Why I Take All My First Dates to Olive Garden | Bon Appétit

"A craft-supply store located across the parking lot that serves as a pleasant post-dinner diversion, where the narrator likes to browse art supplies—especially enjoyable when slightly tipsy from wine." - ByKristen N. Arnett

Quite a few shelves were empty and the cashier really didn't know all of the sales. I spent so much time arguing with her that I finally just told her to take several things off the receipt. Someone who witnessed put her entire cart back and left the store. The cashier did send someone to check a price of a craft cart because it was marked down $30. I was not about to pay $50 when it was marked only $20! The cashier was pleasant and tries her best. But there was a young man working that day who was STUPENDOUS! HE WAS A TALL, VERY GOOD LOOKING BLACK YOUNG MAN and I wish I had gotten his name. He went the extra mile for everyone who asked him for anything. From unlocking the bathroom door, to hunting down product, to answering questions, he was amazing!! The prices has risen so much, it's awful but this employee is the reason I will continue to shop at Michaels. He gets 5 stars just by himself!!

We had an amazing experience with Aislin in the custom framing department at Michaels! From the moment we walked in, she was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. She took the time to listen to what we wanted, offered thoughtful suggestions, and guided us through all the framing options with patience and expertise. Aislin’s eye for detail and genuine passion for her work really made the difference. We couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for custom framing done right!

I mean it's a typical store. It's organized for the most part. I don't mind going there when I need or want to. Workers are friendly and helpful.

Google
Such wonderful customer service! I called to inquire about balloons for my son’s upcoming bday. The person that answered the phone was so kind and patient while I asked a bunch of questions about balloons.

Great selection. And staff were very helpful and dedicated when I had an issue with my gift card. I had received a gift card for the holidays and there was an error with the card being filled when it was purchased. The people working Tuesday evenings were the ones helping me at checkout, and were all very accommodating. I appreciate their patience and helping me find a solution instead of just denying my purchase. They deserve a raise!

Awesome place. Good collection of many items especially seasonal ones. It's mine & my daughter's fav store. Very organized & clean store. Prices are reasonable too & comparable with Target.

Google
This store is well stocked with arts and crafts supplies, I would gladly recommend this place even though it could be on the pricey side. Other than that, great customer service and I will come back to this place again

Yelp
Wanted to give a shoutout to Thresia, Stefan, and Morgan. All of them were very helpful in navigating the clear gloss coating that I needed for my small art project. It was nice because talking to each of them they all had separate experiences with different applications that they've used, which helped Me decide which one was the best fit. I went with the Kaylin clear glaze spray and it worked like a charm!

Yelp
We're usually a Joann's family but with Joann's going out of business, we are forced to find another craft store. My husband swung by this store to pick up some fabric so we could whip up a quick table cloth. He picked out a fabric however he was told by the store associate that there was no one designated to cut fabric today so he will have to come back tomorrow. Cutting a piece of fabric doesn't need it's own employee and it's not difficult to locate a pair of scissors. I honestly just get the vibe that the employee didn't want to do it. I will have to find another fabric store because it is pointless to go somewhere for fabric if the employees refuse to sell it. I am still confused over the whole interaction and not in a positive way.

Yelp
The rewards $$ you earn from purchases you have to use in 30 days. That's a Ridiculously short amount of time. Now that I know this, I won't shop at any Michaels EVER again. I'll go to Craft Warehouse.

Yelp
I visited this location on my way to the Oregon Coast. The store is very clean with quite a bit of inventory. The sales associate Lisa was friendly, welcoming, and pleasant. Overall, it is a great place to find a huge selection of arts and crafts supplies.

Yelp
Literally purchased stuff online yesterday. Picked it up today, and they charged me for the stuff I ordered but gave me something completely different. Tried to return it (while still in the store mind you), and they said that they have to return it as having no receipt although they have the receipt literally right there that came with my order. The employees were rude, like I was a hassle, they were ignoring customers. Personally, I will never shop here again, easier just to order on Amazon.

Gene J.

Yelp
App refused my credit card. Drive over to purchase items. However to get the 30% off you need to scan code from your phone or use app. What a load of scam crap. Just have a barcode at register. I told customer service if app worked correctly I wouldn't be in store. Couldn't get app or code so left items. I don't believe in playing this game with customers. D-

Yelp
This review is for the super awesome customer service that Sydney gave us today. She had a line of customers and some "you scan" stations with lots of questions and she kept her cool and was attentive and helpful to everyone. She is an efficient worker and has excellent customer service skills, very rare.

Yelp
It's okay - typical Michael's craft store, same as others I have been to. This is my go-to craft supply store and they usually have what I need or something close enough that I can make it work. Very narrow aisles, lots of options but also lots of... let's say inexpensive stuff from overseas. Plenty of inspiration and crafty rabbit-holes to daydream about. The checkout line is kind of a gauntlet of frustration for anyone with kids in tow, as it's a narrow funnel full of candy and stuffed animals and tiny treasures that are all at child-height for grabbing.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
I ordered online and my order was ready the next day for pick up. I just pulled up to the front of the store because they do not have dedicated spots for pick up. I checked in from my text that I arrived and was parked in spot #1 and an associate brought my order to my car. I have not been inside the store since Covid started in March but I have had a couple pick up orders that have gone with ease and all orders were correct.

Yelp
I'm not really the "arts and crafts" type but every now and then I get involved in a project and Michaels is usually my "go to" place for the materials I need. Clean, well stocked, well lit stores. It's a chain and each store looks about the same as the next and all seem to be similarly stocked. Reasonable prices. Cheerful, efficient staff. The only negative for me is that while I am walking around the store trying to find the items I need, I always seem to come across a few items that are not on my list but when I see them I just have to buy them.

Yelp
I could literally spend hours browsing in this store. There is so much to look at. I'm not into crafting by any means, but even so this store has treasures that I enjoy finding. Today I visited Michael's searching for peacock feathers and holiday tapers for my dining table. I found both and the candles were even on sale! This Michael's store is a bit smaller than the one in Beaverton but it still carries a great variety of merchandise. The store is clean, well organized and has good lighting. Some of the side aisles are only wide enough for one cart so it can be difficult getting around someone if the item you want is beyond them. I've had to go around in circles trying to reach something. But this is a minor inconvenience. The main aisles are easier to navigate. The sales people here have always been pleasant and helpful. Michael's has a rewards program that offers coupons and online savings. Michael's is a great place to shop for holiday decorations, artificial flowers and vases, candles, baskets, frames, beads and beading supplies, yarn, stickers and so much more. There really is something of interest for everyone at Michael's. It's a fun place to shop.

Yelp
Today I stopped-in at the Michael's located at Tanasbourne Center in Beaverton (near 185th/Evergreen). I encountered an extremely helpful sales associate-Lisa. She was the consummate customer service representative for the store. Excellent experience. Well things got a bit complicated a bit later when I returned home to discover I had lost my wedding band. Arghh! I called the store thinking I may have lost the ring while shopping at Michael's , not knowing I was speaking to the same person (Lisa) who assisted me earlier. I was assured that all employees would be made aware of my loss and I would be notified if my ring was located. I so appreciated the genuine concern expressed. A couple hours later I decided to revisit the store and search my route inside the store that I likely traveled. To my shock I found the ring partially obscured by product that earlier in the day I spent time browsing through. I couldn't believe it! Elated is an understatement An employee in the area inquired if I needed assistance. I explained how I found my ring I had lost earlier. The employee told me the entire store staff was alerted and told to keep a lookout for the ring during the course of duties. I was so impressed when I heard it was Lisa who did that. Talk about follow through! Not 5 stars but 5 hundred stars to this amazing employee. Are you hearing this management at Michael's Beaverton, Oregon??? You have a true Winner there! My heartfelt thanks to Lisa and the entire staff. Bravo everyone!

Yelp
Order a few painting items to be picked up curb side. Followed the prompts and stated I was present and ready for my order. The app asked me to select a parking spot. I immediately looked around and saw no marked spots, drove to the side of the building- nothing. The back of the building and again, nothing. I picked a spot and waited to see what happened. Then I saw an employee standing on the curb, she went back inside by the time I got to where she was. She called and saw my car. Once outside, she said that you're suppose to park on the curb. I responded, the app stated to choose a parking spot. She replied, yeah we're having confusions but curbside means curbside and You didn't describe your car. Why would I need park on the curb in the main shopping drive- through? Why would I describe my car when I selected a parking spot!?? Every other retailer has marked parking. How about pick up so of those great arts and craft supplies you sell and make a damn sign for people to park for curbside pickups!!!

Yelp
I'm 7 months pregnant in a pandemic with wildfires burning down everything. I asked one your older employees if the restrooms were open (it's a pandemic). She said yes, pointed and gave instructions, then followed me in the bathroom to make sure I didn't steal anything I guess??? Wtf is wrong with people. I didn't carry anything in there except myself and my purse. I left the cart outside. I think I don't look very threatening and/or suspicious, though I disagree with that type of profiling. I just needed to get out of the house to get Christmas stuff before the baby comes. I literally am so discouraged by the world and people. But I got what I needed. The cashier was nice.

Yelp
This location is not as big as the one in Beaverton but this is staffed with friendly people. The store is clean and well lit. Their sticker aisle got expanded with nice rolling displays to allow more sticker selection. They have the stickers well organized. They need more metal cut dies though. I wish they sold some of the major brands like Lawn Fawn, Avery Elle, hero arts which are available online or at specialized craft boutiques. I really do like the Michael's brands too because they're in tune with the current card making trends typically and they sell for affordable prices. My favourite is using the Michael's customer loyalty program. They are excellent at having plenty of people at the regisers to keep their waiting lines short.

Marisa M.

Yelp
The kind soul that just helped me cash out just gave me one of the most pleasant experiences in any retail store I have ever been to. They were wearing a black face mask and had dark short hair. They were working the register that was closest to the door on the right side. Didn't catch their name but they were so sweet and let me know about multiple coupons that made and will make a big difference when making my next large purchase. Hope they see this, if so - you are awesome!
google avatar

Jim C.

Yelp
Dumbest... policy... ever. I tried to pay for a purchase that totaled $47.25 by giving some bills and a quarter. I was informed by the clerk that they couldn't accept the quarter and that they had to give me $.75 in change. When I asked why, I was simply told "it's the policy." It's not the poor clerk's fault, as obviously she's been instructed to say this, but seriously?? We're literally in the midst of a national coin shortage, and Michael's is by policy making the problem worse instead of better. Won't accept cash? Fine. Don't want large bills? Fine. But this policy is both utterly pointless and annoying.
google avatar

Deanna F.

Yelp
Lots of cool products. But I have to say the staff was less then friendly... I had a rewards voucher, so she scanned it. Then I said 'I have coupons can those be used with rewards vouchers?" She said "yes... But since I scanned your rewards voucher first I can't scan your coupons.".. I asked her to just redo the transaction.... She said she could but I'd probably lose my voucher... I asked her "why she couldn't have mentioned anything before she scanned my voucher?" She got defensive and said "its company policy. And I should have showed my coupons before I showed my voucher." Also I can never seem to find anyone in the store to ask general questions while I shop... I wish Joanns had a bigger painting section, because they are much friendlier.
google avatar

Grace L.

Yelp
Masks are not enforced whatsoever in this store. Id suggest going to Joanns where they actually give a f*ck about the health and safety of their customers.
google avatar

Yelp
This is probably one of my favorite Michaels locations - I swear I have found things here which I have not found at other locations and their stocks of stuff seem less "raided". I was reminded of that running over there the other day and coming out with a crazy amount of Halloween stuff. And now you get even more coupons (yes, get their coupons!!!) with their reward card.
google avatar

Marvin W.

Yelp
The lady at the front over rides the coupon I had originally scanned. She applied a buy one get 1 50% off but I had a 30% off coupon that had given me a better deal. I would of saved an extra 3 dollars but they refused to redo the sale. The store is super dirty they do not sanatize there key paid after every person. This store should not allow to operate under these conditions. Terrible customer service I will never come to this location again.
google avatar

Lynette D.

Yelp
They need an option where you can review just the framing department of Michael's. The store itself, overall, is great. You want some sort of craft supplies you'll probably find it here. The framing department is another story. They had a 70% off custom framing sale so I hopped in there to get my $30 12"x36" print framed. I chose the most basic cheap frame and the least expensive matting... Any guesses on the price? $245...AFTER the 70% off! There is absolutely no way. . The Cannon Beach store where I bought the print had a framed copy of it but I was too cheap to pay the $125. Guess who will now be driving back to the coast to shell out $125.... My tightwad ways definitely burned me this time!
google avatar

Janet M.

Yelp
This is my neighborhood Michaels. I have spent much of my life in Michaels, first with my artist mom who framed all her own art but got mats custom cut from them, later with crafty friends ( quilters and scrapbookers) and more recently with my very crafty child. She likes.to make herself things. Her two bedrooms are stuffed. I'm not so crafty. Really I like to decorate with beautiful things other people have made. Well, ok, so occasionally I think I am crafty too but I rarely finish anything. Its a character flaw. I cant give this outpost four stars. Its often quite hard to find help in here and when you do find someone its not always pleasant. I think they overwork and underpay their staff and they need to fix it. Also the one time they (very expensively) framed three prints for me one of the inner mats was wrong and every time I see it on the wall ( because I didnt notice it immediately ,I was stuck with it) it makes me mad. Ugh. To give you a rundown of what we saw on Friday night from 7 until they closed at 8: stickers, craft books, minion coloring books, storage bins, fake flowers, candles, cake decorating suplies, beading materials, crayons and markers and paints, picture frames, wall art, wall decals, thread, doll clothes and shoes, flipflops, water bottles, candy, wooden letters, etc. They still have my black wire Eiffel tower jewelry holder that I got last year. Same price. My kid has been a little too plugged in since school got out ( the broken arm not helping) so we came here last minuteish on a Friday night so she could choose little wooden stuff to paint over the weekend. These things are cheap. A hinged box and a Victorian house and some cheap brushes and a few inexpensive bottles of acrylic. I also got a cute sunflower bin ($5) to store them in and bought myself some art supplies to try my hand at acrylics on canvas for my new single lady bedroom. What? Maybe this time I will turn out to be crafty!!

Yelp
I am completely appalled by the lack of customer service and professionalism. Today at 5:30PM, I went into the store with my 16 month old son. As I was walking down one aisle, I noticed the Silhouette Cameo on a bottom shelf labeled "Silhouette Cameo CLEARANCE. Original $269.99, now $179.99" I did a double take, picked up the box and noted that it stated "Display box only". I took a picture of the clearance label to make sure I was seeing it correctly, and placed the empty display box in my cart, as it directed to take to register. I went to the register to purchase this item. The employee told me that she had to "have someone get it from the cage". Moments later the Associate Manager, Susan walked up, dropped off the older version of the Cameo and said "This is the one for $179" and walked away. Confused, I asked the employee if she could have the manager come back because they are two different versions. (It was like trying to give me an iPhone 4, when you said the iPhone 6 was on sale). Susan came back instantly confrontational. She claimed that they are practically the same and that the original is the one on clearance. Regardless if this is true or not, this is a classic example of false advertisement. To my surprise, Susan kept trying to walk away - as if to say, too bad, it's this or nothing. I told her I was appalled with her lack of customer service and that they should honor the advertised price. I asked who her manager is and she replied, "Ron, but I don't know when he will be here next". Susan then reluctantly agreed to honor the advertising. However, in the same sentence said, they are out stock so she can't do anything for me. She cannot honor the price at another store, nor can she hold the item when it comes back into stock because they "can't hold caged items". She kept trying to walk away again. I was honestly in shock, how can a manager lack such professionalism? I said she isn't even attempting to rectify the situation. She said "what do you want me to do?" I asked her to honor the price. She told me that they don't have it so buy it online for $269. I asked her to write down my contact info and have Ron call me. On the piece of paper, she wrote my name, number and "Silhouette Cameo $269, wants for $179". Wow. I will be contacting Ron, in addition to Michael's Corporate Office and Silhouette America.

Yelp
I went to the Tanasborne locaton on November 4, 2020 to find a note on the door "Temporarily Closed". Many people walked up only to be turned away. I was hoping the store could update Yelp to let everyone know when it will be open again.

Yelp
Each Michaels location is a separate experience.... This location was great! I went in by chance, hoping to find halloween village items to add to our collection. The staff was super friendly, helpful and even offered to look into the back storage room to find what I was looking for. He came back letting me know he'll need more time and would it be ok to keep shopping and come back in about 15 minutes. I went out to run other errands and returned about 30 minutes later. The same team member recognized me, and said "found it!". he had everything already in a bag but I asked if i could please make sure nothing was broken. He opened the box, very carefully, showed me the piece and helped me replace it back into the box just as delicately. Amazing service! I wish I could recall the person's name and shame on me for not highlighting his above and beyond help to his manager... That said, I know he will shine again with another customer and hopefully that customer takes the time to note his name :) thanks again!
google avatar

Brent W.

Yelp
I frame mostly inexpensive art here when they have good promotions and I can find a frame that fits the piece. I have entrusted a couple more valuable pieces to them which turned out very well. Frame central costs a bit more but is an alternative in this price category. Their frame selection is not so great.

Yelp
This Michaels is hit and miss. There will be times where shopping here is stressful and time consuming and others where the store is quiet and one can wander aimlessly around with almost the whole store to themselves. Of course if you prefer the latter hitting up the store early during a weekday is a must, but good luck if you have a job with typical work hours. Anyways... They often have heavy discounts on seasonal items. For instance, most Independence Day items are now 80% off and general gardening decor is 70% off. Buying after the holidays for the next year can provide huge savings. There is also an 'as-is' section is the back left corner of the store with good discounts on potentially damaged items. I'm usually here with the intention to buy one item that I can't find anywhere else which results in wanting someone to lead you directly to that item. This is a huge issue in this store. Finding an associate to help you locate something can take just as long as locating the item itself. They are often no where to be found. Checkout lines can be long during peak hours. Use that time to pull up coupons on an app for better savings. I use GeoQpons as they always seem to have coupons for Michaels. I did have a very nice associate at the checkout counter last time I was here. My phone was having problems and died right as I was pulling up the coupon and she gave me the discount anyways.
google avatar

Julia W.

Yelp
This store is by far the best in the Portland area. Easy to find everything and employees are always available to help. Never has long lines either.
google avatar

Hailey D.

Yelp
Overpriced unless you have coupons. Online order pick up is a nightmare. Check out is super slow. The store is fairly organized, though.
google avatar

Ron T.

Yelp
It's the Ikea of craft stores. Ikea's products are oftentimes criticized cheap and disposable. Well, so are the materials when making craft. You turn crap into craft. It is as simple as that. They often run sales and run occassional coupons so your palm fronds come a lot cheaper than what it usually is. It usually looks jaded due to lots of traffic but the staff cleans them up fast. Minus one star for them not fixing their entrance door.
google avatar

Jackie S.

Yelp
I'm writing specifically in reference to the Custom Framing that this Michaels location does. I've had two of my favorite concert posters framed here...I wait till they offer the custom framing sales and come in. The Michael's employee in the Framing Department that has taken my framing order was super helpful...both times he was willing to work with me to understanding what frame, matting, and mounting methods would look best with the color of the poster, the color of the wall I was mounting it on, and the look I was going for. Definitly wait till they have their sales for the custom framing, which occur a few times a year. For the price and quality I haven't found a place in the Portland metro area where it can be beat!
google avatar

Maxene H.

Yelp
I've been to many Michaels over the years and do expect to see some of that chaos; misplaced items, sharpie markers being tested on other nearby displays, stock paper placed in the wrong bins... but this one is very unorganized all the time... I hardly find what I am looking for and if/when I do it's the last one/or has been tested out before I get to it.. Employees are always nice and very helpful. This Michaels lacks: Fabric, no quilting to be done, or aprons to be made. No seasonal house decorations or ornaments, small isles, and seems like they do not offer community classes.. I might be wrong but I don't ever see any promotion for cake making courses like Jo-ann's..
google avatar

Chef F. O.

Yelp
I am not a regular customer of Michaels. I have been in a few of them here and there with most of them being newer locations. This particular location seemed very dated and disorganized. Granted it was the week after Christmas and I understand that retailers get raped and pillaged, but this store appears to have been a disorganized mess even before the holiday rush. There was no rhyme nor reason for some product placement and the majority of the stock was just piled and dumped on shelves and bins. This place reminded me of one of those old hardware stores that has everything that you could ever want, but only the old proprietor knows just where that illusive part is located in the inventory. The cleanliness vibe was that of an old California K-Mart from the 90's before they bit the dust. Most of the staff were pretty frumpy and unpleasant. Some of their name tags were literally written on a strip of masking tape. Umm, aren't there craftier ways to make a name tag, especially considering what type of store this is supposed to be? Just a dismal and depressing place. The clerk in the framing department was very friendly and helpful (the only one that smiled and was pleasant) and even gave us a coupon for future use that would work out to be a better deal in the long run on a project that we inquired about. Many employees wandering about, but not really organizing anything. With the obvious security cameras, dummy domes, monitors, etc., I got the feeling that the employees were out there as loss prevention. They all seemed to have an agenda while patrolling around, but asking customers if they needed help finding anything in this mess of a store was not one of them. The online coupons were helpful, and my friends were happy with their post holiday clearance finds. Many items seemed to be a bit high to me for what they were, but I really think the grime level and disorganization made everything seem out off kilter here.

Judy H.

Yelp
Great store! Organized and prices clearly marked. I can't say enough about the staff. It has always been a fun experience going to this store. Always come away with a smile on my face. Even my husband enjoys going to this store with me!
google avatar

Erick B.

Yelp
This is a favorite of my wife and my daughters, they go absolutely ape-shit over the projects they have here. Everything from activities for holidays to seasonal stuff. Everything is laid out well, and the staff has always been helpful and attentive when we have questions. Do yourself a favor and sign up for their email coupons and text specials and save yourself some cash. We are frequent flyers here and the kiddos never get bored...

Yelp
Who ever worked this morning needs to be fired asap has no respect for his clients. I watched as he gate kept the door close till the last second to let older women in, I'm didn't even go there to shop but that was completely disrespectful to those women. How dare he it's below freezing and raining

Julia S.

Yelp
Cashiers were not friendly and had bad attitudes. Very disappointed with how I was treated.

Yelp
Nice enough when you place the order in the store but rude and unhelpful on the phone when following up about order. Like nails on a chalkboard.
google avatar

Yelp
Yesterday was my first time visiting this location & I wasn't too impressed with the lack of selection & poor customer service. I was informed that this was one of their smaller sized stores, but I noticed a lot of items were out of stock throughout the store as well. It was difficult to match up sale prices to the correct items with how the signs & displays were set up. It became apparent that other customers had even more trouble than I did with tfhis as I watched t I think in the long slow movinghh&"

Yelp
The WORSE customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm holding my 9 month old baby girl and I'm trying to find my coupons on my phone and the cashier had a snobby look on her face. I asked her if she knew if any of the items I had had a coupon for it....and she just stood there staring out the window into the parking lot and just not helpful. Never smiled...not helpful!!!

Shanae B.

Yelp
I really like going to the Tanasbourne Michael's. I'm a huge scrapbooker and only once was I not able to find what I needed. On that occasion though, the staff searched floor to ceiling. They're always friendly and willing to help if you ask and they're always willing to lend some creative ideas if you're in the midst of an artistic block.
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
Worst Michaels ever. Been in a few times and all of my experiences are bad. Even called corporate. Nothing changed. It's the busiest week of the year being Christmas they could have had more than 2 people working. I won't go back.
google avatar

Becky M.

Yelp
I didn't like to shop here before but because JoAnn's has decreased their paper crafts I came back after about a year. What a wonderful surprise to see the store rearranged and a fabulous assortment of every kind of crafts. I'm very happy with the paper craft selection and Recollections paper is the best. I have only had very friendly cashiers. I'm quite happy with this Michael's store.
google avatar

Diva A.

Yelp
I am pretty disappointed with the selection of this store; they have pretty much all the types of craft you could want, but very small selection of each. Basically, you will go in and find the few aisles, find *almost* what you were looking for, but not exactly, or not close enough. The biggest selection they have is of frames, and way too much of the store is dedicated to seasonal decorations. I come to a craft store for craft supplies...not really decorations. Now, I don't mind seasonal make-it-yourself decorations, but most of these are pre-made and way overpriced. Also, organization is in serious disarray. It must be a very busy location, because items are kind of strewn about everywhere and colors/types of items will be mixed around the aisles. Not their fault they have shitty customers that do that, but it's a pain in the ass when you're looking for something in particular and it's moved by someone. Also, the aisles are pathetically small. I can't get past some areas if a person has a shopping cart. Seriously, I never even have a shopping cart and I can't get past someone who does, I have to trek through another isle and back behind them just to see the rest of the aisle. Or I could suck my belly in and awkwardly squeeze past...but I'm not really here for Yoga. Employees are fine, but the lines will get long and they'll take far too long opening another aisle. By the time another aisle will open, the line is already almost gone. I think I've come here over ten times and actually walked out with something four times. Of those times, two times was the item I was looking for, so...I guess if you can't find it anywhere else, this store might actually have it.

Yelp
Went to go buy a little something for my mom here for a project my sister and I were doing. The worker started following my sister and I around the store, staring at us as if we were stealing! We are PAYING customers. She stared at us obviously. If you're going to check up on customers, do it where they won't notice! To top it off, she followed us ACROSS THE STORE TO THE CHECKOUT. Keep in mind, we did not have any bags or anything on us. Just pockets and our very large items that we were going to purchase. Ridiculous. Will NOT be returning.

Yelp
Michael's has definitely made some improvements over the last few months! They're regularly well-stocked again with a good selection for every craft. Gone are the days where I can never find my crafting staples, I can count on Michael's again to have what I need at a good price. I do prefer the other location in town, but I'm very glad that this location has stepped it up a bit.

Yelp
What a shame, this store is such a letdown I will never be returning. I love Michael's, I go almost weekly and spend a heft part of my paycheck there getting Planner accessories. The closest one to me is this one and the store is horrid! It's so unorganized and messy, I'm surprised corporate hasn't done something about it yet. What's worse than that is the customer service by the employees. They are incredibly rude, won't help you when you ask (can barely get a finger pointed where as competitor stores will walk you to the section you're looking for), and are short and curt and ring you up with attitude. Because I love Michael's I will start driving the extra 15 minutes on top of the 15 minute commute to avoid the poor experiences I have received at this store. I have dealt with the cashier Susan a couple of times and at first I thought she was nice but it was just a facade as she was actually extremely rude to me and my children. I left the store shocked, and it stuck with me for days. I can't believe an employee can treat a customer like she did. Avoid that location at all costs!! There's a store in Portland that is better than Beaverton, the poor service was bad enough for me to drive a farther distance!

Yelp
I didn't get a chance to check out the store too much. I walked in and found an employee at the door and asked for E6000 glue. She was nice enough to walk me over to the aisle and show me where it was. Thank you for not telling which aisle it was and abandoning me! Just like that I was and out of the store. If you have a smartphone, always check for coupons!
