The good reviews brought me to this spot, but the delicious noodles and great service will get me to come back. As weird as it may sound, sometimes you just get a craving for homemade noodles in delicious broth when it’s 90+ degrees outside. Mian is a great spot to quench that unusual craving, tucked away in a packed shopping center in the heart of Stone Oak.
The interior dining area is small at Mian and it’s usually busy, a good sign. The young wait staff were very friendly and were quick to answer any questions and provide helpful information. You can see the noodles and food being prepped and cooked from the dining area, kinda cool.
We ordered an appetizer of Pan-Fried Pork and Scallion Dumplings. They were piping hot and fresh and were very tasty. For the main entree we ordered the Braised Pork Ribs Noodle Soup and the Steam Fried Pork Noodle Soup. You get a hefty portion of soup and it is packed full of goodies, chives, green onion, bok choy, meat, and broth. You get your choice of noodle, thin, thick, or wide. You can tell the broths have been made with love, as they are loaded with savory flavors. These soups are deceptively filling and you get your moneys worth. I would definitely go back to Mian. The handmade noodles and broth and delicious dumplings, combined with the friendly and welcoming staff create the perfect environment to enjoy some delicious food!
