*Updated Whilst problem 2 has been resolved I've had radio silence on issue 1 despite submitting numerous support requests. Their website clearly states to contact support however they don't seem to be able to handle these requests. Original review below. - Really poor experience shopping online with 2 huge issues: 1. I purchased a gold Arden Ring which within less than a month of wear has started to tarnish, I've sent multiple support requests to no response. 2. I returned 3 items in an order and only got refunded for 2, leading to a £150 shortfall. Again numerous messages and no response so having to dispute the card payment. Really disappointing. If someone from Miansai reads this it's in relation to order 30232856, but I'm not hopeful of any response

Avoid their gold products! Tarnishes and they won’t fix it for you. I’ve purchased a few bracelets from them and each of them tarnishes over time. On their website they said their gold is covered for lifetime and when I reached out they said they couldn’t find my account or purchase history so they can’t do anything. Why is it the customer’s fault if you can’t find my purchase history? I will never buy anything from them again. Don’t buy their gold because it’s cheap!

Absolute trash quality for the price and zero customer support. The designs are cool but I'd avoid buying anything from Miansai ever again. I've attached a picture of my broken tie clip which I wore exactly two times.

The designs look cool but the quality is terrible. After just three months the gold is fading. On top of that, I was told the diamond version would be back in stock in a few weeks, so I purchased one in my size while I waited for the other to come in. Now I’m told that they aren’t getting it in and they’ve cut the price by more than 50%

UPDATE: Had to open a dispute with my bank just to get my money back after returning the necklace back to them in-store. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Returned a necklace there in person a week ago. Was told the refund was issued but it never appeared. Had to contact my bank in order to resolve the issue.

I love how their rings look. Unfortunately, 2/3 of them already got scratches after just a couple of days. I didn't do any manual work or other activities that should damage them. I have some cheap rings (5-20$) that lasted way longer without getting scratched :/ Design 5☆ Quality 2☆

I’ve had my diamond choker necklace and my earrings for almost 4 years. I never take them off except to clean. Ocean, showers, to bed. Love their products.

I've had multiple bracelets / necklaces and all have broken within ~1 year, including some of their more expensive ones. The bracelets also have very poorly designed clasps that lead to them opening up and falling off, I've unfortunately lost both of my Miansai bracelets that way. Would not recommend

I'll bet you didn't know there was a quiet little tea bar on this stretch of Crosby! Yes that's right, with some easy benches in the front, you'll have a huge list of black, green & pu-erh teas to choose from. While you're drinking your tea, pull out a good book and enjoy the space, or browse the beautiful jewelry displays. You'll see industrial inspired pieces, that carry a modern look to them. You also may work your way to the back of the space to find a doorway leading to a courtyard. It's also available to customers, and shared with Saturday's Surf next door. Let's hope this soho secret remains one. :)

I have the same issue with a similar ring (one gem stone). The gold rubbed away with 6 weeks, and the silver underneath look years old. it is terrible quality. It looks exactly like the pictures that you have posted. I bought it in the UK from Mr Porter who have refused a refund or credit note, so I will have to take this to the small claims court, unless Miansai can resolve the problem. Can you tell me Shelby, how was miansai's response? Yvonne

I wish that the brand would produce its iconic cuff in brass and other metals that would not be subject to discoloration when worn frequently. I have the gold plated cuff and LOVED it but the plating wore off quickly compared to other pieces I have from other brands. After reaching out to customer service to inquire about re-plating service, the best I was offered was a discount to make a new purchase. This isn't environmentally sustainable; I don't want to create waste with the original piece. I did a bit of searching and I feel like the new item might wear as poorly as the original. We LIKE your designs. You have excellent taste. We WOULD buy more items if they were made from materials that could be worn as heirlooms, rather than as fast fashion. I'll be watching and if this changes in the future, I will be your first customer again.

I would recommend you shop elsewhere. They strung me along for over a month with emails every week claiming it would be ready in the following week. The order was over 600$ and they eventually canceled it because they could not fulfill the order. A totally incompetent company.

Quality can be better for the price. I would have kept it anyway, but unfortunately the ring is too big. Which is strange because I bought a special ring sizer and measured my finger. It is extremely annoying that I have to pay almost 40€ for the return shipping. That is really pathetic.

Terrible quality. I purchased a 14 k gold signet ring 2 months ago and literally within a month the plating was wearing off. If they're going to sell jewelry this cheaply made, they should price it as such. See pics for the wretched quality.

Bought gold 1.8 mm bracelet. I love it but would recommend just buying it in silver. After about a year the plating is gone and I'm just left with a silver bracelet. Other then that it's a great piece of jewelry.

I have purchased Miansai jewelry for my best friends birthday and she loved it. She loves gold and loves matching metals and was able to find a lot more of her staple and everyday pieces here!

I purchased some pieces for my fiancé to try and get him into jewelry and he actually loved it. The pieces are so durable and comfortable as well. I am definitely going to buy myself some as well! Perfect gift for both!

I had the worse experience with this vendor at their store in Abbott Kinney! After I BOUGHT a bracelet and while waiting for him to customize it, it happened that I touched a plier on the table. That sales person got all worked up about it and when I told him that I "won't eat it" he asked me leave the store. Unbelievable but real! The place reeked of weed anyways!

I've shopped here for over 5 years. The quality of the materials have gotten worse, the staff has gotten more rude, and the overall experience is horrible now. They do not answer the phone when you call - it goes straight to voicemail. The CS response when I emailed was that they are "busy" - makes no sense, the phone should at least ring. As a long time customer I would urge everyone to avoid shopping here. It pains me to say that it's simply not worth the trouble for gold plated jewelry that breaks and tarnishes even with the utmost care. Mr. Saiger should be ashamed of the way his business is run, and reading the other reviews on here, I see that I am not alone in my experience. This recent purchase will be my last, and that's only because it was monogrammed and I can't return it.

Despite the name, they no longer serve any tea at all, and say that section has been closed for quite some time now. Perhaps time to update the false advertising name so save those a wasted trip in vain?

I purchased a bracelet as a gift. Unfortunately it ended up being too small. When it arrived, I looked to exchange or return it. I ended up sending about 4-5 emails and tried chatting with a number of customer services representatives but to no avail. I was always met with an automated response and never got my order returned and exchanged. Had to buy a new one at full price without my coupon codes. I am more than disappointed in the company. Do not purchase from them.

I bought a ring and a cuff on Saturday that were supposed to arrive on Wednesday. On Wednesday they hadn't even shipped yet, so I sent a message to customer service. I get an automated response and minutes later my order shows as cancelled and refunded, even though I still see the charge on my credit card. Haven't heard a word since and there is no customer service number to call. For a jewelry store, that's an incredibly poor experience.

This is a horrible company for customer service. You think you're buying high end jewelry, but you end up with plated (even their sterling silver is often plated) metals that start to show discoloration quite quickly. This company takes your money and is great unless there is an issue! Ghost is an understatement of the poor response time. Rude, unprofessional, poor quality and ridiculously expensive for what you actually end up buying.

I purchased an expensive but obviously poorly made cuff in September of 2017. Approximately three months later, this so called malleable cuff snapped in two. I returned It to the store and was told that I could have another one just like it but I could not get a store credit. Unfortunately, the second one broke in the same manner. I have about 5 cuffs that are of similar design and none of them have ever snapped in two. I am very careful with jewelry and wore it no more than five times When I tried to return it, I was hoping to use the credit towards a different style of cuff that would hopefully be more durable. I was told by the less than sympathetic employee that this would not be possible. He gave me the option of paying to have it shipped to Florida after which I would be given an estimate for the repair that I would then need to pay. I was also offered a discount (30%) on another item. It is does not seem reasonable that a customer would need to pay for the repair of poor quality merchandise and that no other reasonable exchange policy would be honored. If I were you, I would avoid this business.

Simply bad service. Condescending and rude store clerks. Also, the brand does not seem to be delivering on the "value for money" front. Even though I have been a loyal customer for quite some time, I must admit that items are unbelievably overpriced and certainly of poor quality. The design is impeccable, but Miansai products show wear and tear way too quickly. I think the brand is trying to bank on people's perception of luxury, which is certainly supported by the really steep prices. On the customer experience side, there is more. For example, if you buy one of their watches, wait to find these $400 items wrapped in really cheap plastic bags piled up in a drawer somewhere. They do not even make the effort to make you believe you are actually buying something valuable. Really disappointing. Spend your money somewhere else.

I've been looking for a store that sales unique men's jewelry and came across your Los Angeles location a week ago while on vacation. Your store has some great pieces and it was difficult to make up my mind. The staff was beyond professional and helpful and I ended up purchasing 2 bracelets. I currently live in Philadelphia, so it was great to learn that you guys have a New York location. I will definitely be visiting your store to purchase more pieces.

I purchased a 14K solid gold necklace, not gold vermeil which is sterling silver coated with a thin layer of gold. After failing to locate the 14K hallmark and only a "925" - a hallmark for sterling silver, I took it back to the store and asked where I might find the 14K hallmark and if they might have a magnifying glass which could be helpful in locating it. The unfriendly, unenthusiastic clerk said that he was "confused" as to why I needed to see the 14K hallmark, and why I needed a magnifying glass! He then proceeded to defend the less than gold color of the necklace, saying that yellow gold is "tacky". Real gold, 24K, 18K, even 14K which is only 58.3% gold, are all supposed to be yellow! I wasn't intending on a refund but at that point, I asked for one, and I probably will not be purchasing any gold items from them again.

Surprisingly, this place serves excellent teas, including matcha. They have a small courtyard in the back where you can enjoy. I highly recommend getting a tea to go while you're shopping in Soho.

I purchased a leather bracelet for my son in August. It broke in October. Good customer service as far as returning it to the company to get it fixed. Unfortunately it broke again in December. For $85.00 it shouldn't be disposable jewelry! Nice looking VERY poor quality!

I was so happy to have stumbled upon the actual STORE! I think that is one of my favorite things about SOHO you never know what you are going to find and Miansai is a real GEM! The shop is so well curated with no detail missed they even have a tea bar! What I appreciated even beyond the look of the store is how attentive the staff is. Everyone there is smiling and genuinely wants to help you no matter how pieces you want to try on. Victoria was the manager working and introduced herself and the brand to us. It was such a shock to hear these pieces are made in MIAMI. I look forward to going back and getting another cuff soon. great place for holiday gifts too....

I didn't purchase any jewelry (yet) because the piece I want wasn't in stock but I've been told there will be a restocking of it soon. A very cool place, with a cool vibe, in the SoHo area. Unlike other places nearby, they have their own coffee/tea bar. Any day I have a reason to not give Starbucks my money, instead a local spot, is a good day to me. The staff is great, especially Alex, who helped me out tremendously during my visit. Can't wait to return and get the necklace I've been eyeing.

It is such a displeasure for me to write anything negative about anything or anyone. I do not do it very often, almost never. However, I am hoping Mainsai will read this and get back to me! I contacted the company for a bracelet I lost the top bar of. They immediately got back to me and were very helpful. However, I sent a bracelet in for repair and have not heard one word (after sending many emails for updates on my repair)! Not only that, I sent my credit card info along with it for the $30 repair cost. I am a big fan of the bracelets, but this far I would give a negative rating if it were possible. I have literally sent over 10 emails asking for status updates on my repair and have not got one response!!! Please contact me ! I want my bracelet back! EVEN IF YOU HAVE NOT REPAIRED IT!

YOOOOOO, I had to write this review because of how awesome the team was. I've purchased about 3 bracelets now here various anniversary and Christmas gifts, and have never had seen my boyfriend more ecstatic! The ability to customize the leather and metal provides really personal options, there are also a ton of selections for higher quality metals for special occasions. I love the team here special shout out to Anthony and the team you guys are truly the best and we will keep coming back for that reason! Also try the teas, they're some of the best I've had in NYC!

Cool pieces, but my necklace just broke for the second time in 2 months after having just gotten it in December!

To reiterate some of the previous reviews, the customer service here is non existent. I have sent numerous emails to the "customer service team" that go unanswered. My bracelet broke within 3 months and I was told to send it to the repairs team and would receive the fixed bracelet in 1-2 weeks. It's been about a month since I sent it and there's no sign of my fixed bracelet and I can't get a response from anyone in customer service. The only way to contact them is email and the store refuses to help. I'm so fed up with this company. How do you run a place that doesn't care about its customers and doesn't help when there are issues with the products? I feel like I got scammed.

I purchased a necklace and pendant and the pendant is different color then the necklace. I requested to change the pendant because it looks like it's for the leas expensive necklace. They responded with exchange it. When I went to ghe website I can't. I sent a picture and several emails and had no response. At least communicate with your customers. Just asking to make it right. Especially if you pay for what we get. Wasn't cheap.

Purchased the screw bar cuff. Unscrewed way too easily, and was lost. Also purchased the fish hook key chain. It too unscrewed way too easily and was lost. Poor design

Miansai's jewelry is dope. And the TEA. What a treat!! You gotta stop in for a cup. Their variety and quality of teas are unsurpassed; the folks who prepare it for you are always super helpful. I've loved everything I've tried. And the store vibe is an awesome oasis of chill in the midst of our hectic city. Iced teas to refresh you in summer ... hot teas to keep you cozy the rest of the time ... kombucha because it's always right ... matcha keeping things exciting ... what more could you want? A backyard to chill in while you sip your beverage? They have that too!! P.S. - Thank you so much, Alex, for guiding me toward the Spicy Ginger Mate this morning! It's absolutely perfect :)

My girlfriend got me a bracelet from here this past summer, and it broke a few months afterwards. Disappointed, I went to the store just to see if there was some kind of repair service they could do. Lenard took a look and realized the bracelet was at the point of no return. Without hesitating, he reached into the drawer and found the same make/model as my broken one. Didn't charge me a dime either. Unbelievable! Typically their warranty policy only covers the first 30 days, but these guys made an exception. I couldn't believe how nice they were. Definitely going back soon to buy something new - love everything they have!

Store clerks have a bad attitude. Products are very overpriced for the quality, and the web/store businesses are not synched. If a bracelet ordered online breaks, you cannot get customer service in the store. Customer service online is spotty at best. Have had two bracelets now and they have both broken within a year in one case, within days in another.

Everyone was very helpful. I wasn't sure on which material to get but the sales person was very knowledgeable and I'm glad I went in the store. The service is top notch and the tea bar adds something extra to the space.

Such a cute little place. I love cafes and tea houses tucked away in apparel and jewelry stores. The staff was really nice and walked me though all the options. Tea was really refreshing but for real.... $4 for almost 100% ice water?

I'm so disappointed. I'm a stylist and used to rave about Miansai after finding their designs in the Hamptons. I bought at least 5 pieces along with a watch. After a few months the watch broke and I went into the soho store. The sale associate was so unhelpful and didn't really care about any questions I had AT ALL. Totally blew me off. So I called the customer service number and they were closed, no answer during their day time hours. So, then I emailed and finally received a response - that I could mail the watch to what seems to be a personal condo address in Miami (I'm from Florida). Sad. Disappointed.

I love Miansai as a brand and everything they make. I was actually browsing for a gift to give my dad and found the perfect cuff. Their pieces are so beautiful I ended up getting a ring myself! The store is just gorgeous and there is so much detail that goes into it. Not to mention a tea bar. Miansai Crosby is a joy to visit, can't wait to go back!

This place is great! They have excellent kombucha on draft and a great selection of teas, along with an awesome backyard outdoor space. Their jewelry and leather products are also beautiful!

I have just had the worst experience of my life. I was told I couldn't get a replacement part for my bracelet because I didn't have a receipt. The bracelet was a gift. Of course I don't have a receipt. So instead I was given a 15% off credit to buy a NEW ONE. Really? I was even willing to PAY for a new part. Honestly, I'm blown away by the lack of customer service. Thanks for making it really easy to never shop here and make sure my friends never shop here again.

I absolutely love Miansai designs; however, the customer service, shipping costs, and the fact you don't have an option to send something as a gift is just outrageous. Their cuffs are awesome but they need to clean up their acts in the service department. I have ordered three of their bracelets and now I'm feeling a bit done.

While Miansai may make beautiful pieces, their abysmal customer service makes them not worth the hassle. Multiple pieces have been purchased through retailers like Nordstrom & Barneys in addition to Miansai directly. However, my current order has completely soured me on the company. I ordered a bracelet as a birthday present I needed this weekend. The order stated it would arrive on 07/12/18, but on 07/11 still had not received a shipping notification and their site showed it was still "Unfulfilled". I sent an email requesting a status update. No response. I sent another email request on 07/12, also with no response. I called customer service and left a voicemail. No response. The item did not arrive on 07/12 and I finally received a generic email stating my order had shipped and would arrive on 07/16. This means that the birthday gift will miss the birthday. I will now go and purchase a gift from another maker and return the Miansai bracelet when it shows up. They will never get another cent from me.

Alex the new manager is SoHo was awesome. Replaced the damaged bracelet and apologized for the issue.

I am obsessed with this store. The jewelry is so cute and the staff is super helpful. I went in randomly and ended up getting a couple super cute pieces. The store manager was so accommodating and checked on my friend and I the whole time. Loved it!!!

One star is very generous for the customer service I've gotten through Miansai.com. I ordered a watch with engraving as an anniversary gift and it came late without the engraving done and a defect in the watch. I emailed customer service quite a few times to get a shipping label to send it back for the engraving. 3 weeks go by and I still don't hear anything. I've never experienced such appalling service as I have with this company. You're better off supporting a company who actually values its customers. Needless to say, I will never purchase anything from them again.

Love the layout of this cozy store + tea bar, the customer service was pretty good, I will definitely be back to purchase more pieces, the only thing I would note is the sales people being a bit more knowledgeable on the products. My friend and I both bought jewelry but had to ask a few different sales people to get the answers to our questions.

Been a big fan of Miansai for a while and every time I visit the store they provide exceptional service in a lovely store environment. Own quite a few pieces and Jon in SoHo just helped me solve an issue - thank you so much! You should all go shop with him!
