Good, good food. I enjoyed the crab cake a lot. The steak, 🍣 salmon, lobster 🦞, mushrooms 🍄 , asparagus was delicious 😋. Piña colada was good too. The staff were truly exceptional, I really liked them. The ambiance was great. I got complimentary cake too. Free parking spaces. We made reservations before going to avoid disappointment. I recommend!

Google
Loved this this location. There was so many different Jordan decor and it was nice for either a date night or a family dinner. The food was cooked to perfection. The drinks were very delicious. I did notice that the cocktail menu was much different than the Downtown Chicago location. This location has parking which is a plus.

We came for our anniversary, and they made the event even better with all of the special touches. The steak platter and Jordan Martini were highlights, and the 23layer cake was the perfect ending. Thank you for all of the added touches.

Google
Service was amazing! I believe Andres was our server? I forgot his name but he was excellent! Answered all of our questions and his recommendations were spot on. Steak was delicious as well as the garlic bread and Mac and cheese. It's a shame they will be closing soon. Come check it out while you have the chance.

Visited MJ's Stake House and just learned that it is closing! The food was very very good! Had the bacon & garlic bread appetizer, salad, sliced prime NY strip with mushrooms and peanut butter pie. The feel of the restaurant was warm and inviting, I recommend visiting before they close!

Google
It doesn’t quite have the ambiance you’d expect from a steakhouse, it definitely feels casual to me, and nothing special as far as the design inside. But I like it because the food is so good! The filet is excellent, pork chops are popular, and the loaded mashed potato is delicious. The service is also great. I’d go for the food, not a fancy ambiance, bathrooms also weren’t nice. They do cute b-day dessert plates. Good for cocktails in the bar area, too, casual but nice.

Been here a couple of times and always a great experience. I hate to see this location will be closing on 12/21/24. I personally think if they were on the north side of 22nd with the other restaurants this location would be busy.

Google
Our server Dan was awesome. First time coming here, and the food was amazing was here to celebrate my wife passing her real estate exam. I was very surprised on how good the food was. I'm not much of a surf and turf kinda guy. Burgers and fries are my thing. Every time I come to a steak house, they seem to no better what I want than I do. I ask for a burger. Well done, no pink inside. And at everyone, they either bring it to me pink inside or burned so bad it can't be eaten. Normally, i have to go somewhere to eat after a steak house. My wife loves a good medium rare steak raw tuna all of this is up her alley. My burger was done perfectly, not a piece of charcoal usable to eat. It tasted great, and everything we ordered was amazing. As for the prices, they are about the same as other steakhouses I've been to. I was amazed I was able to walk out of here with a bill under 100 bucks. They brought out a special dessert for my wife ( that I ate ) and I got a keylime pie, and both were amazing. Just look at the pic of the Plate with the chocolate cake it looks amazing. It was soo good we will be making this one of our restaurants we go to on a regular basis.

Yelp
I went to Jordan's on a Thursday afternoon for lunch . The restaraunt was empty at 1:30. They had a lunch special for $23 which included a nice burger with fries and a choice of drinks which included a beer. On Thursday's they run a tomahawk thursday special for around $125. That feeds two people, possibly three. It included garlic bread, choice of salad, choice of two sides, a tomahawk rib eye and choice of desert. I talked another person into the tomahawk. I am glad I did! We were soon delivered a basket of nice garlic sticks to accompany a chopped salad. They were very nice about adjusting the salad to our taste requests. The full salad was enough for five of us to taste it. The tomahawk is presented on a wooden board sliced , making it easy to share. We chose mashed potato's and a great roast corn chile hot salad. The waiter had suggested medium for the rib eye. I usually lean toward medium rare. I think it really came out med well. I have to admit it was very tender for the doneness level. We ate it and really enjoyed it, but when I go back I will order medium rare . The key lime desert was very nice and shared by all. They have great meat and some original ways of serving it, such as their steak flight. This is served on meat boards sliced for sharing with filet, strip and rib eye with included sides. Bottom line Jordan's should be on your to go list if you are in the oakbrook area.

Yelp
The standout thing about this place is the service. Hands down, the staff is amazing, friendly and helpful, from the bussers on up to the managers. Awesome. The food is good. It's not the best steakhouse I've ever been to, but it is good. Portions are generous, steak temps have always been right on, and the taste is good. But nothing is "wow". Also, the atmosphere is nice. Obviously MJ heavy, but that should surprise no one. And it's kinda cool's to check out some of the photographs around the place. My main issue is the price. Yeah, this is Chicago. And yeah, this is a steakhouse. But for two, with just one drink each, you're likely not getting out of here for under $200+. Which, again, is not crazy for a steakhouse. But for what you're getting, it's definitely on the high side. If the price was lower or the food completely blew me away, this would be 5 stars. If you're a fan of Jordan and steaks, you'll love it. Otherwise, you might want to look around a bit more before deciding.

Yelp
Ambiance and Service: It's my first experience at the restaurant and it was also for Father's Day so I may be a tad harsher on the review. Parking outside is limited and if you come in during a busier time you'll have to either walk or figure out the maze that takes you to parking in the back. The person at the front table was less than enthusiastic, maybe because their shift just started? The seating isn't anything spectacular it the photos and the air Jordon's behind the bar is an excellent touch. My menu had reminisce of whatever food someone before had smashed into it. Our server was very attentive and friendly, much different than the front desk. We ordered a round of drinks and in particular we got the jumpman signature drink for dad since he was a huge Jordan and bulls fan. Sadly the jumpman log in their signature drink turned into a swirling mess. If the bartender know this is someone's first time and offers the signature drink you post everywhere, you'd think they wouldn't allow for it to come out the way it did. Food: For a family of 4 I strongly recommend the triangle offense and the steak sampler. Add in sides to share as needed depending on preference, we went with the asparagus and truffle fries. Didn't get a chance to grab a pic of the triangle offense (thick apple wood smoked honey glazed bacon, garlic bread, and crabcake). You can tell a lot about a place with their garlic bread it this place delivered. The trio comb was fantastic, made me forget about the cold front desk person. 100% recommend! The steak sampling platter was a little over 2 lbs of meat and lets you try the dry aged, the filet, and the ny strip all tougher. The different variety of sea salt and sauce on the side is a great touch so each person can season it to their own preference. Each steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Asparagus was good, a bit heavy on the lemon juice but very tender. Truffle fries I couldn't done without, they are almost shoestring size. If you like your fries to taste like potato chips then have at it. Overall I recommend going with the triangle and sampler with some sides if you have 4-6, just not the truffle fries. This lets everyone get a taste of everything while encouraging more conversation instead of each with their own set meal. Our server was fantastic and attentive but the hostess ruined the mood the second we walked in and the bartender under delivered on the signature drink. If the restaurant want to give an elevated dining experience I'd recommend making sure the front of the house (hostess) doesn't make the guests feel like we are imposing on their time first before all else. Probably wouldn't return for how much we spent and overall experience.

Yelp
Went into this restaurant a bit skeptical, however was truly blown away with the food and quality service. Overall would highly recommend and come back to for special occasions.

Yelp
Went to the Michael Jordan Steakhouse in Oakbrook since the Chicago location is still closed! It was an amazing experience and the FOOD. WAS. INCREDIBLE! Their famous garlic bread with secret sauce, the MJ burgers, and they even gave us a free dessert for our anniversary! We were hoping to try the 23 layer chocolate cake, but sadly they don't have right now on the menu. The service was so nice the second we walked in, 100% recommend you to try it! The ambiance was awesome!

Yelp
Service was attentive but a little unrefined, hectic, taking dirties over your head Quality of the ingredients were good but the flavors were a little disjointed and/or unbalanced

Joana C.

Yelp
My husband asked me to write a review because he had lunch here with his employ on Friday (9/27) and he couldn't stop talking about how great the experience was. He said the chef went above and beyond to make sure their lunch was memorable with a special touch to their 23 layer cake. He said everything they ate was delicious, so now I can't wait to go with him. Big shout out to the chef!

Yelp
Great food, service and ambiance. Went there for lunch and was blown away with the decor of MJ greatest moments. Awesome server and the food was really good and lots of specials throughout the week. I need to go on Thursday for the Tomahawk Steak special

Yelp
Took my son here for his 13th birthday and had a wonderful dinner, my son had filet mignon, and I had the salmon it was very delicious. Had the tuna for appetizer and the mac & cheese best mac & cheese I've ever had. The atmosphere is very nice and so is the service. Everything was perfect. I totally recommend this place..

Yelp
Our first time here. Decided to bring my wife here for her birthday and it didn't disappoint. Food and staff were amazing, not to mention the ambiance as well. Jose was our waiter and he went out of his way to make it a truly memorable birthday dinner for my wife and family, so many thanks to Michael Jordan's!

Yelp
I usually go to the MJ's downtown, which I love. They get 5 stars from me on every visit. I'm not mad at this MJs in Oak Brook. However, it isn't the same as the downtown Chicago location. I think the reason why is, like Trump properties, these restaurants are independently owned. MJ licenses out his name and memorabilia. This means THE MENUS ARE NOT THE SAME. This was a hard realization since my lady loves the downtown Chicago lava cake and ice cream. We came here specifically for the lava cake and ice cream, and we didn't learn that they didn't have it until the end of our reservation when the dessert menus came out. That's no one's fault. Just an FYI. The service was great. We were seated immediately and given the option of a private high table in the corner or a window booth. Our drinks hit perfectly. But to restate, THE MENUS ARE NOT THE SAME as the downtown location. So even my MJ burger seemed differently prepared. I think it was the shredded lettuce that reminded me of a McDonald's burger. My girlfriend's filet had another flavor that wasn't what she expected either. Nothing bad - just different than what we're used to. This location is great if you need to grab a quick bite before/after a movie/shopping at the Oak Brook mall across the street. PRO-TIP: Be sure to check in via Yelp when you arrive. When I checked in, my table was awarded a bonus of freshly toasted garlic bread which was goooooood!

Yelp
Never have I been to dinner, and from the moment I walked in, it was a GREAT TIME! *SCREAMING* MJ's Steak House is a huge hit!!!!! My opinion! Lol It was not crowded(we were there before 5:30p). The music was peaceful. The lighting was sexy and relaxing. We were able to sit before our reserved time. Yay! We started with a couple of cocktails. (check images). We had garlic bread to begin. MAGICAL! Next, we had a crab cake. The crab cake was so, so delicious! It was 99.999% lump crab and was tender, and flavorful! I wanted it to happen over and over! Lol We selected our dinners of Ribeye(me) surf and turf for hubs and we picked a few sides to pair well with our selected entrees. If our stomachs had allowed, we would have cleaned our plates!! We ordered Key Lime Pie and The 23 Chocolate Cake(16 layers of chocolate love) to go. We agreed that this would NOT be the last visit to this lovely place! The service was great. The food was top tier. And the water-did you know it was filtered 8 times!!!!! It was so refreshing! Have you been here!? If not, make a reservation and enjoy!!!!

Yelp
We celebrated our 12th anniversary at MJ's in Oak Brook. We've patron the MJ's in Chicago several times. The food here was good. We tried several of our favorites, no complaints. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I must say, the Chicago location has a much better ambiance and feel to it. They celebrated our anniversary with free desert, a free poster, and a card. Very thoughtful. I would definitely visit again.

Yelp
This was a wonderful dinning experience. It was our anniversary so we wanted to dine in somewhere special. My only complaint was for an anniversary, we were put in the overflow section and with families. The main restaurant area had dimmer lighting and was a better option for an anniversary. So be sure to ask for that spot ! Parking was easy and right outside of the restaurant , it was nice to be away from the main oak Brook strip mall where it's usually busier. The prime delmonico was the star of the evening, it was a melt in your mouth experience and done perfectly. Steak frites was wonderful, I wish the frites weren't as crispy as they were but still delicious. Highly recommend the mash , we asked for the horseradish sauce on the side and it was a nice add on to the meal Highly recommend this location for a nice date night out.

Tasha J.

Yelp
The service was great, food was delicious, I will return in the near future to try some other entrees.

Yelp
I recently celebrated my birthday here with some friends and we all had such an amazing experience. Out server was so friendly and attentive l, he had a lot of knowledge on the menu and he just seemed very down to earth. He suggested a few items and gave honest feedback on it. Everything that we ordered was delicious and very well prepared/cooked. The only thing was that the sides were not large enough to share with more than 2 people so just keep that in mind if you're going in a big group. Everything else was portioned very generously. The restaurant is nicely decorated with low-lit lighting which creates a nice vibe. I will definitely return for another lovely dinner.

Yelp
Bit hidden and outta the way, had a hard time finding this spot at first! Would've thought it'd be right next to all the shopping but no, MJ needs to stand alone. Appreciated they still honored our reservation being late ANNNND they honored the Yelp checkin offer (free half order of garlic bread, baked deliciously right there). This place is still figuring itself out, part of the ceiling was under construction and half of the restaurant looks attached to an abandoned office building. The bathrooms are basically shared with them. Very different from the Chicago location. It's also their 5th year in service here and they gave us a poster, free pens and coupon discounts for next time. Service was friendly and quick, very attentive. Enjoyed my steak, the size was just right for me and the sauce was really the star of the show, a spiced type of gravy spread that you'd gladly drink up. The mac n cheese was marked as MJs favorite but I don't really know why. It was just ok, not creamy or decadent, just the basic ingredients. Calamari appetizer was very lemony but crunchy. And the shrimp, well I only got two of them, i liked and the scallops were a bit undercooked and very chewy. Also the drink names were fun but the Zombie Sangria almost put me to sleep--and not in a good way. Yawn. Think this place needs another five years to have a menu that'll wow you.

Yelp
MJ's has to be the best kept secret in the Oak Brook area. If you want to try something different from Gibson's or Ditka's, head to MJ's. Free ample parking near the restaurant unlike the others. Walk into a cool bar area and a nice dining area. Great spot for a business lunch or after work beverages. Recently had a great lunch with the garlic bread to start. Comes with a unique yummy blue cheese sauce. My steak Cobb salad and chicken soup was delicious. My guest had the Cobb salad with chicken and lobster bisque soup, also delicious. Ivan our server was helpful and nice. The menu notes all of Michael Jordan's favorite dishes which you can't go wrong. Be like Mike.
google avatar

Damian K.

Yelp
My wife and I had the bone in ribeye. Mines was cooked to perfection. I asked for medium rare and I got exactly what I wanted. Seasoned good but it wasn't hot. My wife ordered her steak well done and it was medium rate as well! The service was prompt and friendly. The ambiance was really nice. I truly enjoyed the memorabilia. I would come back again.
google avatar

Jess R.

Yelp
Not gonna lie, we only went here because everything around was booked solid, and I can only assume this place was not due to it's higher prices. But it was definitely worth the money. I'm not really a big sports fan so the Michael Jordan memorabilia stuff didn't really add any appeal to me but the food was excellent. Some of the best calamari I've ever eaten. The salmon they make was fresh and tasted perfect. I really feel you get your moneys worth. My nephew got a nice MJ poster too which he was excited about. I'd definitely come back.

Yelp
Pros: There weren't much pros except for the - parking - great service The servers and staff were kind and attentive to us. They served the food on time and didn't keep us waiting too much. There's parking at this location so that's also a plus. Cons: - taste of the food - bathrooms were dirty The calamari and the garlic bread was good but everything else did not match up to the hype. The steaks had just too much of a coriander taste or something else that was just too strong for the steaks. The sides tasted so bland, no flavor what so ever. The bathrooms were really gross. You'd expect the place to be really neat and clean but it wasn't upto standard at all! Overall: I wouldn't really recommend going here for a date or a special occasion. Definitely did not match the hype whatsoever.
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
Awesome food! It will definetely come back. I had the filet mignon and it was chefs kiss. This one one of the best steaks I have ever tried in Chicago. My boyfriend had the KC Strip and it was amazing too. The mashed potatoes was delicious but the Mac and cheese could be better. Overall it was a fun night with great service and ambience and you will not regret it.

Yelp
Heard the food was overpriced was trying to make a reservation at this place they want a credit card to hold reservation way too much hacking going on nowadays so dont like to give out my information at places that require credit cards. Heard the food was good not sure but I guess I'll never find out because of credit card thing. We'll just stick with the Capital grille

Yelp
Saturday night, 630PM 9/23/23 Appetizers were fine. The only problem was our appetizers came out before our drink order! Should have taken that as a sign. We all ordered soups and salads... none came out and then they brought them with dinner after they forgot them. Food comes out and none of us had silverware. My Steak Frites was absolutely terrible. No flavor and ordered medium came out absolutely rare... almost Blue and had no crust. Fries were cold. My Ceasar salad when it finally came was absolutely the worst "Ceasar" salad I've ever had. The lettuce was brown and I don't even know how you call that Ceasar. It was like an Italian oil vinegar salad. I know what the menu says.. it's still doesn't make it better. That's not a Ceasar. The food that was correct was just average. This location used to be really good but unfortunately it is a shell of what it used to be. There are 5 other premium steakhouses within eyesight.

Yelp
Went there for a nice date. They went all out and made a special dessert with a message included. The waiter was very knowledgeable and very kind and friendly. A little pricey but very delicious

Yelp
After a dreadful failure of an evening elsewhere, we were greeted with a smile and seated promptly. The ambience is nice with pleasant music and the buzz of a busy restaurant with people having a good time. We opted for the Friday Surf-and-Turf deal, which for everything included is a pretty good deal: Two Starters, a NY Strip/Shrimp/Lobster Tail and dessert to share. The wife and I opted for French Onion Soup and Caesar Salad starters. A more subtle dressing in the salad but very tasty. Soup was rich and flavorful. Onto the main event. Steak was a spot-on mid rare. Shrimp was buttery and full of garlic flavor. Lobster was tasty and cooked well. Mashed potatoes were creamy and Mac and cheese rich and tasty. The key-lime pie was a tangy and sweet conclusion to a delicious meal. I also want to give props to the bartender for making my wife a custom champagne cocktail she really enjoyed. All in all a very enjoyable evening and we will be back again.

Yelp
It's been many years since I've been to Mj's in the city. We live in the burbs and remembered there is on in oakbrook. We came at an off time around 5:30, got in right away, food came fast, great service. We had the lobster bisque, we asked them to split it into 2 cups which was plenty with the rich flavor! I had the shrimp and grits- plenty of shrimp and the grits were prepared to a perfection. The fries were delish and the crab cakes were also a total win! A little pricy but a great experience! & Fun for basketball fans!

Gina G.

Yelp
Ate here last night and was highly disappointed. We got the legendary steak flight, Mac and cheese and fries. We waited 50 minutes for our food to come out, in that time the waitress never came back to our table to check on us. Once the food came the steak was room temperature, we ordered them all medium rare but they were super rare and barely edible, we ended up taking them home and I had to cook them more. The lobster was overcooked and the shrimp were undercooked. Overall for $300 the meal was not worth it nor was the service. We frequent perrys steakhouse and recommend people go there instead of here.

Yelp
Such a nice and good place, first time visit on a Friday for dinner! The atmosphere was good not too crowded!! The food was excellent had the surf and turf special and it's enough for 2 people! Can't wait to go back and checkout more of the food options

Yelp
I must say that the crabcake was absolutely delicious. 5.5 ounces of REAL crab. No fillers. And amazingly creamy and decadent taste. It is pretty heavy and you can definitely share it! We also ordered the macaroni and cheese, and that, too, can definitely be shared between a few friends. It was extremely creamy and satisfying!

Yelp
During our first time visit to Chicago, I wanted my husband to relive his admiration for his childhood hero, Michael Jordan. Our experience at MJ Steakhouse surpassed all expectations. We were promptly seated and our waiter graciously guided us through the menu. Opting for the garlic bread and the Jumpman drink, we were delighted by their exquisite flavors. For our main course, we indulged in the STEAK flight, accompanied by mac and cheese and fries, all of which were delectable. As our meal progressed, we were introduced to our exceptional chef, who took the time to elucidate the various pairing sauces and even treated us to samples from other menu offerings. Though the portions were generous for our party of three, we managed to take the leftovers back to our hotel, providing us with a satisfying meal for the following day. The food and service were exceptional, but what truly stood out was the personalized attention from both the chef and waiter. They generously took the time to give us a tour, sharing intriguing facts about the historical pictures and high school gym floor where Michael Jordan once played, located within their establishment. And then there were the shoes! My son, a devoted shoe enthusiast, was absolutely thrilled to witness the evolution of footwear over time. For any MJ fan, this experience is an absolute must!

Yelp
Came for the first time - pretty good food and staff. Wouldn't say this was my best experience ever, but it also wasn't awful. Our host was nice and knowledgeable, there wasn't many people there so not too loud. Overall good meal and I would consider coming back

Yelp
I came here for a business lunch several weeks ago. The interior is chic and dark, though I struggled to find the hostess station as it was quite far from the door I entered. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We were seated right away during a weekday lunchtime at a nice spacious booth across from the bar. Our server was lovely, wishing us a happy women's day and offering her suggestions from the menu. We all got salads, I got the MJ's chopped salad with no onion. Unfortunately it came stacked with onions. Our server was mortified and offered to have it immediately remade, but I can easily pick out onions so it was fine. Prices were reasonable for a lunch of salads and sodas, but I can see they get steeper for the namesake entrees. I would definitely come back to try the full experience of a steak at dinner time.

Yelp
Came for Tomahawk Tuesday. The food was absolutely fantastic. Every single bite was perfection. Service could've been better. Server seemed absentminded. Regardless we'll be back for the food.

Yelp
This is not ANYTHING like the first MJ restaurant I went too. First the decor is top notch! Especially the "secret room." Exclusive pics in there.....very nice. Service is impeccable. Paul was phenomenal with options chosen. Can't ask for anything else. Great job Paul. The food was wonderfully made. FIRST OF ALL, the garlic bread......OHMYGOODNESS!!!!! whew.....words can't express... The delmonico steak is worth every penny......however, the ribeye was charred and crusted perfectly.....with the garlic shrimp.....goodness personified.. The potatoes and string beans were an excellent compliment. The desert was truly wonderful......was thinking of going somewhere else....but glad I didn't ....cookies was phenomenal. Brownies was good....

Yelp
I came here for my brother's 30'th birthday with a party of four. I need to start by stating that it took an HOUR to be seated for a 7:30 reservation that was made well in advance, keep in mind that this restaurant closes at 9pm, so we all needed to hurry to order our drinks, appetizers, soups, entrees, and desert within 30 minutes - nothing was offered to make up for this fact. Our first waiter did not come to our table until [I believe] a manager came to check on us. After this, we had a new waiter, Phillip, who was absolutely terrific - he offered the best service and was so friendly. The appetizers were amazing, we ordered the garlic bread and bacon and shared this evenly among us. We also ordered the crab soup that was really good - and quite a large bowl! Then, expecting a decent steak for a steakhouse, I ordered the filet mignon medium well [don't judge], except it came out purple in the center, nbd they had to put it on longer, the cook did leave a little pink which it was OK. I was already not expecting it to be the juiciest when he had to bring it back, but the killer of the dish was the bearnaise butter. Seriously, what on earth??? It was a mix of different seasonings including mint and a serious load of salt. I had a side of horseradish sauce that I sometimes use for my steak - I could not even taste the horseradish from all the mint which is insane. This steak would have been good if it was not for the extreme seasoning through the béarnaise butter. We followed up with Phillip regarding it and he was shocked that there was mint in it, which led us to believe there was definitely a mistake. What a waste of a beautiful steak. After our entrees, the restaurant was empty and it felt like we were outdoing our welcome - it was hard to eat all of this within 30 minutes, so we unfortunately did not get desert for my brother's birthday. Also ps, the clothing they sell up front is only XXL+, no smaller sizes in stock just be prepared for that. Pss, as mentioned in other reviews, they have a center dining area that is so beautiful but the side rooms that have seating are a terrible fluorescent white bright light that is brutal on the eyes and definitely an appetite-ruiner, please get better lighting for these rooms.

Yelp
The food was incredible. I've never been more disappointed that my meal was over with after the last bite of my Filet Mignon. Bennie was our server. He was attentive and helped me pick out my beer which I ended up ordering another one of. The atmosphere was cool. Lots of pictures of MJ's history. Would have liked to see some balls and trophy's but the pictures sufficed. I highly recommend this place. You're going to pay more but this isn't supper club food. This is food you're gonna talk about in the future and miss it especially if you're not from the area like my wife and I.

Yelp
Michael Jordan's Steakhouse is located next to the Marriott Hotel. There is a lot of guest parking directly in front of the restaurant. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Our waitress Kiara was very friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. All menu items from signature garlic bread with sauce, soup, salad and burgers were excellent. Definitely returning for steak dinner next time.

Yelp
Came for dinner little before 4th of July. Ordered the Rhode Island calimari. The quality was good but it didn't come with the peppers, onions other garnishes that accompany Rhode Island calimari. Ordered a Jumpman 2.0. It was pretty tasty with a neat Jumpman insignia on top of the drink. For a side ordered macaroni & cheese. It was moist + soupy just like mummy used to make it. Went with the KC strip medium. Was pleased with the taste, seasonings and juicyness of the meat. Very savory. My dining companion ordered mushrooms which we shared as long with macaroni. The garlic bread comes with some kind of cheese sauce that was delightful.

Yelp
I love MJ, but I don't love the food here. I was super excited to try it but I had the bacon which was just too thick in undercooked fat, Caesar salad which tasted more like wish bone Italian dressing, ribeye - I asked for medium rare and it was more like Med-Med well, side mushrooms which tasted ok, and the chocolate bread pudding which was the best part. However, the amount of ice cream it came with was so tiny compared to the bread pudding I asked for another scoop just to make that dish make sense. When I received my bill I saw a $2.50 charge for that extra small vanilla scoop. Geez. The service here was good. No issues with the service. But I was disappointed with the food. Sorry MJ - but I hope reviews like this improve the quality for others.

Yelp
My daughter sent my bride and myself here for our 54th wedding anniversary and I have to tell you that this is an easy five star restaurant a little pricey but it was delicious. We each had Farro island, salmon and a salad and veggies and to everything was terrific. I attached a picture of my wife enjoying our anniversary there and the Keylime pie was terrific as well.

Yelp
I was expecting more of a touristy restaurant. I couldn't of been more wrong. I've been to a lot of fine dining around the country and this place held its own! The cheese fondue and butternut squash soup were amazing as starters! My filet for main course was excellent!! The only thing missing was the "Goat" Himself!! Great Food!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try MJ's restaurant. Had lunch at the Oak-brook location. The place is full of sports memorabilia which is cool to look at. I had calamari as an appetizer which was on point. My lunch was the French onion soup and Caesar salad. The soup was a little too salty for my palette. The star of the noon day lunch was the Garlic Bread. My so had the Steak & Frites which he said was delicious. There is valet parking however free parking in the rear on the second level and a short walk to the restaurant.

Yelp
We arrived for our reservation and we were all seated almost immediately. Our waitress brought us out waters to start and gave us time to look over the menu. I could tell she wasn't in the best of moods that night. After we all ordered, I noticed that the restaurant was pretty busy that night with private parties and basically a full house. Appetizers came out within an appropriate amount of time. The crab cake is a taste of delight in your mouth. I loved the freshness of the meat and the crunches of the light crumbles added on top. Definitely worth the price. I was told the sea bass was amazing. I wish I had ordered that too. Instead I ordered the steak and it was cooked well but I like my steaks to be heavily seasoned. I didn't taste much seasoning unfortunately. Good thing I had the au jus to dip each bite in. The loaded potatoes and Mac & Cheese sides were cool. I've had better though. I also ordered a patron margarita which was made PERFECTLY! If I could just come back for the crab cake and margarita, then I'll be a set loyal customer for sure.

Yelp
Great food and service highly recommend. We arrived early but it was no issue as they sat us down right away. Our server, Jose, was attentive and even gave us a tour of all MJs famous picture frames with his trophies. Definitely will be going back.
