Hello everyone, I want to share my experience at Michael's in Richmond TX, where I live. I placed an order about two weeks ago to have a canvas painting framed. The attendant was still learning about her position and helped as much as she could. She called her manager at home to assist her with my request. Every frame I wanted was not in their system, so I finally found one I liked along with a mat. I was excited to pick it up this coming Saturday; however, I received a call yesterday from someone at the store asking me to come in. At the time I did not understand the issue. After getting there the same person who assisted me was there and she didn't know why nor who called me. Guys, all I wanted was my canvas art framed. I was told we wont charge you any additional fees. Well okay, that sounds great, but I'm getting less. No mat and a cheaper frame. So, I asked for the reminder to be refunded. It was only $4.22. While waiting I thought about the service, then waiting 2 days prior to the date I was scheduled to pick up the finished product, and the rudeness from one of their managers, Andy. When Andy was trying to figure out how to refund me $4.22 I began to ask a question and he was rude again. This is when I decided to cancel my order and ask for a full refund of over $200. I was advised by the manager " Ma'am we can only refund you the amount of the frame, not the tax " . I was upset and asked why. Like any normal human being. There was no reason to my understanding why I paid one amount and no work was done, and it wasn't my fault the art could be framed per my order. The manager didn't want to give me a full refund. I then raised my voice and said I am not leaving without my full refund. Andy, the manager said " Ma'am I'm going to call the police if you don't stop raising your voice. Of course I didn't and advised him to call the police. Why is it that" some" people think calling the police on a black person will solve an issue, when all I wanted was a full refund. After, I began my FB live and recorded him, he then decided to give me a full refund. Michael's it's time to have sensitivity training for your employees. This type of treatment is totally unacceptable. Thanks for my refund and you just lost all of my business and hopefully others.
