This cozy North Miami spot serves up tasty Korean classics like bulgogi and ramen, with friendly service and a chill deck for dining al fresco.
"If we’re handing out awards for The Best Sauce Situation and The Most Perfect Fried Exterior, Korean Kitchen would win both. Like proper Korean fried chicken, the wings have a thin, crispy outer shell that’s barely holding in tender meat that slides right off the bone. There are a couple of sauce options, but you want the “sweet and spicy”—a gochujang-based sauce that makes each wing so beautifully shiny you could probably use a drummette to find your way home in the dark." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"Korean food might be one of the most underrepresented cuisines in Miami-Dade County. In fact, we can only think of one place doing classic Korean dishes justice, and it’s Korean Kitchen. The 163rd spot makes a proper bibimbap served in a hot stone bowl, some of our favorite wings in Miami, outstanding kimchi, budae jjigae, and more Korean dishes you won’t find done this well anywhere else in town on the menu. Both the little dining room and outdoor patio are ideal spots to get very full with a few friends and a couple of bottles of soju." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino
"A frills-free spot in North Miami Beach, Korean Kitchen dishes the essentials for a flavorful Korean feast: rice cakes in spicy sauce, Korean corn dogs (mozzarella and fish cake on a stick), and various bibimbap, noodles, scallion pancakes, and bulgogi sandwiches. Feeling adventurous? Order a bowl of silkworm larvae soup, a Korean delicacy with a unique umami hit. The restaurant delivers all that and traditional Milkis yogurt soda." - Juliana Accioly
"Korean Kitchen in North Miami Beach is the best (and, tragically, one of the only) places in Miami to get classic Korean dishes. One of those is bingsu, a shaved ice dessert that Korean Kitchen offers in three flavors: Oreo, strawberry, and mango. Go for the mango. Plus, Korean Kitchen puts a scoop of vanilla ice cream and some whipped cream on top for good measure. You'll want to split this with someone because, like most of the dishes here, it's pretty massive. " - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino, carlos c olaechea
