Here’s Where to Spend 36 Food and Wine-Filled Hours in Lodi - Eater SF

"Michael David Winery makes the perfect first stop in town with its prominent position right on Highway 12 just after you cross the Lodi border. Brothers and founders Michael and David Phillips are the fifth generation of the farming family that’s grown crops on the site since the 1860s, and their sense of humor is evident across the library of wine labels, all of which are like a Where’s-Waldo game for grownups. The Freakshow series is most famous, with depictions of classic circus icons and secret code tags that call back pop cultural references from the ‘80s." - Laura Smith Borrman

The wines here are exceptional! We only went home with 4 bottles, but we could have left with so many more! Yvette took us on an exciting palate journey (off menu). The grounds are beautiful! If you're a wine enthusiast and in Lodi, you definitely need to stop by here!

First time going to this winery, the garden was so wonderful. I didn't know that we could order pizza from this place too. Was here on April 6, 2024 and I have to say that the staff are friendly. Even though it was really loud inside, I was able to have outdoor seating to enjoy some wine tasting. My parents, my nana and her husband were able to have some crackers, spreads and cheeses along with our wine. The designs on each wine bottle are really awesome, especially the Freakshow bottle. Our server is able to tell us each detail about the history and how consistent our selected wine was. Overall, I would definitely going back to this winery again for a relaxing day out. This destination is a good recommendation to those that want to go to Lodi for a day trip. Everything about this place is amazing! I got some good photos of the flowers and even the view too.

What a tucked away beauty! Now Ive lived about 30 min away for 23 yrs. Wanted to go to a nursery in Lodi but have breakfast first. When this placed popped up as #1 I was on it. The breakfast was incredible. I had the asparagus, mushrooms, bacon omelette with the sides offered. Honestly, in my 60+ yrs, I don't believe I had an omelette this delicious . Trust me, Im a culinary snob. Every morsel so fresh. My husband had the chili verde omelette and enjoyed. All the amenities on the property is too much to list. Something for everyone, including beautiful park landscaping for bocce ball, bistro with wine tasting, market with fresh fruits and veggies to a bakery!!! Check em out. I will be going back soon.

DOGGY BAG 🍷 Never fails to impress me. Meagan was great. Food fresh & delicious. Wine impeccable. We overlooked the majestic vineyards instead of walking the prestigious grounds due to some flooding. Still a beautiful sight nonetheless 💚 Spring we miss you!

Google
We love Michael and David Winery! Their Freakshow Zin is full bodied and great with chocolate. The food is always good and they have so many healthy options. Parking is easy in non-busy days. If you’re coming from I-5 it’s the easiest way in. Going back to I-5 you have to make a left hand turn onto Highway 12. That’s why I make Michael and David’s my first stop before going to other Lodi wineries.

Ashley is super sweet, friendly &we know Alec, a worker who was talking to us about his job... so cool!

Google
This place is an industrial-scale winery and tourism center. The tasting room is nice and the interior grounds are beautiful. The wines are generally very good, but your experience will be hit or miss depending on whether you get an experienced tasting associate or someone who's doing it as a third job. Likewise, you can also get lost in the shuffle if the place is busy and your associate is covering multiple stations. Go if you're already a fan, but otherwise there are better experiences.

Google
We had a lovely time at the winery. We were tempted to do the tasting but opted to buy a bottle and sit and lounge. The host was friendly and accommodating. We told her what wines we like and don’t like and she made a recommendation. I’m not much of a wine drinker so not equipped to make recommendations but my companion really liked it. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed a stroll around the property.

Yelp
Got in early for a full hearty breakfast at the cafe! I ordered the French toast breakfast & added potatoes. This can easily be shared with two! Brought out hot from the kitchen with very little wait even with a packed house! French toast was soft with a slight crunch on the edges but not soggy in the middle! Our waitress was friendly and checked on us often! After breakfast we ventured to our tasting. We didn't have a reservation so we waited about 15-20 mins. I believe Vanessa took care of us?! She was great! Definitely set the bar for the rest of winery tour in Lodi. Loved that she gave us background on the property and the family owned wine. She was definitely strategic with her recommendations and asked great questions to get to know us and our preferences. 30 mins later we all walked out with a couple of bottles. My favorite was the misfits and mavens- a crisp Sauvignon Blanc a beautiful label with a great taste! A beautiful property- that I am looking forward to exploring my next visit. I feel like I could spend the whole day there with my favorite people just eating and wine tasting. Great experience! Thank you!

Yelp
We decided to revisit this winery to try the rest of the wines that we weren't able to try. It was really busy for a Memorial Day weekend around 1:30pm. We made the mistake of not making a reservation this time so we had to wait about 25-30 mins. We even had to wait for restrooms since it's so busy. We had to also wait our server for a while before we started our tasting. We think they are too understaffed. There was a pretty long wait time in between the wine pours too. We had to tell our server that we need to leave by 3pm for another appointment hoping he would speed things up. He didn't explain the wines. He just told us what the name of the wine is and that's really it. I don't think he had time to talk much since he's overwhelmed with all the customers he had. Some red wines had more tannins than others. The whites were bland. We thought the Earthquake Cab and Michael David Merlot were the best. He was nice to let us try a reserve cab. But they don't waive any tasting fee if you buy a bottle or anything. Complimentary Sauv blanc -ok Freak show Zinfandel- ok Freak show Cab- ok Sixth sense Syrah- a little earthy Earthquake Zinfandel- more tannic Earthquake cab- good Misfits & mavens red wine- ok Michael David Merlot- decent Misfits & Mavens cab franc- very earthy Michael David cab- more tannic Politically correct- earthy Extra- MDW reserve cab - good

Yelp
This is a perfect place to have some time with your significant other or girls and let the kids some fun! We was thinking about what to do that is adult and kid friendly and this was the perfect place! We did a wine tasting first with our amazing wine connoisseur Kylie! Absolutely love her and highly recommend her! She kept us and our kids entertained and was so gracious, knowledgeable and friendly! She made our first time great! We bought some bottles and ate lunch at the restaurant inside, this is where I dropped a star, while the food was good, my husband had the spicy chicken sandwich, I had the chicken club sandwich and the kids had burgers and fries. Our waitress was very rude and just disgusting, I would normally get a name but I just wanted to eat and leave so she didn't ruin the rest of my day with her snobby attitude. NEXT We opened our wine and sat near the play structure and just laughed and had a good time while we watched our kids play! The outside is filled with different waterfall seating that you can reserve and lots of grass for the kids to run and play! They are opening an outside food area this weekend and we will be in attendance!!!

Yelp
Curtis was such an excellent Som. He is personable and knowledgeable. Michael David's Rapture Cab it's excellent. My love at first sight Cabernet! Their symphony is my second favorite. This vineyard is gorgeous and serene. Come and bring your friends for tasting and join the club! It is so worth it!

Yelp
Love, love, love this winery! Good customer service, even better wine and scenery! Wonderful wine selections too!

Yelp
This place is beautiful yes, but that is basically it. The service my boyfriend and I received was not very pleasant and also the staff were not very friendly when I was asking questions regarding wines etc. There was a guy at the "bar" who was serving, he looks Latino maybe mid 30s wearing lipgloss.. Anyway, he wasn't very receptive to me and my questions as he kept brushing me off and not being very patient with me. I'm not a big wine person, but I'm trying to learn more about it. I don't think I would go back to this winery due to this treatment that me, and my partner received. I had such high hopes for this place too. * Sigh *

Yelp
Came back with my team again. Decided to throw one team member a surprise bridal shower and the whole MDW team just took great care of us from the wine tasting to the lunch we had at the cafe. 2 more of our team members were convinced to join the club. Always a great experience.

Yelp
Really nice spot but you need a reservation for the food. Make a reservation so you can get the food and the tasting and everything else set up ahead time or else you literally cannot get food

Yelp
Michael-David Winery has stunning grounds and gorgeous flowers (particularly in the Spring and Summer, though there's plants blooming all year). It's worth the visit just for the scenery. They also have a good-sized retail space where you can pick up deli food, gifts, and of course, wine. And they have a restaurant onsite, where we enjoyed lunch on our recent visit. The steak and bleu salad is huge! They also had yummy sangria by the pitcher or glass. They have several wines sold in store throughout the U.S. One of the most famous of these was the 7 Deadly Zins that was a great Zin at an economical price. Freakshow (showy labels), Misfits & Mavens, Earthquake and Inkblot are their current retail line of wines. But you can also taste wines here that have more limited release, including member-only wines (including a beautiful cab reserve). Service wasn't the best in the tasting room. It's kind of chaotic and our server was quite distracted. The good news is that we were told it would be a 45 minute wait for the tasting and we were called after only 10 minutes. Pro tip: This is one of the busiest places along the Lodi wine trail. You'll likely need to check in upon arrival to put your name on the list for a tasting (it's not a walk in and walk up kind of place). The restaurant is also quite busy, so best to go their during non-peak times.

Yelp
This winery/bakery/cafe/bistro place has a lot of appeal. It is more family friendly than the other wineries in the area. The bakery/cafe was super busy and crowded the day we went. They have a couple of good selection of wines and the courtyard has a lot of seating and picnic settings. I would definitely come back to check this place out.

Yelp
The grounds are fabulous! Such a beautiful place to relax with friends and share a lovely bottle of wine outside. The indoor shop is set up nicely with a Cafe as well as a small grocery perfect for snacks to complement the wines.

Yelp
My family of 4 met my friend and her spouse for lunch and wine tasting on a Saturday afternoon. Beautiful property. We had lunch in the cafe, the service was good and the food was decent. Afterwards we sat outside and purchased a bottle of wine for the table. We had my two children with us and there's an outdoor area with a play structure. The weather was beautiful and we had a good experience. We definitely plan to visit again in the future.

Yelp
We love the winery... A great place to go for wine tasting and lunch or dinner. I recommend the tri tip asparagus sandwich.

Yelp
I went with my husband today. We bought snacks from the little shop and brought it outside. We walked out and asked about wine tasting. The girl was able to get us in without a reservation (it was not too busy) but she explained she was going on lunch and gave us our first tasting. After that it just seemed like we were a burden. Every pour was very light and nothing was explained. I had to pay attention to the lady pouring our tasting because she said nothing and my husband and I were sometimes getting a different wine. It's a very beautiful winery and the wine taste great but it was not welcoming at all.

Yelp
Great little cafe for lunch! Alisha was a fantastic server and the ambiance is warm and welcoming. I had a salmon salad and added beets and the salmon perfect. Juicy and tender. I will be back for sure!!

Yelp
My friend and I decided to try a new place for brunch and he picked The Farm Cafe at Michael-David Winery. After finishing a tasty meal there, we figured why not try some wine tasting seeing as the place was packed and the grounds were beautiful. We put our name on the list and as we waited we walked around the grounds. There is lots of areas to sit and enjoy your wines purchased in the gift shop, both for members and non-members. The grounds are stunning with waterfalls, pretty landscapes and even a playground area for the children that's located towards the back. Finally it was our turn to be shown where we would be wine tasting. We were placed outside; though next time I would like to try inside the building, and had plenty of room to space out at the pouring station. Our sommelier was named Danny and he was absolutely the best sommelier I've ever met for the following reasons. He had us taste the same varietals from different vintages and blending styles. He showed us the actual grapes used to make the wines we were tasting and explained the geography and how it plays a big part in the wine they produce. He always had an answer for our questions and competitor comparisons. He even provided us tips with other places to try that suited our tastebuds. Danny had a plethora of knowledge and really made the experience one of the best! Thanks to Danny we will for sure be back and left that day with a bottle of 2020 Inkblot Petite Sirah and a bottle of 2021 6th Sense Syrah.

Yelp
Took my friend out for some wine tasting on her birthday. We came to Michael- David winery Sunday afternoon around 4 as a walk in (they close at 5). After waiting 15 minutes, they were able to fit us in for a wine tasting. While the wine I tried there wasn't too much to my preference (I like luscious wine with little tannins and their reds were pretty dry), we had a great time at the winery. Shoutout to our sommelier Danny who was made the wine tasting experience so fun. He was super knowledgable, and gave us background on which wine we tried without going overboard and boring us. He also made us guess which region the wine was from. Overall made for a great wine tasting experience. Wine tasting was $10 for normal wine list and $15 for the reserve wines. I really liked their wine bottles which they purchased from Italy, It looks so pretty. The tasting is standing only. The winery itself is very beautiful and spacious. They sell food, snacks, pies and wine for those who want to eat.

Yelp
At this moment in time, this is my first experience at a winery and my party and I had a lovely time. We visited at the beginning of November and it had been decorated with pumpkins to fit the Fall theme. You could tell the place was well kept and offered various experiences from sit-down to the booths (which you reserve for 2 hours) and wine tastings as well. The bonus is the gift shop on the property too. We had lucked out with the weather and truly enjoyed ourselves sitting at the booth and ordering a variety of bottles, pizzas, and charcuterie. Our server was so nice and attentive to our needs and gave us plenty of space to enjoy our time there. This is a winery I would visit again and order the pepperoni pizza as well!!
google avatar

Andrea W.

Yelp
The only thing I can say is you will not be disappointed! The winery is family friendly with a small park area for kids to play. They also have an outdoor restaurant on site. The property is just beautiful and anyways decorated for the season. Price points for their amazing wines is reasonable and ample parking spaces. Service top notch!
google avatar

Curt T.

Yelp
The pours here were pretty small. Their sparkling wine was crisp and delicious. Service was ok. If you want to eat at the bistro Pizza place you need a reservation so keep that in mind. The cafe inside you don't need a reservation. The wines were pretty good. The cab franc and their sparking were my favorite
google avatar

Jessica N.

Yelp
Grounds are very nice and also huge! It was such a far walk to our table and to the bathrooms based on where we were seated. Because of how spread out the grounds are the service is very slow due to this since the servers need to walk so far. They definitely should find a solution for that. I thought the wines were very decent and a good price. We ordered a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and would come back again.

Yelp
Great services yummy wine it's get super pack n busy do go early if u want to have a few yummy drinks

Yelp
Visiting Lodi. I've been to wineries in Temecula and comparing the two cities, the wine pour portion for wine tasting in Lodi is small. It's cheaper so that maybe the reason. The sparkling wine Blancs de Blanc was so crisp and bubbly. I used 3 out of the 5 allotted tastings for this wine. Staff is very informative. They have a large dining patio area. The weather was cold and windy so we didn't get to try it. They recommend making reservations if you decide you want to eat in that area.

Yelp
My wife and I LOVE love; therefore, we thought it would be appropriate & fun to invite one of our favorite couples to celebrate Valentine's Day via wine tasting. Michael-David Winery has been at the top of my Yelp bookmark (I love this handy feature within the Yelp app) section since April 2021. Due to the COVID restrictions on large crowds, it was dang near impossible to secure a reservation back in April 2021. Fast forward to February 2023, I called one week prior to our desired reservation time, and was easily able to secure a reservation for four people. When we arrived, we were greeted by an employee at the wine bar who ushered us over to our reserved area. Less than five minutes later, a sommelier by the name of Danny arrived and warmly introduced himself. Initially, I paid $40 ($10 per tasting) for our party of four. However, Danny explained that for $15 person, we could experience the wine offerings on the reserved menu...of course we had to go with the reserved menu. Being that I have tried the Michael-David "Freakshow" Cabernet (I highly recommend purchasing a bottle at your nearby CVS or Total Wine), I was familiar with the quality of their wine options. Therefore, I was not surprised when I found myself impressed by every offering on the reserved menu (it really made it hard for me when Danny kept asking me which selection did I prefer). Even the Brut that we tried was delicious...and usually I can't tell the difference between Napa Mumm or Veuve Clicquot. Throughout the tasting experience, Danny did a great job of keeping us engaged by giving a background story for each wine selection. Additionally, Danny excelled at administering a tasting for another group, while ensuring that nether parties went long periods of time without his service. Although it was hard to settle on one bottle (Danny also suggested another winery called Field Family Wines-feel free to read my review for them), we ended up purchasing a bottle of Inkblot Cabernet Frac. Our group was satisfied with both the wine tasting experience and the wine selections, thank you Michael-David Winery!

Yelp
We stopped here on a fluke. We were actually going to another winery and we happened to come a different way and noticed the parking lot and decided to be nosey and stop to see why there was a full parking lot. WOW is all I can say! We were pleasantly shocked! From the minute we walked in the customer service was 5 star! We were privileged enough to have Cara tend to us and she made some amazing recommendations and told us all about the wine club! Let me tell you that we were wowed! Within 30 minutes we were club members and plucky for us it happened to be an event night! We not only signed up as members we also got tickets for the event that night! We left for an hour and came back about 10 minutes prior to them opening the doors for the event. We pulled up to a line about 2 blocks deep! We got in and got our wine glasses and tickets and found a seat. The BBQ was so good and the music was so classy. The wine of course was delicious! We are not wine people as we are barely learning but I will say that it is very tasty wine! We were privileged enough to have an employee be seated at our table and she educated us on the wine! If you want a great winery to visit and be members of this is the winery for you!!! Do we recommend this winery you ask? 1000%!!!

Yelp
Overall experience was great. This winery is also family-friendly. Wine bar building was spacious with a beautiful design. Large, beautiful garden area with plenty of seating, water feature and even a children's area. If you are able to reserve a table outside, I would highly recommend as they get super busy, especially on the weekends with great weather. I would also suggest making a reservation for tastings, otherwise it's first come, first serve at checking-in and the wait depends on how many reps. are available. Did not order any food with our tasting. Affordable tasting fee of $10-$15, waived with purchase. Variety and quality of wines were great! We had Vanessa helping us and she was amazing and friendly! Located closer to the I5 side of Hwy 12. Plenty of parking, but may be difficult to pull out of the parking lot onto Hwy 12 depending on oncoming traffic going both directions. I really enjoyed the Misfits and Mavens Sauvignon Blanc, Michael David Rosè and the Michael David Symphony. I didn't try any reds on this visit.

Gigi C.

Yelp
It's not my favorite wine but I appreciate that this place is family friendly! Went with some friends and their kids and they have a playground in the back that the kids enjoyed.

Yelp
The Michael -David winery feels like a magical place! Located in the Lodi/Galt area, it definitely feels like one of those hidden gems that needs to be explored over and over again! First off, the grounds are absolutely lovely. This is one of those places that you would want to spend time, enjoying both the outdoors, the restaurant, and, of course, the winery itself. It's pretty obvious that a lot of time and effort has gone into every detail of every aspect of the creation of such a wonderful destination. The restaurant has pretty decent food, but it's very clear that most people stop in for the wine tasting. The branding is absolutely spectacular. There are two different winetasting areas. One in the main building, and the other tasting area, which is where all of the branded items are completely showcased, not to mention the outdoor location. It seriously is one of the nicest locations I've been to in a while. Beyond the tasting rooms, the grounds are walkable, and there are places to sit and enjoy a bottle of wine. I dare say that it may even be available for a picnic with your wine. If you're driving through the area, I encourage you to stop and check out this lovely winery!

Yelp
Michael-David Winery offers a diverse experience with its restaurant, wine area, and grocery section. Opted for the wine tasting, and though no chairs were provided, the experience was swift. For just $10, we curated a tasting adventure with 5 distinct choices - a delightful and affordable way to savor the winery's offerings. The wine tasting room was beautifully made.

Yelp
Breakfast ends 11am! I got a burger, it was really good. Service wasn't slow, but it wasn't fast. It took a while for her to come back to our table and take out order, which we sat down around 10:30 and our order wasn't taken u til 10:55 and breakfast was over. (We already knew what we wanted for breakfast, however the waitress just seemed to avoid our table for a while) The property itself didn't have the best ambiance, but maybe due to the rain? There was caution tape in a few places outside. Huge property, lots of places to sit. Wine tasting was fun & our server for that was very upbeat and great! Going to go back for breakfast...

Yelp
Came out to pick up my wine club. This is a great winery. Beautiful grounds. Ashley is the best.

Yelp
What a nice winery. Tony was our sever... amazing service. Get some blackberries to complement the wine tasting. The wines are amazing - reds are deep. White sac blanc is good too

Yelp
I advise making a reservation! We arrived at 11am and it was packed, but the service was great and so was the food! I especially loved the mimosa (I got blueberry lavender!). After brunch we went to the tasting room and I left with half a case! Nice options at very affordable prices!

Yelp
This was my first winery experience! Our Ambassador Kylee was Awesome. She took us on a tour to where it all started, we visited the lab room, and my favorite part the wine Library such a cool place. We had a great experience with our group of 9 people, lunch was delicious and so was all the wine we tasted. The place itself is beautiful. Must visit again!!

Yelp
Winery is located of Highway 12 in Lodi area. Lot of excellent wine choices and good atmosphere. Their food selection is pretty limited and they do draw a clear line between the café and the winery; no inner-sharing food between them too, you can't even buy a cup of coffee at the cafe to drink in the winery (even though the winery don't serve it). Food is limited to a small selection of mainly personal pizzas and sandwich type food, but what the food they had paired great with their wine selections. They day there, was pretty cold and was surprised they did not have any outdoor heaters.

Yelp
Cute little winery Came with my sisters for a girls day We ate in the restaurant in front and got some mimosas while waiting for more girls Service was quick and food was tasty We finally went to our wine tasting And ordered more pizza We had a nice private area and a nice view of the property Would love to come back if ever back in the area

Yelp
We came here to take our friends for their birthday. The food was good and so was the wine. The cute park area was where we sat at. I do want to come by again for the flower picking we were told about but haven't food the time but then we missed the time. Check in took a little longer than I expected but it was our first time there so hopefully next time it won't be such a wait. Our girls enjoyed themselves as did my friends. Bathrooms are a bit of a distance (mainly for me because I was in a wheelchair) their wine tasting area looked small and also their restaurant area at the front which was very busy. I kinda didn't like that they brought out plastic cups for the wines but when we asked for glass they brought em out. My suggestion would be to ask your guests first perhaps because it made me feel like they didn't appreciate us with the plastic. I did understand why they brought plastic after explaining but to make a guest feel appreciated I say ask first, like would you like your drinks to be served in a wine glass or would it be ok if we just bring out plastic cups for this outdoor area by the park.

Yelp
Love the heirloom tomatoes and delicious pies inside. Amazed at the beauty outside with the limited menue.

Yelp
A very popular winery, and larger than most in Lodi. My friend and I were squeezed into a tasting as walk ins right before they closed on a Sunday. The outdoor area is beautiful and spacious especially on a nice day. They also have a retail store with wine and snacks/baked goods. We were served by Danny and he was ah-mazing. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. Based on this experience, I would recommend and come back next time I'm in Lodi.

Yelp
Michael David has always been an amazing winery to attend. Ashley convinced us to become members but Curtis definitely made us stay as members. Curtis is incredible team member to have. Very wise on his wine and incredible to chat with. Definitely recommend Michael David to all of our family and friends.

Yelp
Came here for a tasting as we have never tried the wines . We could have reserved a table outdoors with food service but tastings are not offered there. Glad we opted for doing tasting as we ended up enjoying certain red wines that we did not think we would . The tasting is standing only. We did have a 5 year old, which the winery allows, and she was content watching on her iPad on sitting on a edge . We did two different tasting - original tasting (choice of 5) and the reserve tasting (no choice- 5). Cost wise and the type of wines offered, the reserve tasting was a great value. Vanessa was amiable and very easy to talk to. We ended up buying three of the wines (freakshow zin, reserve merlot and the reserve cab) . They needed up comping our tasting which was very nice. Afterwards, we did go to the playground which is more for young kids/ toddlers. Next time I would come by and reserve a table outside near the playground , now that I have tried more of the wines outdoor area is very nice and well designed .

Yelp
My wife, two friends, and I ventured down to Lodi on Saturday to check out this winery that my friends are members at. They had made a 2:30pm reservation for a table service section that you can order wine by the bottle or sangria, as well as food. We decided on a bottle of white, a bottle of red, and two pizzas to share amongst us. The Sauvignon Blanc was crisp and refreshing and a great way to get us started before our pizzas came out. The Ink Blot Cabernet Franc was excellent as well - it's my favorite varietal . We got the spicy Sopresseta and the Tarte Flambee pizzas. The combo worked great as we split them between the 4 of us. Excellent doughy crust, a little char from the oven, and great toppings made these pizzas I would for sure order again. After the pizza we tried a Zinfandel and enjoyed that before heading up to the main room for a tasting. The grounds are really beautiful with water features, terraces, and even a kids area (no - the kids weren't too loud to ruin the ambiance at all). I look forward to visiting back here again in the near future as it's an east 40 minute drive south of Sacramento.

Yelp
When in Lodi... This is one of my favorite Winery to stop at. They serve breakfast early in the morning, and always have fresh baked pies. Yes, fresh baked pies of many flavors! The staff here are amazing. The winery itself is beautiful. Such a nice scenery for a quick relaxing afternoon. Book yourself lunch here at the water service area and relax. Buy a pitcher of their sangria and maybe a bottle of wine. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Great place to hang out with friends and family. Kid friendly and property looks inviting. Reservations are advised, but they they take walk-in. Their store sells pies and charcuterie items- great to go with their wine. We tried their apple pie, which is pretty good.

Yelp
So is the wine or the landscape what bring people here? I've always driven by and seen it so full and busy, finally got around to make reservations and I'm was thoroughly underwhelmed. The tasting was rushed and no information given that wasn't already printed on the tasting menu. We also did the bottle and bistro which had food served in Togo boxes. Since the wine fell flat we opted for a sangria pitcher instead. Beautiful landscape and property but overall I feel that is all a distraction from the same wine with different labels.
