Ironside Bakery Review - Little River - Miami - The Infatuation

"Ironside Bakery is the perfect spot that we can never manage to think of when we’re trying to decide where to go for lunch. It’s right next to its consistently great sibling Ironside Pizza, but the food at the bakery is good enough to justify skipping the pizzas next door. The bread here is excellent, and they put it to delicious use in a small menu of toasts and sandwiches, like the smoked salmon on perfect, salty focaccia. The croissants and danishes underneath the display case should also be coming home with you. photo credit: Emily Schindler" - Ryan Pfeffer

Wow! We had our FemForce photoshoot here and what a treat! Great vibes all around, plenty shaded areas, can't wait to come back! PS- Try the Lemon Garden Café. You won't regret it!

Lovely place, HORRIBLE, price-gouging, almost corrupt, parking experience. I will not go back. They will charge you nearly $100 for a "parking overstay." This should be illegal and I will report this to the BBB. I just received a parking "ticket" from a so-called Parking Management System, when in fact I paid with the Pay-to-Park app. I overstayed an extra hour, but to overcharge $60 is price-gouging, Mr. Ofer Mizrahi. This is shameful. It makes the lovely experience of going there so unpleasant. You are doing a disservice to all your patrons and businesses at this location.

Don’t ever use their parking. I paid for parking. It get expired. I paid for an hour again and they still fined me for $45 + fees. Plaza looks lovely but service is terrible.

Best Eggplant Parmesan ever! I loove it exactly like in Italy! And oh boy the atmosphere, the service and everything was amazing! Don’t forget to have the best Cappuccino in Miami! Free parking and beautiful for group gatherings. Thank you staff!🙏🏽❤️

We had the monthly meeting of our Global Luxury Group in one of their event spaces combined with a lunch. The salads were fresh with light dressings and the involtini appetizer was yummy! Great pizza and pasta dishes. Convenient place for your next business lunch or private event. The staff members were professional and did follow the CDC Covid guide lines. We'll be back!

Delicious food and ambiance. Dog friendly. They even have vegan pizza, which was great (THANK YOU!). It is a BYOB place, which is awesome too. Waiters tend to get mixed up with larger groups, yes. If service improves, it will be for sure THE BEST place to eat in the neighborhood.

Great place, amazing food, awesome venue. Corporate event, date to impress or just a night out. This is the place. Ofer treats everyone like a VIP. Make sure to add Miami Ironside to you place to be!

Yelp
The BEST pizza in Miami! And the gluten free pizza crust is amazing. I am celiac and usually can't find GF pizza I like. We loooove how family friendly it is and the service is always wonderful.

Yelp
The ambiance & food is amazing. My favorite cafe thus far, the service is exceptional, the place is surrounded by plants tucked away in the heart of Miami. Love it!

Yelp
I love it! the atmosphere is top tier. Cute little hideaway spot. Delicious food and excellent service.

Yelp
do not recommend working with them for your next event. Was a horrible experience for us. they were not honest at all

Naomie C.

Yelp
No words can describe the management , which I will leave nameless. We made a jewish event, and they treated us horribly. From start to finish, and we have not gotten back our security deposit. They made up lies about us, and treated us horribly. It was disgusting. Rude, terrible, dishonest people. Do not rent this venue, I can tell you, you will absolutely regret it.

Yelp
If you have not tried this place yet, do yourself a favor and go try it in person. We don't have many great pizza options in Miami, and this is one of them.

Yelp
An P. and I purchased tickets for The Little Mermaid Cocktail Experience. Imagine my surprise when the location was at Miami Ironside and I had no idea where that was. A quick GPS search, and well, I found it all right, completely godsmacked that I had passed by this neck of the woods and never put two and two together. Honestly I'm not really sure the entirety of what's in this area. It looks like Ironside Pizza and a few other businesses dedicated to selling skincare, art, and the like are around. Somewhat fancier than you'd expect given the neighborhood, but eh, I assume that's why they have an affordable PaybyPhone parking lot attached. Ultimately I went as this was a venue for an event, and well, they pulled it off swimmingly (pun intended). The Little Mermaid Cocktail Experience was fantabulous - that's fantastic and fabulous all rolled into one. Definitely recommend the experience and the venue. Everything was very clearly organized.

Yelp
Miami Ironside is a 100,000 square foot mixed use center in Miami's historic upper east side in the area known as Little River. It is located next to the Florida East Coast Railway. There is limited street parking and a pay lot. Created in 2003 from industrial warehouses by developer Ofer Mizrahi, Ironside contains design showrooms, beauty salons, shops, cafes, art studios, a wellness center, galleries, and event space. It is a place where artists, architects, fashionistas, interactive media and visual arts designers, and furniture and fixture suppliers can gather to make and sell their wares in the midst of a tropical garden punctuated with art pieces. Paths link the glass store fronts and there is outdoor dining in the central public plaza at Ironside Pizza and Italian Coffee Bar. The area between the buildings is stunning with plants and colorful eucalyptus trees that you only usually find in botanical gardens. During my visit on a Saturday afternoon most of the stores were closed but it was still fun to walk around and explore. Right now Ironside is the host of the The Little Mermaid Cocktail Experience, a live show with cocktail pairings. Ironside may not be as well known as say Wynwood but there is still a lot of cool art and culture happening here too like the large art piece in the courtyard made from a piece of the Berlin Wall. It is always fun to discover another facet of Miami.

Yelp
Ironside is pre dominantly for industries to get their design stuff for refurbs...such as tiles, art, etc..not really anything to purchase for the day to day shopper. Having said that I came here just for a look around as I have heard ironside is modern, chic, urban, typical Miami..so I came for a poke around. Great for photography and Instagram lovers. There are seating areas dotted all inside and it is a very pleasant atmosphere, even if it is located right next to the railway tracks. You will hear the occasional train rushing by. There is lovely foliage around, such as colourful eucalyptus trees and I also spotted a tree that was silver in colour..I kid you not! I took some pictures as proof. I also noticed some vegetables and herbs dotted around too. The artsy concrete art in the centre area is originally from the Berlin Wall, so worthy of a look. Also there is the Ironside kitchen..a pizza come cafe, which I also went to for a spot of lunch...see my other review for that.

Yelp
Cool place. Unfortunately, Ironside decided to team up with Professional Parking Management to fleece their customers out of more money via privately-issued parking tickets. Yup, those Pay-By-Phone signs in their lot are not city-issued. They were put up by Ironside. So they're charging you money to park + an additional $45 to $85 via a privately-issued parking ticket if you overstay your meter (even though you overstayed because you were inside spending money at their business and didn't hear the alert on your phone over the noise). Either park outside on the street or do what I do and boycott businesses that employ these sleazy tactics. I won't be back. https://bit.ly/3tVQwKN

Yelp
Went here with my best friend for a girls night out and had an amazing time! We went to the little mermaid for some cocktails and a show and it was definitely entertaining. I'm not going to lie it wasn't what I was expecting I was expecting the original tragic little mermaid tale but it was still an amazing show! They did an incredible job creating the ambience. The elevator pirate was my favorite!

Yelp
Great space, a lot of outdoor green areas, amazing Ironside Pizza and the new Lemon Garden Cafe is perfect for organic food. Also, it's a good choice for kids since they always have new activities. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
It had been over a year that I've come to eat at Ironside. My last review wasn't so positive. I was generally disappointed with the food. I'm happy to have gone back, I love eating out in the back courtyard. The service was friendly, the pizzas were all delicious. I was with several friends and we each had a different one, my favorite was CHE FAME. The only criticism I can make is they only sell one white and one red wine. Both are very mediocre wines and priced at $35. Overall, I was very pleased with my evening and the food.

Yelp
Loved this space! The aesthetics and decor was perfect for our event! We definitely will be back soon.

Yelp
A colleague of mine approached Miami Ironside to discuss the possibility of holding an art exhibition consisting of high-priced glass sculptures. After discussing several details, the representative from Miami Ironside decided to back out of negotiations as he did not "personally support" the art that was to be presented at his premises simply because the pieces consisted of some glass pipes (which were not to be used during the exhibition). I find this to be offensive to the art community and would not recommend this location to any of my artist colleagues. This discrimination against a certain form of art is not what the Miami art community stands for.

Yelp
Went in for the first time for my brothers birthday and the people serving and helping us Eva & Leo were super friendly and attentive. The pizza was great and so was the pasta. The place was nice and a great experience overall.

Yelp
Miami, you're missing out. It's crazy that I am the first person to review Miami Iron Side. I can only hope the reason is the people who have want to keep the knowledge to themselves... because this space is fantastic. It might even be -- dare I say it -- fanciful. Footloose? Fabulous? Tired of the same ol' same in Wynwood? Come check out the burgeoning scene in Little River. The Iron Side offers a similar industrial feel but the space feels so much more organic. It feels less commissioned and more natural. Wandering around the complex, I was struck by the size and scope of the building. The individual art spaces provoke discussion and the shared venue space is drool-worthy. This place drips art. Not literally, because that would be disgusting, but in the most wonderfully figurative ways imaginable. What I really love about the complex (in addition to the bold statement of where it's placed) is the unique meld of metal, art and natural resources. Yep, the Iron Side isn't all iron. It effectively blends nature into the design. Throughout the space, you'll encounter trees, shrubs and other green space effortlessly and inconspicuously woven into the urban tapestry. Not so much into art, architecture and/or green space? No worries. There's an on-site indoor soccer field and a chic cafe on premises as well. Seriously. Why haven't you been here/written about this place? I know you'll like it. A not-so-blank canvas of imagination, urban reclamation and artist vision, the Iron Side is sure to delight and engage your senses. You owe it to yourself to check it out!

Yelp
Saturday Night was my first time at the Miami art space and I absolutely love it! I've done the art-walk only once before and never knew Mas was there !! Great job to Whitney R. for an amazing event!!! My favorite Miami New times Cover is the one with the Pig using different cuts of meat lol. The open bar was stocked with Puerto Rico's best rums and the bartenders were more than willing to keep our glass full. Sadly I left before the dance party Paula mentioned got started but I wanted to get good parking near all the other galleries ( Thanks Gipsy for the tip) I look forward to coming back to Mas in the future to see what beautiful art they will have .

Yelp
So...I'm still searching for a reception venue for the wedding I've never planned.... I came across the website for Miami Art Space and I saw some pictures of what looks like KICK ASS wedding receptions. I must say, if you've got the dollar have your reception here! I'm one of those artsy fartsy girls who can't stand reception halls and frickin chandeliers. If you're going to spend the money, do it with some class. Treat your guests to some visual orgasms Check out the website art gallery. It'll blow your mind, and you'll wonder how come your friends never thought to think awesome when it came to that special day...

Yelp
Excellent place! Italian fresh food made by order. Wood fired real Italian pizzas. Very good service, real Italian servers... A nice touch! The eggplant parmigiana is a must! Also the Nutella pizza for dessert is very unique! I recommend this place!

Yelp
Delicious and pleasant. It's so nice sitting outside when it's cool. Such nice waiters and delicious food. Love the vegan options and the eggplant appetizer.

Yelp
Twice there within a week! Personally absolute loved the Quattro formaggic ...might be a bit too strong for non cheese lovers...but all the other styles of pizza I was able to sample - all brilliantly executed

Yelp
I just curated an event at the Miami Art Space. Paula E, came to see it! ( New Times: 22 Years of Art) The space is great, it has a lot of versatility. There are two buildings, within a beautiful Banyan tree lined courtyard. You can shape the space to your needs with moveable walls, and adjust the lighting. The manager Alexis is a dream to work with, knowledgeable, fun and professional. It is a little off the beaten path so it is a great place to begin or end your Art Walk. There is ac, drinks and great works. Check this place out if you are hosting an event.

Yelp
This place is perfect! Authentic Italian pizza just like my grandpa used to make. Thin crust with fresh sauce, perfect balance of cheese and meats-the arugula and salami pizza was delicious. I love the idea of bringing your own wine(no corkage fee!!!) and our waiter was fast and friendly. As a bonus we had a view of the art and the kids had a blast playing in the center of the entertainment area. Can not wait to go back and make this a regular spot!

Yelp
I've been to MAS many times before during Art Walks, but I had never thought of reviewing it. I spent a good amount of time there last night at the New Times: 22 Years of Art exhibit and I cannot begin to describe the fun I had. What an awesome place, super roomy, really good lighting, definitely a great gallery. I also enjoyed the big spacious outdoor patios they have, its nicely lit so you can take breaks from the inside activities and share your opinions with friends over a cig. Whitney R. was essentially in charge of this event, and she only had nothing but super pleasant things to say about Alexis, the owner. They were serving Puerto Rican rums at their open bar, where they mixed delightful concoctions. The Dj was really good, he played some really funky ethnic music. He was accompanied by a Bongo player and a lady that toward the end of the evening, started dancing to the beat of the drums and the music, and began a sort of dance-off circle with everyone. Not only that, but they were also simultaneously having a locks-of-love event in the room next door where the stylists from Snip were giving people haircuts (free if you donated 10 in.) All in all a very nifty shing-ding, I look forward to more events here.

Jessica A.

Yelp
i love Iron Side "green campus" mixed use studio, gallery, exhibit, recreation, event and production space
