the fair. There are a ton of volunteers working First Aid, as well as other booths and these folks, typically are local. I love that the fair opens its doors for small part-time work for everyone of different diversity - this is a plus to me. PARKING Some time ago, the fair folks decided to use the "tram" system to shuttle folks that have parked very fair back to the front. The system works very well, and you can get to and from your car with ease. You could also opt for the "premium" parking that will bring you up to the front with the handicapped spaces, however, I feel typical that why would one want to save on feet steps when you are just going to walk around the fair anyway? Sure, I know all that walking around the grounds is enough - anyway. EXTRA I can never say enough great things about the Dade County Youth Fair. I am biased; however, I try to be as honest as possible. This year and last, I am particularly happy to have visited since being a second-year teacher has allowed me to submit my student's digital media and game design projects. Many of my students did very well and earned 1st places prizes as well as monetary awards. I was so happy. Thank you to all the folks involved and here is to many more years of the fair! Bring back the CAKE WALK!

MDC county fair is an annual large fair that happens next to Florida International University. Every year this fair gets more and more expensive. I understand prices in Miami are rising but it's a bit crazy. The admission is the least of your worries. During the week they have deals and you can get all sorts of coupons to pay for entrance. The problem arises once you get in. SO EXPENSIVE. At least for me. The fair offers you an array of all sorts of fried food. Don't come here on any sort of diet. The food gets pricey. Corn used to be a dollar now its $3-4 for a stalk of corn. Elephant ears, corn dogs, gyros oh my! You can find just about anything you love to eat. This includes alcohol and lots of beer. They sell tickets but they also sell a daily pass which they call a pop ticket where you can ride everything. If it's a day that is busy I recommend the express pass. With both of these you're looking at $80. This is just one person. All ages pay for tickets too. Point is come with money but you will have fun and eat really well! ;)

I'm a big fan of county fairs especially the Miami Youth Fair. Thanks to Dan for organizing a UYE a week ago to continue the tradition. This is probably my 4th time here with a big group and it's always so much fun. There's over a hundred games and rides for all ages plus plenty of food options. Pro tip: If you get your tickets from Sedano's, you can save $4 for General Admission or save $10 for Unlimited Rides and they work even on weekends. FYI, I just happen to stop by a Sedano's along the way to get an energy drink and noticed a couple buying Fair tickets so that's how I found out.   We always start at the craft beer tent for a drink and as a starting point. Then we all grab something to eat before we hit the rides, which I know might not be a good thing...lol :)  I actually tend to go crazy with the food at The Fair because I love anything fried or sweet. The donut burger by the beer tent is a must. I forgot the name of vendor but this time around I skipped it by my friends got cheeseburgers and they looked good. However, I was enticed by a new vendor called Fluffy's Donuts. I simply couldn't resist the display of the gorgeous handmade donuts which also made it really tough to decide on which flavor. After contemplating, I finally selected the Butterfinger donut and it was delicious. And surprisingly, it wasn't too sweet either and only $6. What? The size was big enough to share with 6 people!  My other fav was the grilled corn. Just be careful not to take a bite right away because it's super hot.   As far as rides, I'm not really comfortable riding most of the multi-spinning and inverting rides. They just make me so dizzy. I also don't like the tall drop rides or the Ferris wheel. I just don't feel confident about the reliability and it would suck to be stuck up in the air, right?  However, I did ride some oldie but goodie ones including the Avalanche, Blizzard, Matterhorn, Mouse Trap, Yoyo, Ring of Fire and a new one called Skater. Trust, getting the unlimited ride ticket was worth it.   The Fair is a must for families and friends. It may not be Disney nor Universal but it's a beloved local amusement park during the months of March and April at FIU. It always make me feel nostalgic and carefree. Until next year ;)

Ive been going to the Dade County Youth Fair since I was a kid. The fair was like the rugged Wild West back then. Carnies in dirty clothes, tickets being hoarded like gold nuggets. Now its as spotless as Disney and just as organized! Almost. It is way nicer than it used to be. Since a new management company took over, there's a civilized system for all access ride passes, fast passes and tickets if youre feeling nostalgic. The best part of the fair was the cheap fairway game prices. We won toys, BIG STUFFED TOYS, for only $3 dollars. Yes we did spend a bit more on various games, but the two we won on, we won right away. Other games have guaranteed wins when you pay a certain price so kids will feel like successes no matter their skill level. After Games, food was our focus. The new weird food this year was interesting but I wouldnt order any of it again. We tried the Dilly Dilly Dog. A Hot Dog on a stick, shoved into a big pickle, dipped in corndog batter and deep fried. Sadly our dilly wasnt fried enough so liquid batter poured out when you bit into it! In theory it was great! in practice not so much. We were able to return and were given a regular super long corn dog instead and it was perfectly fried. We then tried the taco in a bag, with taco toppings put inside a chip bag, where the chips are like the tortilla. That was good, but messy and also will not be repeating the experience. We tried the street corn with crushed fire hot cheetos and too much mayo. Pretty presentation! Greasy taste. I do love roasted corn, but ill stick to the traditional butter and salt version next year. Oddly enough, the basic pizza slice was one of our favorites. It was good! simple and worth a repeat. They did introduce a $3 bargain day where a whole list of stands had food items for only 3 bucks. We tackled a bunch of them like quesadillas, elephant ears, candy apples and roasted turkey tacos. We covered most of the food we wanted and it was completely worth the bingeing. As for the rides, we got the package with the unlimited ride pass. We rode about 6 rides, our favorite being this two arm, swing around chair ride that goes up really high, like a ferris wheel but only for about 4 people at the end of each long arm. The fun houses and roller coasters were fun but that arm ride was amazing! Cant wait to see what next year holds!
