Selina, the Hotel for Digital Nomads, Is Coming to the U.S.

"In September, Selina will open its first location in Miami’s Little Havana neighborhood. You’ll see a lot more of them after that: Though the company can't officially confirm more U.S. locations outside of Miami, they have big plans in the works—and expect to grow to at least 40 locations globally by the end of 2019."

Amazing experience! You can build your own charcuterie board, and they let you see all the meats and cheeses as soon as you walk in. They have a great wine selection along with other drink options. The whole place is a vibe — great outdoor seating and a DJ. The pizza was delicious, and I truly enjoyed everything. Highly recommend!

We are a family of four who stayed at Miami River Inn by Renzzi (also called Selina Miami River Inn ) for one night, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience! We had booked a small studio and settled in—unpacked, filled the fridge, and put things in the closet—when we realized there was no hot water. The only solutions we were offered were to either use another apartment just to shower or to move to a different one altogether. We chose to move, but despite there being three staff members at the desk, none of them offered to help us carry our luggage. The new apartment was up a very steep staircase, which made it difficult with luggage, and it was located right next to a bar. The music was extremely loud all evening—it honestly felt like we were inside the bar itself. When we mentioned this to the staff, they told us that the best solution was to go to the bar and complain ourselves. We asked for some form of compensation for the inconvenience, especially since we only had one evening in Miami and lost a lot of time moving rooms, but our request was refused. Overall, we felt that the hotel staff showed no willingness to help or take responsibility for the issues. The experience was stressful, uncomfortable, and not worth the price at all. We would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Miami.

Such a beautiful boutique hotel! I came with my husband for a weekend getaway and we fell in love with the place. The courtyard is magical, the bar has a great chill vibe, and everything feels so authentic. You can see how much care has gone into the renovation, it keeps the historic charm but feels fresh and comfortable.

⚠️ DANGEROUS, FILTHY, & FRAUDULENT: A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE ⚠️||Rating: 1/5 (Would give 0 if possible)||Review:||I am a well-traveled individual and have stayed in accommodations all over the world. I have never experienced anything as horrific, unsafe, and disgusting as the Miami River Inn By Renzzi.||To put it simply: DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE.||1. The Online Photos are a Complete Lie||Do not trust the pictures you see on the booking sites. This is a classic "bait and switch." The room I was given looked nothing like the photos. It was not just old; it was filthy, dilapidated, and looked like a cell.||2. Severe Health Hazards||The conditions were absolutely vile. I walked into the shared bathroom and immediately wanted to vomit. There were bloody articles left out in the open. It was unsanitary and clearly a biohazard. It felt less like a hotel and more like an abandoned drug den.||3. Dangerous Negligence||Beyond the filth, this building is physically dangerous. There were no lights in the steep stairwell. Because of this total negligence, I fell down the stairs. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen.||4. It Felt Unsafe to Breathe, Let Alone Sleep||The atmosphere was terrifying. It felt like a "drug hotel." I did not feel safe for a single second. I didn't even stay in the room for one minute—I grabbed my bags and fled immediately.||5. Theft and Refusal to Refund||Here is the final insult: Despite the dangerous conditions and the fact that I didn’t stay, the hotel refused to refund me. They passed the buck, telling me I had to contact the third-party booking site. When the third party contacted the hotel to approve the refund, the hotel denied it. They know exactly what they are doing. They trap you with fake photos, provide a squalid room, and then keep your money when you are forced to leave for your own safety.||Summary:||The Miami River Inn By Renzzi should be shut down by the health department. It is a scam. It is dangerous. It is filthy.||DO NOT BOOK HERE.

Stayed here for a couple of days. Very nice vibe, little paradise in the city. Everyday clean room and towels. The girl (josefine) at the front desk was very nice she arranged every thing needed to have a pleasant stay. Very friendly guy watching the gate at night en even the maintenance guy was singing in the morning. I’ll go here again next time.

Google
This is a hotel with nice rooms, nice staff, and very beautiful. BUT- the presence of a bar with LIVE music and karaoke which plays until midnight consistently (including on weekdays) kinda of ruins the whole central aim of a hotel. Sleep! If you want a hotel where you can sleep, stay away. This was very unexpected and highly disappointing, especially at the price point.

Google
This place completely exceeded my expectations. You can tell it’s a historic property, but everything has been beautifully restored with a modern touch. I stayed for a few nights on a work trip and it was the perfect balance between quiet and central. Walking distance to great spots by the river and only a short Uber ride to Brickell. Highly recommend it!

Google
Place is very decent for the value, customer service is great and the area is quiet and seems well kept. Nice diversity of people here as well. First time staying in a hotel like this. I was skeptical at first but huge plus to not being too far from downtown.

Yelp
This hotel is so awful, I was compelled to write this review before I even checked out! Let's start with the fact that the entrance of the hotel is very difficult to find. I pulled up to a closed gate and was instructed to call a number from a flyer. I called once and no one picked up. I called again and someone answered, but they were confused about the closed gate. After a bit, they realized the main gate was closed and opened it for me. As I walked in, I immediately saw a DEAD RAT on the ground. The worst part is there were several hotel staff walking past the VERY visible rat. Disgusting! This hotel is absolutely not ADA accessible. There are no accommodations if you can't use stairs. The stairs feel like they're about to fall apart in any second. The rooms are incredibly outdated and don't have AC. They also were not clean - ours had OLD HAIR in the shower! The door to the bathroom door would not close at all. The music is also blasting outside and you can hear it clearly from your room. The fact that they charge a resort fee without having all of the amenities of a normal resort is criminal. We didn't even get hand soap to use?? PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!

Yelp
If you're looking for a spot with a ton of Miami character this is it! I stayed in one of the private king rooms. Victor at the front desk was extremely welcoming and helpful and upgraded me for free! The room was very simple, boutique-like, very cute. There are not many amenities in the room. I did not see a hairdryer, but had brought my own, and there is no television, but it was very colorful and very clean. The bed was comfy! The best part of the hotel is definitely the walking grounds. They have a beautiful space with a pool, a coworking space, a large courtyard and a bar and restaurant. They offer yoga classes every day. I was in town for business and after my meetings my plan was to go explore Miami, but I ended up staying at the hotel for dinner and not leaving! The restaurant is amazing, there are so many great spots to take pictures outside, and the food was very high-end. I had some of the best cocktails in my life and would definitely recommend getting the ceviche and the chicken empanadas! They did play music outside but they ended it at a reasonable hour and it wasn't very loud from my room even through I was overlooking the courtyard. I would absolutely stay here again, and next time I will bring friends!

Yelp
These are old apartments turned into hotel rooms. The smell of the entire apartment was close to a dead body. You must keep the air on very low at all times to keep the smell to a tolerable odor. The decor pillows on the sofa and the beds had disgusting stains and smells. Toss them off the bed immediately and stray your beds down. The showers need to be taken down and a little money needs to be invested. So much mold in the cracks of the shower. No wash clothes available for guest. No trash can in the kitchen. No iron or ironing board in the suites. No elevators for handicapped individuals. They put us on the second floor. If you need noise to sleep know that you can hear everything. Helicopters, people talking in office and outside, car accident all after the hours of midnight.

Yelp
This place disappointed me. I had a very small room without a television, air conditioning or a bathroom. I had to share the bathroom with the other two rooms in the building. The window would barely stay open for a small amount. Luckily it wasn't a hot night or it would have been a lot worse. I asked for extra towels and they did not have any. It was only for one night and I am happy for that. I only paid about $80. The area was okay, but I will pay a little bit more to stay at a way better hotel. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Spend more money and stay at a nicer place.

Yelp
When the room was booked, it did not stated that the bathroom would be shared. I have an injury to my knees and asked for a first floor but was given a third floor with low a ceiling, that being said I could not walk freely in the room. I hit my head more than 10 times. Plus I was charged a resort fee, it is far from being a resort! I booked the room through Booking.Com and they dated I should have been charged.
