I just had lunch there and my chicken fried steak was inedible and small. Here is today’s meal vs 2020. The chicken fried steak use to take over most of the plate. I basically paid for $43 plus tip for sides. I couldn’t eat the rest and left very unsatisfied. I couldn’t leave fast enough. This use to be my go to for my chicken fried steak fix. Mash potatoes were good and onion rings were good. Need find a new one 🥲

Really happy with the food. Prices on the menu have increased by 0.50-$1.25 since the last Google maps post. Too busy during lunch so had to be outside in 93F Houston heat. Will come again not during lunch rush. Don’t forget to get your free cone on the way out the door!

Had lunch with a coworker this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the flavor of the food. I ordered the half baked chicken, baked beans and Mac n cheese. The chicken was pretty good...the baked beans were amazing and had tons of flavor and the Mac and Cheese was great! I would suggest this for a quick bite. Atmosphere is quiet and comforting.

Great selection of food, all American style meals like fried chicken, ribs, chicken fried steak and milkshakes. Very good customer service too. Ordering is easy, prices are a little higher than other places but the quality of food and speed of service makes up for that. This place is always busy but does a great job keeping the business flowing. Pictured here are the baby back ribs with Mac-n-cheese and green beans + fried pickle chips for an appetizer. Ribs were very good and meat fell off the bone. 5 stars will always be back

Food was great, service was great. Roast chicken very dry but the replaced it immediately. I know they have a green space and encourage kids playing...but put down the wine and at least check on your kids. It's like a zoo.

Great place! My first time eating here and I was quite hungry. I saw my plate was completely empty before I realized I'd forgotten to take photos of the food. Anyhow, I got the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and mac-n-cheese. The mac was really good and so was everything else. I tasted my daughters chicken fried chicken which was also very good and my other daughter loved the cheeseburger. I'd also like to mention that they offer free soft serve at the end of the meal and the prices were pretty good. Enjoy!

Went for a work lunch and we all enjoyed this place and will be returning. What we ordered : Chicken fried chicken Bison Burger Patty Melt Asian chicken salad Steak Salad Beef street tacos I love their steak salad! But it is spinach base so I mix romaine and even just spinach alone is super tasty. Service is great and attentive. You order, get a number, food is brought to your table. I have ordered curbside & they are great with having food on time. Interior is spacious and clean nice ambience.

I visit this location with some friends and had a great time. The staff kept checking in on us and making sure everything was okay. Though my friend received his food significantly later than us, we still had a good time. The food was simply amazing. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and it was one of the best I've had in long time. Definitely recommend. We also shared the chip and queso, which we demolished in seconds. I also had the banana pudding which was decent. It was a little thick but it was still palatable. Definitely recommend

I've swung by here on several occasions to hang out with friends, and it's just a great place to grab a bite to eat, especially when you've got family members (read: children) in tow and you need to keep them happy and occupied. The ordering area is much larger than I've seen at their other locations (probably double the size of the Kirby spot), but they do a pretty good job of keeping it moving. It looked like they had about four registers opened, which was good for keeping the crowd moving. You order at the counter and pick up the food at another counter, but they do have waitstaff to assist you with whatever you need. Drinks are self-service as well, making the waiters a bit redundant at times. My only complaint here is that the food sometimes gets cold very quickly, like they had it sitting and cooling too long before they served it. I've never had a problem with the burgers and sandwiches, but my wife had the red snapper tacos, which came out lukewarm and were cold by the time she got to the second taco.

Southern style food that's made right. Service and atmosphere: Both outstanding. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant itself was clean, well organised and decorated. You can definitely feel the southern hospitality and charm here, especially now with Christmas holidays upon us. Food and drinks: Menu is well designed which helps you make your choices easy. There are many different types of foods and dishes to choose from, i.e.: sandwiches, plates with sides, salads, soups etc. Our dishes came on time and were well prepared, presented, and most importantly tasted very good. Their seasoning and flavours were on point. The menu offers both nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages. Pricing: $$ very affordable and worth the quality.

I was in the mood for some comfort food and this place definitely hit the spot! Their chicken fried chicken never disappoints. It's their claim to fame dish (along with the chicken fried steak). I got the meatloaf with creamed corn and mashed potatoes. Giving me all the "homey" vibes. Baked beans are a bit sweet, but loaded with flavors. The Ro Ro Onion rings were good, however, I didn't care for the dipping sauce it came with. Too tangy! I'm not a kid, but I sure took advantage of the free ice cream! :) Service was wonderful. Servers came around asking if everything was okay and once they see you're done, they ask to take the plates. There's plenty of outdoor seating and play area for kids. This restaurant has shared parking with Torchy's Tacos, and Kirby Ice House. Very busy area, especially during the weekends.

This place is convenient- has plenty of space and the food is good. Is a place to go when you don't know what to eat and want to go eat and go home quickly.

A very impressive operation! You order at the walk up counter service then they bring to your table. Prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. We had a group and they happily put tables together for us. Even though it was busy, the wait for food was not very long. They also have outdoor seating. This is a great place to come with family or team members from your office. Now as for the food I had the red snapper fish tacos. They were seasoned just right not too salty and I really enjoyed the chips and queso that came with. Team members tried the steak, grilled chicken sandwich, and chicken fried steak. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

Nachos seriously cold Hamburger very cold and no taste Fries were cold. I sent the fries back because I ate that before the burger. When I bit into to the burger and saw it was cold as well I was floored. This was a waste of $33. Horrible service. People barely could understand what we were asking. I won't be back! It is very crowded and we didn't understand why.

I met my friends at this location with the littles. I loved the fact that they had a play area for the kids, which allowed us to eat while the kids played together. The sandwich was good and I am glad that I asked for the sauce on the side. I enjoyed the sweet potato fries. I got the Mac and cheese with a side of fruits for the kids. They enjoyed the fruits more than the Mac and cheese. I will definitely go back.

This place has been pretty great, when it's hard to decide what to eat. Priced well and most of the meal have a great taste. I can't say they are the healthiest , but better the fast food.

This was our first time eating at Mia's Table. My friend and I both got the margaritas. We tried both flavors and they were really good. We also had the trio sampler and everything was delicious! The service was great. An overall great family friendly establishment.

While visiting Houston, my husband wanted chicken fried steak and they certainly have it! We came for a weekday lunch and it was busy! But service is fast, efficient, and friendly!. You order at counter but then the food is brought to you. We ordered the onion rings (crispy, huge, crunchy) and the country fried steak with 2 sides. Mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery. Green beans were fresh with a nice structure. Then to top off a great meal, they have a free soft serve ice cream machine. And it's the nice creamy texture. Not the cheap, icy kind. Definitely a go-to for the next time we're in Houston.

Small group of three of us needed a place to sit down and eat and talk. Britt pulled up the menu to Mia's and it sounded good so gave it a try. Interesting concept. You walk in and order at the counter and then go grab a table with a transponder and your food finds you. You grab your drinks as you order. Accepting the challenge since I was entertaining a key customer and a division manager from my largest dealer I order a "tri appetizer" to come out first and then our meals. The appetizer had wings, onion rings and fried pickles. It was delicious and to my great surprise with this format it was brought out first and extremely timely. Shocked and it was delicious. I had the Asian Salad with Salmon, there was a cheeseburger with fries and meatloaf with potatoes and gravy and a side of banana pudding. They also had "real" bottled Dr Pepper with cane sugar and was clean unlike the typical mess they try to pawn off as Dr Pepper. They also have an ice cream machine with vanilla ice cream on the way out the door. Yea I hit that! No shame I had the salad. The food found us and looked and tasted very good. Since all the plates were cleaned I would say it was all very good. Plenty of parking around the building and in the parking lots. Unique decor, bright, retro, and a playground type structure outside. Only complaint were refills. I tipped expecting this to be like the typical Texas bbq place format where someone is walking around topping off drinks. Not here. The folks are strictly bringing food and bussing tables. Once you know this it is an easy workaround.

After church my wifey was hungry so of course we go out to eat. My first time at Mia's Table but my friends love this place. You walk up to a counter to place your order and they bring your food to your table. I was told the burgers were good, so I ordered the Hickory burger and it did not disappoint! I enjoyed it, but then upon seeing how amazing my wife's chicken fried steak looked, I realized I made a mistake. There are a bunch of places I can get a good burger, but I do not know of many that serve chicken fried steak with jalapeño gravy. I will be back soon to fix my mistake. One thing about Mia's...the food is always gonna be good!!! Also, this is the perfect place for families! They outside area, which is a shared space with another restaurant, is absolutely perfect!! My kids loved the play area! It's so convenient when restaurants have spaces like this! I had the grilled chicken sandwich and my oh my!! It was spectacular!!! However, i didn't get the sauce that comes on it. My husband enjoys their fried catfish! The only issue we had was my daughters fruit bowl....the blueberries were all bad! But they had no problem replacing them with fresh ones! The service was friendly and we enjoyed our meal. I will definitely be back soon!

We were there to celebrate a birthday. You order at the counter. They allowed me to order from the kid's menu. I had a grilled cheese sandwich with a cup of fruit. They bring your orders to the table. Staff went above and beyond. We were at least 20 folks. We were given a knife to cut a cake and boxes to go as there was plenty of cake left. There are self-serve ice cream cones for everyone. I got a little bit to mix with cake. It was delicious. My grilled cheese was ok. I don't think it's grilled. It's just cheese on toast. There's plenty of free parking. I recommend this place to celebrate a birthday. You don't have trouble asking for separate checks and you don't feel rushed.

Mia's Table, a family-friendly restaurant from the Johnny Carrabba family, offers casual comfort food in the Memorial/Spring Branch area, located on Gessner, north of I-10. We called ahead and spoke to Yesi, requesting a reserved table for nine since we had a guest with us. For starters, we ordered the Triple Play, which includes wings, onion rings, and fried pickles, along with Dee Dee's Queso Dip and tortilla chips. For the main course, we had a variety of dishes. The pork chops, though a bit tough, seemed smaller than the advertised six ounces and lacked flavor. The bacon burger was enjoyable, the fried shrimp were tasty, and the turkey burger was good with all the toppings. The kids opted for macaroni and cheese and chicken tenders, which would have been even better with some gravy. Unfortunately, the ice cream machine was down for the day, which was a disappointment. Trying to get children to eat and having it run our after you promised them if they ate all their food they'd get a treat did not happen until i got them home,bathing, and eating ice cream in the tub. Overall, i will go back and try again. Sorry no food pix this time....i did not have my phone with me!

First time here everything was fire. Family friendly. Country fried steak was delicious with the jalapeno gravy, bbq beans was slamming, burgers on point. Everyone is so nice and sweet. We waited for a reasonable amount of time for 5 people. We will be back!!!

Arrived around 1pm on a Friday - lots of kids and groups, but was able to quickly place an order and grab a table. It's a family friendly restaurant, so expect a lot of noise, ill mannered kids and oblivious parents. Not a negative - just don't go expecting something else. Not a fan of the Asian Salad. The entire bowl was shades of tan and brown. WAY too much glaze on the chicken, and the chicken was rubbery. Not a repeat. Don't forget to grab a [free] soft serve after your meal.

Parking is good! There is a full lot in the front and back and it is right next to the Kirby Ice House. Service was fast and they delivered it to the table and cleaned it up. The interior was a typical diner. It had checkered patterned tablecloths, diner decorations, etc. I ordered the Bison burger. It was pretty good but i couldn't finish it on my own. It tasted like a leaner beef.

Loved this place! Yummy, southern food options here. This place is decorated very cute with a very "homey" feel. The homage jalapeño gravy on the chicken fried chicken was to die for! The Mac & cheese is also amazing. I will be back!

How do I rank this place... it's better than Luby's (RIP to some of our Houston locations), if you want some southern style comfort food! This place is great for groups and your family! I feel like this place is the perfect brunch/go-to for any Sunday after church eating group/crowd. Mia's Table is constantly packed, and they offer some great quality food to you and your family! Let's hit some highlights on the food. Some of the items that I've had are: -Chicken Fried Chicken: man oh man... so good! Just as we thought would be on there for sure. -Cheeseburger: a pretty decent burger for the meat being half pound ground brisket! -Fried Shrimp and Catfish: not too bad for fried seafood, definitely other places to go get better, but if you want to get it here, then go for it! What better way to finish the end of your meal than to go eat some vanilla soft serve ice cream! Free for everyone and it's so good! Come on by! Parking might be tight so get ready to go do some walking!

Love the service and love the food. I think bigger portions could be better when it comes to the chicken breast and salmon. Otherwise it's so good love it 8.5/10.

Pleasantly surprised going here for the first time. Normally I dislike places you have to order at the counter but the ordering was easy, the food was super tasty. (Had grilled chicken, green beans and mashed. Hubby had chicken fried chicken). The ice cream cone was a nice sweet treat at the end.

Wonderful food, always have a great experience with my food choices both dining in and picking up! Tonight was no exception! I'd just ordered online before I left work, and then had a collision. I called and they said just to call when finished with everything. So 1 hour later I called. When I picked up my food and it was fresh and so hot. I really appreciated them caring for me!

Wait Time was very short and food came out HOT and Fresh! The dining room is very clean and tables were bussed as customers left their tables. Very well staffed for a Sunday evening. It's a must to try again another time. Thank you for the service this evening.

The food is always hot. We always have gone in to eat but tonight we ordered for curbside and the food still hot and good. Also before we even checked in someone was coming out with our food. Great service!

A big disappointment today. Chicken fried steak was about half the size of the one served at the Upper Kirby location, and it was almost burned, very little gravy provided. Hamburger was undercooked, had to send it back, but it still was not very good. Catfish was ok. The staff members were nice. I don't know why we went to this location when the Upper Kirby one is so much better, but I was thinking they should all be the same.

Walk up order service allows you to kinda gauge how busy they are while you decide what you want, but sometimes leads to lack of seating being available. There is plenty of parking however. They are practically the weekend post little league/soccer/football team hang out. Tons of families and plenty of tv's. It's a neighborhood type feel. Local schools have banners everywhere and kids are running around. The food is solid. That's the best way to describe everything. Been here plenty of times and still don't have a favor sit something. Nothing is bad by any means, but it's menu is old school fried mixed with a couple lighter options. Really can't go wrong with any order here.

Great place for lunch with an extensive menu. I ordered the nachos with ground taco meat, queso, pica de gallo, and pickled jalapeños and also ordered the fried chicken strips. They have great ice tea and provide both lemons and limes. Service was fast and courteous. But it is PACKED at lunch so come early and avoid the crowds and come late. Definitely a great place for lunch.

had the catfish and shrimp. Catfish was juicy and the shrimp were large. Personal preference, didn't like the breading. Fries were good. skip the tartar sauce, not sure what was in it. Nice place, not too loud. Bathrooms were clean

Delicious, I have been to multiple Mia's in Texas. Not once have I been disappointed, today we had a curbside pickup and they actually gave us more food than ordered. I actually tried the taco salad and it was absolutely amazing. My Sisterfriends ordered the shrimp tacos, onion rings, fried pickles, and shrimp combo. Everything was fresh and tasteful. Plan to visit, get fully and roll out of the establishment. Happy eating!!

Orderd from this location a few times and I have not been disappointed. I ordered a burger and onions rings. Made several changes/ substitutions. All of them were accurate and the burger was seasoned really good!

Good, wholesome, quality food in a fun, relaxed environment with phenomenal customer service. They don't worry about all the unimportant things that can overshadow taste. I do wish that the mac & cheese portion was a little bigger for $4, and that the fried pickles had a little more breading to them. Another thing that almost got us was that they prepare all their burgers Medium Well unless told otherwise, so make sure to specify how you want yours cooked! All in all, nice spot for some comfort food, especially if you're trying to feed a family!

Food is always on point, my favorite is the Chicken Fried Steak!! Raisin & pexan Oatmeal cookie was really delicious!! Service is great!!

The food was good. Service was prompt. The ambiance was busy but nice. I ordered the turkey burger, but requested it to be made gluten-free, as they explained they could make the burgers with a gluten-free bun. My grandmother ordered the same burger (not gluten-free). When our orders came out, her bun looked like the bun on my burger, which made me question. So to be sure, I just went and asked if it was made gluten-free as I requested. They seemed confused, but took my plate and told me they will make it gluten-free. Now I was confused because I had a whole conversation about the gluten-free options and was even brought a gluten-free menu that I ordered from. When they brought out my burger the second time, it had a much different bun than the one my grandmother had and they reassured me it was gluten-free. Needless to say, if you have Celiac's or a gluten intolerance, either avoid this restaurant completely or triple-check that your order will come out gluten-free. If I hadn't checked, it wouldn't have been good for me.

I ordered 5 chicken tenders for 15$ and they are the size of nuggets, this is completely ridiculous. besides that fact, the food is great. The service was great. and the overall vibe of the restaurant is great. But do not order takeout unless you want to be scammed.

Well....i went to mia's table and my kiddos got some fries and burger! Hah! The original! And then...the server served us our meals...THERE WAS A RAT TAIL IN MY KIDS BURGER..? LIKE WHATTTT??? how do u achieve to have a rats tail in a burger? This was a bad experience. Mias table...take my advice...DO BETTER AT UR JOB

The food the fries were great I am vegan so fries and a beer at a southern comfort food is expected. My friend is flexterian and every so often craves this fare. The prices are casual dining the ambience? Children running . My friend loved the chicken fried chicken and sides. A cold beer on a hot day always good. Parking easy. Strip Centre. Service is prompt. Order at counter and take a device that gives server location.

The quality of food was equal to Graces, but cost much less. When I need a quick southern smothered casual meal I will be coming to Mia's. However, for something a little more formal I'll continue to go to Graces.... Staff went above and beyond!

Fun place. Great for groups. I was told that it's like if Carrabba's tried to re-do a Black Eyed Pea restaurant. That's not at all what I saw. And, that's fine. They do have chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken, also burgers. The chicken was really good. Burger was ok. Nothing to write home about. Now, the soft-serve ice cream.... Holy crap! It's great!!! Probably the best thing they have.

Food was good and prices reasonable. Atmosphere very loud but place is friendly and attentive. I will be back again, and I might try the location closer to my home. I was out going somewhere else but stopped here because of the rain today. Food could have been a bit hotter temperature wise. That's the only reason I didn't give this place the maximum rating.

Mia's Table has a warm atmosphere with many tables :) They serve American cuisine with southern classics. When you walk in, you wait in line to place your order at the register. You receive a buzzer and choose your dining table. I ordered the chicken tacos, which came with a (large) side of chips and queso. Though they were small, the soft tacos packed a mighty punch. The salsa and slightly spicy queso made for a flavorful meal. The menu showed an enlarged photo of a decadent chocolate chip cookie, so I was convinced I had to taste it. Attached is a photo of the sad cookie that arrived--it was smaller than it looks. There is a soft serve ice cream dispenser for kids of "all ages." The women's restroom is clean and has a display case with vintage women's hair styling products. I want to try Mia's Table again.
