The “ Flan” at Mia’s Bakery is excellent . Being Hispanic I had my shares of Flan and this is absolutely fantastic. I had the cold brew coffee and it’s up there in quality. The staff is great . The bathrooms are super clean . They have plenty of lot parking for free . The prices are medium range and fair for the quality . They have indoor seating and outdoor seating , so you have the best of both worlds .

Absolutely incredible!!!! I had the chance to try the banana cream pie, the carrot cake and the red velvet cake. All were delicious however the cream cheese frosting on the red velvet was absolutely amazing!!!! Will definitely order again.

The Greek Panna Cotta and chocolate chip cookies are my favorites here. I have returned two additional times to get the Greek Panna Cotta. Best Panna Cotta I have ever had! The chocolate chip cookie was nice and moist the first time I got it. The second time it was dry. I will definitely try it again since it was so good the first time. Stay away from the cupcakes. Very dry. I tried three flavors and I didn't like any of them. My friend ordered the strawberry shortcake and enjoyed it. She also ordered the blueberry cheesecake and said it was "fair and not worth the calories."🤷🏾‍♀️

Pistachio croissant is amazing. It’s like a cream puff which is full of pistachio cream. Just one bite, the cream oozed out. The cream tastes very nutty and fresh. I love the pistachio glaze on top as well. The croissant part is flaky and not greasy. The iced coffee is too watery. It’s a little too noisy inside the shop, the background music could be louder to balance out people’s voice.

It's not terrible! We got a cake pop, baklava, and fruit tart. The cake pop had a raw flour taste to it, like it was under cooked. We know that cake pops are a doughy mixture of cooked cake and frosting, but this cake pop tasted slightly raw somehow. The fruit tart was good. It had enough fruit and plenty of pastry cream. The baklava is excellent. It has a lot of pistachios! It could use a bit more syrup, but that's a personal preference because I like my baklava to drip in syrup! Soaked through though. I recommend trying that one for sure. The prices aren't too bad. Slightly steep, but where isn't it now a days. The location is clean and way to access. I will be back!

It was a little chaotic behind the counter but I ordered a latte and a chicken Caesar wrap and I’ve never had better of either in my life. The display case as full of delicious treats and my mouth watered while I waited. I happened to be waiting for a while because there was a mix up with my latte but otherwise the experience was impeccable and I would highly recommend!

We stumbled upon this place after walking on a nearby trail. It was bustling with people and it seems like they're still in their soft opening period. We were able to peruse their options while waiting in line to order. We tried the red velvet cake, orange cake, apple crumble tart, lemon raspberry tart, and chocolate babka. Overall I would say that most things were good, but the only item I really liked was the lemon raspberry tart -- crisp crust, tart filling, and plentiful raspberries. Everything else I think I would prefer to get at another bakery. Overall it's a nice place and I'm sure they'll be a successful business!

Google
A nyc bakery without rainbow sprinkle butter/sugar cookies? But they did have delicious black and whites and great location across from an amazing book store

Yelp
Had the lava cake; initially it was really tough, but then I asked the staff to reheat it and it was quite good, typical gooey in the middle with a slightly tougher exterior. I do think they try to do too much; multiple cake types, macarons, various breads and cupcakes. For that price, if they edit out some stuff, they could get more focused and become more consistent. I would have liked to try out some other stuff, but the pricing was prohibitive. Staff was quite friendly; however the insides were so bright and the walls were so abundantly colorful, it was all a bit distracting.

Yelp
Wish I could give this place zero stars. Mediocre, overpriced pastries and slow service. Came to get a dozen cupcakes to go, and an iced drink. 30 min later, the drink came out incorrectly.

Yelp
I am writing this review having only been here one time. I noticed that they have a nice seating area here so decided to come for a snack and to get some work done. Would definitely recommend if you work from home or are a student. Not too noisy and comfortable seats. They have a huge selection of bakery items. A ton of options and i noticed a food menu as well. The vanilla cake pop was really good almost like an elevated version of the Starbucks one. Cute that they have those, don't see cake pops at many coffee shops/bakeries. I had a good experience here but have heard mixed reviews from others.

Yelp
Came again today for the flan ! That is really good flan they have . Being Hispanic and growing up eating that and still doing so in my adult life . I can say their flan is a banger . That means it's good ! The place is super clean including the bathrooms . The staff is super friendly. The service is good and the staff is attentive.

Yelp
Honestly, the bakery is very pretty and in a very popular Chestnut Hill mall. Service was a little slow and lacked enthusiasm. The items were displayed very pretty and they were very pricey. The cakes we got were large chocolate cake, and the carrot cake. Both cakes were good, but not great to be honest. I like that they weren't overly sweet, but it felt they with something you can get in any commercial bakery like in a supermarket. I didn't really feel that there was anything special about them other than they look pretty. No one could tell me if they use fresh ingredients what type of flour, etc. but seeing that was my first time I'm willing to go back and try something else like like a macaron.

Meredith A.

Yelp
I came in again today and had a nice, smooth ordering experience. I decided to try the orange cake and it was delicious!

Michelle B.

Yelp
The cappuccino was lukewarm and too milky, the molasses cookie was stale, and the service was lackluster.

Maritza G.

Yelp
Terrible Customer service skills- truly lack customer service skills. Their cakes are stale and they say they are always fresh. Same cakes left out all night are the same cakes served the next day!

Kelly F.

Yelp
I'm reviewing Hingham location. Assuming it's a chain. Cupcakes are about $4 each. They're mediocre and overpriced. I would go as far to say the salted caramel is terrible. Stale cake with a hint of lemon flavor and the frosting was gross. In fact there was nothing salted caramel about it. The nutella one was more edible but I would assume it would have a hazelnut filling or topping. Just chocolate cupcake with a chocolate frosting and maybe a half teaspoon of a chocolate substance in the middle. Literally no Nutella. I bought 4 cupcakes. Complete waste of money. Drive to cupcake Charlie's instead or even the bakery section of whole food or market basket. They look a lot better than they taste. I would pass on this "bakery".

Yelp
I found Mia's after my usual place couldn't take my order--I forgot to order a cake at my usual spot on a Saturday--since they were closed on Sunday, and on Memorial Day, when I finally called to order they were too swamped to take a customer cake order! I called 3 other local bakeries and was turned down. Mia's was the ONLY one in the area willing to take my order. They were so helpful and kind over the phone, and asked me to email a photo of what I wanted. I am definitely not blown away by the decoration--has a very homemade look. I would return for a "grown up" cake for a celebration anytime. Cake was so fresh and buttercream not too sweet.

Yelp
Stopped by because.....why not? It's a bakery. Love to look. So many pastries, macarons, cake, etc. Everyting looked amazing. I decided on two pieces of cake to go. One of the friendly employees asked if I was ready to order. I told her it was my first time visiting and I wanted to hear about the cake slices- any recommendations? She was very knowledgeable and took the time to point out both her favorites and popular items. She detailed all the fillings and flavors. I ended up with a slice of chocolate mousse cake and a chocolate cherry cake. I enjoyed both slices over the course of a few days- they were very large. Delicious- good recommendations. I will definitely be back to try some other items but I can recommend the cake. There were some tables and chairs for in- bakery dining. They have whole cakes and make custom cakes for every occasion. They've been open less than a year. I might not have stopped in if I had read some other reviews first; glad I tried the cake myself. It's worth checking out.

Yelp
I had dinner plans next door at Bianca and had some time to kill before my friends arrived, so I popped in to get some treats. They had a huge display case with a lot of treats that looked great, but I opted for a small cannoli and a few macaron. The person behind the register looked actively annoyed that I was there and gave me very halting reponses to my questions. I had to list the macaron flavors I wanted a few times before she got what I wanted. It was pricey but I was expecting it to be: add the word "Brooklyn" to the title and you can mark up your prices at least 15%. The service is 3 stars, but I really enjoyed the macaron so they get bumped to 4.

Yelp
First time, I really really did want to love it... but the layer between the crème are soggy.... And the cake itself is $8-9... and the employee told me this is the best selling item... you literally had to pull the cake apart... napoleon supposed to be crunchy by the layers... too bad. Tho the employees here are nice and friendly tho.

Susan C.

Yelp
Beautiful store, bakery items were ok (cupcake was dry). Would only come back for beverages.

Jessie H.

Yelp
Could be worse. It's a nice cafe location in a busy shopping area. I tried some cookies and the chocolate cream pie. It was fine, passable, but nothing that deserves a repeat. The quality is not great, probably created in the same corporate kitchen as a grocery store. The food has no point of view; there is seemingly no chef behind this - just another mediocre corporate bakery,

Nissa N.

Yelp
I'll start with what was good here, the tres leches was good. The cupcakes taste pretty...refrigerated and blah. Sorry. Whose idea was it to put refrigerated cupcakes with hardened icing in a bakery case where people are expecting to purchase fresh baked goods? I'm pretty sure stop and shop has better, fresher cupcakes. Nothing else I've tried here has been good and service is blah. Takes a second to get the attention of the servers. It's the perfect location so I hope they up their game and I will then update my review.

Yelp
This is for SEAPORT location as I did not find them on Yelp! Cupcakes were beyond sub-par. I haven't had a grocery store cupcake in a while but last I remember they were more palatable. Got 2 cupcakes could not have more than one bite. Banana pudding was NOT banana pudding but some super heavy wayyy too sugary, very dense banana flavored desert. Also, it had this green garnish on top that tasted like wax. Honestly one of the worst bakeries to come across. Bakery is a stretch. Of note, the Seaport location does not bake on site but rather gets shipments from the Chestnut Hill location every 3-4days. (Oh how fresh the deserts must taste!) Kourabides were ok. Service was good. Ambiance was good.

Andreas S.

Yelp
Disappointed with this bakery - prices are high, and my Nutella croissant had no Nutella! The slow service added to the letdown. Giving it 2 stars for the overall underwhelming experience.

Quoc-Dien T.

Yelp
The sweet offerings are great but I would stay away from breakfast here. Avocado toast was very bland. Generally expensive but as expected in this area.

Lani P.

Yelp
Way too sweet to the point of distracting from flavor. Also, they gave me the wrong slice of pie.

Milan W.

Yelp
We stopped by for coffee and dessert after having dinner at a nearby restaurant. We sampled a bunch of things - strawberry short cake, flan, chocolate blackout cake, cannoli and baklava. Everything was good! Will definitely come back.

Mike M.

Yelp
Eclair (vanilla) to go. I am a life-long eclair taster, so I only needed this one item to pass judgement. This one had a center with good creme taste with no wax-on-tongue, though it was whipped so it didn't have luxurious mouth-feel. The choux was not fresh but not stale yet. The chocolate ganache coating was quite good. My poor rating for the bakery stems from size and cost. The darned eclair was only 3 bites in size for me, though more polite people might get four. The cost was incredible at $7.22 (3/2024). The price is not marked near the product, and who wants to be paranoid when selecting a treat?

Yelp
My wife and I wanted some sweets and saw the bakery (and that is was quite busy) so I didn't bother to look at the Yelp reviews. I ordered a molasses cookie and "throw everything but the kitchen" sink (my description not theirs) and my wife had a cupcake. The cookie was the best and gave it 3 stars (not much of a molasses flavor). The brownie seemed to something they bought at a 7-11 store for 99 cents. And the toppings were plentiful on the brownie but didn't seem to offer flavor (maybe too many of them). The cupcake had an initial nice taste but then turned into a Crisco lard flavor. Too much of something of the wrong thing! The cost for three items was almost $20 with tip. Yikes. They have potential to be a good bakery but definitely need help in developing the taste of the product. The many negative reviews confirms this.

Michael F.

Yelp
Strawberry shortcake is dry with only a few sliver of sliced strawberries inside. I requested writing on top not knowing the cake top would be altered. The strawberries were switched to smaller strawberry halves, different frosting to patch the holes and chocolate syrup for the writing. Very disappointed!

Julie H.

Yelp
I REALLY wanted to like this place. REALLY. I have given them more than a few chances, since they're new on the street.... but they are just AWFUL. Do they have an amazing chocolate cake? Yes. Are the cookies tasty. Also yes. But waiting for a sandwich takes almost 25 minutes. Only one of the doors is unlocked at all times, which is such a hazard. The manager seems incapable of understanding any business transactions or willing to collaborate with other businesses on the street. Majority of the orders come out incorrectly. I wanted to pay with cash and was told no because they did not have any change. Why is the coffee so expensive? What a total disappointment. Being born and raised in Brooklyn and now living in Chestnut Hill- this place is a total nightmare.

Yelp
Hate to be the first one but places like this do need to be highlighted. Have tried 3 things so far and every one of them has been terrible to mediocre but for sure all of them have been overpriced. Got a cake pop which was totally raw dough inside and incredibly sweet it tasted like something you found on the ground. Cupcake was dry and stale and small. The frosting was incredibly sweet. Clearly it had been sitting around for days. Tried the babka for kicks same issue probably sitting out for 2-3 days before being served. Checked out the menu and saw a latte will cost you 6.75. The whole situation is a mess and chatoic service is a 0 bc there is no service. This place needs to go back to Brooklyn where it came from. We don't want this overpriced bs here. No thank you

Jackie H.

Yelp
I tried to give this place a try but every time it seems to get worse. Today the bacon was raw in the blt and it was inedible. The Nutella croissant does not have Nutella in it and I am not sure what it was. I have not tried the cakes so perhaps they are decent.

Carsyn Elizabeth T.

Yelp
The opposite of a relaxing cafe. The staff was so confused and this place is a hot mess. Super pricey as well

Rashmi S.

Yelp
The location is great. The staff is very helpful. The spread is amazing, but the flavors were a miss. The filling was too much in the croissant and the eclair spoiling the texture. The butter croissant was good and well-priced. The bread was decent.

M N.

Yelp
We waited a looooong time for this place open and it has not lived up to expectations. The staff and service is OK. I have nothing to complain about there. The quality of the food is well below most other bakeries. I've tried several items and the only one I'd get again is the Chocolate fudge cake. But then again I can get the same quality cake at the grocery store. The brownie was quite possibly the most disappointing brownie on earth. It was no more than a dry piece of chocolate pound cake. Their lucky that the location is great otherwise they'd be out of business...

Pete B.

Yelp
No management, complete shit-show. Avoid unless you've got 30 minutes or more to kill ordering pastry

Tina J.

Yelp
Confused by the number of negative reviews here. I wouldn't be scared away by that. We got cake pops, muffins and macarons and everything was very good. Huge selection and nice staff. Certainly not the best bakery I've ever been to, but definitely worth an afternoon stop if you're in the area.

Rozzie M.

Yelp
Ordered blueberry pie and a cupcake to go. Unwrapped at home to find a blueberry tart and a very beaten up cupcake which tasted like sawdust. Reached out about the order problem and never heard back.

lino e.

Yelp
What is with the cake to frosting ratio on this slice of carrot cake? Gross. For an $8 slice of cake, I was expecting a lot better. Took one bite and threw the rest out.

Victoria S.

Yelp
I was super excited to see a new bakery on The Street. Unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype I had. There isn't any welcoming feeling and the staff didn't look happy to see customers. The cashiers didn't greet and didn't try to offer help. The one with glasses was rude to a customer when she asked for some help. Aside from the service/first impression I purchased 3 items: a cannoli which was awful, the filling was pooling out NOT in a good way. Tasted overwhelmingly like lemon and was too thin of a consistency. A Ciprani cake which looked beautiful with the layers of feeling but it had no flavor. Didn't even finish it because it was grainy. Chocolate cake pop for my toddler who loves cake pops, but she didn't even want to finish it after the first bite. She said it didn't taste good Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place! If it wasn't for the location I don't think this place would last. The bakery is beautiful inside but the staff seem unhappy and disorganized.

Sarah L.

Yelp
The chocolate chip cookies are some of the best I've had in Boston, super soft center with almost a caramel like crisp on the outer edges. We stop in almost every morning

J S.

Yelp
Bad first experience. Long wait. Ordered a vegetarian sandwich to go and when got home found out they put meat in it. Key lime tart poor quality.

Robert Y.

Yelp
We've tried this a few times excited that something was filling this gap on The Street. Sadly, we've been super underwhelmed with the food. Service is great and everyone is nice but the flow is not obvious with customers confused where to order. More than anything, though, the tarts, cookies, and other pastries are very mediocre. Prices are high but even if they were half off, I would pass.

Karen B.

Yelp
Hingham location. Bought 1/2 dozen small cupcakes of various flavors. They were hard and tasteless. Wasted 25.00.

Diane K.

Yelp
food looked beautiful. ordered a spinach/feta pastry for lunch. Was asked if I would like it heated up. Even after 4 (!) tries they could not manage to heat it up past room temperature. Coffee was also tepid.

Nicole L.

Yelp
I paid 22 dollars total here for an iced americano and savory waffle plate. The first and arguably most pressing issue is that my server gave me iced coffee with water in it instead of an Americano and it was absolutely disgusting. I only realized as I was leaving and didn't have time to dispute this otherwise I would have absolutely asked for my money back. To make matters worse, upon getting to my destination and eating my meal I found out it was exactly one fried egg, one strip of bacon and half a waffle. The food itself was bland and flavorless with the exception of the waffle that was overwhelmingly sweet and cakey. I'd expected different from someone with "savory" in its name. Needless to say, it was an incredibly disappointing visit. I'm frustrated I tried to give this place another chance after all my coworkers in the area have warned me this place is lacking and it really set the tone for my entire day. Their sweets are fine but generally not worth it stopping by - there are a dozen other beautiful bakeries in the area with better coffee, service, and food.

Julia M.

Yelp
Mediocre coffee and the Nutella croissant had way too much filling that I don't think was actually Nutella

R r.

Yelp
Found this place gave it a try I was impressed with the atmosphere it was casual. My girl had a lobster roll and she was in heaven, not sicking sweet. Coffee was hot and good, nothing beats a good cup of coffee in my book. We were taken care of right away and they answered all of our questions right away. Over all a nice European style bakery. I will return

Jayne B.

Yelp
A friend and I went to Mia's for a lite afternoon treat. The bakery display was incredible and the staff were so helpful. We both had the sugar free chocolate pudding which was absolutely delicious , light and did not taste sugar free. The service was great as well. Nice to have such a sweet spot at The Street!

Lisset F.

Yelp
Tiene mucha variedad de postres unos bizcochos deliciosos y muy buen servicio y el ambiente es sano y muy confortable me gusta

Zoi L.

Yelp
Such a lovely place. I ordered a salted caramel cupcake and I also tried New York style cheesecake it was divine! The service was very helpful and friendly! Definitely going back.

Gail M.

Yelp
Been to this bakery brand twice. Once in Seaport, once in Hingham. Everything in cases always looks great, but I think the prices are high. I got two cupcakes yesterday (both were on small side and I think they were $3.75 each). The vanilla one I got was very stale tasting as far as the cake part went, and the frosting was very hard and tough. I'm guessing the cupcakes are frozen and that's why the frosting was so hard? The frosting on the salted caramel one wasn't as hard and tough, but the cake part was the same as on the other one, dry and stale tasting. You can do far better. Places like Magnolia Bakery can serve a fresh-tasting cupcake -- one that doesn't taste like it's been sitting there and frozen -- so you can do it too! I wish this new bakery well and hope they can get better reviews soon, since several are not good. White's that was in the location before them served much fresher food. You can do this and I hope it works out for you!

E B L.

Yelp
I was expecting better, and was sorely disappointed. The staff was helpful but that is where the positive ends. Having worked across the street from Juniors in Brooklyn, I was thinking 'fresh NY Cheesecake'. However, the cheesecake didn't look like NY cheesecake and the staff confirmed that it wasn't. So we tried one of the surefire barometers of a good bakery, the chocolate cake. The cake was dry, bordering on stale, and the over abundance of sweet chocolate frosting didn't help. Entenmann's fudge cake would have been better. Finally, we bought one of the 'Napoleons'. The whipped cream was good, but that is where I have to stop. What I expected (for the location and price) was nothing like what we got. What was supposed to be a fruit napoleon had one blueberry, two tiny bits of strawberry and one blackberry in the 2/3 that I ate. The pastry was so tough that I had to get a serrated knife to cut through it. The European in the North End or Medford does a much better Italian version than this. Want a really good cake? Make the trek to Konditermeister in Braintree...never disappointing.
